is there any way to give clerics some kind of range? like i know we have earthquake and locus swarm to help from a distance and im not asking for crossbows or bows. just maybe some throwing knives or something to just help somewhat
for ranks, i think having a solo rank, duo rank, and trio rank should be it, no more character based ranking, this would help with smurfing and also help players who like to play multiple classes

exactly, its why i feel like a class should be what it does, a barb is angry, rah, shouldnt be insanely fast. a rogue is sneaky, shouldnt 3 shot me while using a rubisilver chestpiece as a cleric, bard is a buff god, shouldnt be able to beat any class head on but rogue. i feel like there needs to be a limit to what a class can do or it becomes frustrating

Give people more options and quicker means to sell their crap so they can get right back into the game.
not a bad idea, but it doesnt take much in the first place, if anything, we should have a lock button for what we want to keep and a button to just sell everything thats not favorited
also, i feel like they should add multipliers for attributes to merchants, for example, move speed on anything is always a +, or extra phys power, if its a knowledge or will piece, extra magic damage should give more too
The stats are a hot mess and I have a suggestion on how to change them to be equally meaningful for a variety of builds.
Strength: Affects physical damage. Nothing else.
Vigor: Affects HP and HP recovery.
Agility: Affects move speed and action speed.
Will: Affects magic damage. Nothing else.
Charisma (new): Affects spell recovery and spell/song duration. The idea being that charisma has nothing to do with being pretty or well spoken, and is really about your force of personality. A strong personality can stretch the limits of their inner power more than a weaker personality could.
Knowledge: Affects spell memory capacity and spellcasting speed.
REMOVED: Dexterity, Resourcefulness
Dexterity and Resourcefulness both feel really out of place and have attributes that are better handled by other primary stats or just separated into their own independtant sub-stat entirely. Both affect manual interaction speed, Dexterity gives some Action Speed and Item Equip Speed but the latter only affects putting on armor and is hardly a stat that anyone will care about for a build. If Item Equip Speed was removed as a sub-stat entirely I don't think it would make any difference in anyone's builds. Manual and Magical Interaction Speed are valuable but should not be something you can raise indirectly with stats, rather each class should have its own set interaction speeds - for example, maybe a Wizard has -10% manual and +50% magical interaction speed right out of the box as a base sub-statistic unaffected by primary stats. Or a Barbarian has +10% manual and -30% magical interaction speed. Then you can raise this with equipment that modifies that sub-stat directly instead.
Great idea, and I would like that too. Would be nice if they could eventually implement some sort of "this item is needed for one of your quests" so you don't accidently sell a bangle you need or whatever.
To add to the "get back into the game quickly" mentality, because I feel like far too much time is spent not in game having to manage inventory, buy/sell equipment etc...
Make every piece of junk/common gear readily available from the merchants. We shouldn't be at the mercy of RNG for **common ** gear to be on a merchant to play how we want to play.
I cannot think of a good reason for having random availability of **common **gear from merchants. If anyone can think of good reasons as to why it is the way it is, I would genuinely like to understand. The best argument I can come up with is that it might make players try out new weapons and/or builds? But I think the counter to that is having everything available, that would drive players to experiment more than being "forced" into something.
I'm confident in saying that many people have run into this issue. You buy extras to put in your stash because you don't know when it will be on the vendor again, and now you are allocating a portion of your limited stash space to items that aren't valuable.
Me personally, if I am wanting to do normals and the item(s) I want aren't available at that time. I either swap to a different class, or play a different game. I do not think that this is a helpful mechanic for new players.
I mean this with full sincerity. This is an incredible game. I want the game, and the people at Ironmace to succeed. In order for DaD to grow and improve for many years to come, there must be more attention given to the new player experience.

Well, the game is heavily inspired by Ultima and DnD both games arent so pvp oriented. People say that "Its a pvp/pve game" but in no way was the goal to have battle royale players rushing everyone always. Thats why the changes to AP happened. There are too many pvperverts running around spawn rushing for no reason other than to catch people unawares. Its a bad design. Every game that is heavily focused on pvp like that, dies. and is ridden with cheaters.
This system essentially compels people to engage in PvE. I've had several discussions with someone who shared the same concerns mentioned above, particularly about the potential for rushing. However, I firmly believe that this would not be a problem for the reasons stated earlier. If it really became an issue, a simple solution would be to make the multiplier insignificant until a minimum loot threshold or PvE score is achieved.
Stop attempting to add new maps and classes. Stop attempting to balance the game. Higher mmr games ESPing and aimbot is so damn prevalent. Fix the security of the damn game. Gaming at these levels is getting ridiculous.
Get a damn anticheat for your game. It will die if this is not solved quickly.

I disagree I think they should make PVP give you insane amounts of AP high risk high reward. All the murder hobos would be chilling at high ranks and the PVE players would get dunked on less once the best PVPers are in a different bracket

Make it so leaving the game multiple times, you get a temp queue banned for highroller (can only queue in normals) probably will solve all the naked rogues trying to take gear at high levels.

another random thing i thinks hould be changed it, if you prepare to throw something but dont actually throw it in pre-lobby it will be taken away if you get put into the lobby while in that state, the number of lost torches is very high due to this i bet XD
This game is just another FPS now. Everyone spams ranged weapons and stacks movement speed so they can spend the whole fight running away. It's not fun chasing someone down and getting needled to death by ranged weapons. You should either commit to a fight or run away, you shouldn't be able to do both. My barbarian has 325 base move speed and it's fun murdering every ranger i see, but it's getting tired.
i think an indicator when a teammate has gone down a floor in the dungeon much like the exited icon at character window bottom left would be a nice addition to the UI

So, I definitely think the following changes need to be implemented to prevent abuse:
{Movement Speed}
Maximum movement speed is now capped at 300.
Movement speed modifiers and scaling are adjusted accordingly.
{Shields}
The edges of shields are now "soft spots" that have less impact resistance than the center. This is to incentivize accurate aim with the shields.
{Rogue}
Vigor increased to 10.
Agility reduced to 20.
Double Jump no longer reduces movement speed due to Agility reduction.
Its based on will now. And yeah I also think it should be knowledge. Besides that I also think the invis potion change isnt great. If its too OP on barb then just put a class restriction, not a gear one.

Fighting teamers in solo Q is unfair and inorganic, therefor unhealthy for the playerbase. They must ban teamers because otherwise game will be unhealthy and dumb. I got ran down by two barbs with franciscas, all i did whole game from start to end was run with bare hands at 109% speed, didnt even engage, just ran till i died. That was unfair and ridiculous, unfair gameplay should be removed as it oly makes the game shittier

To be fair though I see nothing wrong with teaming. It's when it goes into a unhealthy direction that it becomes a problem. Monopolizing the entire map for loot is an example. But more often then not I only team so I can finish my quests. After that I go on a killing spree

@soft sierra As much as it is rule breaking. I am going to suggest that we as a community stop welcoming it. And change the psychology of the player base. The only experience that I have for this is playing hardcore survival games that are similar. Which all in the start of their existence had a HEAVY friendly population until the player base stopped being so 100% trusting. (Dayz, Rust, Tarkov. ) Are good examples to see early footage of folks teaming up no matter what 80% of the time.

Hey I'm not sure if this is the right channel for this, but I would really wish to see the quests with dungeon escapes, have any dungeon type, having them so far away in the quest line and then forcing to do normals when they are playing high roller exclusively
Game should implement a system for more AP based on skill/MMR/and Total value of enemy player. AP derived from kit worn, rank, and mmr. PVP kills should be giving WAY MORE AP.
I think this idea is cool, but it’d have the opposite effect you want it to. People will scope who has good gear in the lobby and team with other players even more to hunt them down

Masking means everyone looks white kits and is actually masked. This would solve so many teaming issues too. You are right though, unless players are actually masked in pre lobs this would be a huge issue

Just got killed by a full gold team when the highest person on my team was ranked green 3. The highest on the gold team was blue. Definitely need to do something about gear diff when people self trade to low level accounts. It feels really balanced when somone one shots you and doesnt even loot your body because blues and purples are bad for them.

