So I posted some ideas on a thread prior, but I've thought of even better ideas to really make Barb a lot fairer to play against while keeping them fun to play as.
The following are my reworks:
[Axe Specialization]
Increases your attack speed by 10% when using an axe weapon.
[Berserker]
Using your fists grants a 30% increase in attack speed and 10% increase in attack power.
[Crush]
Grants the ability to destroy unreinforced doors and sturdy containers in one hit with two-handed weapons. Also grants penetration power to your attacks, allowing you to continue an attack uninterrupted when hitting containers, pots or vases.
[Iron Will]
Increases magic resistance by 50.
Increases projectile resistance by 25.
[Morale Boost]
Increases attack speed by 20% for 15 seconds after an enemy is killed.
[Savage]
Increases attack speed by 15% when not wearing chest armor.
[Rage]
Increases damage by 5 and movement by 15% for the next 5 seconds.
Reduces damage resistance by 30% during this time.For each hit you deal to an enemy while active, Rage will reset.
[Savage Roar]
Frightens all enemies within 7.5m for 6 seconds and reduces their physical damage bonuses by 15%.

Better matchmaking would be great for newer players. It's been shown that games that can't bring in new players on a consistant basis die out very quickly. It's not fun to load into map after map just to continually get slaughtered by fully geared players when you're level 1/2/3 and just trying to learn the game.

My suggestion is for bard buffs to be colour coded based on instrument, as per the class screen.

down the line i could see a soul heart merchant, take the hearts of people you kill and give them in for a small reward maybe like X amount for a openable jar or box with some goodies like potions lockpicks or what ever
I think there should be a durability counter on equipment that gets decreased everytime you extract which can prevent the use of OP equipment and killing lobbies for lowbies late in the wipe. (perma stat debuff per X amount of extractions)
Also to prevent equipment from being traded infinitely ad nauseam - equipment taken from other dungeon delvers get a perma negative stat debuff straight away (everytime it gets taken from a dead body) which will help prevent over circulation of OP equipment and keep the market healthy and dungeons not full of over geared people - just reposting because I remembered theres a suggestion channel
There is no match making based on gear/level and no plan to implement it.

yeah im tired of cleric meta its just tough luck to run into a barb cleric bard or fighter cleric bard combo. if you dont have a cleric youre just worse off than everyone else.
<@&1048757675934089300> Lockpicks currently are very scarce, and usually feel underwhelming when used. Some chests are not even worth opening, such as locked bronze ornate chests. A fix to this would be that lockpicks have a chance to be reused when the lockpicking QTE succeeds. The chance of the lockpicks surviving could be based on your resourcefulness, the chest grade (with rarer chests having a lower chance of lockpicks surviving), and how well timed the QTE was (as close to center of red as possible).

@eager sable Implement a gear/level scoring system based on item averages. If a player is defeated by an opponent with a **significantly **higher level/gear score, they wouldn't lose equipped wearables (only items in inventory and consumables). This would encourage lower-level players to engage with higher-level ones as they would have little to lose and a lot to gain while slightly discouraging well-equipped players from targeting much weaker ones, as they can lose a lot but not gain too much if they're way below them. Additionally by giving weaker players the opportunity to keep a bit more gear they can participate in boss fights and D3/High roller as currently they're missing out on these sections of the game entirely as they're gear dependent for most people to survive.
I believe this solution maintains a single player pool and accessibility without compromising engagement intensity for hardcore players. Though more items will exist in the economy, they will be lower level non valuable ones for the most part, thus not being a real issue. I think this will help to sustain player numbers, reduce queue times, and extend the game's lifespan while ensuring an enjoyable experience for all proficiency tiers.

@eager sable Right heres the actual solution for fully stacked players dominating the gearless:
Add a gearscore system (each piece of gear has a numbered rating, better the gear, the higher it's gearscore rating. Usually this is just a numerical value). Then if your total rating is too high you will only be able to queue for certain dungeons, or HR, or a combination of both. Meaning a full purple/blue meta 3stack team can only queue B3 or perhaps HR B2. So no more sweeping thru entire lobbies of starting players in the normal Crypt or Ruins.
We already have the idea that each dungeon gets progressively harder but contains better loot the further we go down. Why should players with B3 gear be running around B0/(B1/)B2?
This may seem overkill atm, but as the devs are planning to add plenty more dungeons I believe this will practically be necessary, or else the smurfing will be unbearable.
Exactly. It's more a sidegrade and rework to the current kit. Get rid of the parts people find unfun but introduce parts that expand more on Barb's ferocity and tenacity.

Barb isnt meant to do dps, honestly. its meant to be burst through heavy hits. only viable dps is horsemans, and that takes some sacrifice to make work
It's not nerfing the DPS potential, but rather the instant damage output. Think about how fast Barb can swing axes with Morale Boost/Savage and Axe Specialization, while also having one more perk slot.

Making barbarian swing fast will literally kill its ability to deal intense damage instead of periodic damage over tbe course of multiple swings, and a fighter will exploit that

My suggestion would be for selected mulitple things Trade would sort out items that has everything you selected, instead of showing all items from those categories. For example selected plate armor and strength should show you Plate Armors with Strength. Not every plate armor and every item with strength
the axe specialization is great but i promise you, the speed will make people complain

Yes ! And just like warriors, being able to parry with «light long bladed weapons » such as katanas would help it more being teamplayers rather than always trying to poke, stabbing enemies with rogues.
Having a similar agility / strength based playstyle but also making it that we can help our team in front line would feel so cool !

