@keen onyx this suggestion channel feels completely pointless. rogue is op and busted, you buff rogue into the sky, ranger is busted and op, you don't nerf ranger since pt3 and actually buff them, cleric can two tap anyone with smite which is busted, warlock one taps people with boc and dark reflection. can you simply... just simply remove all the one shots from the game. just don't have anything in the game that one shots people in an ALL LOOT pvp game? hmm?

And this balance issue can be fixed by how you execute it. If its dark reflection that hit you hard, just use ranged to deactivate it first. For boc ive given the counter way to you already

It’s a 1 trick pony ability as well, one block means you now have full advantage it’s one of the most predictable and easy to counter abilities in the game lol
This is the kind of game require player learn to adopt different play style for different situation. As if you dont accept it the game is not for you
Just take the l and learn from it. Next time the warlocks holding a glowing stick get ready for the overhead swing
1 block and the situations literally flipped on it’s head. Hell, back pedal and out last the effect and the go in or bait him into swinging and hitting a part of the environment. Lots of ways to deal with that situation, shield by far is the easiest answer though
ive played 2 many games with warlocks and have an idea what to expect. itd be like a ranger being the tankiest character. lets give a magic caster the strongest melee hit . might as well make the ranger the tankiest at that point
That analogy only works if the ranger was tanky for 1 hit and then it went on a 20 sec cooldown (or w/e it is I don’t use BOC)
It’s a very simple 1 trick, it’s literally the same danger as a barb with reckless except they are 10x less dangerous after they land or fuck ip the first hit
Warlocks are casters and excel in that roll, BOC is a gimmick at best

It’s a non existent issue because it’s only really effective against people who have never seen it before / underestimate it. Just avoid melee combat with them until it goes on cooldown or block it like the chad fighter you are and proceed to show him your fighters melee dominance
Or run slayer fighter and remove the mr penalties entirely

A caster that can wield halberds lol. I think your just applying your pre-existing understanding of what you think a warlock is instead of looking at the class as a whole objectively. Warlocks are spell swords in this game, he’s applying a magic buff to his weapon and than hitting you with it to transfer the magic into you. It’s not a garbage concept if it has valid counter play and is readable af.
IMO it’s even the worst way to build a warlock, caster warlock is supreme and phantomize has way more utility, as the other guy said it’s really a git gud situation and that’s solid advice

What a warlock is differed heavily in media, this game takes heavy inspiration from TTD&D and warlocks have subclasses that allow them to wear full plate and be melee focused (pact of the blade). Hell if they actually go through with adding multi classing to the game like they’ve stated in the past a full plate warlock or a lightning flinging barb might not be that out of the question in DAD

- In white it deal 80dmg in head.
- Animation reset upon hits which make its attack speed almost even to one handed weapon. Its way too fast as two handed weapon.
- Blocking also slow down for 1 second or lower, the window not big enough to counter attack.
- only way to counter are waiting for a miss.

Adjust the troll pelt quest? 2% drop rate and often you can't kill it due to zone/spawn, people griefing etc. Done 40 kills on my wiz and still haven't got it... for a 1 and done quest like this seems kinda weird to leave it to pure rng

Make a "lucky coin" item, white rarity to allow it to be brought into normal matches. Have it only be found in royal coffins/gold chests. When flipped in game, has a 50-50 chance of applying the same luck buff as the Potion of Luck.

I think Ray of Darkness does deserve a nerf but nothing radical (Maybe going down from 12 to 10 (It doesn't need to go all the way back down to 6)) and Dark Reflection needs to not be Dark Damage as to not synergize with Soul Collector as for some classes full Soul Collector Dark Reflection can just 1 tap them from full health LUL.
Otherwise I think Warlock is fine, BoC is for sure scary but I think the Class needs it.

Oh 100%, the rest of the kit needs help. It's the same thing with Bard though, they have a super good high end and a trash low end now because of how they got rebalanced (that said Bard needs alot of changes and seems like some of how it functions is forgotten about; The shield song is just not worth running while being one of the most expensive to equip for example) (I'm also fairly certain Randombrutal is just a troll/baiting at this point so it's not worth interacting with them).

Make it so the single on hit trigger skills like Boc are removed if they are blocked once currently the only counter play they have is if you try to run or block till the timer runs out they should be high risk high reward skills and currently they just aren't(I am big dumb and apparently this is already a thing)

Would be nice to craft uncommon throwables from weaponsmith with copper ingots. I feel like copper is not that useful, unless you wanna get best uncommon quality item stat rolls which is time consuming. With crafting throwables or any consumables with copper is gonna make it useful for a long haul combined with silver throwable crafting option aswell.

Honestly the LS should be -30. It handles like a mix of a two-handed weapon and a one-handed weapon; the damage is only slightly higher than the Falchion and the slow on hit is between the Falchion and the Arming Sword.

Holy fuck the rock phase on the cyclops is not fucking fair bro, I jump 5 times in a row on the same timing every time and 3 times it dodges and 2 times it doesn't I get hit by like 4 fucking rocks on each of them and I'm instantly dead. I can dodge the fucking troll high low consistently and I can't jump fucking cyclops stagger phase what the fuck.

I unironically had more fun with the boss when it was fucking bugged even though there was no threat because this just straightup feels unfair to play against. I can play the rest of the fight literally perfect without taking a singular hit and rock phase will literally kill me almost every time because the timing is inconsistent on it or it's just too tight.
Like what is my mistake I'm jumping a frame too early or a frame too late? I literally have a timer on a second monitor set up with a macro on my jump button so I can see what timing I'm exactly jumping at

The per slot gold for items is 5 for green, 8 for rare, and 12 from epic from last check - that means rings and amulets are 5 8, or 12 gold
i think it would be cool to introduce bounties into the game. it would be cool if you can see a poster with one random play in the pre lobby and if you kill them you get a reward once you extract. And if you are the one with the bounty you get a reward for extracting after a certain amount of time. Maybe for event mode or idk

Im 120 dry, With the server lag I want to cry. 1/3 of the time there are no giant spiders on the map, you get 4 spiders, the room is always in the damn ring. Its terrible. I dont like playing gobling cave, but to progress im forced into this terrible terrible grind. Most of the other quests you will get done abiently, and can be done during normal play, but to complete this I feel like im doing a fucking runescape boss grind. Its terrible

When the servers are having issues or are down, WE NEED A SINGLE PLAYER MODE. Like god damn man.
To be honest, the task of the NPC tailor is almost only for a group of streamers or people who play in teams for a long time to do. Finding 15 camfires or kits or lether caps takes a long time, but there is still hope of doing it. Killing 5 Demon bats or 3 Bersekers or 15 liches, honestly I don't see any hope, playing with a random team always dies before entering the red gate or dies under the red gate due to layout changes or one person accidentally leading the monster. Until then, there were a few times when I went through 80% of the map and still didn't see a Demon bat or because the ring couldn't do anything, I continued to enter the Crypt continuously for nearly a week and still couldn't kill a single demon.

