@dawn grotto What is the possibility of player created maps that can be officially accepted and put into the game? I would love to make a map for Dark and Darker.
If you put a ton of time and effort into the game it only makes sense that youโll be stronger. Couple that with good playing technique and youโll be pretty unbeatable. Those guys are going to be on the top of the leaderboard and you just had the misfortune to run into them

Implement a "kill count bracket" system matchmaking, each player you kill grants 1 point, resets when you die. for 3v3 takes the the avg of each player

I run gear when I'm in trios and I usually play solo in crypts to practice pvp, with either a few pieces or default.
Because I dont blame other people when I am bad, I try to get better.
If you have the gear you have the gold to go do high rollers you wanna fight people cool but it isnt about a fair fight if you go into goblin caves regularly its about being to scared to loose your good gear

I play HR everyday
All game modes are to get loot for every player. the high roller is for those who have gotten good gear and the gold to do so lol if you want a real fight thats where the people are going to be who can give it to you
And it's actually is not the best place to get loot rn because the state of the gear balance rn is terrible you just gonna get smoked by the players that spend 10 hours on trade per day

I would really like to see some sort of rank based match making like LoL or OW. I think the game is just much more fun when your competitors are at least in your weight class so to speak. It would also give some sense of skill progression and recognition

Sometimes people forget how fantomyse is a thing and how fast they are WHILE casting their curses, Sure you do have some time to get to them but you have to tank them to get close just for them to reposition and then have to tank them once more to get close, It would be fine if it was done there but they can always wip out a halbeard or a long sword to finish you off once you are in melee range
i think that last thing we need for a game that is this terribly optimized is idea's for events they need to focus on fixing things asap before this game digs a hole into the ground and buries itself

well i could repost what i said last night but i don't want to you can type my name into the search bar and find it. i don't know if you noticed but this discord used to have every channel jam packed now they are lucky if it gets over 50% full clearly you can see the game is losing interest a lot of it has to do with its terrible optimization.

My buds dropped because of gear disparity and getting rolled after, they thought those sounded cool and would get interest back. Anecdotal is all any of us in this chat have. Optimization is a broad umbrella, why not just say fix the "problems", whatever those are
well it's fine and dandy that you don't care but if nothing is done quicky this game will remain in a dead hole as they decided to release it as early access and rarely do games released in early access make a come back after digging itself into a hole so if the main problems are not nipped in the butt this game won't be around long.
- Nerf ranged weapons already 5 out of 8 classes in your game can use crossbows/bow without perks but you just leave 3 classes out to hang high and dry (rogue,cleric,barb) seems really unfair in a fight when you get shot once and lose 50% of your health pool. i did not know i was playing call of duty.
- Warlock needs a nerf this guy is broken when it comes to fighting almost everyone in the game but takes a crap on all squishy classes even with base gear guy will 2 shot you.
- Wizards are becoming too busted late game being able to have double memory 10 spells is broken as all hell. Drink up some clarity potions and campfire your life away fix that.
- Rogue's are in a crap stat as of current they have 16 perks everyone cried when they could equip a hand crossbow and you made him handicapped with needing a perk to carry one this guy has way to many useless perks that need to be combined.
- i do not know who at iron mace has a hard on for the ranger but nerf this guys damage already guy is still 2 shotting every squishy in the game.
- Your trade chat is terrible it was better when it was one single channel instead you split it up into a crap show were people have to look into multiple different trade channels to find gear all classes can wear. honestly at this point with all the gold selling and crap you guys might just be better off shutting down trade as all it does is promote bot's/people trading to streamers and buying gear for all these people to become broken in game.
- Everyone has been asking for more storage for gold and instead you add some tedious alterntive invovling crafting. Just add a bigger bag already that cost more gold how hard can that really be.
- You are bloating your game up with all this crafting materials and expect us to put it were extactly? if you are going to head down this roadyou need to put in a second stash tab that will only allow you to store crafting materials.
- Honestly your game has some terrible optimization. i dont know who at iron mace decided to add in bard in a game with the crap optimization you guys have. You guys have nerfed the crap out of this guy and he is still broken. You would think this would tell you something delete this guy already. Instead of adding in someone who is game breaking you guys should be focused on how to make gear in the game less broken by lowering stats on green/blue/purple/orange gear.
Sounds like you're on board with something like the blue shards to buy inventory tabs/space... Did anyone enjoy the blue limit on GC? I thought it was too high, but that should take out gear disparity for most if lowered to green. It seems to me after that, it's a matter of strategy with some advantages to other classes in certain scenarios. I've taken down rangers with bard and rogue. I'm terrible with my cleric, but there are some BA's with those as well

I think clerics need to be nerfed in some areas such as the 2 shot magi dmg build and the heals might be a bit too powerful for the time you have in a match. The buffs are also really strong as well.
Rangers should not be able to 1 tap fully geared wizards with 1 headshot.
Barbarians with no movement speed bonus on their kit should not be able to reach 350 movement speed with fists and his movement speed skill.

Nah. That's still Ranger. A Ranger can onetap Wizards and Warlocks, and undergeared Rogues and Bards at more range than the Warlock has.

rangers dont have infinite heals, also when they are caught they cant just go invincible and run right away. not saying they dont need to be nerfed but warlock is still far worse
They do have self-healing available to them. And, tbh, if you're a Ranger in a 3 stack that ever gets caught in melee range, either your team lost the fight or you're a terrible Ranger.
Ranger is by far the strongest class in the game. Even with damage drop off, they can still onetap multiple classes at ranges those classes can't even come close to dealing damage at.
they are limited to three heals if they run that skill. were a warlock can just spawn a hydra and heal off of it. warlock wins the healing game. the only thing a ranger has on the warlock is distance of the damage they can do. i have run down many rangers as a fighter and a barb. warlocks can keep me away by blocking doors with hydras, phatomizing etc.
There is a very easy way to address multiple issues with the game. Separate matchmaking pools for people who buy into the Trading Guild, and those who donโt. First, this alleviates a lot of the issues regarding gear limits. Second, it nullifies a good portion of the Chinese gold farmers that are plaguing HRs. Third, it separates, at least to some degree, higher and lower level players without implementing SBMM. Thoughts?

Add a NPC or the function to the Treasurer in his "Services" area to convert our Gold Coin in "GOLD BAR" (Not Ingot), each Gold Bar would be equal to 1000G or 5000g and would stack until 5. Wouldnt be charged any tax to convert the gold, but to turn the gold bar in Gold Coin again would be charged a 5% of the value to help with gold sink in the game.

Remove the Weapon Damage stats from any gear, keep it only in Weapons and Rings, this way the game will be less focused in stack those stats and reduce the "one-hit-kill" meta we do have currently, giving more space to fights duration and time to reaction.