This would address my key issues with the weapons that are either too heavy (ex. Longbow), too light (ex. Spellbook) or feel like they shouldn't reduce mobility that much due to how they are held (ex. Quarterstaff). This would probably better balance the game, too, and give people more incentive to using certain weapons they likely wouldn't have otherwise thought of using.

resting system :
it is too slow for the match time if i want to rest and heal for 60 hp i have to wait for a minute it should heal for a 1.5 hp a second or at least 1.25 hp.

I agree the resting takes far too long. If they were to improve the speed you regain the grey health maybe they could make the action of sitting/standing up a bit slower to make it even riskier when enemies are around
You can just use potions. Helps speed the recovery process.
Yes there are many alternate healing methods but it doesn't change the fact that the resting mechanic simply takes too long

Yeah the fact that I can get matched against a 3 stack of level 15+ chads in greens/blues as a level 1 fresh char is pretty mind blowing to me
we have the circle to avoid rats people are camping around the Minds waiting for someone to mine and then they literally will team up to kill you and then they kill each other for the rest don't know if there's a way to fix that but I have gone in three times I have had decent Gear and then I get killed because I either can't hear them because of the pig sound or I get jumped by a dude who's just been staring at me potentially for the entire time

Agreed. I think the playerbase will really suffer if nothing is done. Which will increase queue times, thus driving off more players and starting a viscous cycle we can observe from previous games.
so i dont know how to add suggestions but if anyones interested, i would like to see an "enchanter", as a tab or merchant service, where one could switch item enchantments for a fee and at the cost of the sacrifice item. so if i had a green ( 1 enchant ) badger pendant with a damage buff and a green Heavy Boots with a +2 agility buff, you could sacrifice the boots and replace the damage buff on the badger pendant with the agility buff from the boots so my badger pendant would now give me the +2 agility buff

i would think the enchantments on gear would already affect the selling price? surely a pair of boots with an agility buff is worth more to a rogue than the same boots but with a knowledge buff
No mean the boots with knowledge would sell for more since you could transfer the knowledge to a pendant or ring or something

sounds great, the fortune teller is kinda useless atm
but in your worries for a return of investment on whatever pendant you make from the boots you would need to sell it for enough to cover the value of the boots, the pendant itself, and the fee for the enchanter ( im thinking 50 or 100 gold ) which i cant speak for everyone but a pendant with +2 knowledge isnt worth that much to me, but it could be useful for turning those junk/unequippable items into something that can give you a small edge if you have the money to spare
[Shrine of Return]
A shrine that allows you to return one item back to your stash while in the match, not including any items that you have managed to procure in the match.
This shrine takes 60 seconds to activate, and upon doing so will allow you to return the item of choice back to your stash.
This does come at a cost, however, as you will have to either:
-Sacrifice an item of equivalent value or higher
-Reduce your maximum health by 50% for the remainder of the match

Had another idea pop into my head.
Part of the games charm is that the gameplay is slow and the skill gaps are easy to overcome. If you add many mechanics like shield parries or something like that, it can quickly become too frustrating for newer players
Blocking right now is already frustrating to play against and you need to get out some tricks to get past the damn turtle players. Especially if your weapon has a very predictable pattern (all overhead)

You know, it would be nice if Ranger:
-Had Quickshot, Forceful Shot and Penetrating Shot removed
-Had Field Rations nerfed to 2 charges
-Had Quick Fire be given a lessened cooldown
-Had Multishot use 3 tightly spread arrows that deal 75% damage each if fired together
-Had True Shot be given the effects of Forceful Shot and Penetrating Shot added to it
-Have two new arrow skills that allow him to burn or slow enemies with fire OR ice arrows
-Have a new skill that lets him reload crossbows significantly faster
-Have a new skill that allows him to create arrows from the surrounding area, unless he has 10 arrows
That way Field Rations and Quickshot don't have to be the damn meta for the character.

The last thing this game needs are stale, optimal builds everyone and their mother will run. All abilities should be an option, not a necessity.

In all honesty, a lot of the kits of the characters need some genuine reworks. The current emphasis on making the most optimal builds is not fun and will likely stifle the game's appeal in the long run.

I'd rather all kits be reworked so that there can be more build diversity. That means:
-Balancing out some of the Perks and Skills that are more problematic and centralizing and making them options, not necessities
-Removing some of the Perks and Skills that do not need to be there and can create clearly degenerative gameplay styles
-Adding new Perks and Skills that offer a unique ability that makes them viable options
Imagine if you will: A map twice or thrice the size with two different circles that might or might not intersect. Maybe a slightly longer timer too. Thoughts on this?
There should be an option to report the RMT' ers or maybe like an assignment to players to moderate the trade chat and ban RMT' ers. They are advertising their sites in game in the trade chats. The sooner we can get rid of them the less they spread and advertise to new players.

I think it's better to collect data about how those cheats work and how farmers do their job. Because if you learn from that you can prevent it in the future. And then you ban all the people involved.