Bard shouldn't have to have 4 instruments & knowlage to play there songs one starter instrument and a pool of "grey" songs would definitely improve the quality of life on the Bard it also opens up the possibility to new instruments like war horns
When trading, item property filters shouldnt include items that have the property in their base stats. I have to filter for my entire class of items now to do general trading, when I ask for knowledge that doesn't mean any occultist boots, they need a relevant roll from my property filter as well
I hope that this lag is a wake-up call for the devs that we need to have "local" or "co-op" only modes for people to play, separate from the main playerbase.

The classic "I won't explain why it's a bad idea, I'll just say it is". An option to let people play more how they want to is never, ever a bad idea, but you wouldn't know that, would you?
Adding an option for a player or group of friends to de-stress and play in a gamemode completely cut off from the main game (like season vs non-season in D3) is never a bad idea in the long term.
If you cant think yourself about the negative consequences i wont explain. The classic is rather you : i want to change a game to my likings and if someone is against that i think theyre dumb.
There are little to no negative consequences to it since it's always an option to go "online" or "play solo/with friends". The pros significantly outweigh the cons.
If you mean a mode like the practice mode in Tarkov where you can never bring loot out and not all kinds of enemies and loot are properly implemented, that would be fine

The loot from "Private Game" cannot be taken into the "Public Game" in this idea, and Trading can only occur between party members with the same "Private Game" status.

Private Games would be a big, big deal for this game (especially if it's like this), since it can really add some much-needed content and spice to the game.
For those worried of it encroaching on Public Games, I will remind you that both private and public games, in this concept, would be completely separated from each other.
Custom games would be nice for testing and competitive, but saying it's a big deal for the majority of the playerbase is an overstatement. It's not really "content", it's just the same thing with less stakes, and no pvp.
I think most players would prefer new classes, maps, talent trees, weapons, spells and progression systems before custom games.
Make 'Copperlight' gears white, so they can be used in the normal dungeon. Additionally, remove the random modifier but change the base - action speed to +. Now, there's actually a practical reason to mine copper.

I mean take the soul heart of your teammates. since you cannot pick up enemy soul hearts the perk soul collector already applies like you said. Like instead of needing an alter to revive teammates you could have a spell or perk that allows you to revive teammates like a clerics spell. Its just an idea and idk truely what but yeah teammates soul heart usage
oh I get what you mean. it cant be too similar to cleric revive, but maybe if it ressurected them with some kind of debuff like cant heal (and start them with more hp), or an undead status. make it something like necromancy since warlock is the closest thing we have to that rn
I have two ideas, Revival, where the lock sacrifices 50% hp and uses 1 soul heart to revive the target to 1hp. Debuff could be something like "undead" where you cannot be healed by cleric spells and all healing is reduced by 25% for the duration of the match.
the other is like self-buffing using teammates soul heart, where lock can sacrifice a teammates soul heart to either heal itself to full hp like a surg kit or to give a % bonus to curse damage or something.

Animation to a revive spell could be like summoning hydra, they rise from a portal in the ground, like their coming back from hell lol
yea the resurrection has to have a debuff in order to make it different especially since its coming from the opposite of a divine class like cleric. using it as a buff or utility item would be cool too, but I'm not sure itd be worth replacing a perk unless its really good and only useful when a teammate dies. if it would be useable as a buff/utility item even when taken from an enemy itd be cool, but only if the entire team is dead since itd be a really strong bm tactic if they still had someone alive

I've been using dark enhancement if I'm doing pve for quests since its more consistent. ray is great at finding rogues tho and dueling with rangers since the constant damage makes them panic
I use flame walker + Curse. If someone is hard chasing through flame i BoC them towards the end of flame. If they don't chase, i redo flame then use ray
yea i use flame walker when running phantomize to see the fear in their eyes plus it makes mob farming a cakewalk
i tried phantomize + flame walker but its too overused together and i feel like most people i fight expect it and realize lock is pretty defenseless during that phantomize period. Also, Running BoC keeps melee classes in check
yea usually if i run phantomize with boc and melee only. running down rangers with it is great since they dont know how much longer ill be invunverable

none of the magic classes really prove a threat since you can run a top that has 50 mag resist on top of your already high base coupled with the +25% mag resist. only thing that threatens it is a ranger or fighter. long range fights are the real threat since at mid range you could cast hydra for cover or to make it so they have to move from where they currently are.
I think movespeed barb is the biggest threat. Unless in fighting a ranger/fighter that just hits all their shots im not losing to them.
Buff evil eye flight speed and make it able to open doors or detect invisible
with a barb ive found that using a falchion or longsword is an easy win since their range of attack is pretty short and movespeed is cut significantly when using two handed weapons. against a 1 handed barb its best to cast cop or bolt repeatedly but that comes down to who has the faster movespeed items. they cant block spells so its far easier to hit them than a fighter or cleric
When you put away your weapon(take your bare hands out) it says "bare hands" in white text at the bottom of your screen. When you wear gloves, it still says bare hands.
My suggestion is this: if you are wearing for example epic rarity riveted gloves, it should say riveted gloves in purple text at the bottom of your screen instead of bare hands in white text.