Add some personality to our current Rarity System, some ideas I have is to didnt allow to any stats in all any rarity. For example, Weapon Damage +3 should only be possible in legendary, Rare Gear should only be possible have Weapon Damage +1 and Epic Gear +2, we really need to have a disparity in gear power other than the numbers of rolls. This way epic and legendary gear really would be expensive and worth to use/craft.

Add new craftable gear, theres too many craft material that didnt have any use, being able to craft gear with what you found in the dungeon should help new players and also movement the craft market, aswell giving another option to gear that we can use in our runs.

Give new functions to Silver Coin, let us exchange for supply like Bandage or Potions. Honestly Silver Coin currently is just "gold that occupies another slot", If you remove them from the game nobody would even feel they're missing, because theres no use or funcion to be used, so please, lets us use the Silver Coin for something.
can we get some sort of tavern area where you can just test gear/ fix stats to whatever you want so you can visually understand what the stats are doing. like if i found a felling axe with 3 agi how much faster can i actually swing it, no body kn ows
I feel like removing the trade channel for gear would solve a lot of problems. You wouldn't be able to just go in and buy +strength stacked gear. And if you wanted it you'd have to go farm it and earn it, I'd be much happier knowing I died to someone who worked for the gear vs buying max stats and rolling normal lobbies. It'd make high rollers worth doing to for better gear.
I'm pretty sure if you split the game into two modes (one with trade market, one without), it will make gold farming more profitable for chinese hackers
- new non-trader (ironman) game mode rewards grinding for loot heavily, thus removing those grinders from the trader pool
- good gear becomes more scarce in the market
- chinese farmers/exploiters take advantage of market scarcity to profit more
also, part of the reason why the farmers and exploiters are having such an easy time is because of the small playerbase. this would shrink it even more making it even easier for them
It also becomes substantially easier to track and ban offenders and remove said gear. It also just makes it innately more risky by entering. The Chineese dominated flipping market goes away.

events should be more community based, not locked to "proven troubadours"
they talked about getting rid of random modifiers, but what about just making good modifiers rarer, and modifiers not even guaranteed. for example, a green piece has a 40% of getting a modifier, while a purple has an 80% for the first modifier, then it calculates 60% for the 2nd, and then a 40% for the third, or just make every modifier on the purple have a 40% of appearing, making purple most likely have 1-2. after this, modifiers are defenitely on a board for what is most wanted or least wanted in a sense. weapon damage is serverely saught after, so, i devised a modifier rarity system, which is also locked behind tiers of loot. a green can have up to common modifiers. (the modifiers being common [+1 wpn damage] rare [+2 wpn damage] and epic [+3 weapon dmg] the rates for each being affected by the color of the item itself. [at purple, common ab. 60%, rare at 30%, and epic at 10%) making good roles rarer to get on top of getting a good item on top of the already % of even getting those modifiers, these could also make crafting more desirable, having different rates for modifiers, making crafting once again king. this could make getting a good piece even more desirable and in my opinion, even grant the option to make BETTER modifiers, due to the fact getting those exact supreme damage numbers on every piece very rare. thank you

respectfully, gear based matchmaking is a terrible idea, whgats the point of getting better loot if the second you pass a threshold you go against better players, and it keeps going up and up and up. making it so that better gear NEVER gives you an edge against anyone, for pvp, its cool, for the most important aspect of the game which is loot its completely a terrible addition, my suggestion above is me trying to push the skill gap to be lessened while not ruining the aspect of better loot.
Whats the point in picking up "better gear" if it isnt perfect seeing as thats what youll be going against where youre forced to play it. Also the change probably would have been way better recieved if they didnt start a leaderboard at the SAME TIME so half of the people who dont wanna sweat are forced to just get run down by the same comp every game

Chinese farmers wouldn't have a market to trade their farm? They'd have to take the Risk of bringing in the items sold while also risk losing them just to trade them to a player. Sure they could get on the same team and trade it in game, but now you have to risk it all and extract. In my opinion it hurt them more and Increase the risk. First of, if this universe is based of dungeons and dragons their is no "God" or "Satan" and second red portals spawn in groups of three while blues in 1 so how would people be tricked by swapping portals
well its not used maliciously, its more so if theres no more reds or no more blues and u need the other, to save YOURSELF, and it could be an expensive ability, like revival on cleric
So now you're saying instead of just disgusing a portal a portal as its opposite, it actually changes what the portal leads, revival on cleric only costs 8 spell slots and any decent cleric kit is able to run it comftorably so that means if this was a thing if a party brought a single druid and gave him 2 campfires he could just turn 3 reds into 3 blues and escape

They ban gold sellers as soon as they can. When they ban them they could take the extra step of banning anyone that received a certain amount of gold from them.

Problem is that someone innocent can be caught between on this. I played tibi and Cipsoft tried to do this method, many innocent accounts got unfairly ban, people who bought the gold can trade with you and you can be banned even knowing that the gold is from gold sellers.
They'll get a warning temp ban and learn not to accept large amounts of gold from strangers in trade.

If you ban people for receiving large amounts of gold or valuable items for nothing in return, you will catch innocent people getting stuff from their friends. If you narrow it down only to people who haven't played together at least a few times, you'll still catch innocent people because sometimes folks in the class discussion channels will give stuff away for free, especially towards the end of wipes. It demands manual review which is more than IM can do right now so another solution is needed.
I think the more efficient solution would be to look into people coming into servers that are halfway around the world, in the dead hours for that server, in order to lobby snipe high roller crypts with a bunch of other people from the same place.
You wouldn't ban people for receiving lots of stuff for free because friends will give people stuff. First you verify that the person is a gold seller and then after that go and temp ban everyone that received lots of gold from them.

one example, was tryna explore crypts solo on rogue and learn the map. i get to the center of the maze for the first time and find two golden chest and a lions head and when i leave i get shot in the head by a ranger. no surprise since the hallway to leave is about as big as my member

The maze is honestly quite nice for solo rogues as it's difficult for teams to push into you efficiently with the narrow hallways and traps everywhere, but you have to be able to actually hold a corner for it to go in your favor.