I feel like crystal swords have no use case in this game, its always better to take a crystal ball if you want a melee weapon in hand, or a book because the cast is faster and it has a better animation that doesn't hit ceilings.
I think they should change the cast animation on the sword to be a palm thrust with the off hand to stop it from hitting things, and perhaps give it a spell casting damage modifier that is lower than the others. Make that bad boy useable.

they are better on average, but loot luck makes it way more profitable
50 gold entry fee, making 200g on trinkets, thats 150g profit. Which is the high end of a normal goblin run. Doesn't feel worth to me, ill give it a whirl.
Part of the issue with goblin HR is that everyone is trying to run it in low gear. The idea of HR is you go in kitted, and therefore everyone does, and you get stuff off the other people. But no one is playing it that way, meaning that you're stuck with whatever loot is on the map

Can I be honest? I think the current Stash is actually not good for the game. Basically would be better if the Stash was overhauled and Gold became a non-factor to the space of the stash.

Caves HR does not seem that worth with it you only want to use it when the loot is capable of dropping atleast legendaries otherwise it doesn't make that big of an impact
(P2W)lootpages dont have value unless they are account wide. but even so, loot pages should be purchasable with gold, not any sort of alternate currency
A few criticisms:
- Some weapons will never be used simply due to their stats or movesets being dogwater, or because other weapons can literally put you in place and still be too effective
- Zweihanders are much more imbalanced than spears
- Quarterstaff would dominate the barbarian base
- Spellbook will forever be the best catalyst until it's slower than another one
I think that additional loot pages would only work if and only if they cost a shit ton of the Gold you have.
Incorrect loot pages would only be account bound...using cash to buy them would help keep the lights on...as per servers running and paying employees which in life cost real $$$

I think this game is too premature. it has a fantastic base with great PVP and the PVE is about where it needs to be. i think the main drawback is the lack of progress. I will kill tons of people and make thousands of gold until i hit lvl 15 and im basically done. all i can do is more challenging content but i dont have any incentive beyond climbing a leaderboard or making a dream lineup for gear.
in the long-term it would be nice to have more perma upgrades that can be bought with gold. to give me something to work towards that cant be lost all in one go... like a full set of purples. Tarkov has a hideout and reputation system that progressively unlocks store stock, adding variety to raid options.
but DaD can take a different approach. maybe shared guild halls that are with construction that provide stash tabs. shared guild tabs so that friends can set up each other without the burn of trade fees. contracts from the adventurer guild to earn more gold for killing x amount of skeletons or bringing back mimic tongues, etc

I thought about this how the developers would probably think about it by adding something that would greatly balance out how the stash would work. People want additional space so much, but I think there should be a price to pay for that space by making players use Silver to expand their stashes.
Silver was chosen because of its otherwise relative non-function at the moment, so this use would give it significantly greater purpose until more can be given to it.
Likewise, the Treasury was added because of the fact that Gold and Silver take up too much space. Instead, why not just expand the role of the Treasurer and allow him to hold onto your coin? And if you want more, you better pay him.
Additional stash tabs will be sold in the store for real money 💰....Ironmace needs to make money and the store is the incentives to build their brand and keep the lights on...so get ready stash tabs will be for sale in the store eventually 😎

I think the long term goals of the game are the exact same long term goals of Tarkov, that being the fact that after you get Kappa or Crown level on all traders, it comes down to your interactions with other people in the matches you play. DaD will face the same type of issue when quests are implemented or you set your own goal of grabbing a Unique, afterwards you can't really feel like you can progress anymore.
Games with a heavy PvP element rely on the player-to-player interaction to keep replayability up moreso than a progressive quest system, which I can concede sounds like the cop-out of "try something new lol".
Darker and Darker isn't pay to win but they need to sell skins and other accessories to boost your account which makes you happy then it helps them pay bills and funds ironmace as a whole it's a healthy transaction to keep the lights on

Well let me put it in a different way that makes my point a bit clearer:
In PoE, I can experience all the gameplay the game has to offer without paying a cent, there is no barrier to entry, no paywall, nothing. If I spent exactly $0 on PoE, I don't lose out on stuff that other people can experience, I just don't look good while doing it.
In DaD for my case, I paid $50 for an early access game that is under threat of a SLAPP suit and was told I have to either play for an absurdly large amount of time or spend an additional $10 to get both Bard and Warlock. I can't play nearly as much as the game requires of me to unlock that because:
- I got a job
- my extraction rate is only at like 60% for the few matches I play.
In that regard, I have to pay the $10 to play a class, and most likely will have to continue to pay $10 for every 3/4 classes afterwards because of the reasons previously mentioned. I don't get the full gameplay experience despite the intial price, it's like day 1 DLC with SFxT.
Now if the game was feature complete and bard/warlock did not exist until after the game was feature complete, I probably wouldnt've cared as much since I remember Mr. Terence in an interview with Pestily saying the game's monetization would be similar to Hunt:Showdown/Dead by Daylight (timestamp of 1:02:04 in that interview) and was completely fine with it.

You can already transfer items between characters by trading items from character A to a friend who then trades to character B, which costs 60 gold total. Adding this feature would allow for solo's to transfer items without issue, while maintaining a gold tax for it.

