I am average at this game for sure, and I think getting one tapped by a zweihander if I miss a dodge is terrible. It would be different if there was more to the timing on the hit than dragging the weapon so that dodging against a good player was relevant. Against a good player a lot of the time its just first hit wins or throwable/range spam. I'd like to just see more back and forth to the fighting. Fights in normals are really fun and far from balanced, but its at least more fun with the higher TTK on whites excluding ridiculous white barb builds that are still one tapping in normals.

imo the biggest issue with gears is that damage and resistances dont scale proportionally and instead damage will always outscale defense even if you minmax both

People want gear to matter and people don't. I'm on the latter where I want gear to be marginal and skill to matter more.. the sliding scale is that skill factors in more with higher TTK and lets the less skilled players accel more if you lower it. You need a little of both because otherwise people will leave, but I don't know where a good mid point is. The problem with the way DaD is being set up is time investment = more gold = more op gear = you one shot people. Maybe that last part shouldn't exist and the playing field should be a little more level at that final stage to fix it.

Personally I think normals should be changed to "Gear Score Queue" so matches are balanced, and HR is "hard mode".. boom problem solved.. people can queue in gearscore mode with their couple blues and play against other people who won a common match and its the same queue. no more common only its just a gearscore queue SSF.

@muted crow The TTK is something I'd like to see lowered as well, right now it just feels way too risky to actually fight with heavy gear due to it. Fighting someone without gear is a stomp and fighting someone with gear is a coinflip depending on who swings first.

I just want to see the skill expression shine more and not just for the ranged classes or the speedy ones, lemme actually stomp someone cause I'm better. Not just because I spent 15k on insta-kill gear.

yeah it's currently a stat coin flip when it should be a coin flip on whether or not the person i face is "him" or not. if i die to someone who just did something awesome. even in the case where it's an ability that does a shitload of damage but its risky and hard to land, i wouldnt be mad. but when it's just "oh he left clicked first" that's just... bad.

New weapons/items

Gold gear being removed, legendary and unique items will be way way rarer start of wipe.

Randomized roles on craftables, but they are cheaper.

Quest progression so you can only do so many every week and cant do all of them at once.(also quest items mostly being less rare and some quests being more balanced and easier to do, especially early on quests)

The framework for the multiclassing system(full system will come a few weeks after.)

No druid on wipe, but most likely a few weeks later.

Reworks to many perks, skills, spells, some coming on wipe some coming later I believe.

There is a bit more content but I can't remmeber it off the top of my head. Would reccomend ryan6days a weeks video on the first dev qna, and onepegs video on the second dev qna if you want an even more in dept look, however ryan's video gives most of the info on content.

Man, given what a flop Tribes 3 was(so glad I saw it was just less of tribes ascend) I love how it was a true asset flip and on its best day never had even 2k players(Tribes Ascend reached 7.5k in 2012), meanwhile we have people all over calling this game a soulless money grab with no effort and dumb devs which has put in dozens of less in terms of manpower and money yet actually has a fucking product that those player numbers at its lowest in a game that doesn't have an entire fan base following it who are now PISSED that they tried to sell Ascend for less. Just to be clear, there is no “aimsnapping” cheats in this game. There’s esp, range hacks, and swing speed hacks, that’s it.

Cheats evolve. If they have a zero day exploit, and they can effect in game logic to that degree, aim hacks arent off the table. Think about this "swing speed hacks" is literally affecting in game logic. Aimbot wouldnt necessarily even need to manipulate in game logic, but rather movement detection and then just making sure your mouse goes to it. Thats without affecting game logic. If they can affect game logic, then yeah nothing is off the table. The best games incorporate good game logic to deter cheaters