Every team would run a druid in high roller because thats a guaranteed 3 blues if they find a single batch of reds which are very commonly found in high roller as long as the druid has an above average kit
i see no issue with that tbh, and also it would make a good counter to teams who ONLY play for pvp, giving pve players more means of escape, it would actually help with many issues, including people switching to the druid rather than only bard or cleric

also they could implement a little more "lore" into it describing high roller portals to be stronger in magic or something, disabling the ability to transforming them, and only allowing the ability in normies, but tbf i dont even think thats necessary, based on what i said i feel like itd already be difficult to pull off a full red transformation
or you can use that ability to disable a single batch of reds (red to blue), so if you wanna go bossing solo you can attempt to remove some red portals and increase your chances of having hell to yourself, at once again, a very high risk

I think that the weapon damage add should be removed from all other pieces of gear besides weapons themselves. For my reasoning; I just got into the Ruins Normal and had a cleric in full bis gear all purples and the lightbringer flanged mace legendary. Although I was wearing nothing he hit me in the feet and killed me in 1 hit literally just one and he was not buffed in any way that was visible, so I inspected his gear all of his gear was +2 weapon damage on every single piece of gear at the very least he had 20 added weapon damage a mace with 38 base damage.

or make gear that was traded for have flavor text saying "traded for this? Y/N" and if its Y then you get sent to the gulag
i think for a growing player base there should be a way to practice mobs without the pvp risk and a way to make a small amount of gold. the limited drop rate and gold per game will not make it better that normal online so once people feel confident they will enter the normal player pool but at the moment its very hard for people to learn and there so many different learning tiers.
ie you need to learn the pve, the map, different classes, how stats work, what stats to look for, building a kit, learning how to use said kit, all while practicing with most likely more failures than success

Chain Lightning is not hard to hit at all, that's why it's frequently run. Especially good vs teams but you can also use it on dead bodies or other entities and have it chain to players.
Zap is actually stronger than Curse of Pain. It has the same scaling but more initial damage and it's longer range.

The problem is they're a swiss army knife that can do pretty much everything in the game exceedingly well right now.
As you outlined blow of corruption is currently broken, they can deny area harder than anyone in the game with Hydra, and they can heal up to full with 2 spell casts out of nowhere by just self casting on their hydra.
gear caps shouldnt exist, instead gear needs to be rebalanced and we don't need anything similar to found in raid status has that just makes things more complicated than needed. simplicity is always best

I still think the sanest way to handle gear is to make it so you have to pay to get into normals if you have too much gear, but make HR free once you're at that point

I think it will be abused by the same strategy people use now by stacking 1 stat (in this case strength ) which would make those percentages advantageous for higher health folks and less effective for lower hp folks. It caters to only certain classes inherently, thatโs why they did flat healing and made quality heal โfasterโ
Would be nice to see leaderboards taken out completely. I know it would make the sweats that play for 16 hours a day cry, but it kills the game when you have a juicer streamer team that mows through the map in 3 minutes and rolls every team they come across and they donโt even loot bodies half the time because they want more kills. Watched repoze do this for 15 minutes last wipe and now I donโt even bother watching him anymore because of how boring it is when they 2 tap teams

I'm the first to admit that I am not great in this game. But tonight I've been on a loosing streak. If I was not facing purple gear players, I was facing teaming in the Goblin Caves. I think the matchmaking could use some improvements and teaming should be punishable as cheating. I do not mind if people team up to kill the Troll or something, but actively attacking others together, healing each other (Cleric) really puts solo players in a disadvantage (on the solo server, lol). One more thing: Warlock's phase ability. It says something like it reduces magic resistance. I am not even sure they take magic damage while phasing...
Organic teaming is not punishable and nothing is stopping you from trying to rizz up the lobby and find a buddy in the goblin caves. Nothing's stopping people from betraying 'friends' either.
As for Phantomize, you can take damage if you are in a hitbox like Fireball's splash damage or if you walk over a trap that has been activated by something else (traps will not activate by a phantomized warlock walking into their trigger zone but may still hit them if something else triggers them). Projectiles do not seem to make contact at all, only AoE effects.
Yes, I see in-match teaming and then people betraying one another, but I suspect there are teaming as well where friends try to get into the same match and then play together. I'm not sure how easy is to achieve this, I never tried myself (we just play regular multiplayer maps).

It'd need to be a lot more than 100 because even with severely limited inventory space a juicer could still recoup that fairly easily by picking only the best treasures or taking a high-value item off of a victim. The idea is to dis-incentivize normals by making the reward as low as the risk to the point where you're losing money if you keep doing it. At the same time, you incentivize highroller by making it free once you hit that gear level.

would make sense, but I think that then rations would have to have an hefty healing reduction or have their ammount reduced to 1-2, both have upsides and downsides to their healed amount, usage etc so a 1-1 can't be done really

I don't think HR should be free at any time, the incentive to go into HR is already there, I go in naked and come out with a full kit and gear to sell worth 1000+ half the time. I think that normal lobbies should have less portals than HR, since grey gear timmies have little to nothing to lose in not finding a portal and if multiple juicers join a normal lobby looking to pub stomp, some 5k+ kits can be lost instantly to the darkness.
because the balancing we saw that was reverted wasn't good, they basically removed itemazation from items and only addressed half of the issues, it's cool to nerf damage so people don't get one shot, but they left healing, buffs and armour rating in the same place so that would lead to people shifting from stacking damage to stacking pdr, have fun killing an 85%pdr figther with a cleric and bard when you are dealing single digits of damage

I am trying to understand Ironmace's reasoning behind removing the gear cap in normal lobbies. I thought that the game felt the best it had felt for a while after they had implemented that change. It was far from perfect given that crazy stats could still be had on rares, but it still felt like fights and the overall experience was better than before. I personally don't mind running into teams with purples/oranges because my friends and I are good enough to take them down if we play smart but that is far from the experience new players are having. I've befriended a few timmies in Ruins who think the game is impossible because they are getting one shot by a crossbow from 50m away or hit with a single curse of pain and dropping. I think we need some sort of gear cap for normals (whether different or the same as previous) and more incentive for Chads to be in high roller. One of my thoughts is that instead of having HR be for the leaderboards, they create a ranked/unranked mode. ranked has higher tier loot and its the only way to get on leaderboards and normals have less loot/maybe less mobs and are for people to gear up and prepare for ranked mode. Thoughts all?

the problem with that is that the game already struggles to get enough people into an HR lobby, its very common to see them not fill up, adding a semi-HR queue I don't think will help move enough people into HR more than it will divide people between 2 hr queues.
any decision to add a new map or queue needs to be tougth about heavily because the games population is not big and if you played when pre-15 lobbies were around it was noticeable that you were waiting longer on normal games and would even start with lobbies not full during peak eu time
I understand and that's why I propose we tweak the idea of HR entirely to something more along the lines of a ranked mode. It can have more difficult mobs/better loot but maybe not in the same sense that it currently does. I think the entry cost of gold is a unappealing to people for some reason but being able to increase their rank might do so. (These arguments are also assuming we are moving into a full release/back on steam environment where the game is more accessible to the public). I think that changing the queues to unranked/ranked could help encourage the better players to go into ranked while leaving normal for the new players/less skilled to enjoy themselves.
Assuming post steam when numbers are surely higher it could work pretty well.
One of my favorite things of when hr was free was that that gave people a chance to learn the maps and fighting nightmares, but there was the issue of people now just solo ratting it for money at no risk which hurts the economy
The devs making the hr maps playable in normals was a good change and yours would help with dealing with the pve aspects of it with the solo rats no being has much a problem

ive seen like maybe 1 team in full bis gear above blue rarity its not that common unless the game is wiping, they removed normal dungeons gold hordes so there is nothing for geared teams to do on normals besides run you down they might barely be able to make the gold back that the gear cost