In my opinion this game is gonna have a big problem which worries me alot. At the most after a few weeks your inventory is basically flooded with gold that you don't even know what to do with it other similar games like tarkov there are lots of quests and hideout upgrades that always keep you in need of money and motivated to play and do stuff but for now there is no such thing about dark and darker . In playtests because the game would last only for about a week this issue was subtle but now that it is an early access I hope devs come up with an idea to make the game last for the next wipe even adding a high durability for armors and weapons might work (for instance a crystal ball breaks after 500-1000 times of casting spell) it keeps the market unflooded in the future cause raid after raid items are spawned and there is noway to remove them from the game even after death you are probably looted and the other player is gonna use or sell it which doesn't solve the matter . Again it's just an opinion which is based off of my concern about this beautiful game and might be even wrong thank you
Quest items are already in the game. The just didnt bring it with EA. Once season 1 starts, im pretty confident they are adding quests

Isnt it nice going into ruins with your duo and you run across a trio fully geared with cleric and you get rolled. Revert spawn rates and make duo option and the game is 10x better
i think currently we have a playerbase that would support duos, but as they add more maps this might be more or a problem. Duos def feels like your playing as solo rats x2 or like a neutered trio. Best way ive been able to make it work is by running a ranger with traps and taking out 1 of the 3 right off the bat to make it an even fight but its not a surefire success for sure
Barbarians should have some way to interact with resting. Their whole thing is having a bunch of hp, and raging through wounds. Having to sit down for 2 minutes to slowly heal your hp back sucks. Maybe a perk to heal faster or something
tbh I fought 2v3 duos with a buddy at the end of last PT and it didn't seem to be that much of an issue
Most 3 mans have a support like Bard or Cleric anyway so you just focus on taking them out and then it's a 2v2 on even ground
2v3 is miles apart easier than 1v3 the only reason you'd want a duo mode is if you're playing Solo really tbh like in Hunt
since 1v2 isn't as soul crushing, but we already have a solo mode so I think it's a waste of resources and will just split up the servers even more

The Solution: Monthly subscription to become a Professional Dungeoneer. There are no in-game advantages, but Dungeoneers can create and join Guilds. Guilds will have their own Guild Chat and, most importantly, their own Tavern instance! Guild Leaders/Managers can spend gold donated by the guild members to expand and decorate their tavern instance. Taverns could have minigames, target dummies, etc.
Guild Taverns will be where players spend their downtime in between runs, or where they find friends and team members. This will add a whole new social dimension to the game, helping establish positive player culture and also giving more dedicated players something to pour their excess gold into. Guilds will give players multiple reasons to keep playing, even after having max level and a full stash, simultaneously sustaining the playerbase and the company.
not bad, I don't see too many people doing a monthly subscription though.
Warlock Idea
When you cast debuffing spells as Warlock, a few of those spells have a red indicator with various symbols at the top of the player/creature you cast it on. What if we changed it so that one of them is a circle, another is the triangles, and a third finishes the effect into a pentagram that when fully completed by the casting of all 3 spells on one target, causes all their individual effects to be enhanced on the target, or there could be one big effect upon completion of the pentagram like a large amount of damage inflicted to incentivize fast spellcasting and layering on debuffs, which is the Warlocks class identity.
SUGGESTION, QUIT LETTING SPELLS HIT DEAD BODIES! ( invisible, faster speed, heals, shields, etc)

We Need a 2s comp mode where its just 2v2 instead of 3v3 or 1v1 everyone is running the meta comp and as someone who doesn't have 3 ppl to play with at all times its hard to just run a 2v3 in games when its always against a BARD/CLARIC/FIGHTER comp

Rogue double jump having a timer just like every other skill in the game. Crazy rogues are the only class that has the ability to have unlimited skill pops as they want. Most other classes have to regen or campfire to get said skills back.

NGL bard/cleric/barb comp is always viable ive been running 2v3's with just me and my homie as a barb and weve clapped those team comps. its about who yu go for first and how you play the fight.
Having a 2 comp doesn't effect anything you will still have your meta hoppers still have your 3v3 comps and if anything it will open up the game for more people

Only ones u should be aware is rogue rats (Disgusting creatures) that are trying to find group when in actually they are waiting for you to die. Basically their strats are find a group , run around , help a bit , pretending that he's dumb , u get in combat , rat doesn't help , we die he hides takes all of our loot , extracts , leaves group and then finds another group and process repeats.

I understand doing seasonal wipes for inventories (I still don't like losing all my stuff but whatever), but deleting characters too is a really bad idea. With how long it takes to get a character to LVL 15, you are discouraging people from experimenting with various classes and being forced to unlock all of the classes they want to play again every season.
If a player enjoys playing all of the classes, they would have to grind each and every one every single season.
Add a Bard skill that doesnt need to rely on a instrument. Example could be him singing a song or using a howling screech. He Could be using his voice or using his surroundings/equipment to make an amplifying sound to cause damage or a effect

How about making the Gear Wipe every 60 days but with a system to grind! For example: You get points depending on rounds played/rounds escaped or some sort of account - level (do not force the player to level up every class please!) and those points and everything that got purchased with them will never be wiped. What can you purchase? No Items, but stuff like extra inventory space (like 1%, stackable to 10% for example), some legendary Skins, 1x1 but stackable up to 3x3 Storage-Place where anything put there will not be affected by the wipe. You know, some nice to have stuff that wont give you extra power, but gives you any form of grind. You could even make a little bit of supporting money with it by buying a Lifetimeticket which gives you an extra point/some % extra points per wipe depending on the pricing of the "Buffs" and points gained. For example: User1 played 50 Games (5/5 Points, set a limit against the afks!), escaped 10 (10/10 Points) and killed 25 enemy players ( 5/5 Points ) while killing one red boss ( 3/9 Points) and because of his Lifetimeticket for some extra Game supporting bucks he gets an extra 5 Points per wipe. Now is he able to buy anything with the 28 Points, like the new Shoe Skin for 25 Points, 1 extra line of inventory for 25 points or a 1x1 non-wipeable storage field for 20 points. And if he plays for 3 wipes and saved up some tryhard 200 Points, he can get the epic Ninja Rouge Skin! I would love to see any form of that, or atleast something to grind even with full item/level wipes!