Nerf barbarians, they can have 320 move speed and 1 shot you with 180 hp. THIS IS JUST UNFAIR. Nerf HP pool, nerf move speed, nerf savage, nerf berseker, nerf achilles hitbox so it takes more skill to aim it.

its not even close dude both barb and rogue require 0 skill because you have 1 shot with little to no gear. Barbs can run berseker with savage and have base battleaxe and 1 shot you if theyre low hp happened to me in HR gobs last leaderboard runs last wipe. They litterally zero gear kill any class and all they have to do is achilles you with little to zero aim because the hitbox is so f'ed. I know rogues were "weak" for a while there, but right now theyre way to strong, dagger perk base daggers hit for 30 and castillion base dagger hits 52 last hit, thats just as much as i hit in a decent kit on my ranger with a offhand Rapier/Arming aboslutely busted.

no you don't dude rogues base daggers with dagger mastery now 1 combo does 110 hp. most wizards,warlocks,bards,rangers play with less than 110hp now because they have to stack other stats. especially ranger is hella weak they need HP, so you need vigor, but it does no dmg so you need to stack physical dmg stuff but if you do that you dont have any move speed to kite barbs, clerics, or fighters. You need move speed to kite because you have no escape mechanism other than traps and your zones change from zone to zone, you can spend 5minutes clearing a zone for your ranger in HR gobs to only have the zone pull to the other side of the map, and if youre trying to setup a zone in the middle as a ranger chances are youll die to either a barbarian, fighter or rogue that just completely have better perks and skills than you. Rangers have no escapeability besides placing traps that take 30seconds. honestly if you have trap mastery it should be instant trap placement. Meanwhile every other class gets to have an escape ability thats both instant and on cooldown. meanwhile we lose our traps even if we or our teammates step in them. They need to rework ranger because its super weak rn. Either make crossbows stronger on rangers because we have no health no movespeed. and if we build health/movespeed we have no dmg. but we can kite. Its like youre forced to build hybrid and get shiit on by any class that focuses on movespeed aka fighters stacking agility and PDR, rogues, and barbarians. I have a fairly even fight with bards and wizards 1v1 but those 3 are not even close its a complete and utter 1 sided massacre for them against rangers. ive put 37 arrows into a 52 pdr cleric before in hr gobs and he wasnt even half health

thats the thing you can't even kite as ranger rightnow, barbs get a skill on CD that gives 15% movespeed. meanwhile i have to waste my stat pool on agility/movespeed and have very slow bow draw speed even with nimblehands. Because agility only contributes very slowly to actionspeed and dexterity now. I cant shoot my arrows faster than a barbarian can just achilles me and run across the module . Lets say I'm spacing out correctly ya? Arrows have flight speed theyre very easy to dodge from distance, from range usually you want to utilize crossbows. So lets say i hit a crossbow hit from across the map the reduced dmg from that means my crossbow only hit for 40-48 dmg barbs are still 110+hp. lets say they close the distance by that time i need to swap to my bow i only get 2 shots before they close the distance im forced to aim legs for 70% move speed reduction. barbs have significantly more plays, they can tank there hp as a resource, they have achilles heel, they have savage roar again because cooldown iis so short. They can also dodge very easily leg shots, if i aim head and hit once lets say i only bring them to 40-60hp. meaning i can aim at body but i dont have time to pull another 2 arrows to kill them. My only option at this point is to force leg shots and hit every shot or im dead. or Quickshots off cooldown with rapid fire and i can try to aim to kill. My point is I'm forced into a unfavorable situation not because of missplay, not because im not kiting, but because barbarians are heavily favored in 1v1's against any class. Theyre way to strong, last wipe if you checked outlaw leaderboards for range i was 350 for hr gobs, at 1870 points. 1870 isnt even top 1000 for barbarians as top 10 are in the 6000 range. that means they have atleast 6x my Kill death ratio at the higher ends of pvp vs equally skilled rangers in top 10 with only 2.5k mmmr. AKA NOT BALANCED.
Base gear Barbarian shouldn't take "0 skill" in mid-tier play+, maybe against people who run into a felling axe, but the Barbarian should have a hard time hitting achilles and finishing a kill without a mistake.
Full speed Barb is another thing

The speed on Barb might tighten your options, but you do have options. 1 trap, he's dead. Use doors to slow him down and get shots each time

you can't even kite in goblin caves only specific modules and guess what theirs always a way to cut the kitting in half by running diagonals, its also very easy for fighters with pdr and sprint. arrows do no dmg to them. even with 5% armor pen on the bow does absolutely nothing, and when they get close you cant outrun them because they get savage/sprint again in another 17seconds.
purple longbow is shiit now, youd need 40 dex to do anything with it because the drawspeed is so bad

My point is 180 hp, only needing to stack agi/movespeed to 1 shot, barbs have to much unfair resources. Rangers are 1shot by mostly any class. And our arrows projectile speed is to slow and to easy to dodge, its way to easy to close gaps, making kiting way more diffficult than the opposing force that only needs to press W and duck and crouch a few times. They also LOS and use obstacles to reduce the effectiveness of kiting. Rangers trully need to run 3 weapons, main bow, crossbow, and melee usually rapier with lantern or a good spear. also rangres take way to long to setup zones by the time you setup 3 traps to be able to kite well, the zone is closing, and you're already in a fight. You say play different map different class etc. I'm not a meta andy that's going to play whatever is good right now, every class needs to have playability at highends pvp to make a competitive environment. Not just 3-4 classes that do the same thing over and over and that same thing over and over isn't even counterable. I can't counter a 60%pdr fighter, I can't counter a barbarian with move speed higher than a rogues thats just face rolling me even if i do dmg it just increases the likelyhood ill be 1 shot by berserker and savage. You're correct all classes have week points, strong points etc. However being 6x higher than 2nd place in HR gobs leaderboard outlaws just goes to show Barb needed nerfed hard 2 wipes ago. Fighters are a close 2nd at being double the mmr of any other class aside from 1st place meanwhile Ranger and warlock alwys bottom of the barrel. People complain dying to arrows all the time, if you die to a arrow that means you couldn't react within 4ms to a arrows flightpath, it also means you didnt LOS, theirs 3-4 things you could of done differently, meanwhile vs a barb that just hard rushes you and takes there HP pool as a resource to get close theres absolutely nothing you can do unless you're fortunate enough to be in a module that allows you to kite well.

if you cant kill the ranger its not the rangers fault. I play Ranger main mostly in crypts with a clerik fighter and me premade group and i get absolutely blasted at minimum half of the games. Yes sometimes the enemies dont have enough time to get close enough to me but oh boy if they can ambush us in any way and go straight at me iam dead. doesnt even matter wich class it is. Even Wizards just kill me in one sec with missiles or spam lightning. ranger literally is a glass canon and iam fine with it but most of the games even with a very good recurve bow i need at least 4 shots if they arent headshots and landing headshots on greater distances are almost impossible to get if combat is already started. as @eager oyster stated. There are so many ways with crouch and crouch jumping to actively dodge bow shots its insane a really good player will just avoid any shot and if they are at me iam dead anyways. The only thing that rescued me some of the times is the "shotgun" without that skill i would be dead all the time.