Gear cap is meaningless because its not the root of the problem, if you have an engine issue, you dont replace your oil, you go and check whats wrong with the engine and fix it, the reason people ask for gear cap is mainly because gear right now is stupid powerfull at high levels, but we know that balacing changes are to come, they reverted the changes because they were done hastlly and werent complete(for example they changed damage only, never touching on healing and pdr which was the reason they reverted it has at an high end of gearing fights were boring because you cant outdps the cleric healing a pdr fighter with second wind)
the gear cap was simply a test that proved that it had no effect has someone in a bis blue will still pub stomp easily specially if they are half decent, the damage coming from gear is far too strong agsinst base kits and thats what needs to be addressed, a gear cap will only create a false sense of security and delay changes that need to come early in development rather than later

Give the community a roadmap, so this way we can at least have something to waiting for instead being at darkess without knowing what devs plans to the game at long run, the game is in development, but give your players some "credibility" proofing that the devs have something in mind to the future or at least expose what are the plans.

Add a NPC or the function to the Treasurer in his "Services" area to convert our Gold Coin in "GOLD BAR" (Not Ingot), each Gold Bar would be equal to 1000G or 5000g and would stack until 5. Wouldnt be charged any tax to convert the gold, but to turn the gold bar in Gold Coin again would be charged a 5% of the value to help with gold sink in the game.

Remove the Weapon Damage stats from any gear, keep it only in Weapons and Rings, this way the game will be less focused in stack those stats and reduce the "one-hit-kill" meta we do have currently, giving more space to fights duration and time to reaction.

Add some personality to our current Rarity System, some ideas I have is to didnt allow to any stats in all any rarity. For example, Weapon Damage +3 should only be possible in legendary, Rare Gear should only be possible have Weapon Damage +1 and Epic Gear +2, we really need to have a disparity in gear power other than the numbers of rolls. This way epic and legendary gear really would be expensive and worth to use/craft.

Add new craftable gear, theres too many craft material that didnt have any use, being able to craft gear with what you found in the dungeon should help new players and also movement the craft market, aswell giving another option to gear that we can use in our runs.

Give new functions to Silver Coin, let us exchange for supply like Bandage or Potions. Honestly Silver Coin currently is just "gold that occupies another slot", If you remove them from the game nobody would even feel they're missing, because theres no use or funcion to be used, so please, lets us use the Silver Coin for something.

Being able to break barrels should be determined by the STREGNTH attribute. WILL should be able to affect the amount of faded health a player gets when hurt. KNOWLEDGE should affect how detailed the mini map is and RESORCFULLNESS should affect inventory size. Just ideas not really super invested in these ideas just poped in the noodle.

Add more buying options on the merchants, add quests, add more crafting options, nerf the amount of things found in chests, increase the amount of money you get from selling weapons and gears to merchants, and remove trading. Then after all of that make it so the first game you play with starter loot matches you with other starter loot players then after that one game put everyone in the same matchmaking

The wizard disconnect people experience is insane.
I see people talk about how broken rangers and warlocks are in terms of DPS, because they can output massive amounts of DPS and in the case of warlocks they have a ton of utility that make them incredibly strong in every other category.
Yet those same people will often say that wizards are underpowered. Like, no... wizards actually have the highest burst DPS in the game at high geared levels. It's just a harder class to play than ranger or warlock so you won't often see that as much as you do them.
Wizard is unbalanced when geared with zap and chain, ranger is unbalanced early and mid game when people dont have 80% pdr
Wizard is strong at any level, it just requires more skill. Even when ungeared a wizard is perfectly capable of killing every class in the game.
The chain lightning claim is pretty false though. I mean unless you're talking about a 60k set or something its not true, and even that wouldn't onetap someone in decent blues.
It's a bit exaggerated, but I would say a high geared wizard can 70-80% chunk an entire team in terms of their health.

Sure like I said, CL can be strong if used perfectly with great gear no doubt. It's niche but potentially very powerful
It also is strong if two low gear teams fight, it still deals 50 damage at no gear
for fighters that take the heavy projectile reduction gear (the stuff that reduces magic resist) it's possible to boost damage taken by a fair bit, like say 50%
the original question was about zap, which could easily deal 40+11 damage at the moment. I suspect at those values that you would be seeing a wizard two tap unless you truly tanked your magic resist so low that they got +100% damage.
yo watchall think of this:
they talked about getting rid of random modifiers, but what about just making good modifiers rarer, and modifiers not even guaranteed. for example, a green piece has a 40% of getting a modifier, while a purple has an 80% for the first modifier, then it calculates 60% for the 2nd, and then a 40% for the third, or just make every modifier on the purple have a 40% of appearing, making purple most likely have 1-2. after this, modifiers are defenitely on a board for what is most wanted or least wanted in a sense. weapon damage is serverely saught after, so, i devised a modifier rarity system, which is also locked behind tiers of loot. a green can have up to common modifiers. (the modifiers being common [+1 wpn damage] rare [+2 wpn damage] and epic [+3 weapon dmg] the rates for each being affected by the color of the item itself. [at purple, common ab. 60%, rare at 30%, and epic at 10%) making good roles rarer to get on top of getting a good item on top of the already % of even getting those modifiers, these could also make crafting more desirable, having different rates for modifiers, making crafting once again king. this could make getting a good piece even more desirable and in my opinion, even grant the option to make BETTER modifiers, due to the fact getting those exact supreme damage numbers on every piece very rare.
I really dislike this, because it's the same patch but even less of the playerbase is in the pool that can/will grind for extreme advantage in fights
i get that, but even then purples and legendaries will have not as stacked of good roles anymore, and considering theyre more common in high roller, it can incentivize more people to go there considering the greens and blues theyd get off normie runs dont have that good of a chance of having those good roles, making the loot pool more shiny even if a purple in my suggestion would now be on par with a green-blue item now
plus this doesnt mean we cant also implement something like wpn damage only being on rings and weapons too
whatever hoops and how ever much you spam the rand function, the game is ultimately played after all of that, when someone has safely bought a full perfect set of gear
yeah, but instead of spending the 1 key for an amazing set, the same set would be worth sm more, thats why im saying implementing rarities to those pieces, so that stuff like wpn damage becomes significantly more rare, making even a +2 wpn damage piece go from the 400g it is now to like 1k instead, sure that would mean rich people get it easier, but also means they cant just be buying them over and over considering even for them it would leave a heavy mark in the bank, making other enchants get used more
but I should be clear, I don't think my ideal is what the majority of players want either. I don't personally need any player psychology tricks to make me go loot the dungeon, that's fun for me and I'm going to do it anyway. If all gear had no rarity and absolutely fixed 'enchantments/modifiers' and you just built whatever set of gear you liked the effects of, that would be great on my end.
I understand many players feel they need to be kept on a treadmill by improving their power inside the game, even if it reduces the challenge or interest in the game. I fact in some cases precisely because it allows them to ignore difficulty and just keep playing the same way.
that is good, everyone has their own playstyle, i personally just love this game for the chance of getting that extra spicy piece or weapon
yeah indeed, there is a unique feeling to finding something that's just set to proportionally silly values and trivializes the game. Dark and Darker also promises to randomly kill you so that you lose it, and can have that feeling again without winning for long enough to get bored of it.
I think even for that camp, it doesn't help to have layers of randomization making good stuff rare, though it does focus the emotional response of fear and elation the more grinding time and randomness is involved in finding absurd advantage.
I think though, that feeling of rarity is best communicated without the trappings of mechanical advantage tacked on. That advantage is one way to get players to desire equipment, but with the game's full loot attrition destroying items pretty well, I think gear has enough utility to be desirable even if 'gearing up' doesn't take hours of expert grinding and trading.
Personally I think the game needs some prestige elements for both PvP and PvE, objectives players can try to accomplish within matches that reward them with any of these things:
Cosmetics
Custom basic loadouts
Merchant upgrades
Powerups for just the current match
Narrative, or even being added to a live narrative
"Fun" gear/consumables, but with less power than standard gear (think current uniques but instead of more base stats they have less, retaining their unique effects)