I would prefer for people who want something like that we got Seasonal and Permanent servers after the game is live for awhile and gathers enough people for it to not hurt the game with Seasonal characters when a Season ends becoming a Permanent server character instead of being deleted.
30-60 Days Wipe with grindsystem: getting points by playing, killing players, slaying bosses and escaping. Buy cosmetics or non-combataffecting buffs like more stash space with them that are not effected by the wipe.
Yeah would be fun to grind on some skins/emotes/actions that only 5% of playerbase would grind for few wipes just maybe not with a point system
Permanent servers don't make a TON of sense right now due to not having enough content to justify it as well as the community that's actually playing being too small (but that's due to not being on steam). I'd say a Permanent server would be fine once they've been on Steam for awhile.
I'd love prestige skins/emotes like the Red Skeleton skin for example. Just nothing actually functional that is exclusive.

The amount of time people have is subjective. I understand loot and inventory resets every season but resetting characters is just a waste of time. Because if you want to experiment with multiple characters you're punished the hardest by having to earn all of that back

The real reason is because magic staff as a weapon is ass and the book is so good because it has the least movement penalty on classes that prefer either to not to go into melee or wants to keep up to enemies.

I've actually been saying buff the Magic staff by giving them rolled built in spells that aren't from classes with the Junk rarity having a very MEH unique spell. Something like "Magic Dart" being basically 1 Magic Missile projectile instead of a chain of them but slightly faster projectile speed.

Purely all Fighter needs for a nerf is to lower the damage reduction cap; it's their main way to cheese the game.
Remove 2 players being able to spawn in same room in goblin caves on the west side of the map. Rangers can take free shots at you if you spawn behind the fence you have to break.

I think there should be a hidden gear score of some sort that restricts an amount of high level gear in regular dungeons. I dont think its right to have players who are just starting out mixed in with groups that are using all blues, sometimes greens, purples and even legendaries.

I don't think any skins are or ever will be pay to win simply because gear goes over it all. atleast not in a visual sense. theres still discussion to be had about the stats the skins have but im not qualified for that.
The only reason I even mention it, is in the case of the Barbarian where you may not be wearing a chest and it could, in theory, blend better in hiding. Even more specifically with the Orc Skin.

Just wanted to say that its been two times i go out in goblin cave with a full rare gear ( that has adequate rolls for a rogue ). Two times i get one shot by litteraly a staff melee attack from an occultist.
And a barbarian with nothing just a grey two handed axe.

I think they need to fix Bard and make it so that you need to play all of the music to get any great music playing. Being able to get "great music playing" even if you miss half of your beats is so stupid.
I'm not sure what it's been, but the game is progressively getting more and more miserable to play the more my friends and I play. Feels like we're perma-poor because we can't go enough rounds without getting absolutely shitstomped by squads of full blues and purples in the NORMAL dungeons.
Fighter doesn't need to be nerfed, Damage Reduction Cap needs to be lowered; it's the only thing that Fighter does that is busted (95% Damage Reduction is the cap).

He shouldn't be rewarded for missing notes. It's either granting negative status effects or severely weakening the positive ones if missing notes.

It's a mini-boss that will likely dig your grave and take you to it if you don't play careful, hence the choice of name.
As a support character, I'm of the opinion that Bard is hilariously overpowered in terms of how strong it is in support, utility, and overall making fights incredibly one sided against teams that don't have a bard (barring a significant skill/gear issue). Some of Bard's spells are absolutely absurd when it comes to both tanking allies, buffing them, and debuffing enemies, all while being free to endlessly spam these spells with no real limit other than the time it takes to cast.
With how annoying and oppressive the buff-bubble meta has been for the longest time now, I'm kind of amazed some of what Bard is able to do made it past the initial testing.

How on earth is it balanced that a rangers trap can one shot a rogue before you can even have a slight chance of getting out of it? and thats whithout the ranger shooting at you? think the lockpick part of hunting traps should be removed

Cocktrice, and cetnipede are ridic op way to much HP, shouldnt be 40+ arrows to the face and then beating it with a sword only to die to circle closen cause it take way to long to even kill..
Harmonic Shield giving +50 to both physical and magic defense is a good place to start, and that's not even factoring in the fact that it lasts for 2 minutes. As long as the bard keeps this spell up (which is incredibly easy), all of their teammates will have an infinite ~12% resistance to all incoming damage. Let's also combine with with Ballad of Courage giving a whopping +30 to physical power, which with any decent setup turns the user's weapon into what can be compared to a nuclear bomb on a stick (which also lasts for 2 god damn minutes). For the cherry on top, let's also throw Beats of Alicrity on there, giving the Bard and their friends an entire 25 movement speed for, who would've guessed, 2 minutes.
Shriek of Weakness is also just silly, essentially forcing anyone fighting their party to have their armor rating chopped down by 60 as long as the Bard keeps playing. At that point though it's just overkill.
Let's take all this, and realize that Bard ALSO has Chorale of Clarity which can essentially remove his Cleric's biggest weakness of limited spells with no ease of access to spell regen to make a perfect synergy of both support characters being able to infinitely sustain an unstoppable freight train of a Fighter that, with just a bit of decent gear, will absolutely NUKE lobbies with little to no effort.
Ballad & Beats of Alacrity are self only buffs. Rest of the stuff you said is valid tho

