Remove stat rolls on items for classes that cannot use the stat. Example of this is knowledge/Will on Fighter and Barb only pieces. The RNG of stat rolls is super enjoyable but completely dead stat weights feel bad on some of the high-rarity pieces

Make it possible to relog (for when your wifi bugs out or your lagging allot) where you quit out. and are able to rejoin the game you was in. Even if your dead. when reloading you end up back spectating your friends.

If you use a perk in the lobby / tavern / whatever it's called, give the perk back to the user when the game starts. (IE: When you use Second Wind while the game is starting, it is returned to you when the game starts.)

the Ranger class is beyond overloaded.
-They do the most dmg from the furthest away.
-They have the most mobility/interaction speed so can kite indefinitely
-Triple shot needs to do reduced dmg per arrow, 1 3x shot can easily nuke a full build barbarian.
-They have the only form of hard CC in the game (hunting trap). The traps should NOT be spawn in the castle.
-They have 2 forms of sustain built into their kit which means they don't have to buy potions in order to survive raids. This advantage allows them to hoard gold much faster than other classes, allowing them to constantly run high tier gear bought from the Trade.
-They counter the Rogue with enhanced hearing, traps, footstep detection, and similar movement speed.
-They can duel wield? This design choice is questionable at best considering that duel wielding is a perk taken by the Fighter.
-Use of the spear is completely absurd. This weapon gives them the best dmg at close range with the best 2 handed weapon available.

[Spawn down portals earlier in the map. As it stands right now (in my own experience) most of a lobby has died or been wiped by the time the down portals start to appear. Adding earlier down portals would enable more players to go down, having actual PVP in inferno instead of a free PVE lootfest for the rarity that anyone goes down.]

Rework chain lightning to instead bounce off anywhere to only the targets behind the first one hit, with this people may actually use the spell and can control so they dont kill themselves or their teammates, at the moment no one uses it because of that and it wont change how strong it even if it got reowrked like this it only would be a situational spell.

[The game needs more bindings: I would like to press, for example, ctrl+3 instead of pressing 3 times "3" to use my third item.
On the other hand, the animation is slower than the binding and sometimes I miss the item I wanna use. This could be easily fixed with specific bindings. ]

[Add a guild system. Characters could use guilds to find other ppl to party with easier. guilds could also have specializations and give perks based on the specialization, so there could be like a trading guild where players in that guild have a smaller market fee for trading, there could be a mining guild where players mine more ore from a vein, there could be dungeon focused guilds so players that want to explore deeper levels could find similar players to party with.]

[Capture the loot mode. Where two teams on opposite sides of the map have a big chest where they dump all their loot. Basically capture the flag... Only loot in the chest counts towards their score, biggest score wins. Loot is potentially split within the winning team. And you can steal from the enemy factions chest.]

Give Skeleton Champion & Wraith a relatively weak ranged attack to help discourage / increase the difficulty of cheesing these mini bosses by breaking their AI using geometry or fighting from an area they cannot reach. These are supposed to be relatively difficult fights since they're minibosses. And it is too easy to cheese these fights currently.

[ Rework karma system, I joined a lobby with 2 randoms and they tried to kill me right after we spawned but I killed them as I had brought really good gear. If they both choose to punish me for team killing when I defended myself from them that does not seem quite fair. ]

Add another healing/support class. Feels like clerics are being relied on too much in high rollers, as they are currently the only healing class. My suggestion: bard; applies AoE debuffs, party buffs, and heals over time. Medium damage up close with lute swings. Plus, it would be cool to have a fopdoodle playing sick tunes in the dungeon.

[What if the locked troll loot room had a blue portal inside since it's locked until defeating the boss. This way if people team to beat the boss, only one person gets it. Currently it takes so long and is so risky due to people countering it doesn't seem fair to die because the storm circle had bad RNG and doesn't let you out of the dungeon. Sometimes the circle cuts out the arena really fast.]

Many people have suggested arenas but they haven't really elaborated their ideas so here it is:
Arena mode - you can play a 1v1, a 2v2 or a 3v3 match in a small room with some cover and a slowly closing circle. To play this you would need to pay a certain fee. There would also be an arena LVL/KD so that you get paired up with players that have a similar win/lose ratio. When you win you get 2x the amount of gold you put in, get to loot your enemies and leave through one of the 3 portals that spawn. Also for balance sake There would be a limit to how much healing and utility you can bring so fights won't last 2 hours.

[This is LORD COLLECTOR. Please add a general Trade Post as the first trade post, the lack of unified trade post is causing the market to deflate massively, the other trader players have quit trading because of the deflated market. | Second idea that can alternatively or additively be added is some kind of Traders Guild (Collectors Guild maybe :3 ) to allow people to post their specialized trader niche in, I would imagine that the guild fee would be in the thousands.]

[Improve new player/character onboarding: PvE map with low-tier loot only, particularly just greys/essential supplies. Perhaps even limited to characters below level 5/10 as a way for new players to come to grips with things. No time limit. Idea for map: nighttime wooded canyons/caves, major sections focused on particular challenges such as basic enemies, elite enemies, traps, and darkness by section so players can figure them out at a sedate pace rather than being a brand new player figuring out where your torch is while a Skeleton Mage blasts you and you just discovered what the wall-spikes do.]

I've mentioned the environment interaction is a big component of why I am enjoying the game. Been proposing ideas for all classes. Rogue or Ranger (not sure which) - Trap Specialist Perk environment option add modifying traps, increase or decrease the damage or trigger range/active speed of envionmental swinging axes or spikes? Extend out wall spikes? Read a previous suggestion of adding chandeliers that can be shot down to cause damage or moltov effect. Maybe make it so this perk can be enhance those so that if someone walks under, it would self trigger.

All classes can equip all items, it would be much more fun that way, being able to play rogue and use a crossbow or a sword and the difference between classes would be their perks and skills, it would be much more fun it is very boring to be so limited and it doesn't even make sense, like my hand is crippled so I can't lift a sword?

Rogue smokebomb ability uses the thrown item behavior and causes enemies to make choking sounds when inside the smoke. Worth considering destealthing because of choking. Worth considering interrupting channeling.

[The amount of advantage given by a perfect set of gear is too much right now. Restricting certain stats to certain equipment slots like +damage to weapons and jewlery only, or +stats to gear only could help reign this in. +Damage and +Allstats on all gear pieces just distorts the game and approaches removing skill entirely from melee combat.]

Add a Block button on the trade request popup window. People like to harass others by spamming trade requests and this would be a much faster way to block them. (Maybe also require the player to tick a checkbox to confirm to prevent accidentally clicking the block button when the popup happens)

Buff Crystal sword a bit by either lowering the movement penalty or adjusting the Physical/Magic damage split to be more Magic. Wizards physical damage sucks obviously so just making it like 30/70 would make it way way better. Also please do something to staffs. They're unironically the worse item in the entire game right now. I would not even want to use a Legendary Staff if I found one, that's how bad they are.