It's a really great experience. I'm glad to know the devs care about balance. Being killed by PDR fighters and rangers the entire day that play in the most basic way while you try to come up with some level of strategy, is awesome.
Here's a suggestion guys: Stop building this game around rangers. They are not the end-all be-all. Damage should fall off with distance and you should have to correct your shot after firing a shot. Until that happens, there is not much point in playing right now,
ESPECIALLY with the ddos on the servers, it makes being not range worse. Miss a couple shots as range? No big deal, fire a couple more. miss your swings as melee? Well, you're dead bud.

People like me that want to play the game but easily get nauseated uses lower resolution to help with the nasea but the inventory and stuff doesn't adjust to the resolution so they just pile in the screen cause the resolution is smaller but they don't get smaller with it

they already change stats and in the case of the lizardman even changes you hitbox and applies a gear limitation(and theres already talk of a dwarf race)

Problem with these race ideas is they give people the ability to minmax for whatever they're doing.
Gotta go mining? Equip the dwarf race to do so.
Need to get some fast gold? Equip the goblin race for more luck.
Farming quest materials? Equip the elf race to find them.

Action speed perk for Fighters using 2handers. Theres very little support for armored fighters who dont want to use falchion and shield.
Slayer was a good option and 2handers need more support to encourage versatility in the class.

obviously i did that and its far less effective VS PDR. i dont think they should be getting 2 ranged options that work at perfect intervals. im almost demigod rank solo GC on barb. every single time i die its to the EXACT same build. someone with a cross bow doing over 1/3 of my HP in non head non limb hits. while i have roughly 160 HP without rage and 20 ish PDR. he also has 3 fran stacks which after i dodge all his cross bow shots to close the gap, he then starts hucking. and then after i finally get in after all that i virtually auto lose bc i dont have a felling axe bc that weapon is trash and im dead bc i cannot attack with any 2hander and not have it get parried and then you basically insta die. he can stand there, tank 4 Zwei hits and the moment he blocks one attack you die.you can literally play that buidl stand there and make bad play after bad play after bad play and block one hit and you saved all your mistakes
its actually unreal. and its the most commen fighter build at my rank. so nearly every other game has one it in, if not every game. and the counter on barb is literally nothing. and casters are afraid to fight it because 2 tapped by xbow which he can shoot so extremely fast. i dont normally get salty about that shit but its so cringe. Espcially when i run crush which literally say "defeat blocks and parries"

just my 2 cents on this discussion (also I am a terrible player so is skill issue). in normal gear runs - barbarian swings are SUPER SLOW on any 2 handed weapons. Rogues can hit twice and get out range even before the swing ends.... with fighters and warlocks you can hit one (unless you use fighter's rush) also you can parry almost any swing. Currently barbarian needs to have more skill to win fights 🤷♂️
bottom line: use the OP classes (Fighter or Ranger or Rogue) and steal all the gear at the ending circle
well no, im not venting. im suggesting ironmace make sprint % based. and im suggesting that that playstyle be nerfed or straight up removed. riposte is a really stupid, and bad mechanic especially since only 2 classes have access to it.
riposte is the only reason why that build is so good. because it allows you to make 100 mistakes ad missplays , land literally one block, which unless you're a caster you have to hit him to kill him, and then he wins the fight for free.

which, was literally bound to happen bc im using a zweihander, and he literally has 4-6 chances depending on second wind. so he can miss his parry 4 times and still insta kill me when hes geared

This was more of just a thought, needs to be thought out but:
What if second wind stopped when taking damage, so you cant second wind in the middle of the fight or its wasted. Youre forced to retreat and take a second to heal. In turn it heals more and and maybe a bit faster
Reduce heals to like 3 as a cleric, it's complete BS that they can disengage and go to full in a matter of like 10 seconds.

Also, i suggest to make a new skill to rogue. Percentage is a example. Next successful attack(to human, mob, object) damage 100%more when hitting from backside, and when it over, next 3 successful(to human, mob) attack will damage 100% less. This can make rogue's surprise attack more critical. But this skill is balanced by adding some restriction. 'Backside only' can prevent rogue's win when looking each other. 'Next 3 attack No damage' mean if first attack fail rogue will loss dps and battle ability. The reason I suggest this is I think rogue is a assassin, so first attack's meaning is important. Of course this can make rogue is fatal to who is off the guard. But On the othet hand rogue can't use skill bursting which means very weak to who is on the guard. Thank you.

But only epic or more weapon can do this. So rogue who uses supplyment item can't use this.

Significantly increase quest item/crafting items drop rates. Too many earless goblins and peltless wolves. Quests take excessively long to do if we're gonna need to do this every wipe and kills arent too bad but collection quests take significantly longer in comparison

need a solo mode to do quests, like Tailor NPC's quest to kill Demon bat, berseker or earn centaur horn, almost 100% cannot be done for some classes, quests should be done on this class instead If you create another class, you won't need to do it again, but when you create another class, you will have to do it all over again. It's like torture, but the reward is there or not, giving you a few hundred gold with a little experience when you don't need it.

DPS wise the Rapier. The Falchion is for sure good but I think it's downside is genuinely it's swing speed, it's really slow if on anyone but the Fighter but I feel it's unfair to say that with one of Fighter's gimmicks being that it can make anything fast. If someone with a Falchion get's spooked by someone they wont swing fast enough for it to matter that they're responding and they'll die, with a Rapier, Shortsword, Arming Sword or even Longsword that's different. You could argue CoB with Falchion is abit absurd though due to the motion of the weapon itself but I don't think that would change even if the damage of the Falchion was lowered. The Arming Sword however is really nice and has an additional 5 movement speed over it, further range and faster attack speed making it's DPS actually slightly higher than the Falchion; the only thing the Falchion has over the Arming Sword is that it has bigger chunk damage for each hit which DOES matter for headshots however with Agility you can dance people better with the Arming Sword than you can with the Falchion. I would say if anything the Falchion and Arming Sword are equal BUT heavily affected by playstyle and will cause 1 or the other to be better depending on the player themselves biases in how they actually play.