I played every playtest but havent had much time to play this version and im really behind in gear and its terribly annoying and impossible to catch up while being farmed by people who have been playing this game non stop with full blue gear

Big true. Despite how much I use it, I will never not hate Judgement for how it just throws skill out the window in favor of allowing a cleric to instantly nuke half of their opponent's HP by clicking a lightning fast spell. Just horrific design.
They should make resell with traders higher. Campfires sell for like 3 gold which incentivizes market selling. But then there is a 15 gold fee so your stuck. No one really buys items like that in bulk. Potions are bought in bulk but the fee gets rid of like half the value of the trade. Making the fee lower or resell higher would make the whole system better. Making the fee different based on the market would be the best tho. You could sell low value items (like potions) at the utility or misc market for a lower fee and high value items like weaponry to specialized “class” markets for the higher fee. Or, to keep the market slower if you don’t want more people selling; up resale value to merchants which would keep the market mostly high value with important items. It all depends on what you guys aim for but in its current state you accumulate stuff that’s not worth selling in bulk and end up getting screwed on items worth 30-50 gold. (I luv the game btw!!!)

on crypts hell level there needs to be three man escape portals in the very last zone, its unbelievealbe that there isnt, one escape portal was all there was in a hell run where no one else was but us and two of us die with easily 1500-2000gold sets of purples on, please force there to be atleast one threeman blue escape portal in the very last zone of crpyt floor 2 aka hell
If we removed the ability to use shields on Clerics and made Judgement 3 seconds of casting time, I think they'll be in a great spot. They already have enough stuff for survivability and offense.

The range on Judgement is VEEEEERY short, like I don't think you can appreciate just how short it is unless you play cleric for a while
And if it had a three second cast time ANY class would have enough time to back out of range making the skill fail, or they could just come hit you as I mentioned before
heres a suggestion, after a successful tumble ( rogue ), grants a temporary buff ( can be speed or damage boost for like 3 / 5 seconds )

Ballad of Courage does NOT affect teammates only themselves which is temporary power comparable to other classes using better weapons than Bard can hold. Chorale of Clarity is alot slower than you think and takes awhile to use effectively. Harmonic Shield for sure is strong but I think they should have that spell tbh, it gives an alternative to healing. Beat of Alacrity is self only. Shriek of Weakness is lovely and I agree it's strong but I don't think it's overpowered.
I would rather have Permanant and Seasonal servers with Seasonal to Permanant migration for characters. It'll make more sense when the community is larger (aka on Steam) and there's more content (full release).
Think people are trying to sell bad items too often or misjudge their price. Imo they need to change merchants a bit, reduce the buy price of white items by about a third since the value isnt there, increase the revenue from selling greens slightly so people will vendor more stuff. Also highroller probably drops too much loot
I feel like the Inferno with the new enemies should probably have a slower circle than it does. Not by much though.

My mistake regarding team buffs vs self buffs was already pointed out to me, but thanks. I’m not going to get into specifics as that could probably turn into a novel, but I’ll leave it at this, then we can agree to disagree:
I feel bard in its current state is extremely unhealthy for the game’s meta, as the class bolsters the already infuriating strategy of buff-balling that dominated the game for the last 3 playtests, except now it has a new support character even better at creating an unstoppable bulldozer of a fighter/barbarian than wizard ever was. I don’t know what needs to be done to fix bard, as most of its biggest problems stem from its absolutely DISGUSTING synergy with cleric, and is something I don’t think simple number changes will fix, but I do know that something needs to be done or things are going to get stale fast.
Bard needs spell charges! They have 100% uptime and every team is just W key wiping teams out. Fighter is really tanky right now but if Bard has spell chargers it will make it more balanced.
This is supposed to be rock paper scissors type combat but Bard has 100% up time, spamable Buffs, debuffs, and AoE dmg that hits all levels and through walls is out of control.

This is mostly because they pierce walls with their AoEs and it's a cylinder AoE instead of a sphere (which it should be a sphere). If the AoE was a sphere this could still happen but within more reason where it'd be escapable instead of feeling absolutely horrible to be on the otherside of.
I don't think it needs spell charges, I think it having cooldowns might be the better way with them being on a per song basis. Some spells might not need a cooldown where others would get them.
I do agree it can be unhealthy, I do like the idea of buffing though. It's something I enjoy in alot of other games. However it might be too much and I'm just not seeing it. Cleric synergy with it might be something to look at though and rework as it might be far too much.

Another option is adding something like "Lung Capacity" so playing a song too many times you don't have the air for it. Like a stamina bar of sorts for specifically playing instruments. Breaks up the casts abit without adding cooldowns or casts.
Just add Spell Charges like every other class, its simple and doesnt take any game breaking coding

I think that making them less threatening in a fight is the better option, limiting their lung capacity so their casts are abit more split up with maybe incuring a penalty for completely exerting yourself would be better.