Change the way the market is laid out. Currently, you can go to a different channel for each class, however people go to fighter to sell cleric gear, simply because it's also all usable by fighters, or they go to the ranger channel to sell rapiers that rogues might want.
Instead, there should be a channel for helmets, gloves, boots, etc. This way, players can check the options for which specific gauntlet types they need (i.e. "Heavy Gauntlets"), and see all of the options for those, rather than having to jump between the fighter and cleric channel to see what is offered in each one.

the game needs to have a better market system, there's not enough filters to search the item that you need, can't sell itens offline, it's hard to buy other items from players when there's too many people using it, there's too much flood, people announcing their items a thousand times, and so goes on... If the market was done in the same way as it's done in games such as Runescape or Albion Online it would be much better.

[id like to see incentives for players to assist each other in the dungeons even if they arent in a party together. I LOVE the PVP aspect of the game. But in the games current state there is very little variety in how a dungeon is tackled. And the choice is made by how many players you already have in your party. If you are a solo player your best chance to survive is never to engage in a fight with players. Your goal is to hide because you will leave way more often doing that than any other. Ive heard of the fabled team killers but never actually experienced getting betrayed because most random players wont even consider allying in the first place.
Some ways we can incentivise players to ally could be to reward players with very spesific rewards that can only be achived through kinds of cooperation.]

Method of pushing to get out of body blocking. Could be a default feature, or a Skill/Perk
- Fighter: Shield Bash to give additional utility to Shields. Or could just be a benefit to blocking with Shield Expert Skill
- Barbarian: Charge, or an application of Smash. This works as both a full retreat or a big advance forward for Barb.
- Wizard: Knock: Slightly different from original, iconic Wizard Spell: Ranged Interact/Unlock. Utility Spell with a distinct and loud sound effect, but can also be used to push.
- Rogue: Kick: Could also be a method to quickly open doors, but has a CD.

LIMIT THE POWER LEVEL OF PLAYERS GOING INTO REGULAR DUNGEON. There is no need for a team wearing full purples to roll normals, being too scared to run HR. Put in a Gear limit forcing people to go into HR if they are wearing a certain gear level. To go in with a couple of greens and a blues to die to full purple gold men is not something that players will put up with for long.

Fix the bug where mobs aggro you again when you exit stealth no matter where your next position is or who aggroed the mob while you were invisible ,tested this a lot of times and they always go back to the one who hit it first even after loosing aggro which makes no sense sometime they aggro the one exiting stealth even if he did not hit the mob, something with the spell inivisibility aggros mobs for some weird reason not as intentional i am sure.

[Low particle option for potato pc gamers. Sometimes I lag if, for instance, a warrior uses 2nd wind and speed boost while I as cleric have divine strike buff up. Cave Troll is a little too fast in my opinion unless you have his combos perfectly memorized you are going to get hit by him i understand the slowness effect and the need to make him difficult but as he is now even with a random persons help we both died and he was what probably not even half health? Just slowing him down a bit would give everyone a chance to learn his attacks and combos before they are just one shot by him also as im sure many many people have said theres needs to be enemy health bars at least for the boss

Add a dwarf class you do more dmg with pickaxes, and can mine quicker but ores take up a bit more space/or carry less in a stack. perks maybe making you a bit more armored, maybe you can mine with war mauls with another perk, can drink ale without getting drunk. i feel they would need higher hp than others to balance out them not being tall enough to reach peoples heads easy, and slightly more dmg scaling but being slow aswell

[New cleric spell DIVINE SHIELD, default cast time is 3 seconds, affects a target or the cleric him/herself if no target. Causes the target to become invulnerable to all damage for 4 seconds. 7 Spell memory required, 3 casts total available. VFX can be the same as protection or blue pots but have a golden shiny effect as the color. If concerns of being too overpowered, add longer cast time or lessen duration etc.]

I'm sorry, but Cleric is way too much of a make-or-break class. It genuinely feels like if you're running a duo/trio, you have to have a Cleric in order to be successful. The constant heal-spam cannot be outmatched because there is zero ways to actually prevent healing currently.
Rogue/Ranger/Wizard need some sort of tool that prevents characters from being healed for a duration, like the Goblin Mages. Poison throwing knives/arrows, a curse, a dart, anything to at least let us counter this absurd level of constant healing. Three playtests in a row we've had to deal with this barbarian/fighter pocketing meta and it's just getting exhausting at this point.

Make the victory / defeat emotes change automatically upon escape or death? Equipping manually just to click the screen to trigger an emote feels very unintuitive though extremely minor from a development priority perspective. I'd personally prefer if they played automatically so it doesnt feel like i am just manually eliciting it from my character every time. Just a thought

Put some ore in other rooms in the goblin caves, preferably rooms that don't have multiple height levels where a ranger can just shoot you to death because getting to them takes so long that they get 10+ free shots on you before you can reach them.

[In Tarvern, before loading into the dungeon, display a HUD for VOIP activity in the top left corner to show the player-names of who is speaking. Just now, a player in the tavern hid in some corner and VOIP'd legit KKK propaganda tapes that use racial slurs 10x a minute. [When you hover the mouse over an item you can wear, and you are already wearing the same type of item - show both to compare.
So for example when you have an armor equipped, and you hover over an armor in a chest - that's when I want to see both.]

[Suggestion to make the Matchmaking Waiting Lobby an actual Tavern Lobby where players can chill together after a stressful Dungeon Raid, and simply chat by voice chat, and getting drunk by drinking the Ale sold by the TavernMaster (maybe even add new drinks?). You could talk to players by VC all the time you'd like, show off shiny new armor and weapons, trade with other players, secret missions or contracts perhaps?. But MOST IMPORTANTLY a medieval ring for players to Fist Fight in. No armor, no weapon, just fists. (players would actually take damage in this area).]

Remove Bucklers at this point. Not only is their "hitbox" very much questionable at best, it barely covers anything. A buckler is used as a shield to parry and catch arrows. Both of which are features (not yet) implemented. As it stands, the buckler is probably amongst the worst items in the game. Any round shield, as awful as its rarity is, is a HUGE upgrade over the buckler. Please consider either removing the buckler or changing how it works when blocking. It is simply bad at this stage.

team killing shouldn't be on who delivered the last hit but who did the most damage x amount of seconds before you died. I started a game with randoms and not 20 seconds later I get hit twice by the fighter but I died from a giant dragonfly. I tried to punish but couldn't because it didn't count as a team kill.

when using the pickpocket perk, allow rogues to pickpocket utility slots by selecting the targets waist. this would allow rouges to use it tactically to steal heals and potions from other opponents, as well as increase the overall utility of the perk.

change the cleric starting staff to one that looks like it's meant for divine magic. Some kind of holy symbol, like a sun or something. Could even it a separate item and not just a different skin, but that would probably be going to far, making it more difficult to gear up.

