Being a "walking tank" also is not entirely true. Magic damage craps on them. And they have to wear full plate to have as much effective hp as a barbarian by default.
Except that the fighter get's insane movespeed penalties for that luxury.
Only at high levels of gear the effective health can be a downside, which again: makes the warrior easy to kite.
