Game actually feels okay right now with how easy it is to get gear/gold

inflation is because GC has 6 portal + a guaranteed exit for a 7 player lobby, making everyone that doesnt die to pvp extract with at least 200g without counting the gear

also the game has a very few gold sink, beside trade fee, so each time a 7 player lobby finnishes GC you inject 1400 gold on average into the economy

We do need something to replace these purses I agree, but as I just said the way to do that is making gold storage more accessible, not by adding a literal bank.

The problem is I do not think there is a number that makes it more worth it.
Gold storage items are the best way to do this, a big upfront initial investment and then you get a free way to store money proportional to your investment.
The problem is the investment right now is simply not worth it. Gold bags store 500 saving you 6 slots and cost 10000 gold. If they were a lot more accessible they would be actually useful.
Well we need something like actual gold bars then instead of stuff you can mine and indefintely produce.
Sorry, by "Gold storage" I mean ACTUAL gold storage, not what people are doing right now with gold bars. Like the coin bags are good, just their implementation is bad. You can't make them too inaccessible that they aren't worth the investment.

The troll pelt on the other hand costs MINIMUM 1 key, but some people ask 2. It's ridiculous to have this as a part of the recipe for a 500g storage item.
I think wolf pelts is fine and all but if they are gonna keep them in ruins and keep the gear check in game, they need a HR ruins
Ruins is by far the worst map balance-wise.
I don't think they should make an HR variant of it, they just need to rework that map. It's way too inbalanced in favor of a few classes.
I think what needs to happen now is a re-work of the stats that get applied to armor/weapons. Greens should only have a maximum of +1/2 to a stat roll, blues should have a maximum of 2 stats with a +2 to whatever it is, and so on as you go up in rarity. That would help with the min/maxing of any gear rn
At this point, I'd rather have a trade system before a friend's list.
Spending more time in the trade channels than in dungeons is ridiculous...

Rangers for one have an absolutely massive advantage due to the open areas which benefit the character with the highest range in the game.
Secondly, rogues who benefit from it being the darkest map by far.
Also on a personal note I just don't enjoy that map even playing as those classes because of how open and easy it is to catch/hear people in rooms next to you. I have the highest rate of being third partied in fights than any other map. I just avoid that map, I play crypts even in duos cause I have better odds there.

We need a better storage space. Keeping it limited is 100% viable. However it is too limited rn. Struggling to find any room for your money if you wanna have 1 or 2 extra sets is aggravating. Stocking up to craft items takes up too much space. If you wanna be a miner you have hardly any room to spare. They need to offer some kind of storage expansion or at the very least make the coin bags and chests more accessible
Of course it's an opinion and not objective, but it's an opinion shared by many about the ruins map. I'm glad you like it, but I think they should do something else with the ruins map rather than make an HR variant of a map that already feels pretty terrible to play for most.
Is there like some proof behind ruins being unpopular since the item drop patches? Cuz my lobbies fill up super fast
It's... still the only duo map in the game so of course people are going to queue for it. No I have no proof this is just what I've talked about in this channel previously with people.
I'm always going to advocate that they don't continue to work on ruins as it's own standalone thing.
I will also note, that on an OBJECTIVE basis, as a team you have the lowest chances of any map.
How can I say that?
Goblin caves you are up against 6 other players. That's 6 'teams' you have to contend with.
Crypts you are up against 12 other players. That's 4 'teams' you have to contend with.
Ruins you are up against... a whopping 14 other players. That is literally 7 'teams' you have to contend with.
Statistically just looking at numbers, ruins has the lowest chances for players.
Ruins has more players and is smaller than crypts in size.
Yeah bro exactly, its the hardest map, the fights are intense, rangers do have an advantage but they cant control the circle and IT IS DARK which helps fight them. Pretty sure every class has ranged weapons or spells. Its literally the hardest map and its a duo map, its perfect for HR and leaderboards tbh
It requires the most tact and strategy, no shutting a million doors, lots of open space, lots of shadows to hide in, lots of people. Tons of good loot, 2 bosses and multiple gold ore spawns

People won't stop playing ruins because currently it has the most potential for money for ONE reason: Gold ore veins. The easiest most riskless way to make money in this game. It's incredibly unbalanced.

I don't think that's the case. Wolf pelts are already sold taking that into account, the supply is steady enough that they sell for 300g most of the time. The price might go up if the economy inflates more but yes.

The high risk high reward high stakes gameplay of HR is FUN as hell when everybody is doing the same rat race and trying to get out with more than they came in with. Whether that's through killing, ratting, or clearing and looting.
That fun for me is entirely erased when you add people into the equation that just rush through the lobby trying to rack up an arbitrary clout number.

With a ranger you just have to be good enough at the game and dodge their shots, close the distance as fast as you can while taking as little damage as possible.
I have no answer for wizard honestly. You have to hope the wizard is bad at the game, cause if a wizard is good enough at the game it can feel like an unfair fight.

Crossbow, keep far enough away from zaps, first fireball hit, pop second wind
Same, if they look inexperienced I'll take the fight but if they look like they know what they're doing I just try to lose them. Not worth taking the fight unless you can get the jump on them.
If they get close enough to zap, close distance and kill, if they run, shoot in back with crossbow.
dont run straight at them, move side to side right as they cast, its not too hard to dodge
Realistically, because zap is hitscan it's not so easy to dodge zap. Also a wizard can take slow and make it so you can't dodge.
They can also haste invis to make sure they control how close or far away from you they are.
It's contextual, and as I said it's about whether the wizard knows what they're doing or not. If they're just spamming zaps and fireballs it can be doable for sure.
true i guess if youre going against Apollo or Jay type of wizard, just pray you can get the jump on them

yeah never turn your back to a wiz, try to bait out spells as best you can. Best hope is having a ranged weapon pref crossbow