Change the level for perk slots system, certain classes are almost unplayable wihout multiple slots. One of these exemples is rogue, you need poisoned weapons, stealth, backstab, ambush. And even with 4 perks slots you have to choose which you want, it reduce your impact by a lot if you dont have some of these perks.
While for exemple fighter, only really needs weapon mastery and projectile resistance.
I think some classes would be more satisfying to play when starting out for new players. If you started with the actual potential of a class, and it wasnt limited to a fraction of it.

Since the game is called Dark&Darker and we got mages, wizards, clerics whatnot. Wouldnt it be suitable if we could get like a "holy light" or "nightvision" spell? - Elf's usually have better vision in the dark, but i could imagine the Cleric being able to provide vision in the dark rooms, so that the warrior wouldnt have to hold a torch to see stuff.

Fighter base stats are supposed to be evenly spread, which is a fine idea, but having 15 knowledge just for the sake of having 15 of every stat is completely useless and feels bad. Currently identification speed has not been implemented, so unless that becomes something meaningful, it would be nice if the Knowledge stat had an effect applicable to non-casters or for Fighter's base stats to be redistributed.

[Some kind of indicator to show when a wizard spell is going to crash into a corner or the wall. I get you want the game to be difficult, that's fine....but add back triple blue portals only for the final zone. It's extremely annoying that extraction is rng based for the final few zones. It doesn't feel rewarding surviving the PvP encounters, keeping all your trio alive, only having to pick who gets to extract, because rng blue portals sporadically spawn. Final zone should always be a trio blue portal to reward those who can stick it.

Bows and Arrows
Bows shouldn't have unlimited ammo.
If it comes to a reload animation it should probably stay. I am not a fan of this but I understand why is it there.
Arrows should be a lootable object you can find in chests and archer enemies.
Ranger would start with 12 arrows and a Quiver.
New ranger skill that would allow arrow conjuring.
New item that can only be dual wielded with bows and crossbows: Quiver. You could store arrows there to save space in the inventory.

Please examine spawn points and adjust them to party size instead of being purely RNG. Also consider making it so that certain spawn points are not active if another person/party spawns at the closest spawn point. I am someone that likes playing solo a lot in the normal maps but the changes this patch to "randomize" the spawn points has resulted in over half of my games (and 7 of my last 10) being a guaranteed loss almost entirely due to the spawn location. When I spawn near the middle of the circle and before I have even left the "entry" area I here footsteps from multiple directions I know it is pretty much an instant loss (I'm not considering times where I outplay someone and win a fight outnumbered).
When you spawn in these locations there is no option to try to be sneaky. You can do your best at running towards the outskirts of the map but you have to work through a full spawn of mobs in all directions and you obviously don't know if where you are trying to head to is directly into another enemy team. I feel like there should never be a situation where in under 30 seconds your spawn point is being rushed (and it isn't because they just ran straight to the spawn point like would happen in the last beta test, specifically the 2 spawn points near the water with the zombies in it in the corner of the map which were notorious for getting spawn rushed). It makes it frustrating gearing up for a solo run when there is a huge chance that I will run into a group in the first minute or two often with the first room still full of mobs. In the last beta when you got rushed you generally at least had enough time to clear your first room and have a bit of a defensive position. There is no defensive position when you spawn inside a wall that doesn't have a door, has tiny corridors nearby full of mobs and large rooms full of even more mobs being the most adjacent rooms.

[instead of the karma system changing the color of peoples names, their could be a "prestige" option after hitting a certain level or certain amount of challenges/milestones per class/character that would allow you to earn different colors on your name, each different color tailored specifically to certain challenges or milestones, and after you unlock one color, you are allowed to keep it permanently for that character, allowing you to change the colors based on how you feel that day.]

[Since a lot of people complain about wizard/cleric buff stacking all together and that leading to barbs/warriors being clearly OP, adding a dispell (wizard) and cleanse (cleric) high tier spell that removes all buffs on a single target could be a great solution. Making it high tier will prevent people from abusing it and make them decide to bring it or not at the cost of losing other usefull spells. That way you counter fire with fire and it opens the game for more varied team / solo builds

Add a "dash" to rogue, with 3 charges and a 45 sec cooldown on the dash (small dash to avoid hits), this should be a default skill that does not affect their skill slots, this adds a skill element and does not just add additional damage to the class which would unbalance it with higher tier gear. I do NOT play Rogue, but if as a cleric I can 2 hit them to the head I think this is unfair and unbalanced. Adding more damage will not assist it will unbalance the class, therefore I suggest this new mechanic.

Improve healing items (bandages, potions), they heal very little you have to use 5-6 items to heal fully and potions have to be used 1 at a time at least allow stacking potions, use several at once and they combine your heals or increase the duration time because it is very bad to heal with items while the cleric quickly makes you full life with his spells.

[PvE only mode with fixed PvE characters
Many players fear that people will farm gear in PvE and use it in PvPvE, the easiest way to solve this in my opinion is to have to choose between PvPvE or PvE on character creation without being able to change it later.
Also the division of the player base is feared by some, but you will not loose any PvPvE playerbase that just does not like PvP and will therefore not play the game entirely anyways.
To make things more exciting in PvE there could be patrolling enemies in the dungeon that try to hunt you down etc. Also procedurally generated maps.
Maybe there is a boss at the end of each dungeon you have to kill in order to get out.
Opinion Part (please ignore this for liking or disliking): I for one am not a fan of PvP.. I enjoy teaming up with players in solo mode and getting out together splitting gear etc. this is very fun. But I don't enjoy getting the **** kicked out of me by people who are simply better at PvP, I can handle all the mobs in game (haven't tried the troll yet tho) but getting oneshot by a Babarian that goes full PvP meta is just not fun for me and I will not continue playing this game/buy this game if I can't have the option of PvE only.]

implement a "training camp" where you can go in solo with target dummies and a room where you can spawn in enemies so you can practice more complex stuff without risk, for example i want to practice longsword parries, but its risky to try it out on normal runs so most people will avoid trying it until they're filthy rich and can afford to lose a bunch of sets to practice a certain skill, which frankly is quite boring, you could make it so you cant spawn bosses and higher level enemies so they get to keep their risk factor but having a controlled risk free environment for people to practice a new skill against basic mobs would be a nice way for people to not always take the safest option and to be more daring im their real runs

[Have some kind of "forge" or "witchcraft bench" that people can create better items/weapons/armors from stuff they already have but don't need. For example, if someone has a +2 Knowledge in a sword that might be more useful to a wizard, he can transfer it to another weapon or armor/utility (imagine enchanting on minecraft or anvil that can transfer stats between weapons). Of course there might be a lot of players that end up having very good gear, so there might need some balancing (e.g. transfer the stats but only half of them). Of course, even with best stats, there always might be a change of losing it in a dungeon. Of course, with forged-best-stats, people with best gear will be hard to stop them from dominating the dungeons, but that still happens even with looted generated stats already (getting killed because someone else have the better armor). The thing I'm proposing is that if someone has 10-20 items that are for other class than his own, he can "sacrifice" them in a forge in order to move the stats to something he can wear.]