Make the quest account wide, so that you can have fun on other classes too without feeling like ur wasting your time.
this would be good for QOL, but has quest's are tied in with crafting BIS items this would be too strong has you go from 2 possible crafts an hour, to 16 an hour(8 character is the max I believe).
They could however make the craft screen account wide but this would remove the reward from people questing on other characters to increase their changes at crafting god-like items

The main problem with falchion is the brute damage really, I cant comprehend why it has to have so high damage, the slow swing doesnt "balance" at all the free 35-36 dmg, a green one can have 39dmg at max... Its a lot.
Ironmace, please...remove spectate mode and replace it with replay system where you can watch previous matches as soon as they have ended. Teamers, RMTs and other cheaters are using spectating mode to "stream snipe" other players. For instance, random player is hiding in a dark without any potions or light sources to expose him/her. Then these players come out of nowhere and "accidentally" find this player in a corner and without hesitation kill this player. This sort of hideous action is unfair, unsporting, downright rude and it should be a bannable offense.
EDIT: With replay system, players could easily spot these cheaters and not only report them, but allow them to record the footage with ease or to download the footage in a mp4 format to desktop. We need more players to find and expose these toxic players before Dark and Darker becomes another cheating haven for criminals to roam free without consequences.
Split Fighters Weapon Mastery into 2 perks. Melee Mastery and Ranged Mastery each perk with its own kind of drawback.
remove tip of the weapon does more damage then the rest mechanics might help to balance melee weapon for fighter better
items sold to traders increases your standing with them. It's a little much to have to grind for 15 campfires or leather caps for just 50 affinity.

warlock's blow of corruption is too strong, and rogue as a whole is too strong. i have my own frustrations with the game and im not gonna call for a nerf for every issue i have, but these 2 things definitely need a nerf

BoC is very straight forward and is choreographed, just run away until it runs out and then go back in for the kill. Almost akin to pushing smite cleric, you will most likely die if you don't wait the timer out.

can't really boc pdr fighter in my experience because they outdamage
cause they can melt just about anyone in the blink of an eye and even if you stood a chance they'll just dance around you. i get rogue is supposed to be like a glass cannon, so i get he's supposed to be strong in his own sense, but the current playstyle in both norm and high roller for any of the 3 dungeons is just sickening playing against rogues as any melee class

* The player never notices they're Shadow Banned and will continue to play like normal and complain about how there's too many cheaters and how haggling is hard.
* The player notices and creates a new account and buys the game again after being Shadow Banned for a little while (which is no different than a normal ban except it might keep them off of the game longer than just banning them).
* The player notices and enjoys being allowed to play even if they're cheating and even though they're only fighting other cheaters. An example of this is Counter Strike Global Offensive's Hack Vs Hack servers being as popular as they are.
* The player notices and because they don't want to have to buy the game again on a new account they never play again.
In 3 of these situations we have players who are cheaters that never return to the main servers and don't negatively affect the game. Where there's only 1 success situation for normal bans (in which the person cant play at all) which is the person decides to never come back because they'd have to spend money to buy the game again on a new account. The only upside to this situation is that cheaters will buy the game again but this is still a potential situation with Shadow Banning although it'll just be less often but Shadow banning will be healthier for the game and will only hurt this specific source of income but not remove it.```

Lanterns don't have weight so their modifiers are great for Rapier Bard and Warlock's option of the Falchion + Lantern is actually fairly good as it's meta to NOT have the Crystal ball in the off hand due to movement speed reduction (You'd have your Weapon on 1 and Crystal Ball on 2, but ideally you use a Staff since Ray of Darkness will scale way better with it anyway).

honestly I play warlock and just run crystal ball and falchion because it makes it easy to pop spells and then hit back without swapping weapons
Oh it 100% does but that movement speed can be a killer and with the lantern you can easily fight anywhere. Mix that with some movement speed modifiers on the lantern and some stats for buffing CoB and you have a scary combo.
i play more defensively so i dont really value move speed as much as time saved swapping things and ease of different forms of attacks

On the bard side, bard can get obscenenly high action speed as it makes sense to dump into Dexterity since it affects Song playing speed while also having the ability to go +38% Action Speed via a mix of songs and perks.

A warlock two taps with BoC, A rogue can two tap coming out of stealth, and a Wizard can kill someone with a single spell if they land a good magic missile.
If your time to kill is that long and every ranger you come across is killing you in less than a second then perhaps it's time to reflect and look inward rather than outward.
i use boc and its fine, easy kills. requires no skill.
ranger is super easy to shoot people in the leg and with a dumb 35% movement decrease its crazy for anyone pushing. fyi i can dodge crossbolts easy.
i want to play caster lock. its time to kill its way longer than any other class.
Caster warlock also has infinite sustain the ability to heal from absolutely nothing and the easiest get out of jail free card in the entire game.
The 35% move speed slow isn't even meta on ranger. If you can easily dodge a crossbow bolt then you should not have problems dodging arrows as arrows move much slower than crossbow bolts.
the time between shots is far less. triple shot close range is very hard to dodge.
i play all classes and dont struggle much at all.

I have played every class except bard, ranger doesn't need a damage nerf they're fine where they are. If you want to see which classes are broken take a look at which classes are overrepresented in the dominant meta, and when I say that I'm not referring to gear-less queues.
my team mate is barely geared and doesnt have a chest piece and hes hitting 97 headshots. he landed 2 shots and it was 2 kills... its an insane amount of damage for a headshot. spells have a travel time etc.
i dont think ranger should be doing that much dmg considering its super easy in both pve and pvp. im not sure what classes are overrepresented, i know ruins is dominated by rogues, even solo rogues, but HR farming isnt a good indication on broken surely? when treasure is all the points and kills are basically 0.