Ironically a good indicator I find can be what the base kit wiz is wearing.
The ones that know what they're doing usually take off shirt and pants/hat because it helps them kite the fighter better.
Sadly "run breakthrough" is just not viable given how contested skill slots are in this game.
Sprint breakthrough would prob be more worthwhile if you are running into counters often. Second wind is fine if you have the PDR
But i run adrenaline sprint as slayer fighter and i def keep the second wind as a 70%+ PDR fighter
Even as base kit fighter you need second wind to have a chance against barbs/warlocks/other fighters
Sprint is needed to catch rangers and rogues.
You CAN run breakthrough if you really are running into a lot but the thing is most wizards are just not good enough to pose that kind of a problem. So giving up a highly contested skill slot for them is not worth.
Naw you can def run adrenaline rush sprint and have MUCH more of a chance against all 3
depending on your personal skill level i suppose.
Problem is adrenaline rush has a very big particle effect and you can be kited while it's going, then you get the penalty afterwards.
You won't survive against warlock because BoC clap is an instakill or 2-tap against you. You need second wind to recover since second wind healing is not affected by BoC (weirdly enough)
Barb again, does more damage than you so if you are running in with adrenaline rush you will still be out dps'd by him assuming he can land his hits on you.
Warlock and Barb both hit too hard for second wind to even get its value. Killing them as fast as possible, baiting out the BoC and dodging barb swings then getting 2-3x the hits on them as a normal fighter, they just melt or run away
I promise you its better and you get more value from it if you time it right
Well, you are faster than both of them assuming you have sprint. So you pop second wind, kite them while healing and then go back in.
I've played with both before, slayer fighter is my second most played class.

Oh this falls on deaf ears apparently. They nerf achilles strike to the ground, but they ignore BoC and actually buff warlock. 20 magic damage that not many classes get high resistance to and its scaling is 100%. Not only do they get good weapons to use it on but other than the damage, they lower how much you heal too? These warlock players cried over some mediocre nerfs while BoC still stayed the same.
for the love of god get rid of the spots where you can just get permanently stuck in the map

I would love to see the standing heal come back for bards in a more balanced way, and with clerics being able to heal standing I think it could be figured out, possibly with a high knowledge cost or even a limit to how many times you can cast it. Like a rangers heal only having a few charges.
Make wizard and cleric spells not use uses in the lobby for when you want to check the damage of them
or any other charge-based skill, like second wind, if you accidentally press that key
How in the name of God can the Rogue be in the sad state it is in while Warlocks exist in their current state. I just had a Warlock with a 30 dmg staff literally one-shot my armored fighter with 40+% PDR. I was missing maybe 10 hp but was well over 100. That is absolutely insane. Nerf Blow of Corruption ffs...

if you had metal gear you probably had near 0 magic damage reduction, you got hit by the centipede at the same time and were near 60%hp and then got headshot by blow of corruption for a around 40 magic damage + the physical from the staff which also headshot you

I had Blue Templar Armor and a Visored Helm which has built in Will. I did have -10 MR from the Visored Helm and metal boots. But my gloves were leather and gave Will. Centipede did not hit me, that much is perfectly clear. In fact, when I went down the Warlock was between me and the centipede. As for his gear, he had +2 weapon dmg on his boots, and 5% increased magic dmg on the staff, which had 30 phys and 9 magic. There is no math on this planet that equates to that kind of dmg with that gear. It's been reported. In this case I am 99% sure he was hacking, but the lock still needs a nerf. lol
Better yet, have an area where you can test things without going into lobbies at all
if he used BoC then thats 20 plus 100% scaling. A lv 1 base gear war can do 86 damage to the head.
Classic, yeah BoC is broken needs a bit of tuning. The scaling on it is way too high. Warlock shouldn't have a melee option stronger than both melee-only classes.
Then maybe he wasn't cheating, in which case the Warlock needs a Goddamn nerf... But noooo. Let's cut the Rogue down to 20 seconds of stealth that also requires 2 perks to be able to move without alerting everyone nearby to his presence.
Oh for sure warlocks are doing as much if not more damage to people than barbarians with achilles strike
Warlocks are a weird spot for me. I like that they deal mixed damage in melee like the Wizard technically has decent options for... the trade off as opposed to them having heavy armor and being tanky innately is that they're squishy but can heal over time very well. BoC definitely deals way too much damage currently, but I'd like to see the mixed damage capability of the Warlock stay.

I just made a warlock to test the damage out for myself and with a basic white crytal sword at lv 4 I killed a bardbarian in 4 hits to the arms and body, he was lv 20

It's just too many stacking damage sources for one ability. If it's 20 flat damage then it's fine, but it's never just 20 flat damage added.

I feel you but as I've been saying for the past month they ought to make a ranked mode for leaderboard climbers and have HR separated from ranked.
HR exists for two reasons, and those two reasons are very diametrically opposed to one another. People who are there to progress and play at higher gear levels are just there to play the game at a higher level and enjoy themselves, people who are climbing leaderboards are trying to increase a number to gain clout and respect of others.
These two groups of people are at odds with one another, so they ought to make a ranked mode in the future to accommodate this.

I mean I only said what I said initially cause I think your suggestion was bonkers. There is a way to fix these problems but I don't think 'remove voip' is the way to go. I'm a big fan of voip and the unique interactions it creates in this game at all levels of play.

If they create a ranked mode I am down for them creating more stringent and strict rules for ranked mode since I imagine it would exist for the primary purpose of leaderboard climbing.
Until then though I don't think we should remove such a core feature of the game. I understand the desire for a competitive scene but sadly as it is there just no worthwhile dedicated competitive mode. Especially with how they keep trying to encourage casual players to go to HR through both incentives to HR and disincentives/restrictions on regular gameplay. (Most recently with removing purples)
I just wish you could see these guys in HR man. They use Comms like "I hit him twice, flank this angle, another player NE", and I can go on. These little voice interactions make big plays in what's supposed to be a solo mode. I know I'm probably not making a lot of sense but I'm trying to explain how it can be used for more than just "Hey I'm cool. There's a bard piece in that chest over there."
I play a lot of HR myself. I just don't do so when leaderboards are up, but I do know there is a great degree of cooperation where people more often than not just wanna live and let live. With a majority of my interactions in HR having ended with people just wanting me to leave them alone and vice versa.
So I do get the struggle, and I do get how rough it is to be teamed up on in solo modes as it's happened to me before. IM needs to figure out what they want to do with HR cause currently not enough people play it, and the playerbase is very divided on what it should or shouldn't be.
Still, I'm against VOIP being removed because of the great interactions it can create, even when you're not teaming necessarily, such as this: #fighter message

The Luck Potion system has been reworked, and there are now four types of Luck Potions:
Potion of Luck - Grants 50 Luck when consumed and can be bought for 50 Gold.
Potion of Fortune - Grants 100 Luck when consumed and can be bought for 150 Gold.
Potion of Felicity - Grants 150 Luck when consumed and can be found in dungeons.
Potion of Prosperity - Grants 300/400/500 Luck when consumed and has to be crafted.

