Yeah there are unique items, that are super amazing. They are like a legendary weapon with their own perk attached. Fulgor for example is a longsword that when you hit someone casts the wizard lightning strike spell at the ground. And Viola is a rapier that deals added magic damage and inflicts a slow like the frost skeles with each hit. These items are super rare, and cost about 50k if not more on the trading post.

Yeah because gold takes up inventory space, Skull keys are used as the primary store of value in this game, simply because they are rare. People dont really use the skull keys; they do open a door in hell with as boss and good loot, but it is better to just hold one if you get it because its worth like 10k.

nah you aint borke, that is the big boy trade channel, the people with skull keys and uniques are literally the top .1% of the playerbase, they are the people that can go into highroller inferno with spare blues and solo the lich, match after match. That is how they have that stuff, that early into the wipe.

the pve part is hard though, it takes a lot of practice to solo troll of cyclops let alone inferno bosses. I agree the top lvl pvp is harder, but new players are getting wiped out by normal skeles let alone elites or bosses. The NPCs in this game are actually difficulty and rather unforgiving, we just have experience fighting them,

@cedar ledge Occassionally IM screws up and "reward" points roll over. You can potentially pull a unique item from the reward points. I actually have over 100 rolls between my characters that IM just forgot to reset. But for the most part the people and items you see in that trade chat are GOAT

Generally no you can't beat inferno bosses with default gear, I mean you can but it is a waste of time. But you can do it with a few cheap blue items off the marketplace so most people doing money runs like that and soloing cyclops are investing like 200-400 gold

I've never seen any proof, Never seen a comprehensive analysis by a community member, someone on reddit or even any of the streamers claim that luck has presented a noticeable effect. I know IM says it does something and it might compress the loot pool, but if at the end of the day if 200 luck only incrases your purple drops by 5% and legendary drops by .05% it is worthless.

the issue is that goblin caves was designed to be a solo map, so and ice cavers was designed to be a duo map. So their associated bosses where stated with that in mind. So trying to solo ice dragon is going to be a lot harder and less practical than soloing cyclops or troll, Troll is also a uniquely easy boss.

They are balanced like that though. GC has enemies that have less health and rooms with less condensed mobs. Forgotten castle has way higher mob density and mobs with more health and damage, because it is meant for threes.

GC is the solo map
Ice is the duos
and Forgotten castle is the trios

The game just has rotation now, for added variety, which lets you choose which one you want to do. But the maps dont become easier or harder, save for the addition or subtraction of players.

The mobs in castle are way less awful to fight though than the mobs in ice caves. There are very few "fun" mobs to fight in ice caves, they mostly have unfun mechanics/movesets

I actually recommend crypts (forgotten castle) instead of goblin caves for starting out. The skeletons are much easier to kill than goblins and don't do poison damage.

haha, oof. crypts are way harder to navigate, and more enemy density. i had to fight like 4 enemies at once after just spawning in crypts, but in goblin caves you only fight like 1-2 (not including mummy spiders)

@lunar fox You need to be careful what you agro. it's almost always to possible to agro one thing at a time and kill it. As an expereinced play I can tell you goblin caves is a pain in the ass compared to crypts once you are equally familiar with both.

i've never extracted from ice caverns, i've extracted from crypts 1 time, and i've extracted from goblin caves probably 30 times(?).
the only thing in goblin caves that pop out are mummies from the ground, mummy spiders, and bats from the ceiling. other than that you can go at your own pace
but in crypts, there will be 3 skeletons standing together, or an archer above you, or skeletons from an area above that agro and come down to fight you
yeah, if you know they're there, you can take it slow, but if you don't know the map (being a new player), you will accidentally aggro a lot of enemies in some areas of crypts, even after just spawning in

Bro I mean sincerely I've seen it time and time again. As a kid I'd watch my dad "help someone" and they were ungrateful fcks to put it simply. However if he charged them a fair price, he was their knight in shining armor. This was a lesson that hit me hard a few years ago and I finally understood that people almost only care for stuff if they pay for it. If it's free, what's it's value? If they pay for it, it's monetary value is predetermined.

This is easily a $60 game. In 2024 when do you ever get a $60 game for $30 or even for free? The issue with it being free; is the people who access it for free now all think the game has no value bc it's "free."

nah i get this 1000%, and with them stating theyre STILL looking to give us more value is a GODSEND. I've seen people who pay once for games like Conan Exiles, spend 1000-5000 hours in it and then apply that expectation of value on every other game they decide to engage with. I understand that when people pay for something they also make a decision to invest themselves to not be at a loss. But its also fair to mention that the wildly different values for payment between AAA and AA and Indie makes it difficult to manage expectations of value. It was a bit easier up to mid 2000s when you could expect around 30 to 60 hours for $60.