Buff Balling is a thing because they have unlimited buff/debuffs. Bards are never resting/campfire so Clerics and Fighters are also just W keying

Love the game, I wanted to share 2 opinions that IMO could help the game's balance and enjoyment;
Remove safe zone:
Personally I don't think is a good mechanic having a Safe Zone in a Loot&Extract game. It leads to cheesy/boring tactics and to unbalance between teams (Most of the time, beaucse of the safe zone shrinkin, games are most likely "everyone loot then forced to push the middle where the Fighter/Cleric/Bard team awaits you, more unbalanced if you play Solo/Duo)
Rework Extraction
Having solos blue pillars I don't know... I'd love to see three pillar spawn like the red ones OR maybe keeping opened the gate for few seconds when someone goes though it and letting leave everyone within these seconds. With no safe zone, extractions would be HARD af to find so I'd suggest after these 2 points, to add a new mechanics for "tracking" the nearby Pillar spawn (maybe some "sense" bar filled by mob kills or some reasearch by reading/picking up stuff in the dungeon). Or making them fixed location.
You're not meant to solo the 3man dungeons. You can if you want to but you'll have to deal with the consequences if you get caught by a team. Making it too easy to extract would kill the lategame tension and make fighting other players less important.
There are 3 blue pillar zones on new 3 team map and its not really fun

True but I feel like the PvE is not easy so having no safe zone is not totally risk-free.
Other than that you could have a lategame tension by having a Timer, or a safe zone circle that doens't do dmg: harder to move, to see, everything goes dark and darker until timer goes 0 and you die obv but having a circle that deals dmg forces you to get eaten by a team of 3 running META classes and High Tier Gear or just die out of the safe zone.
If you're a duo, a solo that doesn't like Troll map or just a trio running non meta stuff, you most likely die and don't extract.

Once you understand how each enemy's attacks work PvE is pretty easy unless you make it hard for yourself by panicking and getting in bad spots. If there were no encroaching damage ring there would be no reason to not just take your time and be as safe as possible with every single enemy. There is SUPPOSED to be tension preventing you from just casually rolling every pve room.
What are yall's thoughts on silver coins?
I feel like it would be appropriate if they were used to buy the Coin Purses, that would give them a pretty substantial use and give people a reason to pick them up and trade with them
They're less of a waste of space now that actual good treasures are much rarer but I still hate them and wish they had another purpose like you described
I mean, if I recall silver coins stack to 25, but you need 30 for a stack of gold
so they are less space efficient to loot than gold, and given their only use right now is to convert them to gold, that doesn't really make much sense to me
I understand what you mean and I do agree on the Tension point but IMO the problem is that this tension is cheesed and abused sometimes making unbalanced some situations.
Maybe not removing it but maybe making it larger last 2 zones or adding more time
Silver Coins are meant to be the primary currency drop of the first floor of the dungeon, which currently isn't implemented.
Honestly I wish that the cleric spells would work on demons as well even if to a weaker extent, seeing that I am bit used to portion of RPG and Dnd runs where clerics were mostly used against undead and demon hordes.
Add Backpack pls. Can be used instead of cloak for extra space in dungeon and used in stash as space saver !!!!

while it is true that in d&d clerics are often depicted fighting creatures of the Nine Hells and the Abyss, the reason clerics are most effective against undead is because of their ability to channel "Positive Energy" in contrast to the undead being fuelled by "Negative Energy"
on the flip side, Paladins have a little ability called smite which allows them to deal additional damage to those that appose their alignment, so a good paladin could smite a demon because demons carry with them elemental evil
tldr; clerics in d&d don't actually get much to fight demons specifically

Thing is in here cleric can equip Paladin based equipment, like Warmauls, plate armor (Most of it) so it would look like clerics are at least for now portrayed as both classes (unit we will see proper paladin as class)
true! we are lacking a quintessential paladin class
however I do feel the need to mention that warmauls are a classic cleric weapon, as seen in 5th edition's player handbook the art depicting a dwarven cleric on the cleric's class page wields one as well as countless examples of clerics wielding warmauls in other arts
also, while it depends on your domain in 5th edition, back in 3.5, all clerics get access to heavy armor
speaking of though, I'm now pondering if they should add a perk for cleric so they are able to wear the other heavy chestplates since they currently only have access to the Templar and Rubysilver plate

Bless has a base duration of 30 seconds, Divine Strike and Protection has 20
on top of that, even with no gear the 30 will you start with gives you +15% on those buff timers
also Dousiq has a good point there, I've seen no spell cleric work pretty well for solo players, but you are giving up your healing for it

it can be rough when a 3 man strolls up but I don't really mind, as the difference between 2 and 3 feels a lot less than the difference between 1 and 2
idk, maybe I'm bias since I go solo into the 3 man dungeons a lot and I've just learned how to avoid and escape bad situations

while fighting ranged NPCs with melee can be a pain sometimes there are a couple tactics that be used to fight them more efficiently
one thing you can do is to duck and look straight down right as they go to fire, this will make them shoot right over you, but be carful as skeleton archers frequently shoot twice
if you're not a fan of taking the risk associated with that you can take a few steps back and strafe around the mob, they are programmed to shoot where you are, not where you are going. After they shoot you can quickly walk up and get an attack or two in depending on your weapon
but if you don't have room to do that, you can always use a corner or shield to just block the shot before putting some damage into them

I could be wrong but I believe it scales with strength despite being a ranged weapon
strength grants you physical power bonus which increases any physical damage you deal, including weapon attacks
Suggestion: Add a "Visit Map" Mode
- Get accustomed to a map (level geometry, spawns, etc...) by roaming free alone (or with teammates) but no enemy players
- Add a sub-menu to toggle:
- enemy spawn on/off
- damage on/off
- "full illumination" on/off (basically light the whole level so you do not need to keep torches on you)
- show damage numbers (to self and/or to enemies)
- Enemy/chests/loot drops must be disabled in this mode (for obvious reason).
- Any XP gain must be disabled also
- Dying in this mode will not make you lose anything
- Useful for content creators (and people in general) to showcase new maps, discuss strategies, show specific map locations or mobs, test damage numbers on enemies
- This mode can be the foundation work (from a technical viewpoint) to later introduce private matches / tournaments

why remove trading?
Players should only be able to use equipment they and their friends find. Far too easy either via fair methods or unfair methods for people to get purple sets or legendary weapons via market. And would also entirely destroy the current bot plague.