Any Luck Potion: 1
Gold Powder: 1
Grave Essence: 3
Intact Skull: 3
When using a Luck Potion, the Potion with the higher bonus will increase the bonus value of the Potion of Prosperity, hence the three different levels.
Fighters:
"Shield Slam" is worthless. Any time that you'd want to use it, you're better off swinging your weapon. Additionally, the range is absurdly short. The Animation will show the shield extend, but I don't think it actually does. It doesn't feel like it extends the range of the shield any further than it's held in front of you by default. I also find that the shield ceases to be a shield during the Shield Slam animation. I was hoping there would be something if you shield-bashed an incoming attack. You take the damage.
"Perfect Block" is underrated but could still use some love. It should, at the very least, reset a weapons combo when you do land a "Perfect Block." As it is - perfect block doesn't give you much additional blocking power.
The real benefit to "Perfect Block" is the "Counterattack" perk. It FEELS (I don't have any way to confirm this) that "Counterattack" really only perks after you land a "Perfect Block." I know you get the buff icon at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't feel like it really makes you attack any faster.
However, after landing a Perfect Block, your next two swings are noticeably quicker.
**Breakthrough **just isn't worth it with the other great skills available. Though it works quite well.
Second Wind should be recharged while resting (albeit very slowly). Regardless, it's absolutely essential unless you're coming with more meds than a pharmacy. Even then...
"Victory Strike" should have its damage buffed or its heal-effect buffed. Personally, I think the heal-effect should be buffed, but either way, there is a reason it's not often used.

To be honest, I like the Blues. It makes Cobalt worth it. And the drip is spectatular when you run through in full blues, but also... literally blue.
I am running some disgusting gear on my barbarian and warlock, demon hunter/ cobalts +9 magic healing and 330 ms. for my warlock at least all I had to do was use slightly worse jewlry and a purple falchion. -- for me im having fun, but I can see how this exp didnt help the nub stomping.

That's strange, when I see other geared players in crypts lobbies I normally specifically go after them when I'm geared, especially if they're the same class...
Cause that means backup kits in-case I die, and that's where all the good loot comes from.
I avoid pubstomping noobs unless they attack us first cause like what's the point? I'm just ruining someone else's time for pretty much no reward, I don't want their loot.
Killing the geared players is more fun, they put up more of a fight and I don't feel bad about it, plus like I said more loot to contribute to my backup kits so I can keep going forever the more I win.
if you really wanna have some sort of keepsake mechanic in the game I'd rather it be some sort of scroll/seal that can very rarely dropped of some sort of content, and through this you can guarenteed save one item, but that's the maximum alowed per character, one item.
This way players would also be kept in control of how much this should cost.
I find it's too little reward to get 1 item, you just died, it should be you being punished.

I disagree with that, it's either useless: having to stash your gear for a month no one want it. Or only busted for 1% or less : Buffing people that can pay 10 keys their gear, so they actually never lose much and stock pile their gear as a rotation in a month. While most people won't care to pay 1000g for stuff that are worth less than a key anyway.
TBH i would agree for Wizard, i find that meditation is extremly clunky since we have time limitation round. But Cleric is already busted and since it's the only support in the game since bard nerf and capped MS for wiz also. A buff this huge for the cleric doesn't appeal to me.
Debuff duration stat rolls on gear is still negative, right, like it increases the duration of debuffs on you still? Do you think they're ever going to change that or is it forever going to be worse than getting no roll on your gear

I would like to suggest that the normal lobbies be specifically for Grey, White, and green quality gear while blues and above be for high roller. The Purple to high roller change was good, but we're still seeing people in full blues with capes and rings, that should honestly be in high roller, going into normal lobbies with people that have greys or nothing on and clubbing seals

I don't really play crypts unless I'm on rogue ratting but agreed buff ball is the issue. You can get close to BIS blues for 1k and easily extract a bunch of times, paying it off and then some. Much better system than getting rolled by BIS purples and legendary items in LR

I'm thinking some kind of momentum mechanic might be cool - invert movement speed added to physical bonus or something, offset by armour rating to simulate charging into battle. The slower your character (heavier) the more force is generated by running.
I don't know how it'd work with walking, sidestepping etc speed modifiers.

It is shocking to me you play HR but you think boc is weaker than phantomize and you think slayer fighter is OP.
I would like to suggest a consideration toward development of a bounty system in the game. Perhaps a way for players to place bounties or at least the system place bounties upon players who tend to aggessively seek out other players to kill over the PVE NPC. Especially those who have many kills of players. This way other players will begin to seek out them to collect bounties. The higher the bounty the more difficult it will be for them to navigate maps without others being alerted of their presence. It might even bring a collective group of players together to achieve the collection of said bounty. I think this would be an interesting add to the game and will give the PVP players more opportunity to PVP themselves to death. They should love it.
boc is plenty weaker than phantomize in hr. phantomize gets you out of so many situations with basically a speed shrine while in use
This isn't about phantomize being weak. It's about boc being insanely busted strong.
Phantomize does get you out of a lot of situations in HR, but if you're dying to slayer fighters as you say then just take boc. boc is an auto win button against anyone that has to get in melee range of you to kill you lmao.
boc is only "insanely busted strong" with a cs. also the reason why i dont take boc in hr is because ppl just run and wait it out, and then mow u down. u fight a ranger, a barb, a wizard, ur js dead. same with rogue
It's amazing with a staff too because it gets scaling power from all your magic damage and it scales with headshot damage.
You can bonk someone for upwards of 80 damage with it, assuming you're in HR you have plenty of +additional magic damage gear so you will definitely be near one tapping people with it.
You activate it and a rogue comes within melee distance of you he will keep his distance... and during those seconds that boc is active with your staff you can spam curses on him and he'll either have to run far to get out of curse distance or take his chances with you getting literal free damage on him until it's up. Then once it's up it's LITERALLY a 15 second cooldown so it's not like you're gonna be vulnerable for that long.
This is all assuming you can't just bonk them and one tap them anyway. It needs a nerf, it probably WILL get nerfed but abuse it while it's still here.
Slayer Fighter needs some love, wanting them nerfed is just silly. They have almost no options for how to play the game and plate fighter is the meta rn and has been for awhile.