I have played over 100 hours of the game along with my teammates. And we constantly go to paid dungeons. And we have such a problem that when the game is already over and the circle narrows as much as possible, the portals may simply not appear in the zone, because there are 2-3 floors of the dungeon where it is no longer possible to get into, and you just instantly die with a full rare or purple with the gear that you have been knocking out for so long, will it be repaired?

[Axe Specialization is a ~37% damage increase when using a 27 damage green Horseman axe. It is a ~18.5% damage increase on a 54 damage epic Felling Axe. It is still a ~13.3% damage increase on a 75 damage Life or Death.
Even though it is currently overpowered compared to other damage increasing talents (Wizards Mana Surge is only 5%,
Rangers' Ranged Weapons Expert is 5%, Clerics' Blunt Weapons Expert is 5%, Barbs two handed weapon spec is 5%, Rogues Dagger Expert is 5%) I like how Axe Specialization makes the barb less gear dependent and would like to see perks for other classes improved to grant more similar bonuses. It feels very good to get meaningful base power increases on level up that allow you to be at least a threat to anyone even in somewhat mediocre gear.]

[Currently Cleric has some great strengths but parts of its kit are unfortunately going unutilized because well... theyre not very good OR they're out of reach, let me explain.
The State of Cleric Ressurection
During the entirety of this play test as well as the previous play test I have not seen a single cleric cast Ressurection. Why? Because it is needlessly locked behind a gross expenditure of knowledge/spell capacity.
Cleric already has its downsides in the sense that you cannot regain your spells through a cool down skill as wizard does, and I agree with this. However, currently ressurection is so overly cumbersome to slot as a spell it might as well be removed from the game.
Previous iteration of ressurection:
Ressurection was(still is) a channeled spell, it took a long while to cast and during that time you were completely vulnerable and could take no other action. If you stopped casting for any reason, the spell failed, and that's just fine. I had never heard anyone complain about ressurection being broken or OP so im confused as to why it was made so hard to take as a viable spell. Naturally clerics will prefer to attempt to keep their allies ALIVE through the other spells so they DONT have to ressurect, even if they had the ability to. So...
Proposal:
Either severely reduce the cost of ressurection (To say around a cost of 4 or 5 spell capacity) (It currently sits at a whopping 8 spell capacity cost) so that its offered at a reasonable cost.
OR
Allow Clerics to cast ressurection as a default spell/Optional Skill once per game, not refreshed by campfire, and cannot be gained by any other means. That might sound harsh but in my mind it's better than not having it at all. I'm open to any criticism or comments on this, feel free to let me know your option.

I think that the longsword and quarterstaff block needs to be flipped because most if not all enemies are right handed making blocking with those weapons extremely difficult. You can spend hours practising blocking with those weapons but even then you would still be incredibly hard blocking in PvP. The longsword and quarterstaff are two of my favourite weapons but there blocks just feel useless most of the time.

Split physical damage into Slashing/Bludgeoning/Piercing. Physical resistances such as Armor will blanket protect against all 3 but there could be positives/negatives in each pieces of gear as well as this allows enemies to have weaknesses such as Skeletons being weak to Bludgeoning.

Please expand visual effects/monsters to be more colorblind friendly. Currently lich has two different effects, differentiated by blue/purple color. Please make this more colorblind accessible by making the effects more visually distinct, so color is not the only difference.
Monster colors are also quite hard to read between normal/red/grey. Visual differences in elite models would make this easier to identify (mummy eye glow is a great example of something that works well)

make ranger adjustments:
ranged attacks in general are very powerful since the game has mostly close combat in tight corridors, I suggest that rangers have more power mid to long range, but lower power once melee classes are able to close in, I personally would just make it so ranger has more defense vs. ranged but less against melee to keep them viable against other ranged attacks.

Explain one thing to me. We had a team of 3 people. We went to the highroll.. We killed the entire lobby. The zone was in a maze with spikes in the normal map pattern. We killed the entire lobby. No portals opened for us. It's been like this 3 times already. 3 times we died on a highroll not from people but from the zone. Portals don't appear. The zone is buggy and the portals can't see the space because it's full of walls. Could you fix it? We have all lost equipment with all +1-3 attributes third times. There is an obvious difference in the spawning of highroll portals from normal. I lose 2 hours on trade to buy items and then die through stupid portals. It's not my fault. I have a skill. It was the developers who invented themselves to die forcibly because of the lack of portals.

[ ok, i have been playing the game, and i understand that it is meant to be dificult, but so far i could not survive even a single game.
My suggestion would be to have some sort of training grounds were players can quickly train against diferent monsters and maybe even other players, and possibly a way to get a very small amount of gold to slowly but surely get better and buy better equipment, potions etc. Maybe "quests" could also work here, so if you need to kill 30 goblins to get 10 gold, or a better sword you could do it here.]

next time you add a boss to the game how about we don't make it almost physically impossible to kill. The cave troll is a difficult boss that required a lot of practice and discipline to kill, that and you had to begin the match by sprinting directly to his lair to even have a chance at killing him. Once the player-base finally discovered a way to kill him reliably, you decided to make him swing in a manner that is nearly impossible to dodge on his heavy attacks, and then make it so that you can't kill him with starting gear. Before, at least multiple classes could ATTEMPT to kill him, but now it's basically limited to the fighter and ranger. Not only this but the blocking mechanic is extremely buggy and unreliable, and half of the time I am physically LOOKING DIRECTLY AT the trolls mace as it collided with me, yet still get hit, as if it magically passes through the shield. This is a problem with almost every enemy in the game regardless. Why would I want to go into a solo dungeon with high gear to kill an enemy that does guaranteed damage to me, that I cannot block, and will likely die fighting for minimal loot. My suggestion is reverse the ability for him to have multiple heavy attacks or fix the blocking mechanic for ai mobs, because as it stands the only useful shield is the pavise

it is very very frustrating to have to leave teammates behind and having to feel guilty, Players should be able to have the ability to leave together, so i have a suggestion. Keep portals as they are except require an item a "key" if you will to use the portal, an item that drops randomly, players can use the portal if they have a key, so teams could choose to wait till everyone had a key and leave together or, decided to even have a sigle player leave with their only key they have found.

Feel like a Gear Score mechanic + Score Cap per certain queue needs to be put into place. Why is it that people can have all purple/blue/etc., +3 All gear and are allowed to queue for a regular dungeon. It's egregious on some characters (especially cleric + barbarian/fighter) they are unstoppable. With the test only being out a short time it is not common, but if the game drops in this state it will just be highly geared players dominating and farming player kills.

I understand this game is a playtest and the trading is not all the way finished. One thing I would like to see happen in the final release of the game is a way to block things like this: https://www.p2pah.com/goods/detail/index/ct/1225/sub/1162637-/f/1.html from happening. I know that Tarkov faced similar issues with this, and I really enjoyed that in this game you can directly trade with your friends, but at the cost of the game becoming pay to win I would personally rather have a non direct market than have to deal with people being able to stay looted for $, similar to the market in Tarkov.