Ppl do it all the time. You know how many squads of 3 end up as solo or duo because the lose a fight. You might get force into a 1v3 sometimes but maps are so big now it wouldn't be that hard to avoid full teams.

I'm saying it fixes the teamer issue and the fact theres no pvp. While the solos in squad gameplay won't be starting fights they might be finishing them. It also fixes the issue of just seeing one class dominate solo gameplay.
The other side of the coin balancing a game for solo game play and trio is rough.
All your change would do is make all non-rogue, ranger, wizard and warlock solo mains quit the game. People would just rat and third party causing different issues, and removing solo and duos would just piss off half of the community.
If solos were going into trio matches... wouldn't they necessarily get teamed on and make the issue much much worse for solo players???
Separate balance changes for solos and duos would fix this problem entirely

What special is the low ammount of ap given for pvp kills in this game. Jesus I think opening a red portal still gives you more ap.
Doing anything gives you more ap, they literally just need to make ap higher for getting killers and add a cap to how much ap you get from looting and killing mobs.
I think they worried about teamers trading kills for ap idk. Seems like they could at least add a killing a spree feature to where ap starts to ramp up the more kills you get while also making yourself worth more ap if killed.

That's an entirely seperate issue of outside teaming, that's an actual bannable offense already.
Sad part is this is always going to be an issue due to how there servers work. I think if you're NA you should be locked to NA servers. Same goes for other regions. IF not what happens is teamers will pick the dead hours based off region and it makes it to easy for them all to get into the same lobby

Idk I think you would have to submit a video to get them banned and most players are to lazy to do that. Plus teamers are playing on dead servers based on region time and can probably go through several game without killing a legit palyer

Legendary / unique cloaks should roll their highest inherent stat (3 str/dex/vig/agi and 5 kno/res/will). Feels really bad to find a legendary cloak which has 1 str on it
I think they need to make AP build up over time on players. This would prevent some spawn rushing which I know used to be an issue.

Adds actual skill to using the "skill", while removing certain aspects of the ability that are too abusable (i.e. throwables being used for it).
divide the cleric class into well cleric and paladin. Keep clerics from using plate armor and combat spells while giving them stronger healing/buffing spells. Paladins would be able to use plate armor while only having access to basic healing/buffing spells and combat spells with less base memory capacity
More character slots - 2x more just to test things around would be nice

Would be cool to have characters look more muscled scaling with their strength and vigor, the barbs have high stats in both but kinda soft looking, maybe a bump map or whatever it's called that shows more muscle definition as the stats get higher, kenshi has something like that.
So I just got the idea that Sprint needed to be balanced. One of two, actually.
{Sprint Nerf Ver. A}
Upon activation, your movement speed is increased by a flat +50 for 6 seconds. Afterward, become exhausted and receive a -15% Physical Power penalty for 5 seconds.
{Sprint Nerf Ver. B}
Upon activation, your movement speed is increased by a flat +50 for 6 seconds. During this time, your action speed when attacking is reduced by -20%.
{Reason}
Sprint is currently the only speed-based Skill in the game without a drawback for its incredible power. Rage reduces a Barbarian's physical defense, Shadow Runner requires the use of a perk and skill slot combined, and Phantomize completely removes Warlock's ability to attack at all and they receive 50% more damage from magic.
In that vein, Fighter needs something that should balance them out, and one of two things can happen without breaking the ability: either it reduces the physical power bonus of Fighter or it reduces the attack speed of the Fighter, either of which covers whichever scenario is more unbalanced (fleeing or using it in combat).
The nerfs are unique, too, so that we don't have a repeat of another ability that increases move speed having a similar penalty.

I disagree in the extreme. This sort of lessening of the advantages of a class is the enemy of making interesting classes.
It shouldn't be seen as a flaw in the class that they have a good sprint feature with a no downside other than the ability slot. And it isn't. It's also important to them when wearing plate.
I hate to support Vulgun in any form but I don't think it's good class design to have an ability that's so good that you're basically throwing if you don't slot it.
Sprint isn't that good. The alternatives are not competitive.
Imagine if victory strike did as much damage as boc, roughly. It would instantly be considered. And they wouldn't compromise second wind first, it would be sprint. That's extreme and not balanced, but the reality is that fighter only has two competitive abilities and that's the real balance issue with the class. Fighters themselves are not overpowered or broken in any real way.
Second wind would absolutely be tossed before sprint if victory strike dealt more damage because it can be used to heal yourself when killing mobs too. If there's a cleric on your team you don't really even need second wind at all.
Victory strike would be for damage, not healing in this context. The healing of victory strike would have little impact in pvp compared to second wind, which is an enormous and very good heal.
I would possibly agree it would be a choice if you had access to a cleric, but in fairness I am a duo and solo player and neither of us are clerics, so again, that's good. There's multiple builds.
If victory strike dealth significantly more damage you'd kill your enemy faster making it less likely that second wind is going to save you in that fight. And without sprint you're never catching a ranger if they decide to dip lol
It would still not be something I would choose in solo. Sprint is rarely useful as an escape tool because people are just generally faster than you anyway, which makes it a positioning tool. Would I rather have 40% more hp and more tankiness and then run in with victory strike on, or would I rather only have the strike? It's not a difficult math choice in solo.
You don't catch rangers. That's not something fighters do. You either shoot them with a crossbow or they get away. At least in a complete vacuum solo context of a fighter vs a ranger.
Anyway this is all very hypothetical, and not the original point. Sprint and Second Wind being good are not problems at all unless you think fighter itself as a whole is overpowered, and it isn't.
The way I see it, if they have no variety, that is not a sign that they are too strong. That's a sign the other abilities are too weak, because again, they're not actually that powerful when you measure what the class is capable of with these insta-choose abilities. I think barbs for instance are actually in a bit of a better place at the moment.

I need some opinions on this idea for a ranger rework.
What if they had a skill called trappers tools that worked similarly to spell memory where they can memorise 3 different traps and have a pool of resources they can use to make them in raid.
The materials can be based off the resourcefulness stat and the various types of traps could be a tripwire to slow people down, a bell that makes a loud noise when tripped or a crossbow that shoots when triggered.
These could take a very long time to set up and have varying costs depending on how impactful they are and maybe some need specific materials like a crossbow for the crossbow trap
caves needs to be removed until the performance and portal issue is solved, nobody wants to play caves with all the micro-stutters getting you killed and having portals spawn above/below you with no quick way to get to them. every game on caves i lose half my health to a mob because the game decides to stutter when fighting them and they get 2 free hits on me while its frozen

Barbarian either counters everyone or no one. Barbarians are able to shutdown any class with speed alone. Nerfing the speed and making barbarian be resistant to both projectiles and magic would make this class be appealing to use and be still viable after the nerf I reffered to. While also fighting against the range meta we might have in the future.