More character slots, I would like to be able to make race and class specific named characters. While I might name my male human wizard GandalfTheBlight, I would like to name an undead female wizard Hellvira. As it stands there is just enough room for one of each class released, would love if it was 2 each.
Gear should be limited to greens in normal matches, a blue item cap doesn't really do much since you're still able to pull off insane gear set ups. Blue, purple, and legendary/named gear should be grouped into one tier, whereas grey, white, and green in another. To compensate the match quality, maybe drop the loot quality to balance out the matches and make the geared people willing to run HR.

I think the game is going to bleed one way or another, and i understand that you can still get good stats and good sets with green gear, but the disparity between the two ends of the spectrum drops if something like what I suggested happens, in which everyone has a much more fair chance of actually playing the game.It doesnt make sense that, in a game about hardcore survival, looting, and pvp/pve, people with better gear should be able to win almost every fight with no issue against people with less strong gear. There should be some kind of an opportunity for people with less strong gear to win a fight, and people with better gear should have/feel some kind of risk in bringing in the gear theyre bringing. Closing in the range between the two groups of players would make the game true to itself, in my opinion of course.
You guys want way too much honestly. You got your compromise with the blues but this is pushing things way too far.
The game was never meant to be super 'fair' it was always meant to be a level of asymmetrical pvp. I'm just gonna quit the game if this becomes a 'gear score' system which you can't play anything unless it's a white or you go to HR to get stomped by leaderboard runners. Like nah man it's way too much. Just be happy with what you got.
The game isnt gear its AI, and lack of unique challege so people just go around trying to force pvp like its pubg/apex etc.
If the AI posed any enjoyable challenge like Darksouls, and the Unit collision wasnt abysmal. There might be hope, but if the unit collision isnt good, and the AI isn't good theres no incentive to fight NPC's other than being annoying task to get to the next room.

Anyone else lose the desire to play as much with this patch? Idk what it is, the blue gear lobbies being just as bad if not worse than normal lobbies before, mini free high roller almost lol. Gold purses being unique, and STILL having the lack of accessibility to gold storage items such as the bag and chest. Who would pay 100x the cost of what the container holds? Nobody. Also, tired of the trade chat, it's so bad there's a massive discord dedicated to alleviating this problem. most of the community prob not even in them or the biggest one, the collectors guild. That's where the big trades happen for the best gear.
Anyways, rant over, love this game but lately been lacking the desire to play due to these issues.

You dont even need to run spells as a solo. phantom and BoC are legit all you need. If you get caught out then you can easily just phantom to reposition, and then BoC is all you need for damage. If you run a good weapon damage set and a crystal sword you can two ore three tap anything. Ive legit killed more people playing around testing out warlock and escaped with more loot than any other class ive played pre lv 15
There are differences with needs and wants, and BoC NEEDS to be nerfed. Nerf it to the ground like they did achilles strike, as having something like that on a class with so much utility is not healthy for the game whatsoever.
but doesnt this trend just express that steamrolling lower geared people is easy and reliable? My point is that people wanting to come in and roll entire matches and doing so with no need to be scared because of their "god gear" is not fair, and that I do not think you can deny. It is kinda crazy how fast they saw barbarian having a nice thing and were like "nerf it to the ground" but warlock has been one-tapping people with a melee ability with 15s cooldown since day 1 and it hasn't been touched.

Suggestion - Personal stats with option to inspect others / set to private. Including but not limited to: Player kills, deaths, revives, times been revived, each type of mob kill, gold earned from collector/merchants, normal vs HR tab, special items looted/found, escapes, percentage of times gone to hell, amount of times entering crypts as solo / duo / trio, pots broken, etc.

The major nerf to achilles was good as barbarians already do a lot of damage, and achilles was just an unnecessary addition to that damage. Now that being said, i agree on why TF is BoC still the same. Especially when its doing the same and or more damage achilles strike was going... on a mage class. I sound like a broken record with how many times ive mentioned that. But until they fix it and not try to work around it by nerfing everything else but BoC, then it has to be mentioned.
Also idk why these people, noobs or what, are still trying to get gear based match making lowered more, as if thats going to fix anything. The gear restriction is fine at blue, if at all in the first place. Like you said, it made purple loot pointless for casual players. But the reason the gear restriction doesnt feel like its working for these people is the devs removing the level restriction.
Well its temporary, so they are going to remove it 100%. If they take weapon damage/phys/magic damage stats off. It'll feel fine because the higher stat gear will raise the pain and removing those busted stat rolls will lower the pain.
Reverse the gear restriction patch for normals ... BUT add levels 1-14 pure starter gear queues and normal 15+ or any gear queues
Big facts, and Im glad its a temp thing. Level restrictions were fine enough. The rolls on gear are still a bit high. The biggest issues are weapon damage and magic power. Weapon damage in general is a completely broken stat that shouldnt be a thing. It doesnt matter how tanky you are when someone has plus 10 weapon damage getting 20 additional damage per hit.