[I think the strength of monsters can be reduced appropriately, or the strength of players can be increased. [Make Caltrops/Smokebombs equipment items for Rogues instead of Skills. As it stands, it's hard to justify using them in the place of Rupture/Weakpoint/Hide which are more obviously useful and impactful in a lot of areas. But as equipment items, similar to how Rangers have access to Hunting Traps, Caltrops/Smokebombs could become more interesting options to incorporate in a Rogue's playstyle without severely limiting their overall effectiveness with a Skill tax.]

Some form of gear balancing, having multiple trios in a game that all have blue and purple gear is just not fun, there's no playing around that, its not a matter of skill if a purple axe just one taps you if you aren't full purple yourself. Especially new players will have a hard time if it continues like this. Therefore my solution would be to either limit the amount of purple gear people can bring in the normal dungeon, OR to apply some kind of stat reduction when theyre using them. Like why play high roller when you can just stomp people all day in normals, its just not fun.

What if there was a monk class that uses fists and has a feign death ability. When theyre feigning death, they can be looted. But since monks attack with fists, if they do it at the right time they can have an advantage. People will think twice before looting a dead monk. Also with the ability to use their fists, they dont even need loot.

Buff stacking has been an integral part of DnD since the dawn of its existence. This is the reason why DnD 3.5e added Dispel to bards and a couple other classes, as well as dispel potions, dispel traps and null magic areas, to counter that form of meta gaming.
So I strongly suggest that Dispel be added to counter buff stacking in particular, to open up more viable team compositions.

After leveling all classes to level 15+, I have some suggestions on class balance.
Rogue: This class is in an awkward place. Abilities that seem like they should be built in to the class require players to waste a perk slot in order to obtain them, e.g. lock pick, hidden pockets, moving while hiding. This should be an innately sneaky class with perks that alter the way you can play it from a DPS and adventuring standpoint.
Wizard: Way too gear dependent. This class goes from trash with basic gear to OP with +magic dmg gear. Haven’t thought of a fix really.
Fighter: All of their perks aside from weapon mastery feel like garbage.
Cleric: Way too powerful atm due to the ability to stack buffs and high dmg weapons.
Barbarian: Also a bit too powerful atm. Reducing max HP would probably help.
Ranger: Perfect the way it is after the bow patch. Crossbows feel generally terrible however.

I would like to see an End of Dungeon Stat Screen that is a summary of the whole Dungeon Run. Stats such as Damage Delt, Players and Creating Killed, Loot Value, Chests Opend, Ect. Also if your playing with a team show everyone's stats and info. Have Badges of Accomplishment, such as Best Magic or Physical DPS, Loot Goblin (Most Valued Loot Haul), Lone Survival (Last person on your team to survive the Dungeon and Escape Safely), Trap Test Dummy (Received Most Damage in the Lobby from Traps and Survive), etc.

Give Crossbows some love. They need a lot of quality of life improvements, among other things.

Crossbows ghost fire, which needs to be fixed. ("Ghost fire" meaning you click to shoot, it makes the sound, but the bolt is still in your crossbow.. So you have to click again, completely ruining your shot. This has happened 2x in a row for me a few times.)

Adjust crosshairs, or adjust crossbow's position. The bolt comes faaaar from the right of your screen. High chance of hitting a wall, high chance of hitting a door instead of shooting through the window. Overall, bad experience.

[The fighter trait "counter attack" should have its percentage raised from 10% increase for movement speed and weapon attack speed when an enemy attack is successfully blocked to 30% - 50%. If I successfully block an enemy attack I should be able to hit them and raise my shield back up before they can attack again. If you want to improve blocking for all classes then increase attack cooldown when your attack is blocked across the board.]

- Usable skills for ALL characters. There seems to be a basic cement block on all characters for movement besides the wizard's haste spell. Will there be any new skills coming out for "squishy" characters such as the ranger or rogue? Disengaging fight's is hard especially when projectiles fly as fast as a tee ballers fast ball. 2) Creating an overall auction house for trading instead of the widespread spam trade where it moves fast and people are sniping anything that is an actual reasonable price. This would allow much easier trade-flows. 3) I guess this is stated above at the first suggestion but I wanted to reiterate how slow projectiles are & how buggy they are. I've seen throwing knives get thrown across the room at 1000ft/s and then next throw it's like tossing a napkin at someone. Ranger's are an easy class but harder to master due to the projectiles flying 1) inaccurately and the desync issue plaguing the game or 2) they're just so damn slow i could slam my head off the keyboard 4 times and probably move away. up the fly speed of projectiles as well as reducing the wizards haste spell. Give them spell reduction not speed & everything combined. That just makes it so stupid as they're now the only real classes that they can self-peel themselves from enemies with that single ability.

[I've been playing this game a lot. First, let's talk about bugs. Sometime, there is some movement lags. I died twice because my character was freezing when moving. There is a exploit with barrel and chest, you can jump and stay on them to be safe from most ennemies.
Second, i would like to see more weapons variation, i always see the same weapons, even if it's a "blue" one, it looks the same as the less rare version. I would like to see a race system, you already have elf and skeleton type, but it would be nice to have more !
Finally, i love the game so far, the atmosphere is perfect, the difficulty is fair and i wish you the best for the development. If you need a tester for the game, i'm always there to help ! 🙂

make gear less important. it plays too much of a factor in the game. or even have gear score limitations on certain dungeons. if youre starting out, you have 0 chance against anyone with higher gear than you. yea sure if youre really good at the game you can out play most people but then you run into people with purples and uniques in the normal dungeon and there is no chance at survival. especially against anyone who can use a bow. fighters shouldnt be able to use recurves or long bows with the perk. makes a strong class almost broken. the last play tests just needed class reworks or buffs/nerfs but the game is gear based now and is not enjoyable for low geared players, then rewards high geared players.

Open more opportunity for a skilled-but-undergeared player to beat heavily geared but bad players. I'm not saying a totally naked player should be able to two hit a player in all purple gear, but what I am saying is that, while it's not impossible for a skilled player to outplay someone with more gear on them, gear is so strong right now that a heavily geared player can make a TON of mistakes against a player more skilled than them and still win. There are many ways to go about a solution to this, but if I had to suggest one, it would be to lower how much all-stat is in the game, and overall lower defense AND offense so base stats matter more (making it so that, while gear might protect you for 2-3 more hits, it doesn't make you go from a 3-4 hit to a 9+ hit target).

