Before they could get up to +3 magical healing on items, it maxes at +1 now is what someone said. Curse of pain costs one more hp. People are saying the new spells are all garbage. The ray of darkness, for example, does 3 damage per second for up to 5 seconds, it deals 15 total damage to the enemy if you keep them in the crosshair but 5 damage to yourself, it's better just to hit them with a projectile.

Bolt of darkness is ok. 15 damage but 5 to yourself. Deals less than CoP unless you headshot.

Of course good gear should give you an advantage, that's the entire point of it in the first place. You should win 90% of the time or more vs a low gear player. That's why it would be so simple to just make a grey only lobby in junction with the other lobbies that already exist. The only people that would argue against an entirely SEPERATE lobby with gear restrictions, that does NOT effect the other lobbies or original spirit of the game are the neckbeards who can't win a fight unless they severely out gear their enemy. They can't cope with the idea of a fair playing field via grey only lobby option even existing. Plain and simple.

(i posted this in general already but im gonna post it here too for constructive critizism ) although i believe a lot of the changes they are making are in efforts to try and balance and for the good of the game, and that a lot of the changes made this patch were good, i think they are leaning too heavily into community feed back and the "get it done" mentality, while trying to get results quickly and make sure the game is progressing i think that they put themselves in the situation of far over tuning and listening to the community far too much, while typically a good thing. Leaning to heavily into the "community knows best mentality" you get a minority of people with a loud voice taking over the opinions while the rest sit and suffer, they hear the community and react quickly on what they are saying, but because of that quick reaction they rush to "get results", the rogue with the latest nerfs is a big example, while i do believe the rogue needed fine tuning, I think they realized the statistics were too high and the community complained so much about them that they nerfed it way beyond what they should have done as a "quick fix" it put the rogue in a place where its not viable in most situations while there is still the fighter which is viable in almost every situation, but because they wanted results they nerfed rogue far past what they should have, in the end i believe that while the idea of not being stagnant and listening to the community is good, i think that it needs to be in moderation, and that they are leaning to heavily into these ideas.

Biggest rogue problem right now is that hide with hide mastery perk only stealth a base kit rogue for 27-28s. Then you get a 40s cd. Not to mention all the ways to detect rogues now has totally screwed the class. Bard can play aoe song, rogue becomes unstealth, Mage can cast light orb, rogue becomes unstealth, warlock can cast hydra (which detect/attack hidden rogues thus becoming unstealth), archers has perk to see rogue foot steps in stealth, thus easy to spot. and so on.. Like. Maybe make stealth be 2 min and 15 steps. Thank you!

There is a big part of me that wonders just how much of this update was intentional and how much of it was a mistake to be honest. Yeah I tried playing Bard solo the class is pretty unforgivable. Got over 21 AGI, 24 resourcefulness, and 25 knowledge with buffs. You basically get to choose between playing songs fast or playing songs that last a long time. Playing songs that are actually good isn’t an option and they nerfed his good songs (Aria of Alacrity only gives 8% action speed instead of 15% now, Beats of Alacrity only give 15 movement instead of 25, etc.) I want to enjoy the class but even when you build right the songs just suck…

Actually persuasion (supposedly) affects how long Bard’s songs last according to the stat and is governed by resourcefulness and not Will. I need to test whether Will effects how effective his songs are but it appears that his songs have little to no scaling other than how long they last and how fast you play them, and the songs have been nerfed like crazy :/

Its either the weakest or the 2nd weakest class and got nerfed again, while barbs were left untou hed and wizards/rangers received minimal nerfs (compared to how hard rogue was hit). The problem with this rogue hate is that the very design of an assassin class in this game makes for some disgusting dynamics for the people on the receiving end.

I’m not gonna argue that during Playtest #4, when they added double jump, it was overtuned. That’s what got most people to try it and a lot of them fell in love with the experience. That’s why you see a lot of rogues, no matter the nerfs. Neverthefrickingless, it does not mean that balance-wise Rogues are in a good place right now.

As someone said earlier, your go to playstyle is running away and 3rd 4th partying someone, while hoping to not get oneshot. Oh yeah and you can pickpocket and run away like a rat. Damn now that’s some engaging gameplay.

Coming from someone whos played every class a ton, they absolutely made base Rogue (and even geared), very, very weak now...Sad. Simple fix though, just middle ground the DMG nerf you did on daggers. It was way too severe and 13 damage is a spit in the face for a base weapon.

Exactly. My team handled the pve for the most part while I snuck around in the shadows watching for other players. If a team rolled up I'd pounce on the back row at the best opportunity. I'm pretty sure that's how the class is intended to be played.