every class except barb, ranger, cleric, fighter need a buff, enough with the nerfing, bring the other classes to the same point as the top 4 before we start nerfing the entire game into the ground, i fckn love this game but have such a hard time playing because the moment i switch off of meta, i die repeatedly to meta it kills my passion for the game and completely subsides any desire to continue to play

I will literally quit the game if they cut normals down to green.
I don't even like normals down to blue, as I've said it just feels awful to find purple or god forbid a legendary when we run the lich and know that we can only use it for the one run. I certainly HOPE it's temporary and they will undo it, but due to the amount of people going: "Yeah so good!" I doubt it, probably hear to stay.
Wish we could un-open the pandora's box that is gear restrictions but now that it's been done I doubt it will ever get undone.
As for blow of corruption and achilles, yes achilles needed a nerf. I just think it's super weird that they nerfed achilles which was also something that would basically one tap if it landed but they leave BoC in the game. Personally the nerf I'd give BoC is that it just cannot benefit from any scaling. 20 extra flat damage on an attack is fine, as long as that damage doesn't get added magic damage or headshot modifiers or power modifiers etc.
If you want to help casuals learn but still have good pvp have 3/6/9 (or 5/7/9) players/teams random raids, this would make occasional raids be more pve focused and some being heavy pvp focused with some being at the balance we see now

-Penetration Power (how much armor penetration you deal)
-Impact Power (how many hits it takes for destructible objects to break; or if an object that is normally not destructible can be broken, like chests or doors)
-Damage Output (self-explanatory)
-Block Breaking Power (self-explanatory)
Then you have a whole different thing for health where it's just the vitality of the character that can be changed through max health bonuses and not Strength.
Also, gonna be very real here. Silence is not going to be healthy for this game.

Also, you know, if there's anything I learned with the experiment regarding the base maps and item rarity, it's that it's not draconian enough. They should make it so that only Uncommon rarity items or lower can only be brought into the Goblin Caves.
So me and my friends just queued up for a normal crypts run (didn't have any gear a red spider mummy took us out last game) and once again we get bodied by a fully geared wizard. The new hotfix did nothing!!! He was wearing full green (all but 4 items were green) and even had a necklace on with +action speed. Somehow he hit me with 4 fireballs while I struggled to jump on the barrel he was standing behind, then my friends died to an axe skeleton. When is ironmace going to finally do something about this gear greep and limit lobbies to white items only. I'm by no means a bad player at all but when you have these sweatlords running around fully greened out you can't do anything. I can only imagine what it's like for a new player. This is only going to drive new players away from a game that I'm definitely not bad at. Ironmace do something!!!

They need to reintroduce a hard lock to magic damage and magic healing. Make magic damage only cap at 25% increased damage, and magic healing cap at 3 HP per second.
Then we won't have:
-Wizards capable of soloing a Trio with relative ease.
-Warlocks being able to outheal everyone to a tremendous extent.
-Rogues being able to do 16 damage of Poison on first hit, per tick, when geared.
-Clerics being able to take away all your health from a single button press and 0.5 second start-up attack that legitimately takes no skill to hit.

this is a nice idea in theory but it 100% clashes with the devs desire to have a 'harcore' low TTK and longer term resource management

exactly, so changing the cleric heals from an instant cast to an heal over time would work to achieve that exactly, if I take 100 damage and need a cleric heal, he can:
A- heal me for 30 hp instantly (has is currently)
B- heal me for 3hp p/s over 10 seconds (has suggested by Dousiq)

Not a bad idea on paper, but unpleasant to balance. It makes it so squishy classes are squishy as they have to choose health over damage, and not just get both. But if people are squishier then wouldnt more people complain about getting one shot more? Thats already a big issue, but now itll be even worse when you have another stat you want to roll so you can have chance to survive getting even hit once. Next is that the will stat would need to be changed in the same way for magic stats. But what would you do about balancing out what stats you keep or remove if strength and will gives all those bonuses? How would this effect rng on item rolls?
Where did you get the idea of it being more casual friendly? It’s the most populated map and the one with least extracts to player ratio and I’m pretty sure in the ingame description it described as a battle to the death or something along these lines
Personally I like that gold has it own map, it gives the map some identity and purpose instead of having it together with the other ores

Idk... ive killed plenty of people in blue and purple as a base or green wizard with a staff. They are literally meant to be strong as they lack 3 major attributes. But what I certainly agree on is that once they get even a little geared they can easily snowball if you play right. Thats why I heavily dislike ever using spellbooks and orbs as they make wizards boringly strong. People who use them are just trying to play easy mode. Saying a wizard takes skill is only true when you use staffs and swords.
They even nerfed books and orbs, but it wasnt enough. They still give too much dps and mobility at the buy of a single item. The only issues using books or orbs is whether you run instant cast or meditate.

Please explain to me why the devs cant just make selling to merchants viable if I buy something for 120 from them I should be able to resell it for half so if I steal someone's blue chest piece that isn't BiS I should be able to sell it for around 50 to 60 gold to merchant instead of wasting an hour in trade chat and no that wouldn't fuck anything because realistically gear takes up more slots so if you fill those slots with green or blue collectibles you'd make way more money than selling the gear. So it would definitely work. It would help noob players and it would also make trade chat less annoying. Then only BiS gear would be sold which end turn lowers the cost of that gear because everyone would be trying to sell it.