Just one suggestion ... what if items that we loot from monsters/crates/chests (or crafted items) would have our item on it? It would be interesting to kill somebody to find out that he is using my old dagger from several games back, or taking trophies from players just to fill up stash with them (no offence, but I think some people would like to keep items from some famous streamer just for display, etc)? It could be only for items that we equip, they could have two tags ... like owner + previous owner, where owner would be last person who equiped this, previous would be one more back.
I think it would be interesting when we are sometimes running into same players. It would make pvp more interesting i think

I remember when they rolled back Hotfix #15 in under 12 hours because Mendo and Lordcollector and others DM'ed and petitioned the devs and called it BoRiNg to have less impactful gear. (before there was a white gear cap in norms).
First clip here is a feels bad moment because the barbarian just fought a ranger and was still able to tank 3 spells including a full magic missle. The very next clip I just killed a fighter but now am engaged by a warlock. I die in 1 hit and also my MM doesn’t go off because serverlag(I did not move do not say that I moved)this moment feels bad because im the one getting third partied and I die to one hit. In the same scenario wizard dies in 1 hit barb gets to tank 3 and still win the fight. Goblin caves is just a terrible map if you are a wizard. In this clip I have to skip the module because im out of zone. I have to skip the second because im already late compared to other players who have already cleared half their first module. So I skip to the third. And wow third module is a spider room that is the worst room they have added to the game yet. So of course I have to skip that module. Then I walk into a barbarian which is super fair. The last clip is just lightorb not working as intended but you still should run it because it works sometimes

get on barb for one game when its gobby caves and instantly kill 3 people with a white zweihander and 2 pieces of vendor gear along with frannies from the woodcutter
To counteract all of the teaming for AP farming but not making a PvP kill worth so much that lobbies go from teaming and flip to spawn rushing and extract camping. Make kills have a multiplier of say 0.1x. So a kill would earn you an extra 10% at the end for any AP you earn. Only earn 100 AP and only get 1 kill then you only get an extra 10 AP, but if you get 5 kills and make 1000 AP then you get an extra 500 AP. You would still have to prioritize getting loot but kills would make that loot worth more or at the very least make sub par loot not the end of the world.
Downsides would be if the whole team does not get the multiplier then there could be arguments in teams about getting the last hit, or support roles having to get some damage in in a similar way there was an issue with boss kills. Also there would be some people that would go back to spawn rushing and extract camping but likely not as many as would if kills were worth a flat but high AP value.
Treasure would still be important, but kills would actually matter.
When you get alchemist leveled up to buy green health pots, the single pots are 25g ea but a stack is 123g for 3 of them.....Nice math

rogue needs parry mechanics on dagger secondary, dual dagger build options that feel good to use, access to survival bow and buckler for better engagement options, and hide and stealth need to be combined into 1. needs some balancing but these changes would be much appreciated.
The solo meta for this game is actually terrible and boring. If you run into a kitted barb then you're just going to die unless he misses 3 or 4 swings and even then if he's running berserker, which should be a core perk for every barb, he can instantly turn into a glass cannon after taking 1 or 2 hits and destroy you.

My version of the Barbarian you see above addresses the core issues with the character (namely being too strong while also having incredibly useful skills to further exacerbate their power), as well as reworking some of the Perks and Skills to be more unique and interesting to each other (notably seen by the changes in Carnage, Executioner and Rage).
This version has a more diverse set of Perks and more interesting utility in their Skills (such as Achilles Strike having its rework as it is), and aims to make Barbarian a figure that has enough tools to make it by while not being an overwhelming menace to the game. The particular tools that were a menace and an overwhelming part of Barbarian's metagame (Rage and Achilles Strike) have been toned down while introducing better concepts for them and already-existing Skills (such as War Sacrifice now giving Rage's speed boost).
Some ideas will be controversial, including the perk "Predator", but I feel like I've made sure all of these ideas are balanced out in meaningful ways (such as Predator removing the ability to throw Francisca Axes, Explosive Bottles, Lanterns and Oil Lanterns at the expense of the ability to use a Bow; a trade-off, in a way).

people in my pathfinder lobbies do not take real gear into solo servers because of the rampant teaming issue. considering the majority of Solo players perceive it as an issue, it should be viewed as an issue. base-gear fighters going into lobbies with a 'lfg' mentality are progressing beyond pathfinder. is this the intention? why am i, as a solo player, going to bother building a nice kit if I encounter teams of 2-3 in almost every solo server? I'm not only not taking gear into solo lobbies because of teaming, I'm uninstalling this until something's been done about it. fucking tell your friends, im out.

Introduce wizard wands into the game that have unique effects based off the magic type they are. Example arcane wand that could apply different status or effect on arcane spells. Fire wand that applies effects to your fire spells. This could be such a good way to add versitility to the class! 🙂

Would love to see goblin caves reworked to have hell portals, to many times have I died due to not having blue/red. Please add red portals to goblin caves. I wait a full 30 minute cycle/disband my team to avoid that map.
Dude just learn the map, it's much easier than crypts or ruins. Die on it a bunch, it's the only way to get better

I manage to escape almost every time so it's definitely some kind of skill issue lol, that map is legit just much easier than the other two. Sounds like you know how to play on ruins but not GC so it does sound like map knowledge is the only issue.
The maps don't make you lose your kits bro, the only common denominator is you. Other people manage just fine. We can team if you want some tips or something.

The desync is out of control rn. About 50-70 frames of hit reg lag on their and your end player to player. If their screen shows a clean hit, you're hit.
It's entirely possible to be hit through your shield rn.

However, this functionality is lacking in the bag. Users should be able to drag an item onto another item in the bag, facilitating a position swap. Additionally, the ability to swap items from the belt to bag by dragging them and initiating a position exchange should be enabled.

i will die on this hill spiders are the most ANNOYING things in this game, theyre buggy, shitty hitboxes, unrewarding, for some reason the nightmare versions exist, and theyre noteven super challenging , just a MASSIVE hassle to deal with, IMO, i think the spider spawn cap should be reduced to 2, and make them lootable so we can get our arrows back if were playing ranger. chellenges are fun, and they come with a reward, but from nightmare spider spawners? eh you get a white sellable

make the damage bonus 5% (nerfed damage to allow space for buffs, and totally ok just removing the damage all together really)
remove the movement penalties from daggers (does not effect attacking animations that slow movement)
improve attack speed or movement
methods for last buff
-when killing an enemy gain 5% movement (15% on players) for 8 seconds
-when dealing damage gain 1% movement stacking up to 5 times for 2 seconds
-when attacking gain 2% attack speed stacking 5 times for 2.5 seconds (can be built up outside of combat)
-when killing an enemy gain 10% attack speed for 10 seconds

Hello devs and idea harvesters, my idea is to add an auction system to the in-game sales chat. Players looking to sell an item can choose to do so via an auction. When a player opts for this method, an auction event is created in the chat, allowing other players to join and bid on the item. To keep things orderly, the number of participants in each auction can be limited. To prevent the sales chat from being overwhelmed by auction announcements, a big tax could be imposed on auction sales.

in what way do rogues have any form of better movement then other classes? every class catches up to me and easily hits me when i have no weapon out and no gear on running naked as a rogue with just boots on i find in the maps i play or buy from the store.

Basically mining, except it requires a Skinning Knife, and your resource nodes are the animal creatures of the levels.
e.g.
Wolves, Giant Spiders, Cockatrice, Giant Centipede, Giant Worm, Death Beetle, Demon Bat, Demon Dog, Giant Bat, Giant Dragonfly, Mimic(?)
Skinning takes some time and gives a creature-based resource (e.g. Wolf would give Claw/Tooth/Hide). The creature being Normal/Elite/Nightmare impacts the amount or rarity of the resource.
But then remove those resources being dropped normally
Resurrection is generally a bit cumbersome between getting the soul, finding and clearing a res table, ressing and getting gear back all before the circle closes in.
If the table summoned their body that'd be nice. Then they'd just have anything that had not already been looted.
It's also be neat if escaping with someone's soul meant they were treated as escaping (no AP loss)
My reasoning is that resurrection takes a long while. And my version has them not carrying the body, just the soul. But resurrecting summons the body (e.g. they get their body and loot back when coming back to life)
In the time inbetween picking up the soul and actually ressing, anyone can come along and simply loot the dead person's body. I think it'd be easier to implement as a mechanic, while still making resurrection a better option
I wish they'd add more keys to the game that would unlock more rooms..not as rare as golden key/hoard but more common keys from mobs that would open some new locked doors in the map or something..with like royal or golden chests maybe marvelous

it would be nice for wizard to get buffed. we wizards are underpowered, wizards should be more powerful and strong and viable. fireball needs a 5th charge.
I expect to pay for a game and be abble to play it. Its not my fault they put the game @chaf games, it was their choice. If their choice doesnt work, why should I as a client be the one who takes the blame? I just expect to play the game that costed me 35 dollars early access.
Fireball is extremely easy and high power at the moment. I think his other spells are what needs buffing but only by a little bit because wizard is probably the class that has the highest potential to wipe a squad by himself but it takes skill to do that. It’s not anyone can play him and do that but right now anyone can play him and be a benefit to the team. Trios is almost a have to have a wizard because of the huge damage that they can deal along with the many utilities that they have.