Your teammate is barely geared and hitting 97 headshots? Don't believe you, post proof of your 'barely geared' teammate hitting these 97 headshots and I'll believe you. Until you do I'll see it as an over exaggeration on your part.
On top of that "2 shots 2 kills" doesn't mean anything. A ranger is not going to be 1 shotting someone with a headshot 99% of the time unless they are absolutely turbogeared and the person they're against has very little gear.
It is not a 'super easy class in both pve and pvp' ranger can cheese inferno more easily than every other class sure, but in order to clear pve as fast as other classes do they need to take spear mastery which means they can't use the superior pvp weapon choice for melee the arming sword.
Which classes are overrepresented and have the most success in HR is a great indicator of which classes are powerful. People tend to gravitate to the easiest, highest success rate classes. Of course exceptions can exist like how fighter is the actual most popular class because of how low the skill floor is, but in general that tends to be the case.
Ranger should ABSOLUTELY be doing as much damage as they are because it's pretty much the only thing they do, they are a one trick pony. Wizards have a crazy amount of utility on top of their damage, warlocks can infinite heal permanently off of nothing and live in the storm on top of their damage. Fighters clear pve at an insane rate and still have access to ranged options that do nearly as much if not more than rangers. Rogues can get out of any situation they desire with their movespeed and hide skill. Clerics can self-heal and buff into infinity... Rangers ONLY have damage. That is the one thing they can do that other classes cannot do consistently, it's damage at range. When you suggest to nerf the one thing they're good at you're suggesting to kill the class because you don't know how to deal with consistent ranged damage.

Yeah just throwing it out there. Bard is still really strong in high gear situations, the disconnect is between anyone that isn't high geared having a miserable experience trying to play the post-nerf class.
There's a reason the number 1 boss team (Apollo's team) bring a bard with them almost every time.
Give rangers a quiver for their arrows and make the quiver have perks at different item levels. They lose the cape but get a quiver to hold arrows and not take inventory space

my snipping tool aint working or loading file but his gloves is 2 vigor 1 additional physical, legs, 2 agi 2 dex, boots 2 agi 1 magic power, cape 2 str, - bow is the only good one, an epic with 2 weap dmg (recurve) and two trash stats. i mean most rangers ive seen taking spear, but also u can just easily shoot mobs from a distance and theyre dead pretty quickly before they get to you.
i also think fighters shouldnt have access to a bow or crossbow because they are able to just throw axes, as they have speed and regen i feel they dont need crossbows and bows.

I've had a thought for a miniboss. It would be a DemiLich (floating skull with jewels for eyes) it raises 2 skeletons 1 ranged 1 melee and it shoots out its mouth the lich's normal ranged attack at half hp it puts on a shield and summon 4 skellies 2 ranged and 2 melee and stick it in the wraith/ skelly champ room in crypts removing the bordering skeletons that are there so the mechanics can be done. When it dies mainly finding jewels and what ever *crafting * item that can be placed with it.

my brother rangers are probably one of the weakest classes. ah, the wizard/warlock is complaining about the only class that counters them. rangers are pretty well balanced for what they are rn. it would be nice if they added some more ways to play it as it seems a pretty boring class. besides its damn difficult to hit arrows on people in the higher ranks, turns into a guessing game at most. and another note (I heard this from another thread so don't trust it entirely) the devs dont play ranger as they said its boring.
I do main ranger, mained fighter for awhile as well. Played every class except bard which I disliked so much upon trying I never touched it again.
When I said 'proof' I meant show me a video showing the gear and then show that it's a 97 damage headshot because I just don't buy it. You describing the gear for me doesn't do much. Rangers having to take spear to clear pve mobs is a big deal, cause spear is terrible in pvp scenarios, meaning they are mostly helpless up close if they have to take the spear. They can clear from a distance for sure but the SPEED at which they clear is not optimal in comparison to other classes. I understand Wizards have the same clearing problem but they have other strengths to make up for it.
I'm glad you are having a good streak of wins, but the class is not broken, Warlock is not either, nor is fighter.

having range is important, but id argue that most team comps I run into in 3s is easily wiz cleric barb. I don't really understand how they are "meta" they can just shoot arrows a little quicker and have a triple shot and trap ability. but several classes have ranged options with crossbow and the fighter being literally able to use a bow while countering with projectile resistance. as a fighter main I almost always curb rangers. the only time I absolutely got mauled was when I played cleric and wiz and just got outranged. dodging arrows be easy this time of year tho.

Most meta comps right now are wizard + cleric + barb/fighter/bard depending on the goal of the comp. Wizard and Cleric being the staple meta classes in 3s.
fighters have low DPS worse ranged capabilities and the only time iv'e been saved by PDR is fighting other fighters and clerics, or rogues (if they don't ambush me from behind) barbs 2 shot me in full plate constantly and wizards spin us around like were a lightning rod in the 1800s. the advantage we have is adaptability. its the reason the class is the easiest to get into. you dont have to be super niche to do well with it like warlock. in fact I got one tapped by a warlock yesterday who bonked me in the head with a staff at 120 hp. (some sort of meta true magic build thats pretty popular rn as I ran into it in the GC as well.

by the sounds of it, the real killer in that death was the on hit slow that all weapons have
Falchion in particular has deceptively long reach and a hefty on hit slow
a lot of the time in situations like that is less of a matter of the enemy being faster than you and more of the speed difference not being enough to get you out of reach before you die
there is also a lot of other factors that feed into movement speed, shrines, buffs from team mates, movement speed penalties based on the armor you're wearing
oh! and if you are running double jump keep in mind that has a large movement speed penalty on it now
Yes I am well aware of this game there is no need to explain how shrines and so on work. It was the start of the game so no buffs, after spectating he had nothing but plain white gear on. No double jumping, I had 35 agility and after going invisible and backtracking about 15 steps while he was still going in that one direction. Managed to still catch up while doing a 180 turn and have the ability to catch up and swing all while i was doing nothing but holding down W.
There should no world where that agility different should be able to catch up that quick at all
So then if b-hopping basically mitigates movement, it needs sorting. The original point is still valid that the difference in movement speeds/agility/buffs shouldn't allow that, either me attacking or defending it

by the sounds of it, you should have been in the clear
that leads me to 3 possible conclusions
- There is missing context that would explain how the warlock caught up to you
- Poor connection caused you to move as a slower than you should have (haven't noticed this problem in this game but I know its possible)
- The warlock could possibly be cheating in some way, though cheats of that nature are a lot less common than your classic ESP style cheats
Also for the b-hopping, it is really only effective on the first swing, the way you described it he would still need to get to you first
In any case, this doesn't sound like a problem with the balance