This is a very small change, but it removes ambiguity. giving all party members "around him" suggests that it does not buff him also. Currently, it appears that the rogue himself also benefits from this perk, gaining the stat bonus as well. Given that the rogue is also buffed, removing the words "around him" makes it less confusing.
I have a lil suggestion. IMO you shouldn't be able to fling your armor off your character so quickly in the tab menu. Seeing as how changing weapons and equipping gear takes time, so should taking it off, even if it's a tiny amount of time. Personally i think too many people use this to their advantage and while i think it's kind of funny, i don't think it's in keeping with the game for it to be so instantaneous that it becomes an often talked about strategy in various situations.

there's an argument to that, personally when i started the game at the beginning of EA, i assumed not wearing shoes would incur a move speed penalty (i know shoes add move speed but i thought there would be a negative penalty for going shoeless)

im not sure im for negative move speed penalty on removed clothing except for shoes (which most people aren't unequipping), but if their was a tiny amount of time needed to de-equip or if you couldn't de-equip armor while moving, it might affect the dynamics of move speed in a beneficial way by preventing people from instantly gaining move speed mid-battle in requiring people to take a couple seconds to gain that speed
Can we get a potion case, a first aid kit/case, or something of the sorts? More inventory management items would be great. As it stands right now, I either have to sit in trade for forever to sell things, sell them for dirt cheap, or sell to vendor to make room in my stash. Success shouldn't feel like a downfall.
I agree in part. 1) I think it breeds to stay individual and not team based. There is no mechanic in game to confirm a teammates gear score before going in. Also it is better to encourage ALL players striving for best gear, team based scores will incentive one or two player carry with others naked. 2) I think lobby split blue and lower normal purple higher HR is good. At no time should a full white fresh slaw be facing a purple team. But individually iLvL or gear scoring is better and lobbies being matched with similar gear levels even inside the normal/HR split is positive

Man I want to keep playing this game but the number 1 biggest issue this game has is the trading. There's people that have the time to min/max by sitting in trade chat and there's ppl who don't. That alone is creating a huge issue. Either remove trading or give us a better system. The current system is something runescape even left behind.

Unless you did something odd like Make gold P2P useless and have gold only used for merchants. Then setup the auction house to use bartering system. Gear for gear or item for item. Yeah it might not stop R m T but it sure would cripple it.
My suggestion is about another method to stop players with HIGH-END GEAR queuing into normal lobbies. And the best way in my POV is to add some sort of "Item Score", for example ITEM SCORE wont be limited by only item rarity it will take into account +all, +weapon damage, etc. I cant speculate much about how much each stats will be in ITEM SCORE, but is better them only rarity. A lot of items that are blue are better than purple and sometimes even yellow, so limiting only rarity is not actually a good way to say which person can go to normal games or high rollers due to the problems earlier presented...

Just read everything you said and the problem is they can't buff fighter because of how prominent they are in 3s.
Solos are another thing sure, where the PDR isn't helpful because you end up being very slow and can be out-ranged/kited by wizards and warlocks who just ignore your PDR and move 10x faster than you.
Think a good middle ground would be to buff slayer fighter. Slayer fighter has almost no prominence in 3s and are generally considered pretty underpowered, though I don't know if that would suit you, would certainly suit me though as I love playing slayer fighter.

I'm more of an arming sword fan with slayer because of the high attack speed and low damage, the +5 flat damage helps a lot. Falchion is also pretty good, point of slayer fighter is to be able to actually keep up with your opponent, but you die a lot easier so you wanna try and output more damage before you die. I recommend offhand lantern, hand crossbow is also good if you use all-weapon fighter because the hand crossbow can benefit from the +5 flat damage too which more than negates the 10% damage penalty. Just depends whether you like the additional movespeed or not.
You can also use short sword if you're using arming sword, short sword and arming sword have weird combos that work together and go much faster. Plus short sword is only -10 extra movespeed so it can be hella worth.

If they can incentivize HR through more account progression stuff, that should help quite a bit with the dead HR lobbies, as well as drag some of the people who primarily just play to stomp LR into HR
It would be a good idea but before that happens we need to figure out what to do with leaderboards. Currently leaderboards are entirely tied to HR but if we're gonna tie late game progression to HR as well it seems like there should be a dedicated ranked mode instead.
I know a lot of people have interest in grinding out their name/fame but that's 'ranked' in that sense has never interested me in games all that much as I usually avoid it since I'm just playing for fun.
I don't actually know if there's that much of a problem with having them both tied to the same mode
I'm not actually sure how the LBs function currently, but if it is (or was changed to) top 20 games or something, going into HR early for progression wouldn't hurt any rankings if you care about that, and if you don't then it doesn't matter much.
In my mind, HR is probably intended to be where you go when you're geared but people are way too risk averse to run it with the entrance fee, even if the risk/reward is worth it numerically. So HR player pop dries up quickly, which leads to people running LR in the same gear instead, which is where a lot of balance complaints seem to be coming from.
Gear locking LR, I think, seems to be the bandaid fix for that, rather than addressing the issue. But people haven't responded well to HR changes in general, in terms of trying it more at least, unless it's completely free.
A quest/progression system in HR seems to be the only way to do that, by giving a reason for players to consistently run HR, which lessens the people who 'should' be running HR going LR instead

The leaderboard changes are really quite bad. The current meta for placing on leadboards is to build up a god set, play 19 games, and then sit on the character until the last day to play the final one in order to avoid decay. Rinse and repeat with as many characters as you can, rerolling if you die on one of your 19 games
Ironmace seems to keep making changes with this fantasy that players won’t abuse the system. as evidenced by Graysuns message that “players won’t abuse BiS blues they will just go to HR”

Sure, HR can be where you go when you have a god set, but if the people I'm playing against aren't just there for the reward of HR through either PVP, bossing, or looting and are instead there for the incentives of clout through the leaderboard I don't think I want to be a part of it. I'm not the only one that feels that way either.
So instead usually when I get a purple it just gets vendored instead. I really don't want to play with other leaderboard players, I like HR in concept and I enjoy playing it when it isn't tied to a clout-based number but when it is that's it for me.
Introduce a ranked mode separate from HR and you'll find a lot more people are willing to play HR.
Idk I think they should just scrap leaderboards and create tournaments instead.

Common Gear is no longer lost upon death, so long as that gear is currently equipped on your person.
Common Gear can still be taken off of your corpse to be used by other people.
This includes weapons and armor, but does not include utility items.
{Junk Weapons}
By pressing Alt + Left Click on your weapon while in the Stash menu, you can change your weapon into any other weapon that is available to your class.
This new weapon will always be Junk Tier and will have any additional stats reduced by half outside of the weapon damage and movement speed.
You can only perform this option twice prior to the match starting and cannot add a weapon into an empty slot.