I make my suggestion for the sake of the player to player market, please increase the text size/clarity on stacked items in general but more specifically the candy. make a trap stop firing once an enemy on top is dead. It’s so annoying having a trap go for 5 minutes after something dies on it. Also make it so things can’t fall into an enemy meaning you can’t pick them up. Especially with ranger traps, sometimes you can’t disarm them, or you drop an item and it lands inside a dead enemy and you can’t get it

add a downside for people playing naked a.k.a. no armor. people running around with no armor should take significantly increased damage. unless it is a barbarian specifically building around the perk 'savage', the strategy of playing without armor should be considered an exploit as you gain a significant movement speed increase, while suffering a very minor damage increase as the game currently is. there is no possible way this is intended and feels completely abused as a mechanic.`

Perhaps being able to make "micro-lobbies" in the trade chats would be a good.
So you could make a micro-chat for an item that you’re selling; leaving more room for group negotiations.
Cause as it is, you just have to pick one person and hope they’ll be worth the time if many people request trading.
However i do fully understand that implementing such a thing might even be near impossible

Please rework mob aggro so if a player directly bumps into a mob there is a slight chance they will aggro towards them or at least lose aggro towards you, it's very frustrating to be chased by player and have the mobs aggro only towards you when the are literally half way up the mummy or skeletons ass, it would only be if your player model directly bumps into them.

[The devs should make a detailed post about how they plan on combatting cheating. After running into a blatant cheating barb in starter kit tanking over 500+ damage I have lost all will to play the game now that I have to start questioning every death and every raid where I don't find any good loot (vaccum hack or radar hack a la tarkov). The cheating problem is why I left Escape from Tarkov and I will not submit myself to a game full of cheaters again.

Not sure what plans you have for the future already so figured I’d throw what I think the future is going to look like haha.
I’m thinking you will add more floors to the maps, at least the forgotten castle, and spread the loot more to require longer and deeper delves to get better loot. Something like 5 floors and then the hellish 6th floor. As you go deeper the better the loot but the more difficult monsters that occupy it. Would also be cool to see an arena type mode be implemented later on, something similar to Mount and Blade’s tournaments where it could be a 5 man free for all, 4-5 duo teams, or 4 trio teams. You only get to choose premade gear set made for your class (So a barbarian could use dual wield axes or a two handed felling axe) or allow the gear set to be made by the player and they select the items to put in their slots. Either players can only enter a tournament every few hours to limit gold/item grinding from it or all players pay a fee to join and the winners take the pot. Though would be cool to have armor or weapons only obtainable by winning tournaments. Sorry for the long suggestion but I’m too excited to see where this game goes.

Consider making the contracting area also completely extinguish light sources. Perhaps lanterns can be excluded to give them a use in desperate situations. Makes the end-game that much more claustrophobic and battle-filled for the exits.

[Spike Traps: Spike Traps receive a rework, which is as follows:
-Spike Traps can now only be triggered once a player or enemy has stepped on or jumped on top of them, rather than in their proximity.
-Spike Traps can no longer damage players or enemies walking on them after they have been triggered.
-Spike Traps can now damage players who jump on them while they are active.
-Spike Traps no longer activate when a dead enemy is on top of them.
-Spike Traps now deal 33 damage on the initial hit, and 15 damage per repeated hit from jumping.
-Spike Traps now take 0.2 seconds to activate once stepped on to compensate for the tighter activation area.
-Spike Traps now take 1.5 seconds to reset once they retract.
-Spike Traps afflict a slowdown effect if they hit you, reducing your speed by 40% for 5 seconds.
The idea is to make spike traps feel a little more fair and logical, while also making it so that they can't be abused as well against enemies by keeping them locked in them. Now this sounds like multiple suggestions at once, but this is an overarching suggestion to make these nasty little things a little more balanced. They'll still be dangerous, but not dumb.]

Make it so when you buff an ally with a spell there's a different duration, or make it so you can't buff others with Haste. All these nerfs have done is make solo Wizards suck more and more, they aren't gonna fix Speedy barb. Even if you make it like 4 seconds people are still gonna use Haste on Barb, these balance changes are not addressing the root of the problem.

[Weapons need more attack variations, like for example, swords being able to slash and thrust. We need a button to slash and another one to thrust.

Make all Wizard spells only self-cast by default. Then add a passive perk they can choose in their Class screen, that allows them to cast things on others (such as Haste), but it does so at reduced effect.
Doing this will allow solo Wizards to be buffed and nerfed independently from the Wizards that just sit back and put Haste on Barbs or whatever else.

In a game where being careful and methodical will get you through every pve encounter, why is there a glaring discrepancy in the cave troll fight where you have to have fortnite adderal kid reaction times to correctly interpret whether he's going to do the low swing or high swing after he roars and charges? I'm pushing 30 and I sure as hell don't have the reaction time for that crap. A monster that can oneshot you should have a tiny bit more of a telegraph, don't you think? And no, the roar and sweep isn't JUST a ranger issue, half the time I initiated a fight he immediately roared because he aggros from a lot further away than his roar trigger range.

Please stop nerfing wizard spells!
Wizard already one of the weakest classes without gear and one of the most depended on gear to actually be good. Every nerf to their spells making that situation worse and worse. Wizards in tops of HR leaderboard(the ones that every non-wizard comply and cry about) doesn't get there because of wizards spells being too OP - they got there because they are really good at the game AND they can reliably get good gear with "+all stats" and "+flat magic damage" for themselves. Most wizards aren't like that. Even with all that nerfs to wizards that happened this playtest, top wizards can still get good gear and then proceed to destroy and infuriate HR-lobbies while average wizards like me going in normals in basic gear can't afford to move a cm in wrong direction coz someone may hear/see it and come to kill them in up to 2 swings/arrows

Fix the itemization. +All Stats and +Flat damage modifiers are vastly more valuable than anything else. The % based modifiers like buff duration, physical damage protection etc are good in theory but are tuned way too low. Reduce +all and +mag / phys damage, and buff the other modifiers by 1.5, 2.0 even 3.0 x in order to promote some gear diversity.

Character: This rotund and jovial half-troll is a connoisseur of fine foods, pursuing his dream of someday becoming a royal chef. He'll certainly fix you up with a "delicious" meal that puts some hair on your chest, for a little coin...and even provide you with coin if you procure some ingredients for him on your many adventures! Not one for battle, Mutton requires every adventurer of Dark and Darker to provide him with ingredients to hone his skills in the kitchen.
Purpose: Incorporate a new merchant that sells food items that can provide buffs when consumed in a dungeon. These meals would, however, would expire after a certain duration of time...so you would have to purchase and use as needed. They also take a period of time to eat during your adventures, requiring you to plan before indulging in these...fine...foods. This would also require the incorporation of a harvesting mechanic from corpses, allowing players to obtain ingredients that they can then sell to Mutton. These too would expire, meaning that the player base would have to keep Mutton perpetually stocked so that he too can keep the meals coming.]

Buff the Cleric spell "Requiem" to also either:
A) Make you resurrect allies [X]% faster.
B) Make the Resurrection spell take [X] less Spell Memory in order to equip.
I think either of these would make the perk useable, both could work as well but it might be too strong in that case.
As it stands right now I have never seen a max-level Cleric using it with about ~50 hours played between this playtest and the previous one.

Unsure what the lore of our adventurers are, but whenever your character dies they are permanently dead and you play a new adventurer(just a more experienced one to keep levels, who is from the same guild as previous one to keep storage).
Meaning their face is going to be randomised and looking different after each death (allow the option to randomise the gender as well)

The Fighter perk Combo Attack currently resets the bonus damage it grants after the attack chain finishes even if you are able to continue attacking within the window. Either increase the bonus damage or remove the reset mechanic. Also, the description says the consecutive hit window is three seconds but it feels more like 1 second (could just be me).