That’s not a very good idea because that would make blocking super easy and fast. You have to have some backlash when it comes to actions which it does right now of knowing when to swing and when not to. This would completely change the game of faking hits which is dumb and not realistic at all because once you start swinging you shouldn’t be able to stop.
faking attacks is totally realistic.. but if you want realism - your friend finishes the monster and your still in your backswing, you wouldnt just continue and smack the wall instead, you would not swing

I can see canceling it but it would have to have a downfall to it. You can’t just be in mid swing and stop to block. Not to mention you could then just swing half way get the hit and cancel it to swing again even faster.
sure add an action cooldown penalty. cant act until it would have finished whatever. but its one of the first gotchas a new player experiences - click, start backswing, mob dies, smack friend accidentally. 'oh that game was clunky'

I don't feel like feinting would be at home in this game at all. As someone else said just look down at the end of your swing so you don't hit your friend.

I would say so yeah, it doesn't feel 'clunky' to not be able to cancel attacks. It's just a skill diff where you have to learn to deal with it.
ive shown the game to skilled players of first person shooter/melee.. they arent saying 'oh aim my swing! how difficult!' :p they say 'oh there's no button for it like the bow? clunky, unfinished etc.'
Good for them, but Dark and Darker kind of created a genre on it's own, it has no current competitors yet. Not really fair to judge it off of other games.
it sure is a ground breaking game.. certainly not finished though. At some point a dev made the bow cancellable although its easy to just shoot the floor. Its a shame perhaps shooting the floor could have been another source of pride and skill :p
It's a balance decision to make attacks non-cancellable. There are games like Mordhau and Chivalry that exist with feinting in mind. It's not like the dev didn't think of feinting as it's a pretty obvious mechanic when it comes to games like this.
I don't think feinting would serve much purpose in combat and the game is better off without it. Melee combat is overtly simple in this game and I think that's the way the devs want it.
maybe you have more insight into the devs vision. what I see is, features like riposte take time, they are coming though.
I doubt it, longsword exists with riposte. It's not like it's hard to give different weapons a block riposte. They just chose not to.
not hard, but takes time. Animations indicating you cant act due to having cancelled your swing (same time it would have taken to swing, just without hitbox, just an example of such a feature) For every weapon! Thats a lot of animating
Devs have changed the Kris dagger's entire animation set like 10 times by now. Surely if it were an issue of being too much work they would have worked on some weapons by now. It's just not something they want.

Yep you do need to be very precise with when you decide to swing. I suppose its when you see a skilled streamer accidentally swing when they didn't decide to. an 'over-combo'. makes it looks less of skill issue and more.. something that could be changed.

Doesn't matter who does it, if you swing when you shouldn't have then you misplayed. You clicked the button at a time you shouldnt have or you were lagging. If its lag sure it needs to be fixed but not by animation cancelling. If you can animation cancel then you can't be punished for getting baited into a bad swing by another players movement.
indeed, your punishment is that you can't start another action while swinging. (another potential punishment is getting parried - but thats already cancellable aiming away).
My suggestion is an addition to the usual swing cancelling concept - that the canceller be punished the same way. By not being able to perform another action for a punishingly long time, just no hitbox.
if you suffered every penalty you currently do by cancelling then theres no point to cancel anymore. But implementing that is a pain and nonsensical. It'd let you cancel out of hitting into block or parry which has larger recovery and possible extra damage for your opponent. If it still saves your teammate from being hit when you accidently swing at them, then I don't agree that that risk should be taken out. Just be careful swinging larger weapons.
I suggest a wizard buff. Wizard is my favorite class, and has been nerfed to poo poo levels. We need wizard buffs, more fireball charges and stronger zaps. Thank you.

they start off with more movement than any other class, and you can build more movement on top of that, you also have smoke cloud which can slow enemies enhancing the gap or shadow runner closing the gap. my only issue currently is that classes like barb ARE far too fast and have too much damage on them and health, i think rogue is in a spot where minimal changes are needed but to landmine, and other classes around it must be changed.

while bossing, people have stopped really taking cleanse, now i have a better idea, why not make cleanse more versatile? we can reduce its charges to 3, and now, allow for more power. warlord cones? cleanseable. ghost king pools? cleanseable. buffball? cleanseable, it would be strong, but to go with it its charges could be reduced significantly

I think it will look silly if you are mid way a swing you clearly put your force behind and suddenly it stops mid air. And I dont think it fits at all, just need to be careful to not hit your teammates if you wanna look cool. As to looking away for parrying being the same as an instant cancel, I don't agree thats the same since you may still strike terrain or a teammate or something else when looking away.

What if there was an AP multiplier when you extract, that increases depending on:
how many people, out of how many ever joined the lobby, are left alive. Sort of a Battle Royale. The last person standing gets the biggest multiplier. Also if the lobby was empty from the beginning, it's just a standard multiplier

What is the point of Void Blade's 1 magic damage if it's not magical weapon damage? Literal only use case is BoC or a friendly wizard igniting your weapon, and only adds 1 damage, how is that supposed to compare to ANY of the Divine Weapons that have 15% undead dmg boost, or the spear of rot's 1 true phys dmg, or Centaur's Madness having armor pen? Worst named craftable by FAR - at least Demon's Glee is useful for poison rogue builds. Like is this some kind of joke?

Change spiders I think it's funny a small pot can somehow manage to fit infinite amount of spiders in it and having them come out of a pot makes no sense instead have the pot sit straight up and just be a bashable vase and the spiders instead of coming out of a pot. They should hang from the ceiling when you get close to them. They fall down there's no infinite spawning them anymore no coming out of pots have them be in a web on the ceiling or in a corner on the ceiling have 1 or 2 maybe even 3 bunched up everyone is tired of them I don't think anyone wants them the way you designed them anymore how many times have you seen a spider come out of a pot in real life compared to on the ceiling point made
theyre adding a paladin class. cleric is functioning more like a priest, and should be. i expect them to remove most plate options for cleric when paladin is released, and have cleric function as a full on healing class. theyre supposed to be a tank/support class as well, so parrying, riposting and using swords is a big no no.

Honestly, I feel the best change for this game right now would be to remove gear leveling. You know, how the stats of gear level up per rarity.

