Still have the problems with over geared players running non High Roller just to take advantage of GS. Its lore to stay away from low lvl quests when youre the top dog. Match the lore to the game.

my biggest advice for new players is not to have gear fear, its extremely easy to get a decent kit by just looting 1-2 game and buying a blue weapon. You will very rarely go against people in purples and thats the only way to get better. Gold is also extremely easy to get currently

i do not think so no, the quest required you to go into a HR lobby so f2p players couldnt complete it. The quests give very very good rewards later on and if you just wait a little bit im p sure golden keys will go back down

That'd just bring the old ruins meta back. Where you chill in a safe module and twiddle your thumbs and then spawn rush in crypts/inferno. If you fight in the first layers, then all you do is increase the odds of getting third partied massively (or getting a cheater into your lobby kek), without any of the benefits. Also the ppl that joined in first layer lack heals/prot potions and would be at a potentially massive disadvantage.

Maybe a way to buy limited amount of stuff between layers. And also maybe there needs to be a way to delve deeper that is more "active" then just waiting for a gate. Maybe you as individual player (or group) have to do something. Of course there could also be totally different solutions.

I honestly love warlock I just wish people asked for removing Torture Mastery on release, rather than being in this situation warlocks are in now. If the devs didnt WASTE A WHOLE YEAR on tuning warlock around a poorly designed perk, it would probably be a more balanced and interesting class all round

That's true, its just like, Lifedrain is a good spell on the fundamentals. It has it's downsides, and it has it's upsides. It could use a tweak sure, but ultimately it's a good spell design wise

TM is just bad design fundamentally. It's like if you gave rangers a full 20stack of arrows for hitting 1 arrow, or if Wizards got all their spell slots back off of a Zap. Only worse, because HP is the strongest resource in the game.

The gimmick of Warlock is that their spells cost health. A perk that has no other function but removing that one gimmick is bad class design. The 3x cost update is whatever, you see less of them, but things like Shadow Touch should be what Torture Mastery is. That should scale, it has so much more risk to it than "CoP runaway, Phantomize if they get close, repeat"

Now because Warlocks have access to the Kris, and because I really want to use the arming sword (It's faster and longer than the Falc) I could see Shadow Touch having a bit of power creep there.

my point is mainly that, playing Warlock with the health cost, is what warlock is designed around being. and Torture Mastery isn't playing Warlock, it's playing the Perk.

I think warlock should have been made to not really have much healing in its kit and when you casted a spell you lost the hp temporally. So you cast a 10 hp spell and have to wait for the hp to come back kinda like the lich boss circle dmg

Maybe I think the way it plays on paper is a lot like wizard, a few Bolts of Darkness will cost you about the same time sitting down as a wizard's zap or what not will. You can just be more mobile using health potions or bandaids to recove the "spell slot" instead of sitting. I think the best possible thing they could add for warlock is a curse that ON DEATH restores HP to the Warlock. So you can cast all you want on a skeleton, player, whathaveyou, get hit a few times, kill them, get health back.

in solos any class with movespeed's only choice is to run away from the barb making the game feel very boring for both sides in my opinion. the barb is forced to chase endlessly bc the other classes have no choice but to run away forever. idk i feel like everytime i play barb or play vs barb I just feel like it is very one dimensional and offers very little variation in how fights go. most fight end up coming down to if the barb catchs the person the barb wins and if the barbs oppenent can run away or do enough dmg before the 1 shot machine gets on top of them they have a chance. just boring and easy mode in my opinion

Base stats wise every item at the same level of rarity will have the same base stats (epic riveted gloves will always give 5 strength, and are usually always good to pick up) but modifiers make or break items. Even a usually useless ring or necklace with good mods is worth a decent chunk, so you have to check most items

Buff duration and debuff duration can be worth something but are a bit niche. Memory capacity isn't inherently worthless, but is on some weapons. Luck is (usually) a dead roll unless you're doing some meme 400 luck build

the enviro effects can hurt you as well, albeit little damage but it does increase the closer the game comes to an end, so it will kill you if you're low health

Ice Archer: 2 strategies. Either hug the archer and strafe around when he bop, then attack, or single poke then back up, baiting the bop but being too far away to get hit. Or cat form.