You guys should make a monk class after the druid, he should focus a balance of strength and agility ,he could have class specific gloves that add weapon damage(and maybe movesets)for punching, on top of quarter staff and maybe a sickle and chain for some range(make it low damage of course), and maybe attack skills like kicking and stuff, i would say buffs or healing with a mantra but thats kinda already covered by other classes, in anycase i think itd be cool to have a class that utilizes punching and i think itd fit in perfectly
I'm sure they'll use some sort of Ki system with the Monk Class, for buffs and heals. Or maybe they'll give it their own twist who knows
I think making them too wizard like with spells would be a little redundant, just attack skills should do the trick, but id be happy if a monk that focuses punching came to be in any form
What do you guys think about adding constant visual/sound effect that tells you where the portals are when you're close to them? Right now it feels like it's too hard to find portals if the final circles are in some specific rooms(those with multiple floors/corners and full of mobs).
I like the portals as they are tbh but I'd be happy with a change from the "zone". Maybe like a monster house system.

you bring up a very fair point, currently rangers and any magic damage is insanely strong compared to everyone else, prime example true magic damage a warlock can curse of pain you with 10 true magic damage and phantomize away and it will kill you, theres videos of the rogue being able to hit up to 196 head shots, the ranger can do what ever it wants by simply shooting put bow away run, then theres the wizard still invis hasting in 1-2 shotting people
Yah the current power from gear is far too much but this is what I think the partial wipe we are getting will address.
The way the balanced at the start of the wipe was bad because it only addressed damage but didnโt touch oh armour rating, buffs and healing which made it so supports more than ever was needed, but with no way to scale dmg high level fights were a slog.
Sdf after the second balance patch this wipe said that armour rating would be next but then they rolled back the changes.
I think itโs a pretty safe bet that most of the change we will see with this partial wipe are gonna be around balancing and the goal for the mid November full wipe will be a content update, from the timeline sdf laid out, quests line up with it and also we know they are working on a new map and as per last update would be ready around the end of October
Added a suggestion to the website about procedural map generation. Yes it might be too soon. But also Yes, playing a new session/playthrough will feel a bit more fresh every time, I'd love to see it.
Every modifiers give +1 max , the diff being the rariy of the item , that could decrease the gear diff

just an idea, you can put up a bounty of yourself with a gear set. Other players can challenge you for your gear, both players accept like a trade but its a 1v1 arena colosseum duel to the death. Winner takes the other persons gear set (you can put gold in too)

I separated the stats based on my own opinions but it could be done using wipe data to see which stats are actually primary, secondary, tertiary. Why not the attributes are pretty bare bones and fleshing them out maybe good plus for the barrel thing it's pretty silly that there's an exception that rogue can't break them.
I would like some sort of Queue system instead of the gathering hall to be implemented, games like Hunt Showdown have had good success with this. Thereโs only like 30 people in the gathering hall and a good chunk of them are just teamkillers. Also relying on discord just to find a team is lame af.
Please make the first death swarm circle fill the whole map. Having to struggle to keep up with it if you spawn outside in base gear feels terrible

@vale igloo i did look at your post and your spread sheet. I dont believe your idea is a bad idea but would have to be tested for a extended period of time. Most players would enjoy what your suggesting. The only problem is how would that effect the economy if we saw gear overall being more "relevant" and "consistent" on average. Not a bad idea though, props to you for putting together a whole spread sheet as well=P Cant give a definite answer without testing but i dont hate it ๐

This is pretty nice but I think it would be really cool if a perk was added to allow Warlocks to use Evil Eye for an extended amount of time. It would really help with getting cinematic shots for video purposes.

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this is a good idea, but I've been seeing that a lot of new players or just timmies have been complaining about the game not being playable right now before wipe because everyone they come across is uber geared. What if they had an End of Wipe Event where all the gear you can think of is available to purchase from vendors and a super discounted price, and make the last few days/week just a full on cage match. I think that sounds just stupid fun, tbh. And it hurts nothing because wipe is literally just a few days away, so all of it would be meaningless fun. (not this wipe, obviously. Futrure wipes) (Edit: and it doesn't even have to be the gear thing. just some really fun end-of-wipe-event that gets every player involved and having fun)