I'm gonna be real, there should be no reason Ranger should have so much speed to them. If the point of the class is to "be at range", then they need to be punished once someone manages to approach, not have an escape option ready for them.
To this end, Ranger's Agility should be reduced to 8 and Dexterity increased to 30. Just to see how that fares with balance.
It’s a cleric not a paladin. Paladin will be added later on bud. Honestly the cleric is too much like the paladin at the moment.
Clerics can wear rubysilver cuirass and also golden 9one.
Don’t expect that when paladin comes out.

hello. I came back after the most recent patches and realised something on a couple of matches. Chaotic Discord (for bard) doesn't count for kills for both PVE and PVP. What I mean is, if an NPC kill each while on your 'control' it never counts as a kill. You dont get that sweet AP. It should! I know it is a minor problem, espercially in PVP kills! But in PVE it does make a difference in AP. I tested using Piercing Shrill and Chaotic with the same gear. Also, let me tell you: Discord is fantastic in the right situation. I just destroyed a aggressive melee warlock (he had a purple Zwei and I was green geared. No usage of Charismatic performance of ranged weapons/throwables). What I did was, evade and aggro wolfs. Then discorded them on a safe wall. As the warlock came they slowed him and targeted him, hitting 2 or three times. He tried to swing at me but I was faster and the mobs finished him off. Note: chaotic, as it is chaotic aggro, can fail to target players for sure. But it still can slow them down with a mob-wall betwen them and you. Which is cool, specially when you deaggro and run away. Forcing them to atk the player. Bye bye waterfly

I have an idea to add more armor without inflating the whole loot pool pretty much make armor dungeon specific for example making templar armor a ruins specific armor since ruins is a destroyed castle makes sense then that would give lee way for more armor like the ice caves could have armor sets that have fur and leather and just look warm goblin caves could have armor maybe made of bones and random scraps of metal smth like that I think this would make ppl want to go into a specific dungeon more so that can try and get a more specific armor piece they want rather than just hoping to get it anywhere just and idea me and my friend had that would be cool would like to hear feedback thx

Change spiders I think it's funny a small pot can somehow manage to fit infinite amount of spiders in it and having them come out of a pot makes no sense instead have the pot sit straight up and just be a bashable vase and the spiders instead of coming out of a pot. Make Meditation a skill that auto activates when you sit down. Allow players to look around when meditating, and tone down the sound that plays. Make spells restore faster.
Barbarian does not need Iron Will, remove or nerf heavily. Slow barbarian down significantly.

Wizard is currently the least effective and most difficult class to play. Their lack of self-sufficiency, damage and support capabilities, and heavy reliance on gear and a select set of spells, leaves them lagging behind other casters, and their low health makes them too squishy. The following changes address Wizard in a meaningful way:
{New Spell Casting System - Magic Meter}
In order to differentiate the Wizard from other spellcasting classes, they are no longer bound to charges on their spells. Instead, they now have a Magic Meter that is bound to all spells.
The Magic Meter has a base of 80 charges with several methods to restore the meter:
-The meter automatically restores itself over time, but at a very slow rate of 1 charge every 10 seconds.
-The meter restores itself by 3 charges every tick when resting normally.
-The meter restores itself by 9 charges every tick when resting by a campfire.
-The meter restores itself by 14 charges every tick when using Meditate.
-The meter restores itself by 1 charge every 3 physical damage dealt to an enemy.
-The meter can be restored with Potions of Clarity.The Magic Meter increases in charges based on the Will of the Wizard.
{Spells - Costs}
Instead of having a set amount of casts, all spells now have magic costs to them:
Zap: 8 MP
Light Orb: 2 MP
Slow: 6 MP
Ice Bolt: 8 MP
Ignite: 5 MP

{Spells}
Reflect: Cast a barrier in front of yourself that reflects projectiles back at their owner. Costs 8 MP.
Scintilla: Cast a barrier of light in front of yourself that absorbs one physical attack, then exploding and dealing magic damage relative to half that physical attack's damage. Costs 15 MP.
Gravity Field: Cast a field of gravity that forces opponents down, rendering them unable to jump. Costs 10 MP.
Fire Bolt: Shoots a small fireball projectile that goes twice as fast and deals less damage than Fireball. Costs 6 MP.
Fear: Casts fear upon the target, reducing their physical damage output by 15% for 3 seconds. Costs 8 MP.
Eruption: Casts a fiery fissure in front of you in a cone shape, dealing 3 fire damage every step the opponent takes. Lasts 10 seconds and costs 13 MP.
Shatter: Casts a fireball that immediately erupts into 15 smaller fragments of molten fire, each dealing light damage alone, but dealing significant damage altogether. Costs 8 MP.

The reason I'm giving them more vigor is to allow them to have more survivability and capability to use their spells in battle.
The reason I'm giving them the Rapier and Falchion is because they use the Rapier in 5e, and the Falchion in this game is similar to the Scimitar in 5e, which they also use. These weapons seem very versatile and decent enough to use for Wizard, and given their low STR stat, they won't be too powerful.
You cannot deny, though, that all of what I listed would be pretty nice for Wizard to have.
But with all you ave Say you dont see the probleme ? You want they Can use Rapier + Falchion+All dague+more dmg on magical Sword+ that no more Wizard , that just Anime Mc , imagine Rogue or fighter or aller class vs Wizard ? That just no match for Real 😂😂😂
My idea for Wizard isn't "anime MC", it's to design a class that can actually function. Wizard in their current state feels incomplete and lacking in many aspects.
The addition of the perks, magic meter and new spells gives Wizard more variety and ability to be support while having their own self-sufficiency.
It's why most of the new perks add support to Wizard in small, but meaningful ways, and the spells are mostly support-based (as Wizard will eventually be). The addition of the weapons is to also give them new tools to better combat PvE and have something to use with Ignite other than two of the worst weapons in the game.
So, got back into the game after some long rest and, wow. It is better. Especially since my and suggestions I've supported were implemented in one way or the other. There is still one huge problem, two actually, with Barbarians and Wizards.
Barbs are just straight out best class in the game, has all of the "holy trinity" of RPGs that is damage, speed and tankiness. It still is the best ranged option in the game as well, because usually, if you are able to close distance to a ranged player he dies. With barb though... You do NOT want to close distance with THAT lol! Anywho, IMace, please, stop jumping around this problem and nerf the barbarians already! Limit his survivability or at least make those throwing axes a SKILL and not an item!
Wizards. Oh, boy... Everyone else playing fast paced FPS extraction sim. You are playing turn-based tactics game. That is you spend a half or more of your time in dungeon doing... Nothing. You just sit on the ground waiting for a crossbow bolt in your forehead. And no, meditation is stupid, you NEED 10 slots to play wizard, especially solo. And I believe I have a solution. There is two options, really:
1 - bring back clarity potions, stop being stupid, IMace, you have much bigger problems than that green liquid of unknown origin.
2 - give them "lucid dreaming perk" with the following effect: when you cast a spell, you regen X spell points for OTHER SPELLS in the SAME MEMORY SLOT the spell cast is in. This will provide wizard with more sustain to run the dungeons and people will start casting spells more smart too. Why it should be a perk you say and not some skill to buff you for a set amount of time? Because, as I've said, the wizards do really NEED all 10 slots to cast. And if you go in trio or duo, where wizards are not as bad as solo, you can always swap that perk for something else, depending on the team composition.
I am done. Will go back playing and waiting for IMace to implement my another suggestion. Have a nice one, folks.