I did some testing! and agree~ a slight buff to it in some way would make it worth alongside others! it adds a bit of needed dmg but as I put in my recordings here #rogue message it adds a substantial amount to your rapid stabs that is appreciated, but definitly not substantial enough as it was most likely based on daggers before their nerf <3

Sad to see that the goblin caves number of players hasn’t gone back up to 9 and reduce the amount of portals that spawn.
They’ve had multiple patches to fix it since it got ruined.
I can’t speak for other people as I don’t know the numbers, but I’m sure majority of people dislike it just by searching for “goblin cave” in the discord. And people will leave slowly, and it’s kind of sad as this was my favorite game by MILES.
Squish the base number on gear way closer together, where White is only slightly worse than blue or purple. Gear rarities already have additional augments for each rarity grade, having the base numbers almost identical will feel more rewarding for both the noob and chad. the noob will have to outplay, and the chad wont steamroll as easily.

Hunting Traps: Hunting Traps have been removed due to their imbalance and the fact Rangers have had it good for too long.

Phantomize is what stops melee classes way more than boc. Literally cant engage if we phantomize and flame walk. its so cheese.
As a fighter if I see a warlock clap his hands together I just run. There's no point, I'm never gonna out damage BoC as a melee class that is designed to do melee damage.

It does +20 additional damage, but it also takes into account the extra magic damage from staff, which I assume you already knew because you said 25.
HOWEVER, it also takes in any additional magic damage, which ofc base kit doesn't have... but it ALSO takes into account any magical power bonuses, which base kit DOES have. On top of that it also is affected by headshot modifier. Which means you have a base kit skill that can just add like 40-50 damage onto your attack for free.
No, I wasnt counting the staff damage - staff always does that. was counting the will + dmg bonus.
Oh, well it def aint 25. Go try some damage tests on the dummy with base kit warlock with optimized perks sometime.
The main problem comes from the scaling. If it were always just 20-25 extra damage in base kit I wouldn't care, but it being able to benefit from magical power, magical damage and also headshot modifier is just way too much damage. I would not care if it were always just 20 25 damage as you say. That's a perfectly reasonable chunk of extra damage for a melee skill. (Which begs the question, why is victory strike such awful trash compared to it? I would KILL for a 20 damage victory strike)

So a bonk with staff is 25 phys damage.
Activate BOC and it takes into account the magical damage.
So it adds 20 + 5 damage to the melee attack.
That's already a 50 damage melee strike.
Now we take into account for the 25 damage the +25% magical power. That ought to be 32 damage.
So 32+25 = 57.
Now we can apply that as a headshot modifier and we'll say the average player has 10% headshot reduction which means a 40% increase in damage. That's upping the damage to 80.
80 damage on a melee attack with a base kit warlock staff. Come on, that's a bit ridiculous, and it only gets more ridiculous when you add in a bit of scaling stats.
You should not be two tapping people that get within melee range of you as a base kit warlock with a staff.
Warlock combo, 1 curse of pain, 1 BoC at the head

mostly good changes but I find some unnecessary nerfs to already underused weapon nad some buf missing:
- I think longsword shouldn't be nerfed, if anything receive a slight buff to it has being a longsword figther realistically puts you at a disavantage if playing against someone that knows how to counter LS
- Viking sword has laready been changed several times and is in a good spot currently, your attack wind-up change would make it better than horsemans axe at every point
- I don't think maces need any change, only people realistically use them are cleric for lack of a better option
- Castillon dagger should be for all dagger instead has they are currenty in a bad spot and underused, rapier and short sword are better at any situation pretty much
- no need to nerf spears has they are only used by ranger basically, instead remove the 10% attack power bonus that rangers grab with their perk to not make it an even worse weapon for fighters
- feeling right now is good, even a very geared barb missing a hit can cost him the fight due to the recovery time or a naked fighter can be able to upset a fight by placing his hits well

Healing reduction is a step in the right direction. It should be interacting with curses and rebuffing to pull off damage and utility rather than the easy solution of flat M damage
Yep this is my opinion, I think one of the bigger issues with it is the fact it’s damage can scale with headshot which allows you to 1 shit or nearly one shot most classes
Warlock should have a varied selection of 1-strike abilities with a more interesting choice than just flat D. BoC - prevent healing for 15 sec (this alone could be insane in a team fight). Draining strike- heal for the amount of damage dealt. Cursed strike. Reset the curse duration and amplify of all cursed on target

Victory strike is arguably almost good enough to run, but its still just outclassed in general.

My opinion/suggestions - feel free to flame them as you see fit. I've gotten every class to 20 (except bard) and have done most content available as most classes. I'll start with what I consider my "main" - If I had to chose one class, it would be:
**Wizard **- Needs a buff and maybe a few more spells. A "Shotgun" type spell would be handy. Something with an Area of Effect without risking blasting yourself. Like Fire-Spray or Ice Shards. Short distance, wide area, low damage per projectile / high projectile count. A Zone Spell would be nice, too. Ice Wall / Arcane Barrier - Something big enough to block a door for a few seconds. Maybe even longer than a few seconds but destructible.
Their defensive perks NEED some love. They're not worth it. The "frostbite" on Ice Shield is barely (if at all) noticeable and the 20 armor is 2% damage reduction. If a goblin hits me for 50 dmg, it reduces the damage by 1. But it does nothing for the poison. Reactive Shield is more like Reactive Wet Napkin. It can soak up...nothing. It doesn't change the number of hits it takes for anything to kill you (except maybe spiders).
Their perks are lacking. I'd suggest something that allows for slightly faster spell recovery during rest, so that Meditation isn't all but essential. Not so fast as to make Meditation irrelevant, but fast enough to use Intense Focus without sacrificing 25% of your run resting to recover your spells.
Maybe a perk that allows for your Knowledge Stat to replace your Strength Stat when using either a Crystal Ball & Weapon or Crystal Sword.
Give Reactive Shield a bonus vs. Ranged Damage? Maybe emit a Knockback effect when melee damage triggers it?
A perk that doubles the number of times you can cast each spell. That would make Meditate less of a requirement.