High roller should be free, and high roller should be the only place you are allowed to use gear and can find gear besides merchants. Normals is for nakeds that wanna do gold runs with the only loot being sellables. Normals should give 150g on average. High roller should increase to 24 players with 24 portals total. There we go pvp mayhem that everyone enjoys with loot and inferno would always be filled with atleast 2 teams. If there is 6 players left at any time all blue portals should dissapear and in the same place it should spawn red portals forcing atleast 2 teams per game to go inferno. Portals should be easier to find and barely anyone should die to dark swarm cause a portal wasnt found. For every player that dies after 2nd last and last circle 5 seconds should be added to the circle timer. So... how would one get good gear to go to HR?? Just limiting normals to sellables would mean that no one could gear up before going to HR and when you do go to HR, you get crushed by anyone who has been able to make it out. Also, normals would have no PVP incentive if you can't loot good gear. Nobody would risk their sellables on a chance that the group you're fighting would have enough sellables to make it worth fighting

Your pvp incentive is higher in in high roller ofc. But the pvp incentive still exist, your inventory can hold 250g, but the point is on average people should find 150g. If you kill someone you get out with more gold.
I feel like your suggestion is to just change the core nature of the game to make it less of "An unforgiving hardcore fantasy FPS dungeon PvPvE adventure." (description for the DaD website). The issue with Normals is not that you can find gear, it's gear balance. Once gear is more balanced, we'll start seeing skill become more of a factor in PVP encounters.

Right... but that description is of the game as a whole. It's not meant to be easy. I'm not saying there aren't issues with balance or that circle timings may need adjusted but both Normals and HR are supposed to be hard. As I understand it, the intention of HR is to be a high risk/high reward version of Normals. Also, I think the reason HR is dead is that the rewards don't outweigh the risks of running into players using exploits (teaming with a solo who dies then spectates the other teams for info) or flat out cheaters who are gold farming. The fee for HR actually HELPS make PVP in HR more interesting because, as the earlier test with free HR, it discourages naked rats and means most people who play HR will have decent gear and be a good reward.
Yo listen Devs. I understand wanting to test and balance your game. but yall have been changing way too much. the game was at its peak in playtest 3 if you ask the majority/remainder of your long-standing player base.

Actuall Suggestion: Make a community event which is actually playable for people other then preselected individuals or random few people out of all the players. Like a "Loot-Goblin" type new mob that spawns around different times / maps randomly. Or some PvP Only collectible that can be traded for a cosmetic skin or something in the sorts of that. At the moment all so called " Community events" were and to this point still are very poorly plannend. The "Warden" Event blew completely for obvious reasons and wasnt accessible for 99.9% of the Players. The Upcoming "Tournament" where there is no way to enter it (Like what dafq??) also will not make anyone want to play the game more. "Community" - events should be about the community, and let them take a part in it... Maybe consider something like that, thanks.
the difference in tarkov is no matter how good of gear someone has a timmy or noob can kill them with flesh rounds to the arms/legs, there is nothing to compensate the gear difference in DaD like there is in tarkov. not to mention in tarkov if someone isnt wearing a face shield you can one shot them in the face with a pistol, but again nothing in DaD can act the same like that in tarkov. similar genre completely different concepts
I do agree with that. The warden event was pretty terrible and the tournament is definitely less about actual players and more about streamers. An event that the average player can participate in would definitely be better.

well, it's not the direction the devs want to take the game.
they want to reign in the ammount of added damge you are able to stack on gear to balance ttk, which right now is too low.
bringing the top end and low end close together will still allow for you to be plenty powerfull but will also make it that someone lower geared than you can ave a fighting change, IMO this would make the game much more enjoyable because right now unless im facing equally geared people everything dies in 3 hits

bro what i have clips of me in lvl 5 surviving 14 shots from lvndmark (one of the top streamers when i played idk ab now?) and i killed him in ab half the shots. (we barrel stuffed each other) there is definitely shit like that in tarkov. but yeah sure. compare wearing no helmet and swallowing a bullet to ppl grinding for 12 hrs straight to get in cracked purple gear

even the best helmet in the game can easily be one tapped by someone risking 50k roubles
At the start of the game teams can just stay 50 feet away and shoot each other over and over or you can just rush a team as a fighter in the later stages to rush as a fighter you need buffs and it still might not work or if u stay at range and blast from 50 feet chances are someone's gonna die so you have to change your gameplay to account for this which makes the game more fun to me
Double hp values. The devs dislike healing as they want combat to feel more detrimental and the player base is suffering from feeling like garbage when they get one tapped by lobsters.
Double base and scaling hp, without changing literally anything else. No more one tap headshots (unless the most extreme situations), fights last longer in general allowing for more skill to be able to shine through AND healing will mean intrinsically less so their idea that fights should be scary and have detrimental effects will shine through.
Just an idea but seriously I think it would resolve 90% of the discourse around gear and certain classes being broken as the time to kill would at least double for most classes.
If you survived 14 shots one of two things were happening. Either he was using flesh rounds and hitting armor which does virtually no damage or one of you were experiencing extreme desync. But like I said there is virtually no way for a noob/Timmy to counter a geared person in DaD like in tarkov unless they run ranger and you get stuck in a trap. Even then if you have 80% PDR the ranger wonโt be able to kill you most of the time. Also hit reg in tarkov is iffy 70% of the time. Trust me I know how it feels. I have 2300 hours in tarkov

Give the community a roadmap, so this way we can at least have something to waiting for instead being at darkess without knowing what devs plans to the game at long run, the game is in development, but give your players some "credibility" proofing that the devs have something in mind to the future or at least expose what are the plans.

Add a NPC or the function to the Treasurer in his "Services" area to convert our Gold Coin in "GOLD BAR" (Not Ingot), each Gold Bar would be equal to 1000G or 5000g and would stack until 5. Wouldnt be charged any tax to convert the gold, but to turn the gold bar in Gold Coin again would be charged a 5% of the value to help with gold sink in the game.

Remove the Weapon Damage stats from any gear, keep it only in Weapons and Rings, this way the game will be less focused in stack those stats and reduce the "one-hit-kill" meta we do have currently, giving more space to fights duration and time to reaction.

Add some personality to our current Rarity System, some ideas I have is to didnt allow to any stats in all any rarity. For example, Weapon Damage +3 should only be possible in legendary, Rare Gear should only be possible have Weapon Damage +1 and Epic Gear +2, we really need to have a disparity in gear power other than the numbers of rolls. This way epic and legendary gear really would be expensive and worth to use/craft.

Add new craftable gear, theres too many craft material that didnt have any use, being able to craft gear with what you found in the dungeon should help new players and also movement the craft market, aswell giving another option to gear that we can use in our runs.

Give new functions to Silver Coin, let us exchange for supply like Bandage or Potions. Honestly Silver Coin currently is just "gold that occupies another slot", If you remove them from the game nobody would even feel they're missing, because theres no use or funcion to be used, so please, lets us use the Silver Coin for something.

That would just kill wizard in any team comp. Problem is barbarian being too strong with haste invis. Fix would be individual buff duration percentages. Cause even if barb cant be buffed anymore it would now be fighter... and then cleric and then next class.