Honestly guys if you think wizard is bad, you just suck. Wizard is incredibly underrated. You need to start focusing on building your characters attributes correctly, this will lead to your success. Want high damage? Build it. You’ll sacrifice for health, or for speed though. I hate seeing new players come in and try to make these classes “pick up and play”. There should be a skill level to it, like there is. So just keep playing the class, I’ve seen many points where a wizard is geared out and can kill someone in a few hits…

- It's not unlimited. You still need to work to make use of them.
- The damage has a drawback, a huge one at that.
- You would be surprised how little a Falchion would do on a character with 6 Strength.
- Higher base health wouldn't hurt anyone. 12 Vigor and 6 STR would be slightly less than Ranger, still, if my math's right.
- Yes, and I'm not buffing them back, I'm giving a compromise for them. Additional magic damage at the cost of significant additional magic cost is something I feel would be fair. None of the changes I've listed have added back any of the previously removed damage at base.
Honestly, if you think that wizard is easy to be built, then you should just stop typing. You are talking like it doesn't require you any gold or time to do so, all the while every encounter with DEFAULT barbarian or ranger will result in even geared wizard to die in 2 seconds. And even IF you are able to defeat them, now you are out of slots, HP and probably surrounded by dozen of mobs because you had to run like hell through the map from all the axes and naked magic resistant rage barbarians have. And then, the most "fun" experience of solo wizard begin. You must SIT your ass on the ground and stay for a while, because all of your juice just gone out of the window (right with your sanity) and pray for Lord, that there is no fighter with stroked to full length crossbow to find you. And there are rogues, of course, there are those living landmines everywhere.
BTW, if YOU think, that wizard is so strong, that you "just build him" and he is so "underrated", then, PLEASE, show me RAW DATA. Show me how many there are high ranked wizards per head count and compare it to all other classes. Then you will realize how stupid you are. And, hopefully, will shut your trap about things you don't understand.
As fast as a plate fighter, as beefy as a rogue, less range than a ranger, and CANNOT fight counters because his spells are gone. Wizard in solo play is about as fun as tap dancing on hot coals right now.

Massively increase the swing penalty and add a massive move penalty for a blocked hit. A barb shouldn't be able to have a giant sword riposted and hop back before it can connect.

Yeah I'd pass on the Wizard getting the Rapier and Falchion, some of the dperls need tweaking but I like that idea. As it is Wizard doesn't feel good to play. A lot of sitting down and just waiting for someone to stumble on you.
Some things I'll at least clarify; I did end up going back to a few of these things and thought how I'd rebalance them. I also kind of evolved this concept into something much more interesting over time, so this thing is kind of dated.

As far as rebalance goes, however:
{Scintilla}
Cast a wall of light in front of your position. If an opponent hits this wall with a physical attack, the wall explodes and deals damage proportionate to half the attack's physical damage as magic.
Scintilla has a duration of 1.25 seconds when activated.
Scintilla is a Tier 6 spell.
{Shatter}
Casts a fireball that instantly erupts into 15 smaller fragments of molten fire, each of which deal 3 magical damage per fragment and decays to 1 magical damage over time.
Shatter has a spread of 55 degrees, causing it to spread out quickly.
Shatter has a velocity of 8m/s that decays to 4m/s after 1 second.
Shatter is a Tier 5 spell.
In my newer version of the Wizard rework concept, I kind of just ditched the mana bar and went with just making charges restorable through means other than resting, so these changes to my concepts reflect that.

sitting is the speed of meditation and actual meditation fully recharges all spells

To be fair, this game is balanced around team fights, so this game will never be balanced for 1v1s. Some classes will, and should, have the advantage in 1v1s. Barb is a problem, but mostly because you can’t even run from them. They should be one of the strongest classes in a 1v1 scenario, the problem is it’s impossible to escape them or reposition against them. Removing their ability to go invis was definitely a good step

Feels really bad qing a naked normal and getting out with a full set of greens only to be forced to vendor my whole set just to be able to queue another normal. Normals are a good introduction to push us into HR after a game and getting a green kit but sometimes I want to learn a new class with my friends and not be forced into ranked just to use my green gear. Am I out of touch?

Achilles Strike for Barbarians should operate the same as Blow of Corruption for Warlocks as in it is timed. With a Warlock you can go in and then back up until they use BoC and then wait it out for a good time to push. With Barbarians they can pop Achilles Strike and have a constant advantage if you go in to fight unless they have to hit a mob or miss and hit a wall.
tbh ironmace has a serious lack of a good QA testing in general. I'm concerned that they're so focused on releasing a content patch when the game has these very core glaring issues. They always seem to make these massive sweeping balance changes too, rather than actually reasonable smaller changes and then reacting based on feedback, and each time they do, the meta completely shifts to accommodate it unpredictably. They just gimp classes repeatedly (except for ranger, or fighter, which are their obvious favourites)
I'm guessing they're going to stomp barbarian into the ground eventually, but the fact they think that franciscas are the problem for barbs in their video is telling. Franciscas are an extremely minor part of why they are so strong right now.
On the contrary, barbs should be balanced, and allowed to use more franciscas rather than having to fill their inventory with the things. They should be retrievable, and always should have been.
Give Bard songs exclusive categories.
e.g. Make it so certain buffs or debuffs can't be active at the same time.
Then, buff those songs to account for the fact that they can't all be active.
End result: Bard plays less, but actually has to choose which songs fit a situation, and those songs are more impactful

The biggest problem they have is that there is no counter to them. Their natural opponents should be rangers and casters. But they have one of the best perks to counter magic and they're able to match the speed of both of their counters, which means they can easily catch them. They shouldn't have that perk and they shouldn't be that fast, but they definitely should have easier access to franciscas in an effort to be able to skirmish better at middling ranges.

Rogues have no damage to "landmine". "Landmine" implied instant death, and you could do it to squishies.
Now, many classes can still "landmine", but not a rogue, it's a playstyle which is not class specific, but requires some tools which this zerodps class lacks

What Rogue needs right now is pretty simple.
-Make Ambush and Shadow Runner require 3 seconds of Hide to activate.
-Make Ambush 15% additional physical power.
-Make "Hidden" Rogues become more visible the closer another player is to them in the light.
-Make Hide have an incredible downside to using improperly.
-Make Hide unusable if you have any light source on you, Potions included on the belt.
After that, then you can talk about buffs to Rogue.

They made it so potions don't work with ambush or shadowrunner and shadowrunner stops working the moment you attack. They nerfed alot of rogues mobility and utility already.

Yes, but Ambush still happens to be a product of poor balancing decisions regardless. 50% damage is a lot, especially considering that most classes do not have insanely high PDR.

I actually want more people to have access to the parkour sections of the map, not more restrictions.
I also want there to be named legendary boots you either can craft or find in the dungeons. Cloud shoes with double jump, that sounds fun. People are focused too much on small balance changes when the game isnt even fleshed out fully

On that first point, I think those should be removed simply due to there being invisible walls that actually have collision. As in, "you can't shoot through them" collision that makes it impossible to hit someone who is clearly visible.
Also, the devs removed the upper layer (mostly) for a reason.

I can agree here, rogues gear dependency is a lot higher now. I was running with a three man team of rogues all geared out, we died to a trio of base kit lizard rogues pre rogue and lizard nerf. I killed two before they finally got me

Floor population suggession why not award players wit ha currency token for extracting on floor 2/3. When you do the server smashes repopulating on each floor launch give parties a was to start on a floor 2/3 wave say 5 tokens. You keep each floor population up, and new dynamic in HR now you have to worry about potentual fresh teams entering when your floor 2/3 start easy to balance by ajusting token cost and keeps people from semi afking at a red stairs waiting for it to open.

Please allow us to recover gingerbread we have turned in for the quest. I am at 97/100 and it will be a real shame to have never got to use them at all and never finish the quest

How about making the ranged part of the Fighter and Barbarian a little less strong? Make Francisca deal a lot less damage but make it 3 stack. Make fighters with bows/crossbow have a -15% action speed while holding ranged weapons. This should make ranged classes deal better with the kiting and playing around with the distance.

Rather than having all pvp rewarded equally, assign value to players based on what they've looted, and let players see this value when the player is spotted, maybe as a colored aura or something. Zero or low value kills penalize the killer somehow, because its actively interfering with the dungeon exploration and overall looting. High value kills don't carry a penalty and the killer can get some good loot since they now can pick whether or not the target is worth risk. Killing someone who picks a fight with you first carries no penalty.
This gives incentive to keep players around early, and incentive for betrayal later on when everyone can see who has the best estimated value. This also means more people survive to go down a floor or two, and could even result in some boss raids with huge betrayals at the end of the day. There could even be people trying to hide their loot, at which point someone else could steal it and run off.
This ranking system is what creates teaming, if anyone uses equipment too well, all lobby teaming will kill that person and share items, the most useless thing is this extremely ridiculous ranking system.
The current game cannot check and ban hackers because hackers use better software so the game is full of hackers repeating many games.