I was unaware of a bot plague, though I haven't used the market much since the game released
as for the circulation of high rarity gear, I see your concern, though I think we lose more from removing it
current NPC shops leave a lot to be desired so the player market is where most of your gold goes
if we removed the market, that would remove probably the game's biggest gold sink from the trade tax while also making gold far less useful
and if gold loses its value, so does all the sell-able treasure items as well as any gear for a class your group doesn't generally play
while there would still be bragging rights and bosses to slay, removing the market removes a huge motivator for a lot of players
They intend to add far greater gold sinks eventually as they stated in several FAQ’s prior to early access. Via progression systems of some form, either character or equipment wise.

If market remains, then the rate at which seasons last and items get reset will need to be far quicker then if it was removed. It only takes 1-2 weeks for orange tier and uniques to start frequently appearing in market.
Very bad idea, trading is such a good system that adds variety to the game itself
alternatively they could add a system where the rate of item drops is dynamic
as items are found they drop less often
as items are lost from them getting left in the dungeon they start dropping more often again
though I think this idea would require less drastic difference in the power level of the best of the best items to prevent monopolies
the bright side of having an over saturation of good gear is you can save up money and buy a set that lets you contend with those who already have good gear
we really need a durability system, both to tax people taking high-end gear into weaker content and to stop the endless recycling of high-end gear
it doesn't have to be much, just a small fee based on rarity with a chance to chip some max durability off
oh! speaking of people rolling lobbies with full gear sets, what are yall thoughts on a matchmaking system? I know we have highroller but as it stands now there is nothing protecting lower gear players from people who have decided they want to go on a killing spree in normal lobbies

No one would like that version of dark and darker end game. It’s you one shot them or they one shot you or everyone stares at eachother because fighter has 99% damage reduction and no one plays mages.

adding back Floor 1 and putting in a simple durability system will nix most pubstomping
right now it's lucrative to just run a purple weapon each on a goodsquad and run through low roller two-shotting people to the body especially after the loot buffs

Something that need to be fixed is enemies who use projectiles (goblin/skeleton archer, the goblin slinger ect.) Think we all have had a situation where we were behind em and they somehow hit us.
Suggestion: announce hotfixes/patches maybe a few hours before it going live.
if it's anything like where I used to work, they ship the patch and then THEY get told when it's going to be implemented
so we're stuck with last-minute "UH OKAY PATCH TIME" announcements until they're back on AWS

suggestion: make cloth equipement (more or less the starter gear) half the move speed reduction. there is honestly no point in this equipment right now, heavier gear usually slows down players the same rate (usually -10 for chest gear and -5 to -10 for pants) as light gear yet the defense between the two are obsurd. light gear starters only giving like 5-10 armor rating while the heavier gear been giving anywhere from 20-30 armor rating per piece.
edit: there should be a graph curve for the better the armor rating the heavier it should be, but that doesnt seem to be the case. (and im not talking about rare drops cause those are obviously gonna have a better rating cause of rarity)

Small QoL suggestion but to make life so much easier when you have full inventory just make the background of the items rarity that color that way I don't have to siphon through the crappy cracked jewelry or certain weapons etc. I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it.

Could it be possible to nerf the Falchion and buff other weapons? I don't get how the Falchion can have the same damage as a 2 handed weapon while being 1 handed and also have the best impacts zones for the blade (100% and 80%). I think the longsword and the halberd are such cool weapons but there is no reason to pick them over the falchion rn.
Also there is almost no perks for fighter outside blocking and double weapon. Maybe it would be nice if "Slayer" worked with 2 handed weapons?

Falchion is fine, other weapons just need slight tune-ups
it's the shortest range and slowest 1h blade, without the damage it'd just be a worse axe

I agree and disagree, I main fighter and most other weapons are just not able to keep up, unless you use halberds, and spears and can keep a gap, tho I agree with other weapons need to be buffed to stay viable, I would worry that the Falchion does too much damage with a basic grey one on a naked fighter able to out put the same damage as a longsword (50-55 damage on first two swings) and being able to pair it with a heater shield, even with other weapons getting buffed it would still reign king over the others.

and it still have better speed than the longsword, with better damages and only -25 movespeed. Even the horseaxe has -30 speed for almost half the damages

Honestly the only real downside with the Falchion, is it swings also and wide, which in its self can be both bad and good, bad because the swing starts wide and can hit wall easily, but good cause this wide swing can catch people trying to out manuve you.
when it comes to the falchion I think we need to consider if it is fine on its own, without comparing it to other weapons for the same class
if the falchion is fine when sized up against say a barbarian than it stands to reason that the falchion is not the problem
and if that is so, then the other weapons available to those with access to the falchion need to buffed

I can agree with that, and would like to see other weapons get buffed BEFORE, the Falchion gets nerfed to see if this balances things out, the nerf the Falchion of we don't see any good balance come from the changes

I don't disagree, all I want is for more options as fighter for weapons. It just doesn't make sense to me that the falchion has more damage, is faster, only -25 movement speed and 1H compared to the longsword (worse damage, worse speed, -40 movespeed and 2H so cannot use a shield)