Yeah crossbow is stupid, so is warmaul and windlass crossbow, and longbows. Especially with the +25 dmg modifiers we could get. A longbow could do 400 dmg in 1.5 seconds from long range. Just cause someone isnt likely to headshot 3 times in a row doesnt mean its balanced.

Another way would be going +1 dmg, but giving like +4 agility but less move speed scaling in that case, +4 knowledge +6 resourcefulness, like just giga buff the other stats basically. Only issue here is theres not many stats, its only those 3, strength and will gives damage.
Perhaps just removing all types of dmg increase is the way to go and just having items that give upwards of 6 knowledge 6 agility 8 resourcefulness 6 strength 6 will, but removing the dmg increase that strength and will gives. We would still need new stats to be added to the game this way but this would be more exciting i guess to find a rare 6 agility gear piece than just a plain 3 agility one.

Highroller should be removed when the full 3 floor dungeon experience comes out (ruins 1st floor/ Catacombs 2nd floor/ Inferno 3rd Floor) the first floor would be the current Normal, 2nd floor would be Highroller and 3rd would be an even harder "High roller Plus" with mostly Nightmare tier enemies and even better loot. Additonally a couple options to skip floors, maybe an Item from the merchants that summons red portals as well as a potential shrine that also summons them. The leaderboards would track the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Stashable but none tradable ticket system
Take helpful UI elements like the minimap and the compass and remove them from the UI. Repurpose them into utility items that let you view a full map of the dungeon (no indication of where you are) and a compass that lets you figure out your facing relative to the map.
Maybe you have to buy or find these instead of starting with them.

In a game with with a 'safe zone' and circle that kills you slowly for being outside of it this is a terrible idea. You NEED access to the map in order to survive.

IM has done a decent job so far given the court battles and trying to keep players happy but, I feel sometimes they way over correct just to revert stuff I would rather see slow down scaling them the wild swing from over powered to under powered.

wizards have been over preforming but itโs not as simple as just removing damage, if you nerf wizard you indirectly buff other classes so what you need to do is something like make them squishier and make them a real glass cannon, or make it so knowledge and will donโt stack as much, or even give them less spells

"statcheck" gameplay will simply never feel balanced. it cant. if you want the game to feel "balanced" you need to give the players skill expression and counterplay to stuff. i dont think thats the way this game wants/needs to go since its a rock paper scissor class system for the most part.
True. They need to adjust more than just dmg add. Im thinking about rogue too tho. At the moment a naked rogue might be the worst class, but a bissed out rogue scales incredibly hard with dmg add since he hits so many times a second
they def donโt get two tapped, and they already have a static hp and pdr/mr so what you do is reduce a couple of the stats, that way theyโre easier to kill
they def do. I have been 1 tapped with full purple set as wizard 2 times by archer.

Its just kinda strange how matchups go depending on what lvl of gear is equiped. Naked rogue vs naked barb is alot more favourable for barbarian compared to bis rogue vs bis barb. Im thinking strictly in a 1v1 situation
remember that the iron mace devs donโt like where the direction of the game is going either, so they will most likely change a lot of the stuff in the current game

most of the game is 3v3 and thatโs something else too, rogue is very weak as a starter class but they scale a lot better than barbarian, rogue is also much harder to play than barbarian

you canโt cherry pick one situation, iโve been in a full 85% pdr set and 30% mr set as a fighter and get 2 tapped by a naked wizard, arguements can be made in both directions, you go off general game play not certain situations

remember that during play test 3 and 4 the devs said that they do want there to be metas, just not game dominating ones, so they want to have certain classes be a meta. so it everyone scales equally does it really matter what class you play?

What im saying is you shouldnt feel handicapped or know your just fucked if you run into the wrong comp. Sure there can be metas with stronger or weaker comps, but like the devs say, not completely dominatinig ones. Idk the more i think about the harder it sounds to balance anything

Just as a quick example. you know if your playing pdr fighter your gonna have a nice time vs anything except magic dmg. So if you run into a wizard your team is like down a player. You havee crossbow but that doesnt really compensate since ur down a frontline and theirs is charging you.
actually thatโs suprisingly not true, barbarians have more dps and range than a fighter so they also beat fighter, and fighters donโt really have projectile reduction so rangers hurt, and clerics also hurt with smite (current meta) warlocks are pretty shit tho
now with more options for a magic useable character they should up scaling on pdr a smidge and bring back 95%

I feel like there should be two distinct types of loot in the game. Similar to tarkov, i think we should have loot that it found in each run, and loot that has been bought in the trade guild. With this distinction, we can split the player lobbies by those who are running found loot from those who are coming into raid with specific decked out loot. Each piece of loot traded from the guild becomes marked loot, and if you attempt to enter a raid with marked loot, you will be put in lobbies with others who have the mark. I feel like this would even the playing field and make the game have a lower time to kill as you wouldn't be able to gather loot that stacks the perfect stats as easily.
SCAV entry would be random but Iโd totally dig it

id like to suggest another tier to the current dungeons, a "naked" tier, players can only enter with base kit. i feel this would add a slight arcade like aspect. normal lobbies have teams with full kits, nothing wrong with it, but people who have little time to play regularly have little to no chance. the maps and the game is very fun, and i feel this would retain players who cant play all the time.
Has anyone else noticed an increase in players using the ESP cheat? I've been watching games a lot after I die etc and I have seen how players are cheating...any comments? BTW anyone who uses cheating has to be the biggest POS twit who ruins the game for others..

Make something with naked rouges in High roller lobby's, for now main rule of HR is not even working. High risk = high reward, but how naked rouges can be risking if they come full naked trying to sneak and extract.
Lobby's are just 1-2 geared team and other 9-12 people are naked rouges...

The game is EA, main problem is that the devs arent doing BIG PATCHES for now, but just adjusting some things here and there. Like I said before, 7 Days to Die is basically in a eternal EA, but they really take time to release a patch and when they do, normally things are really changed or reworkerd. Today patch wasnt bad, but I really think they should nerfed ranger dmg a bit. They nerfed crossbow, but didnt touch longbow or anything.
And I still thinking is a bad idea let people use gold ingot/golden keys as gold value, anyway.
@lucid folio BoC wasnt fair, even if is kited, the class already has damage with inferno, a way to block path, healing, DoT, phantomize, etc, etc. The class didnt need a skill strong as BoC, being able to one-shot mostly of naked class isnt far at all. But they really should touched in the buffball comp, at least try to shake a bit the "meta" and force players to play another way.