As for your perk suggestion I think not just wiz but every class besides warlock needs a perk rebalance as there are so many that are never used or not really worth using over others. I do however disagree with the faster recover of spells and that meditate is required. Early on it is Definitely good as it allows you to get back a good amount of spells but once you get a good amount of clarity there is no reason to run it over intense focus or more spells. So I belive it to be fine where they are right now. Maybe some spell capacity changes for some spells will be needed. IE I think zap should cost 1 more

But if they really were bad in 3v3 then why would they change them if the minority in solos doesnt matter?

Moving on to Fighter.
I realize Fighter is the most played class, but realistically, they're the most underpowered. This is due to their poor stat distribution. Specifically the 15 Knowledge. Opening portals and shrines quicker just doesn't justify the stat sink. Barbarian has double the Strength right off the bat. I think this can be easily mitigated by including a perk that subtracts Knowledge and replaces those stats with Strength/Agi. Maybe a perk that Does -5 Knowledge for +5 Strength and another perk that would -5 Will for +5 Agility. Or something to that effect. Not necessarily those exact numbers. But I believe that if something like that was included, it would become as universal as Second Wind. -5 Knowledge for +5 Strength would be immediately employed by almost every Fighter Main in the game.
Most of their perks are well designed and work. However, I've done some testing and I think (I may be wrong) I've found that the "Counterattack" perk only activates with the "Perfect Block" Skill. Again - I've tested this, and I rarely notice a difference after blocking an attack UNLESS I have Perfect Block Equipped, successfully "Perfect Block" an attack (with the sound effect), and immediately counterattack. In that situation, there is a NOTICEABLE attack and movement speed increase. Aside from that, almost never anything noticeable.
Shield Slam is worthless. The range to impact an opponent is shorter than the range you hold it while equipped. You have to be virtually ON TOP of the target. When you use it - the shield ceases being a shield and attacks can penetrate it.
Taunt could be reworked. Maybe rework the damage reduction so that if you're in a party of 3, everyone gets 10%, if you're duo's, you both get 15%, and solo, you get 30%. Didn't mean to reply.
But since I accidently replied to you already, I'd say that if you have good aim, you'll do work. But if your aim isn't spectatular, you'll be too slow and probably worked by a naked barb.

Cleric.
They're actually kind of Over Powered. That's all. They're in a really good place. A good Cleric can be a headache for any class. But a bad cleric is easy loot. And they're virtually essentially to serious "High Level" content. I'd like to see more weapons available, though. A Flail would be awesome. I'd also like to see a Talisman or Rosary capable of casting Cleric Spells in One Hand and Bopping things with my other. Crystal Ball style, but with a cleric. That might be too much, though. They're already the most powerful class, IMHO.

Fighter second wind gets longer duration with the Will stat, but only heals for a fixed 50%. It should have a base 50% heal and recover more hp if you have positive buff duration.

This game currently has a major issue with the Warlock's damage output. Even Fighters are almost instantly defeated, which is a clear indication of a significant balance problem. I urge you to promptly reduce the Warlock's damage output and adjust it to a more appropriate balance.
.jaysavvy, rather than a stat-allocation perk, what if the fighter got more ways to use will and knowledge? The devs have thought of implementing scrolls, which the fighter could utilize.
Instead of forcing knowledge on bards for spell memory make it coupled to the quality of the instruments as it's currently mostly meaningless and alleviates pure Stat necessity while keeping gear reliance

I don't think warlock damage output is the main problem here it's just that fighter barely has any magic resistance , and by adding some more options for fighter to get more magic res would be correct choice. Even if u right now went full magic res with fighter u would be vulnerable to physical attacks because it would be kinda like 30% magic res + 40% phys and that 30% magic res wouldn't do shit to protect you. So it's not even worth going for magic res and best choice would be just stack as much dr as possible , and use different strategies to combat warlocks-wizards instead going straight for any of the mages. Which again well any mage class will do extremely well against fighters and is supposed to and vice versa.

Longsword is also the most non-meta weapon in the game that you can't even sell an all +weapon damage purple longsword for more than 150g. It's slow, has an extreme MS penalty, and parry-riposte is skill dependent and only counters barbs since most other classes either fight from range or too close for parry to be consistent.

Heater, not kite*, and Heater also reduces speed significantly more while blocking, which is how it's used. In addition, Shield is fighter's most primary tool - akin to spells on a wizard.
If you get one tapped by a bow or crossbow from a fighter, you were out of position and providing a headshot without moving.

There have been times where by the time I've recovered from block staggered, with counterattack and shield mastery, I'm already trying to block warmaul barbarian... not sure how I'm gonna use the extra movement when I can't stop their swinging to get into range. Also blocking the hilt of the hammer is finnicky from personal experience

No, felling axe with crush will light stagger round shields and do nothing to heater shields
Also the amount of impact power doesn't make the stagger last longer, there are no stagger, light stagger and heavy stagger
First if your impact power is lower than blocking power, second if they are equal and third if impact power is higher and war maul has 6 impact power without crush, it can stagger heater shields (with 5 blocking power) even without the perk
if you're a good player you'll look into how other classes play so you know which classes are strong, which are weak, and how to counter them.

some fights I don't take depending on location or I kite them where I want, just because I can fight them doesn't mean I counter them

bring explosive bottles, barbs have positive will and explosive bottles are AOE magic damage. you'll ruin a warlock's day
tbh now if they do hydra in a doorway I jump over and if they put in the open I consider whacking it 2 times with warmaul and warlock loses a good part of his hp casting it

i dont play barb, but a explosive bottle does like 20 dmg if u stand in it, and a lock wil regen faster than an explosize bottle will do anything
It's not about hydra, it's the fact that they run faster than you and they slowly drain you hp with curse of pain and use phantomize when you finally reach them
not really, they need to mad stack mag healing now because it's only 25% scaling. they halved healing potential in a hotfix recently

Warlocks are rough for barb if they have a brain. It's not really hydra that's the problem, so much as kiting with flamewalker/phanomize while lifestealing