Honestly, I don't mind needing a perk to use hand crossbows
its a very useful tool for rogue
the problem is that rogue really relies on their perks to be effective so if you wanna run hand crossbows you have to really leverage what it provides to make up for not having a different perk there
basically, if you're not hitting your rupture with it or peppering the enemy with several bolts, you're going to feel like its not worth it
Problem is that fighter and the other class has access to a strong way to deal range damage. Fighters have crossbow, clerics have holy light, barbarian have franciscas, warlocks and wiz BoC/Zap. Only way a rogue has to deal damage a mid/short range is throwing knife and lets be honest... They suck.
But yeah, its basically you said about rogue relie too much on specific perks.
If you compare rogue to other classes at the moment they have an absurd amount of perks, some of them really need to be condensed. It's just so hard to feel like a complet class when you have so many variables you cannot include.
totally agree, especially with some of the more utility focused perks
things like trap detection and lockpick expert are really nice to have but you give up so much by running them
not to mention their solution to everyone saying Hide's duration was too long was to hard nerf it and give us a perk just to make it almost as good as it use to be
The fact that hide and stealth are two different perks is really tough
one thing I suggested for that is to have some of the existing perks to have +hide duration as part of the perk rather than having a dedicated perk for that
for example, pickpocket, along with its normal effect, would also give like +25% hide duration or however you want to grant the bonus
They should buff warlock they are so weak
imo classes should have PASSIVES - rogues for example, should be able to move 10 steps in stealth without a perk as a passive, wtf. they also should be able to not show items on the belt as a passive also.
Warlock's biggest weakpoint is their low spell capacity
Bolt of Darkness is really potent, Blow of Corruption still slaps if you land the headshot
curse warlock is definitely a lot weaker now that Torture Mastery has a downside but that was honestly deserved

I see what you're saying, range is a very potent thing to have, and I do find melee combat a lot more interesting than ranged vs ranged fights
but the less ranged options there are in the game the more powerful ranged options become
imagine if you will, a world where Ranger is the only one with a good ranged option
every team would need a ranger, else an enemy ranger would have not just an ranged advantage but a complete dominance
Fighter didnt have to lose the crossbow, but they have to nerf it to the ground or just put lock it behind a perk just like rogue. Because lets be fair, crossbow deal TOO MUCH damage, even being white/gray.

eh tbf, i also think rangers need a big nerf on dmg, i was saying last night that they shouldnt be able to 1 tap people. ruins the fun in the game when u can be 1 tapped. rangers having 35% slow is a great way to stop people closing the gap, its skillful and u just keep creating distance and have traps. i just dont think they need big dmg.

The point is, isnt about being easy or hard to dodge, the weapon is too strong and any fighter can use it without penalty or drawback. A HS with a crossbow in any class (Except barb) is basically a free win and even If you hit the body, still dealing a lot of damage. After you hit it, you just draw your falchion and 1/2 tap the enemy.
I say the same about falchion, I still say the weapon is too strong having a base 35dmg at gray and almost 40 in green. "The swing is slow" still having a fricking free big chunk of free damage.

The thing is, good is subjective here. Wiz got a buff everyone played wiz. Barb got a buff look at GC warlocks are in GC a ton now too. Barb got buffed so we see less slayer and more pdr. Rangers aren't as common, doesn't mean it's bad just means it doesn't fit the meta. I'm calling the next patch to buff ranger bc it's play rate is low and not bc it's counters excel. That seems to be how they have been balancing

I think the most recent update made them better to play as base kit, starting with an actual melee weapon has improved QoL a lot.
yeah i feel the memory capacity stuff is weird though, mages start with like 22 and can do w/e they want... with no gear. and warlocks and bard have to choose. base warlock can have like 1 spell if u try to go hydrain with 0 extra knowledge.

Warlocks don't have spell slots so that one's not really comparable. Sadly bard is in an awful state of being unable to play anything but highroller

Warlocks can cast as many times as they want. You have spell memory not spell charges. Your limit is your healthpool not an innate number that can't scale

I think something that will need to be changed is the Warlock's ability to heal off their own hydra. Currently warlock can just heal whenever he wants even without any mobs or players and that just kinda feels against the spirit of the class

mannequin items that open up and hold an entire kit. You can click a button to swap your kit with the one on the mannequin. Rare drop, worth billions, I'll never see one if you add it
but caster lock shouldnt really be comparible to wizard no? both need gear. except wizards get 10 spell slots. and a lot of utility, stealth, haste, slow, spells that slow, can break doors etc. the spells themselves also hit for a lot, so wizards time to kill is pretty good.
warlocks can cast lots of the same spells without a limit yes... but it costs health, your options are hydrain, which isnt possible as base kit and scales of magic dmg, if not youre healing for 4 health per hydrain. and with gear the heal is decent and you can stay alive in the zone etc but the time to kill on dots and spells is pretty bad. the range sucks at 7.5m and you can easily cast a spell on yourself which can kill you etc.
This is really funny to me because of how much this game takes inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons
but the modern warlock in Dungeons and Dragons is by far the caster with the least amount of "spell charges"
The difference is tempo. No point in the game will a warlock ever have to sit down.
They won't run out of spells in an extended fight either. And hr fights can be poke fest which leaves wizards defenseless. Also invis is kinda trash

as far as equating it, Warlock in DaD still seems much more competent as a spell slinger than their Dungeons and Dragon's counterpart
a short rest would be like taking a seat while a long rest would be using a campfire, seeing as there are some abilities that require a campfire to recharge like barbarian's Blood Exchange
Warlocks gameplay style is by far the biggest outlier of any class in the game, it's too strange with maghealing in my opinion, healing to full off of a hydra spawn is buggy af

at this point I ponder if Torture Mastery would do better as a stand alone spell rather than a perk that modifies your curses
that would at least give the devs better control over the balance of that avenue of sustain
perhaps as a spell that leaches life each time you damage the target at all but with no DoT itself
that way you either need to land two spells to get the effect or have the option to go in and just hit them for healing