I thought the increase PvP points was a good incentive to get kills before you doubled it tbh, even if you do team there's still plenty of instances where there's not enough portals before hand. Just so happened 2/5 got lost to the storm already so which one of you is going down or dying? 🤷♂️

yeah pls change the ice map escape method, having to have your entire team split up and also run into potentially already taken portals is EXTREMELY unfun, and unecessary. plus add in some type of new feature to combat this

Please add a fking note on the ice map that there are NO EXIT PORTALS! Me and a friend waited in the middle of the map till 1/8th was left assuming portals would pop soon till we figured no god damn portals spawn, we ran to find statics and they were all taken and lost our kits.

Make wizard a better class already. It gets countered by every other class in the game with a low health pool and movement speed. Also not to mention you have to run 10 spell to even have a chance at winning pvp meaning you are sitting down for 80-90% of the match. Unless you are just going in for kills and no loot so you can bring an inventory full of campfires that reduce your sitting time by half but even that is still bad and not engaging at all. I just think every class should be semi playable at base kit but with wizard you'll get rolled in base kit.

Look at CS:GO, the scout is a dogass weapon, the average player will never buy it and opt for a P90, however high skilled players very often buy a Scout on Eco rounds as they're good and can secure kills
You gotta take into account skill differences within the class also, wizard is alot of micromanaging and spacing, where as PDR fighters can make mistakes, where a Wizard cannot, meaning more skilled and experienced players excell on wizard. Im mean fk, watch Apollo, I've watched him 3v1 people in base kits because he knows what to do in every situation

I've never seen Apollo 1v3 with base kit in HR where everyone. Also if you have a duo it is a lot easier for wizard to manage the space. But as the most played class in the game being barb and barber where they can rush you down with max move speed (with a weapon out) and deal 80% of your health in 1 hit while having a base 100 magic resist is rough for any player in a mid kit. Also are you taking in to account how rough it is to find decent wizard gear without trading? Because trading in this game is aids.
Also, rank means nothing.... It's literally how much loot you've extracted, I feel the whole ranking system in this game needs to be removed as it gives ALL players a false sense of skill

youre not going to convince barbs to stop using rage by buffing other skills and nerfing the vigor on it. you need to remove the movespeed buff from rage entirely, and barb will actually feel moderately balanced. we dont care barbs have tons of hp, we care that they have that, big damage, AND are faster than almost every other class in the game. im cool with tanky damage barb, but this supersonic barb is not okay.

This patch ain't it. At all. This map isn't functional it's so deadly, and it's hyper-stacked with monsters who are too difficult or too dense in number. And the removal of portals was a deeply foolish plan.
Just in case people haven't seen it, as well. Demon Form, one of the other promised features of this patch, is completely valueless. Nobody wants to use a form with no magic or physical damage bonus, the same damage as fists or a darkbolt cast without any tome.
The frost giant berserkers are nearly just as a bad. Just a slightly nerfed version of the demon berserker - In other words, just as many unavoidable attacks even for the non-elite versions

Ice map is terrible, it's way overtweaked in both numbers, and as far as I can tell the ice giants are not a creature that should be just walking around there - they're way deadlier than skelly champs

Personally, I think the nerf and buffs to Barb did nothing to fix the current issues. Barbs are still the class with the most HP even if you take away 5 vigor and now Barb can cripple your move speed and your damage with roar. Ironmace, Barb needs only nerfs, not buffs.
The problem with barb is that there is no counter to them, not even a situational counter. They are able to keep pace with rangers, which means they can just w to win. They either need to have their speed nerfed overall or they need to have their stupid anti-magic perk removed so warlocks and wizards can be their killers instead

High PDR fighter seems to be the only consistent counter for barb. Unfortunately that type of build means you get no movespeed though, so good luck trying to escape lol... Definitely needs a change, just hope the devs make it quick.
I think there should be a mechanic to add some more personalization to spell casters and melee/physical damage builds. Via Training manuals, and grimoires. these books which you can equip depending on your stats will give you extra passive buffs, or even abilities if done right this could add avenues of end game gearing that are always going to be different and build an intricutely connected system for regearing that takes multiple runs to accomplish a full book setup

My suggestion would be, when rolling out new skills / perks you want to make them slightly OP, so as many people as possible try them out so you get more feedback info.
Warlock new skill demon form is currently a subpar skill as agreed upon in the warlock channel.
Same deal with demon armor, this is the third iteration that is straight up bad ( the casting speed is 2 big of a hit).
So the question arises, if these perks/skills are straightup bad, the majority of playerbase wont bother to use them and the devs have very little info to work with, or am i wrong.

In my opinion, there are too many mobs on the new ice map, but overall I enjoy it the most right now. I guess it's because it's new.
1- Short Rotation duration with 3 maps is an hour imagine with 4 or 5.
2- ice caves is currently hard AF for the solo rotation its a map for TRIOS!
3- let goblin caves rest, it sucks.

This is a good idea. I was suprised we didn't have this after I came back since playtest 1 and 2
ADD COLOR BORDERS ON ALL ITEMS TO SHOW RARITY, blue items= blue border, puprle= purple border. This helps players with item identification when opening chests, inventory or other players bodies. Helps when you have 7 seconds left b4 timer reaches 0.

Yeah questing was always a problem but this is ridiculous. We've essentially lost 3 days of progress toward AP and they JUST announced that there's fomo cosmetics on the last 3 ranks. I did not expect that there would be a bunch of FOMO cosmetics.

Killing 10 players still wouldn't cover the entrance fee even. It's way harder to rank this patch than it was last patch.
Besides that 'killing a player' is always a risk. It's not something that's so easy to say. You risk losing all your AP and the entrance fee every time you try.
Then get better? Demigod isn't for everyone. This is a hardcore adventure and if you want the goodies then learn to play better and get good. People need to realize that not everything should be handouts. That's what makes it special.
All I am saying is give us some damn time compensation. Demigod is a grind, it's not a difficult thing it's just a time gate, and they took away 3 days from us.
And I'm saying it's not a time gate. You can get 1k+ AP a game if you're good and have the know how. That's roughly 20 hours of played time including dying every so often
You can get 1k AP per RUINS game, that's 33% of the time now buddy. With the ice map in rotation we get 33% less time on ruins.

FIGHTER needs like a Lunge ability and more like Disarm, jump attack, ect.. worlock so powerful now there is no point playing fighter at all
The game matches you up with people of 'similar skill' if it can. It's not realistic to expect people to slaughter the whole lobby when everyone is expected to be the same skill level.
Ruins full run to inferno without killing big bad boss nets you like 1800 ap then minus your entry fee

and that's where the get good comes from. Mediocre players will stay in pathfinder and lower. Good players will be voyager and great players will be exemplar/demigod

I'm not the only person who feels this way. Most people were not bothering with the ranked grind because of how boring and unappealing it was to play high level ranked until it was announced there were fomo cosmetics. You can sit in your high chair all you want but it's just that.
There are still 21 days left in the season, plenty of time to achieve the rank your skill should be settling you at. If it reaches the end of the season and you are inches away from your next level up and another 2 days would have helped you get there, maybe you'd have a point and should send them a ticket. But I have a feeling that won't be the case
100% they wouldn't care about a ticket. I'd try it for sure but yeah. I grinded up to Voyager PRE patch and I'm getting sent back down to pathfinder even though my grinding was done pre patch because of their crappy backups.

