Fighter is worthless now, don't play it. You have next to no counterplay against most classes. Warlock and Wizard are the devs' favorite classes and they're unlikely to get nerfed. If you want a sword-shield combatant, try cleric. It's like fighter but way stronger. Rangers are pretty solid as well, but you'd have to learn the arrow speeds, which can take time.

the ability to level past 20 and earn tokens is added for when they do add the multiclass system. Rogue is eating good this patch because like 6 of their perks are now innate so that will help a lot with the perk clutter, and with class identity since if classes have innate features then those cant be multiclassed, I think rogue is a test on how players like that