I think subclasses can be a cool idea. Subclasses would not be a new option in character creation but built around the perks, skills and equipment you use. Wizard could have skills that orient him into a more of a close quarters fighter instead of a squishy, ranged spellcaster for example. Other ideas can be ranger becomes more crossbow oriented and fighter might have skills that make him of a tank but limits his offensive power

The addition of the billhook polearm for the fighter, ranger, or barbarian. Similar in use to the halberd but with a different objective, the billhook could be used as a primarily anti-shield weapon with its curved tine still able to hit a player over the edge of the shield. The main downside being that it would have no thrusting attacks, unlike its other counterparts, the only polearm in the game that wouldn't have one.

Reduce the number of people in maps and revert spawn point changes added in the latest playtest. The changes made to maps during this playtest have made the maps into battle arenas and there is just too much PvP for the lady and I. We got into the game last playtest and the amount of pvp vs pve created a tense environment where you cleared through the map with your buds, never knowing if you might get jumped by players. But now that is no longer the case, there is no tension, it is just players everywhere in every direction. There is barely any time to do fun PvE stuff like battle skellie generals and wraiths because you're almost guaranteed to get jumped. I'm sure many will like these changes, but my gf and I do not. We love the premise of PvPvE, but full blast PvP all the time from ~30 seconds after you zone into a map is not what we're looking for. Best of luck with the game and take care :).

First of all thanks for the amazing game and playtest. I would really like some quality of life changes with the stash. An auto fill button that puts all 10g stacks into empty or available gold coin purses. Also please let us open gold coin purses in bigger quantities than 10 gold each time, perhaps just right click the purse and give us an open button so all the gold in that purse appears in your stash in stacks of 10. I would really like an auto-sort button for inventory that organizes everything and doesn't leave empty slots between items/gear/valuables. Finally please can we get some kind of shared storage between created characters or a way to trade between your own characters at a gold cost, perhaps a mail system or something which you can use at a fee. Additional mechanics using Heart Souls, adding some value to slain player's souls beyond resurrection.
- Replenishing Shrines
- New altar that can accept player souls in exchange for restoring abilities/spells
- Devil Merchant who will buy them or have a quest to turn in. Could double as a Bounty mechanic - Players in spectate can pay a fee to place a bounty. Next person to turn in the marked player's soul can turn it in for the collective pool of the Bounty.
- When carrying an enemy soul, any surviving members of the enemy team have a visual indicator - giving them an advantage if they try to save their friend's soul.
Expanding Heart Souls within their current function:

I'd love a more co-op focused mindset for this wonderful team game. A number of suggestions could improve the team experience:

Remove the 1-player-only limit on escape portals. Perhaps they are open only for so much time or usable by only 1 team, but it is currently frustrating to only have 1 or 2 people escape when you are queueing into the game with friends. The game is already really hard as is; it would be a wonderful QoL upgrade to not have the limited portal mechanic and to be able to win or lose as a team.

Shared XP (in some form). We're currently discouraged from playing as a coordinated team when we do not get XP for kills or chest looting. We're already sharing loot we find, don't make us manually make sure we split up XP as well. Individual xp is one of the bad parts of old-school gaming that really shouldn't be implemented in a team game.

Slowed movement through teammates (or at least a smaller hitbox). This matches the old school ttrpg idea of being able to move through your teammates' spaces but not an enemies. Right now teammates block each other, and that's OK up to a point, but with the super narrow doors and corridors the game has it can be annoying for a casual group to maneuver around each other. You can say "get gud scrub" and "coordinate better", but this is just a QoL suggestion that also opens up more interesting party tactics in combat where a frontline fighter can hold a door while his ranged teammates squeeze past him to escape. To be clear: this would just affect player model interaction, not team-attack damage or hitboxes.

All of Barbarian items (except ones that can be used on cleric) should not be able to get magical dmg bonuses of all sorts, spell casting modifiers and other magic related stuff. He is a nude berserk, not some mage, so i dont get why double axes are buffed with true magical dmg.
Same for ranger bows and other ranger related items - magic is not his thing.
Tho mages can use melee, i think its much more obvious to have magic bonus stats on his items, if it possible you can set chances to his items, where magic buffs occurs more often then physical ones.
It's just frustrating to get rare item which have those absolutely useless and absurd stats like those.

Make boss room entrances drop-in from the ceiling only, with the exit only appearing if you kill the boss. This would prevent people from hanging out in a doorway taking cheap shots at people trying to kill a boss. They'd have to drop down into the room where the boss can target them as well if they want to PvP.

allowing fighter to not use bows so it stops taking away from the ranger class it’s not the damage that the fighter does that is the issue it’s the fact the fighter has the most defensive stats and the ability to poke like a ranger without the risk of being two shot like a ranger in a fight. It’s a broken mechanic and destroys the purpose of playing the dedicated ranger class.

[Add a option in the character creation to create a Hardcore Class where if you Die and(if you playing in a team) does not get ressucited or a mate extract with your soul heart you loose the character. to encourage a person to use this option, the hardcore character could have an increased luck stat making him get rarer items easily but if he dies its over.

Address the Barbarian Question: Top tier for solo, leagues above every other class, and still very strong in trios. He is not gear dependent AT ALL. A barb can melt a player in full green plate with a single grey hatchet, so long as he can buff first. This would not be too terrible, if barbs moved like originally intended. As it stands, they can outpace most players in close quarters, making it hard to evade their attacks'. A Barb running an Agility build is unstoppable. This could be addressed by doing two things:
A: removing the speed buff from the "Rage" skill
B: removing the flat movement speed bonus to large weapons applied a the beginning of this playtest.
It's okay to have a Tank class, but Tanks are supposed to be as slow as they are strong. A Tank that can rush you down isn't a tank, it's an Abomination!

different tiers of gold pouches, with high ranges of price. Or even finding materials to upgrade pouches to bigger containers. Im thinking. Its no secret Haste is a spell that is dominant in pvp for multiple play tests now, I dont think it can be adjusted with simple nerfs since its application is just so good. My suggestion is to Replace it with another spell "Fortify" - Active for 10 seconds, the user is unaffected by movement speed debuffs and reduces roots and trap disarmament time. This would give the same application as haste to a barb/fighter (and even help a wizard run away) because projectiles will be nullified for a short amount of time, but gives much more counter play options for the team being chased by this spell.

I said it before and ill say it again, remove spiders, they offer nothing to the game other then serving to make people quit. I know PvE seems to be a really struggling topic for the devs here but it REALLY isn't that hard. Spiders suck they serve only to annoy players and glitch them into walls. This might be a hot take but I actually think it would be better for the game to keep the stash size as is. The amount of gold items are selling for is perfect in my opinion. Smaller stash size also discourages gear hoarding and actually encourages players to use the gear that they have so they have space in their stash.

add a magic damage protection pot. I find for boss fights in hell the protection pots are fairly useless, since only the lich fight can really benefit much from the current protection potion due to the archers. Though even then most of the time you dont get hit by the archers the only damage source you generally take is magic damage.