Loot drops have been rebalanced. There will now be less loot drops overall. Worrying, hopefully they didn't set it back to what it was before the first loot improvement patch.

they nerfed longbow and I think that buffball is more of a problem than ranger atm. BoC is totally fair since you can see it being activated, therefore getting hit by it is either confidence or lack of braincells, both should be punished and that ability did it well.
With the removal of excessive dmg stacking wouldnt that just push the buffball meta with a barb to be even more dominant. Bc barbs just stat stick and run everyone over with haste invis and other buffs while sporting a nice 250hp

an idea to rework the trade stash is to merge multiple stashes and charge the tax for each stash, so that you can trade more stuff at a time while paying the appropriate taxes
for the inventory I recommend adding craftable chests, perhaps the objects to craft could be the wood and iron of broken crates and barrels in the game
why not make a interaction whare you drag and drop a empty coin pouch to a gold chest/bag and it fills the pouch. it would be more convieniant then taking out 10 coins at a time
I'd like in the future if they would revisit the idea of the 3 tier map and I might suggest a way to do it.
Three man game like crypts is now but it starts in the ruins. There's no dark swarm and the first level is an instanced smaller version of the ruins with only your team. You can loot up and fight your way to a spot that would lead down into the crypts as they are now where you can fight other teams, loot and find a way down to the inferno.
As soon as the boss in the inferno is killed, the game begins to end. The dark swarm appears and begins slowly moving in without stopping, and some enemies may even return from death to hinder your escape. Players will have about 2-3 minutes to find an escape or die.
Would be more guaranteed escapes like in GC in case teams chicken out instead of going down
Also if you queue solo/duo matches you with randos so you can make a friend (optional)

no trading, it takes like an hour or more of hardcore staring at trade chat so you don't get sniped to put together a decent set, more if you want to specialize in something like stacking flat hp, or move speed

Med stacking isn't back, well, at least not the important one is. Pre medding was a problem when health pot rarities would stack with each-other. So people would go into a fight with like 5 health regen/s.

Potions and bandages not being sold by NPC is inda a help to drain gold of the game. At least people will manage better and no just fill their inventory with them. Hope all pharmacy become more "expensive", aswell in the future thei introduce ways to craft better potions with better/extra effects.
it's also much more significant with damage stacking nerfs and higher baseline defenses for even light classes
the PT3 attrition meta was "oneshot them or they heal to full", I'm worried we're gonna see the same thing dragged out over much longer fights, where classes that have burst damage are going to be king

Yeah, new players being able to carry more healing is always good. When I started in the game many times I died because my 3 potions wasnt enough, lol.
Oh I'm talking specifically about the buying infinite meds. The only people that ever complained about the buy limit were people that would buy 3pots/3bandages, go in... immediately die then they can't restock cause of the 30 minute timer.
The stacking limit is definitely a QoL change that affects everyone, but geared teams the most.

That's an issue that needs to be tackled on it's own.
Wiz is fine in pve except for bosses, the boost to staff damage helped, but magic missle is king. I hope they don't remove random modifiers, would ruin the game for me I think. Part of the fun is finding gear with the right combo of stats for the build you wanna run. If we can't get random stats, how am I gonna run a magic fighter with a crystal sword to counter PDR stacks?

Fighter - Battle Master Maneuvers / Maneuver Memory
Grant Fighters their own "Spell Memory" abilities. However, rather than being spells, they're fighting "Maneuvers" that they can use in battle. Similar to some of the Maneuvers in Dungeons and Dragons.
Trip Attack, Bonus Physical Damage Strikes, Disarming Attack (reduce enemy physical power), Pushing Attacks, Parry (with weapons that don't traditionally have them), Rally (temporary extra HP), ect.
These are of course, only EXAMPLES of what COULD exist, but ideally, this would give Fighters other viable ability options than the traditional Sprint + Second Wind.
For example, you could end us seeing "Ten Spell" fighters that have two sets of Maneuvers Memory. Maybe having more Intelligence (Since Fighters have a decent amount baseline) could grant more possibility for memorizing more maneuvers.

Grey gear only is literally splitting the amount of players you'd find into two separate lobbies. wdym lol. If I decide to play late say 5/6am here on ruins. I often queue into games with 3-5 players. We've seen how dead HR is without a split too. You'd end up having just a bunch of barely filled/empty lobbies just to satisfy "grey gear" players
Or, the situation doesn't change. The gear sweats currently mow down the lobby and let no one escape, looking for that one sweet juicy piece of gear to add to their godset. If they're doing it now, why wouldn't they do it there ๐ญ do y'all even play vgs????
yes but it fixes an issue that is bringing the player base down in the first place, thus increasing it

That's a best case scenario. Realistically, most people who get stomped give up without trying to really improve. They see good gear and blame their death on the "gear disparity" without even seeing the rolls.
It also kills the games Longevity because that mode would get incredibly dull and boring quickly with no gear to chase.
my idea for fixing cleric heals would be adding a cooldown to the target while in combat; 60s for holy light 30s for lesser heal
eg. you get healed by holy light then you are immune to holy light for 60s.

Look, HR didn't even queu before when no economy existed. You're not anticipating that everyone here is getting better. honestly i feel they should just add gear caps to each dungeon, like you can only bring up to blue or green in gc and larger dungeons like crypts have no gear limit
they tried that capped at blues. People still BIS'd out in blue and blue gear just ended up being more valuable than purples.

i guess gray only lobbies kinda make sense for new players but then what about the players who actually had to grind and improve at game. making a gray only lobby is like the devs holding hands with the people who are just entirely skill issues complaning about better gear when they just completely suck

Grey only just gives people the option to start the dungeon on an even playing field. The only negative feedback i got sofar is it would split the already lowering playerbase. Which is stupid
it is enjoyable through the whole thing you just need to try harder
then at least would it be only limited to smaller dungeons? since the larger dungeons have more loot and better drop rates (i think or at least it feels like it)

im just being a poophead, but for real people need to realize skill has alot more to do with winning/losing than gear. obviously gear makes a difference (which it should or theres no reason to get better stuff) but if youre losing on a consistant basis and find yourself checking their gear to justify it, you should be thinking about what you could have done differently to change the outcome of the fight. learn from your losses.
If gear only mattered, name weapons would never change hands unless facing other named weapons
at least a timmy would have the chance to find some blue felling axe before running into an "experienced" team and have a chance. And I guarentee you half the people spouting "skill issue" are buff ball meta gamers who havent geared in anything under purple in months. My moneys on they would get a reality check in a lobby like this.
like imagine gray gear lobbies were made, even if new players find some decent gear, someone who has the mechanics down and map knowledge will just easily outplay or straight up outskill them and they die, takes all the loot, gets out way easier than normal lobbies where theres still a chance of running into people who also know how to play the game