Almost makes me think that maybe then warlock can have a spell that allows him to use his other spells with hp instead of charges, maybe give warlock like low amount of quick restoring charge spells, but a spell that would allow him to convert his hp into charges or something for pvp and combat could make sense
oh, I've got an idea that keeps warlock mechanically unique while addressing the sustain concerns
so what if instead of costing health to cast spells, warlock had a sort of "corruption meter" that filled up as you cast
what happens when that meter gets full could go a few different directions but one way it could go is to keep the ability to cast using health, but considerably increase the health cost with the corruption meter being a buffer you use before you start hurting yourself
Torture mastery can stay as a healing perk, or alternatively be changed so it reduces your corruption meter
but either way, it is either for health sustain or spell sustain but not both
additionally, new perks can use the corruption meter for their effects in some way
perhaps one that gives you a buff the more or less corrupt you are for example "+X spell capacity while bellow 50% corruption" allowing for builds that can bring more powerful spells but has to use those spells at the start of the fight before they become too corrupt
can we also possibly change it so that when a character is in the border of storm, (the white line) the storm doesnt outline the character? im not the best at pvp so sometimes i follow storm and it always gives me away to players because it outlines me. Would this be something that can be changed?

I think 75% would also be okay, but I do also think other spells in PVE are too weak which makes Wizards overly reliant on MM. An elite skeleton takes 3 out of 4 fireballs to kill.
Think a good idea might be to drop monster magic resistance and then have MM be 75% so its less of a shotgun in PVP. Or add another multihitting spell to make wiz pve not entirely about crystal sword and MM.
Ironman queue is a worthwhile test, removing trade not so much. (Ironman queue means allowing people to opt out of trade and only play with other people who opt out)

Yes, but an important distinction to make.
Removing trade would definitely be very detrimental to the game's health, given how wishy washy the playerbase is after being fatigued with so many changes going in different directions, it's best not to do something that could cost the game so many players.
Ironman queue would give people the option to play that way if they want, but also not alienate the existing players who like the game the way it is.

I think it's worth testing to see if there's a high enough amount of people that are interested in playing that way. After all the game is in early access, this is the time for these kinds of tests.

Could we please not go negative with AP in a High-Roller attempt? I think it's harsh enough that you do not get anything if you die. I understand not getting AP for the loot, but not even for the monsters killed? But it's absolutely insane that you pay the antee fee and that's a negative AP.
I'm not good at this game, but I'm trying to have fun but it's really discouraging that I cannot make progress because if I die (and man I die a lot to other players, a rogue kills a wizard with 3 hits, especially funny if they use the CutThroat skill, ranges are faster, shoot faster, heavy hitters kill you with 2 hit). Going backward in AP only supports "professional gamers", who can play games 8 hours a day and can get rather good at it. Casual players (even with a few hours a day) who have a life otherwise (work, family, etc) cannot put in so much time in the game. Why make them leave with a sour taste in the mouth?

1] Make Highroller cost again, gear isnt rewarding to get anymore before you would be so pumped to get rare or higher but now its ehh.
2] Add more icons for ranks, for example Neophyte III should look different then Neo II or I
3] Add rank point loss for early death or something. ranking is kind of pointless since all you gotta do is play alot to rank up

Playing the archer I noticed that when you hit breakable door planks it will usually take 3 hits with the bow or short sword (both grey). But for some reason the dmg resets if you shoot it twice and then hit it with the short sword it doesn't break. Not sure if this is common.

I'm tired of getting 1 tapped by shit ass warlocks using phantomize and BoC as a rogue. Y'all made rogues into the worst class in the game, there is no outcome where I can possibly 1 tap him before he 1 taps me as you guys literally butchered rogue into the friggin ground.
Even if I hide/ambush poison weapon, backstab and headshot someone it won't 1 shot even using a demons glee.
There is no reason BoC should be doing that much damage.
I quit until I see some changes.
NOT TO MENTION, I can't even hit the friggin guy because he is phantomized... while having his BoC active. He doesn't even need to apply it after coming from phantomize LOL
Also, rogue was the most sought after class when the game was popping, Jay brought in so many players with his advertising and the game was at its peak pop then, why shit on the rogues so bad? I feel as if the population was majority rogue players and now the game has less than 15k players concurrently.
Most likely the fall off in population resulted from rogues being completely gutted.
Why grind ruins at all? So I can get gear go crypts and get 1 tapped by BoC? Yeah I think I've had enough of that.

but also BoC shouldn't last longer than phantomize duration

Get a brain and stop holding W agains't a BoC warlock
but yeah, as a rogue you're 100% faster and can just wait out the BoC to wear off. A meleelock running both BoC/Phant can't do anything if you play out of range in the meantime. Just toss some throwing daggers
I had a dream that i found a down at the ruins that brought me into a secret floor. was thinking that it would be cool if there were rotating downs into different floors lol
when did they decrease phantomize duration? BoC actually does last longer by about .5 seconds now. probably not enough time to swing most weapons, but still
too bad you can't even tell if he has BoC popped if he's inside phantomize, idiot.
Sorry, but the game is still far from balanced and its frustrating as ol hell.
looking at it, you'd have time for one BoC attack if it's applied immediately before phantomize and then attacking immediately after exit. not sure when that changed, but you should still be fast enough to avoid that first attack
They made rogues shit so people wouldn't be moaning and groaning about "landmines" but BoC/phantomize is just as bad in certain situations.
and it completely wrecks most classes
agree that oneshots are bad, but you can still see a meleelock coming. at a certain point in time rogues were oneshots with even less counterplay

Green rank should be UNABLE to encounter orange and yellow ranks in lobbies... It is so ridiculous to fight gold armor streamers in more than half my games.
tbh it sounds like your ranger may have been a bigger issue lol. but yes, I understand your frustration. the game is far from balanced. dark reflect especially needs a nerf
because hes a dumb ass but its still enough to piss you off when you try and get between them to save his life as you're suppose the be one of the most leathal melee classes in the game but instead rogue got nerfed into the ground because of everyone crying like im doing right now.
tell me the game wasn't the most populated when JayGriffyuh was posting all the rogue vids, basically the reason why everyone bought the game in the first place imo