You guys need test servers for your development process. Every update put out gets hotfixed the next day. It’s clear to me that internal testing capabilities are lacking or you guys are under too much self imposed pressure to get content out. Either way, putting new content on test servers would give you an avenue to both give players new content and have it be properly tested so that you don’t have to rollback data on the main servers.

Doesn't have to be an immense amount of testing, just pop it on there for a week before. Would save a ton of trouble.
WE are the test server. This game is in early access. It's essentially a beta. We just got out of playtests less than half a year ago.
They literally advertise a 'test server' on the founders edition for 'experimental builds'. I see no reason why not to do this, it would give founders edition buyers more value and it would save a ton of trouble so they don't have to work through 6 AM in Korea when they release something before going to bed and everything goes wrong.

Y'all wanna make a hotkey to see the full map? I think that would be cool. Help with navigation also. Or make the map discoverable like fog of war where you get to unlock the parts of the map you've been to in previous games or something? Idk I think it'd be helpful and add value to the game. 🙂

I was just wondering why there's not a class restriction for teams? at least for HR? like triple ranger or rogue or anything shouldn't really be a thing, would make more sense that they limit it to 1 per team, so that way there's not triple ranger just deleting you with there bows from across the map
Triple wizard queing up chain lighting all at once. Only problem is they can't clear pve well, so maybe duo wizard and 1 warlock
even then my point is that three classes that are the same shouldnt be a thing, even in your example it should be one wizard, one warlock, and one other class because the other two are taken

Wizard really needs a nerf. As it stands right now they have far too many options in terms of spell diversity. Scaling back and giving some of their options to the other classes is far more needed, for example Warlock could use a second fireball option and buffs are far more of Cleric's realm, so maybe give them haste. Wiz also simply moves too quickly and takes too much damage. Barbarian who only has melee options has far too much trouble catching up and dealing with the wizard who can haste !!5!! times and needing two shots to put them down seems like too much. Lastly, them having the ability to meditate is far too powerful, and allows them to recover their spells way quicker than the cleric. They should have be forced to sit like everyone else to replenish spell slots. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
This is a phat L take. 'Wizard' as a class actually focuses on knowing nearly every spell out there, and it's supposed to help the party with buffs and such. You're thinking about sorcerer. Sorc's are the spell specialist that go towards one type of spell but cast it in different ways. Similar to pyromancer using different fire spells only

100% should not, esp since it makes ranking near the end of season grind a lot harder people having to re-learn a new map. Not to mention the bugs and mob density problems it has.
No problems with it being in HR but it should 100% be it's own separate thing. It also lets people who want to have fun on the new map... consistently play the new map as opposed to waiting to play it once every 90 minutes.

The new map needs a major extract overhaul, to be honest. If you're in a group there, the lack of available extracts coupled with the extreme enemy density is a death sentence in some spawns. Even if that wasn't the case, being forced to split up in duos and trios doesn't make sense and the statics are too spread out to secure multiple like you'd normally do with portals. Either there needs to be more extracts or they need to be all multi-use; And in general the density needs toned down too.
I'm noticing goblin cave stability seems to be even worse for some reason, in addition.

Playing normals warlock, swapped my falchion for a green I found in match. Trying to play again, no common/junk falchions for the last 2 vendor resets. You guys are royally messing up with the vendors having common/junk gear on random rotation. This should be a no-brainer.

I just fele like it is way too op, the stats increases are really good too, i just straight up killed 2 geared fighters without having to heal, no shards, with no gear except for a green shadow mask in HR
videos or it didn't happen. And yeah, fighters are weak to magic, go figure.
i've watche a couple of high geared warlock, they get over 220 hp and +300MS, straight up 3 tapping geared ranger without having to worry about their teammates attacking them

i guess you're one of those people who just can't accept some facts without living it yourself, it's alright, i was just making a suggestion, and even if the class wasn't that op, i just feel that lore speaking, a warlock takes time to make a contract with the demon and it leaves a burden on their body, would make more sense to not make it a spammable spell overall, (or reduce its effects)

for a new named item, why not the spear, but instead it becomes the trident of atlantis, when hitting an opponent with the spear, reduces their phys dmg by 7.5% for 3 seconds, and resets on every new stack for up to 5 stacks, being 37.5% total. another way it could work could be it gives you a waterfoot buff, after a hit, grants 12% move speed bonus for 4 seconds.

It's hard to say what without changing too much.
But, for example maybe fighter gets a passive or something.
Just imo 2 skills vs. 5/6/10 seems a bit odd.
I dont think the prospect of Wkeying outweights the flexibility that casters get.
Bottom Line: I think classes with only 2 skills makes the game a bit less fun compare to classes with more skills.

They should probably buff warlock's demon form....it pretty much feels like a downgrade as it just hurts me and I don't deal any extra damage with claw swipes
Spells compensate for casters' general lack of melee ability when compared to fighter or barb. Wizard for instance is awful for pve clear unless they bring magic missile. Fighters and barbs get access to weapons that clear pve quite easily. Clerics are very limited when it comes to weapons and warlocks are in a very weird spot where they have some decent melee but don't want to be in melee because they're tissue paper without demon armor.
I do think that Rogue should get a 'skill wheel' type ability where they can slot lockpicking, trap disarming, smoke bombs, and caltrops
I am not saying casters are 'op' with this post I am moreso speaking from the concept of fun.

Extraction method for Duo and Trio that does not aid teaming, just your actual team. It even allows there to be even less overall gates
Yeah, kind of... It definitely looks scarier than it actually is. In fact, we have at least 5 more scary demons hunting us all down with their axes in every game. Quite noisy demons to boot, for they constantly yell and shout.
I think they haven't pushed enough their test on the DF, as i said in french, there's a great game design error here
like i don't mind that DF can have one unique spell to use, but make a new spell for it, not a dark bolt that you can spam
DB already deals a great amount of dmg at base, having +10 will amp it so much and even more with the rest of the gear
Just to ask it here, instead of just in the suggestions board, what would people actually think to all portals allowing allies to follow you through for ~5 seconds?
e.g. You open a portal, and when you step through, it turns Green to your allies, indicating they can enter, and Yellow to enemies, indicating they can no longer enter.
Then after 5 seconds it disappears.
Same for static exits. The Torches glow Green/Yellow after the first person enters, allowing allies to follow them in for ~5 seconds.
This allows your group to escape together, but specifially does not allow teamers (of different groups) to escape together. It even allows you to reduce the amount of total exits in duos and trios
Here's the problem with that. IMace doesn't want for game to be "friendly". They want and NEED it to be a bloodbath. Their recent changes to AP system shows that clearly. Why? Simple. The more you have to fight > the more you lose your equipment > the more you need to play and earn your gear back. They don't want this game to be even remotly friendly in players interacting with each other. Thus, you want for your team to extract? FIND THREE PORTALS, honey!
That being said, most of people in the game are also straight maniacs, who don't even realize, that you DON'T HAVE, NOR NEED, TO FIGHT untill the 2 last circles, lol! Most players will just W key on you, swinging whatever pointy or otherwise sharp object is in their character's hands. So I doubt it will be even concidered as an option.
There is one more thing... Given recent developments and the new game coming out, on Steam (!!!), the IMace will need to really put their backs behind some GOOD changes and patches or... Well, no king rules forever. Perhaps we will finaly see some nerfs and buffs where it actually counts and the game will be more interesting to play and easier to bounce back after lost after all...

They could also make some changes like you can use a (enemy) player's soul to open/re-open a static, or summon a portal. That would also work, as the mechanic ensures that someone literally had to die for you to escape. This would also make enemy player's deaths way more valuable to you, e.g. bloodbath
@dawn grotto i'd love to see a scepter ingame, for casters, possibly for cleric, that can be a 1h weapon used to hit with and cast 🙂