Ice Axeman in Abyss: When axe is raised, wait for it to get real close. When it about to chop, turn roughly 60-90 degrees left or right, then just strafe away or strafe and jump. Get single attack in while it is recovering from attack.

Learning trap placement is important as a Ranger. Generally, dark gaps not illuminated by dungeon lanterns, just around corners, or underneath mob corpses are popular spots to put traps. Also, jump constantly as a Ranger. When you only hop over your traps, folks will catch on where you've placed them. But if you hop a lot, it'll keep folks confused about where you might've placed your traps.

Depends on rarity I believe, anywhere from 8 to 14 seconds. Not sure if this is affected by the players debuff duration but as the trap shows up on your buff bar, it is probably affected.

If you mean, "How long does each hunting trap last?" the answer is depends on rarity. Poor traps last 8 seconds, common traps last 10, uncommon thru legendary last 14 up to 26 seconds. That's only attached to the person, mind you. On the dungeon floor they last until stepped on or disarmed.

You can avoid the melee attack from the bow by backing up a little and crouching and looking up or down, you have to be in the middle of the archer being slightly to either side will get you hit. To deal with the axe skeleton you can strafe to either side or strafe away

Not in my experience. You just stop attacking and strafe away. Crouch jumping while you strafe seems to help. Granted I haven't been hit by one while wearing plate or being a barb

Statistically, the best value you will get out of copper is the ore. Right now it is selling for 55g per ore on the low end. If you want to try and make money off of copperlight gear, you'll turn it into powder then craft either copperlight pants or copperlight attire from the common grade occultist pants or wanderers attire. But that's a slow profit compared to just selling the ore.

What the merchant sells depends on the affinity you have with them, completing quests for a given merchant will give you more affinity and their shops will have more and higher tier items. Thinking of it now, quests are a reason to buy the game, there are many quests that require elite versions of mobs to be killed. This is a lot easier in HR.

Orginally, the first few alpha tests of the game only had trios. I think even the devs themselves said that trios is the focus of the game. Most people can't solo certain bosses designed for trios. Is there a way to get better at fighting nightmare mobs besides spamming high roller? These are what I've had in mind lately:

Demon-specific, appropriately stylized weapons for each weapon type while Blood Pact is active. Damage for these weapons is based on the rarity currently equipped.

• Longsword, Falchion, and Crystal Sword become a Demon Sword
• Kris becomes a Demon Dagger
• Quarterstaff and Magic Staff become a Demon Staff
• Bardiche and Halberd become a Demon Polearm.

I'd also want +10 all back. They could just have it be +2 per shard with the current system, that way you still have to clear mobs and not just farm spiders.

It probably shouldn't be able to use utility items. Healing in demon form should probably be limited to abilities or spells.

Obviously it'd need some balancing work. Dunno what the health drain would be. There could also be health drain per-swing like there is per cast. Also, letting demon form have more spells, possibly a different one for each weapon, would be pretty neat.

I feel like it's dead right now because people don't have much reason beyond the leaderboard to play it. You can bring everything into normals again and you make enough money that it doesn't really matter. Not to mention people tend to assume high roller is for the sweaty groups and they just want to play casually

I believe that HR should be competitive, where people come in with full equipment to do pvp, mini boss, and boss,
If you set a specific time 3h a day during the peak of people playing, it would be much easier to be competitive and to dedicate yourself as an event,
all the time, HR loses its meaning, and the ability to be aggressive and competitive.
look at examples of games thats good, likeworld of tank, there's the normal game, semi-competitive and competitive. each with their own time

But then again.lets say half the people can play morning half at night.or 1/4 1/4 1/4 1/4 morning,noon,afternoon,night.Sadly people are distributed based by where they live,how they work.Time limiting the mode only helps those who are playing 24/7 rather than everyone.

Anyone else think that the frozen map was made for a squad of 4 players ? The boss requires 4 players to activate, the rooms are huge large open spaces, the mobs are pretty difficult and and the abyss is super hard in general

idk last season as the brackets were 1-299 and 300 and up i usually didnt get empty lobbys or smth the lobbys were either full or almost full almost every time and i tryed both brackets alot

1 Maybe some notifications are needed about improving equipment, and yellow icons on improved equipment.

2 As an example: my situation with Heater Shield, it has improved, but the equipment I selected uses a lower version, although only the regular one is available in its list. That is, when improving an item, it did not improve the selected equipment.