- Weapons need more attack variations, like for example, swords being able to slash and thrust. What we need is a button to slash and another one to thrust.
- Would be great to also being able to kick some one when he is raising shield, so he could have his guard down.
- Kicking doors should also be a thing, and if some one is behinde the kicked door, would be trowed away on the floor, being disabled for a limited time. This way, it would make possible to counter when another team is gate keeping doors.
- Right now, there is too little surprise element in PvP combat.
We should be able to cancel weapon attack animations, and to be fair, there should be a cooldown when cancelling too much attacks, so there wouldn't be abuses. It would be nice to have a combat similar to Chivalry or Mordhau.

[The current gameplay pace feels too fast. Its basically 10 minute PVP dungeon runs. I think refocusing back into an actual dungeon crawler for the first part of the dungeon and the deeper you go the more opportunities you have to engage other players. I felt the pacing of Playtest 2 was better as we were spawning on the outside rings of the dungeon and moving inward. This could also be accomplished by using a first level of the dungeon for more PVE oriented play and transition into more PVP as people go down to a second level smaller map.]

More cosmetics/character customization options! many may dislike this suggestion, but my idea is to limit the maximum benefit you can get from a stat in order to reduce the impact of stacking certain stats. This will also encourage players to use a mix of different stats instead of just focusing on physical damage. The idea is to introduce diminishing returns on these stats so that the "best meta armor" remains strong, but other stats will become more valuable as well.

Merchants should offer you more gold for gear. Green tier items sell for at least 25-40g at the trading post, but merchants only offer you 5-10 gold depending on the item. Feels like there's no point in taking gear out out of raid if you can't sell it to other players. Selling to merchants should be an option worth considering. Right now their offers are a joke

A kite shield, exclusively for fighter, as either a uncommon or legendary shield. Blocks the head and chest better, slightly obscures vision more, and crouch guarding leaves your head more exposed due to having to hold it slightly sideways, but better AR and slightly larger hit box for blocking.

a primarily PvP oriented mode called "The Arena" that is only one room and functions like a gladiator battle that has a selection for ranged/magic/melee matches, it could use the circular pit type room in the caves with the singular bridge over it and would give drops in chests scattered throughout until there is a winner and loot gets better slowly as match progresses as well as put gold coin wagers on either leaderboard players or yourself. It could drop in PvE enemies every once in awhile to spice it up but the only way out is to be the last man standing. This would balance the game's playerbase out a bit more and you could even have a high-roller version which would be dope seeing as you could go in, someone may bet on you, and then if you win you get some extra gold, loot, and the more you win in a row the more you make. This could open another tournament style even if wanted.

[For a solo beginner, depending on your class, it can feel near-impossible to escape the dungeon, much less escape consistently enough to build any wealth. As someone who's played solo wizard for about 10 hours now, I'm annoyed that it takes me 10 raids just to save up enough gold to buy a health potion, only for that potion to prove completely useless when a hasted, prot-enchanted, barb pulverizes my little wizard skull in one blow. It's simply not viable to play the game solo this way and ever develop a stash. For this reason I think there should be a lower level (potentially solo-only) dungeon. It seems they're trying to do this with the goblin caves, but I've heard these are still very difficult without having some gear to start with and being fairly high level. The game needs to make room for people to get their foot in the door.]

Focus more on the social aspect of the game by revamping the Gathering Hall to allow the party to be open to specific classes/level limit so you can spend less time trying to find who you genuinely wish to play with. The shield has physics while it's on the back, when we put the shield on the back it becomes part of the body so when it holds up it hits the shield while it's guarded we take damage which doesn't make the slightest sense and ends up taking away a little the usefulness of the shield , mainly big shields like the pavise that would be really cool if it worked while it's on your back, which alias would be right since it doesn't make sense for damage to go through the shield just because it's not in your hand, I think it would add a lot to the game if the shield works while it's on its back, it doesn't make sense that it doesn't have physics.

Add more keybinds. Fix your portals, i have to dry hump it like a dog to get it to activate, make the range a few pixels bigger so it can register when a player touches it. Im sick of having to jump into it to get that instant portal register. Those who know, know. You have to like push your body against it and theres a 0.7-1 second delay to it, it doesn't add anything good to the game, it's just bad coding, please fix it.

monsters in goblin's cave (solo mode) should be nerfed, it gives to much of an edge for classes such as ranger, a class that have a lot of survivability in it's kit (self healing, can kill monters from a safe distance, etc...)

Enable Slowmode or a better auction house where it dissuades people from spamming every 10 seconds. A static auction house somewhat like Escape From Tarkov also dissuades the bot spam for outside websites trying to sell gold and other items from 3rd party vendors

gamestyle is very static, it asks to be defensive and defensive only against monsters. There's no real fight other than dodge/kite, I think that's a problem that needs adressing. If not în the near future, în the long run maybe. But it truly needs some rework so you can have more playstyles.
It generally is a basic style of play that's is only hard because monsters have either a lot of hp or they deal a lot of damage, but other than knowing your limit, there's no real fight. It's like a co-op and pvp Dark Souls with extra steps

There should be a whole separate mode for getting loot where some one who is decked out in gear isn't able to join, you can only join with the default loadout to give you a leg to stand on instead of getting one shot by everyone who is too afraid to go to the high roller table

A proper item listing store, similar to how the steam market does it's item listings but you can do it in Dark and Darker for gold rather than real world money. Allows people to get easy sales without having to struggle with the constantly moving chat and the confusion that it can cause. [Add an enchanting tab to one of the merchants, like alchemist maybe, add crystals you can mine in raid. 1 crystal can be mined for 5 crystal shards which can then be turned into 2 crystal dust each. You can then go to the trader to enchant items like weapons and armor, for a balanced amount like 50 dust for an enchantment. The amount of times you can enchant an item should varry off of its tier. be able to disenchant already enchanted items and add their allowed number of enchants for 50 dust each, for example greys,whites, and greens should be able to have 1 enchant, while blues can have 2, purples 3, and so on with each enhant costing another 50 dust. This would give us some new things to do, as well as increase the value of hight tier items that are typically looked over just due to their poor enchant rolls.]

Merchants - when you buy things, it should deposit into your storage, not your in-person inventory, like more than half the time, people buy things in bulk per reset, just to stash in the storage anyway so why would it prioritize your inventory? (I'm mad that on more than 1 occasion I buy out the green/blue weapons in a store to use later, only to forget to stash them away and bring them into a raid)
Trading - why the frick is the cancel button the biggest ui element in the trade screen? I've instinctively hit the cancel button more times than I can count, thinking its the confirm trade button. The box with the check can stay as a STATUS indicator, not the actual confirmation button.

I have played ranger for close to 200 hours and I think some of his skills need a change. First quickshot. Quickshot can give you a free reload every time it is up, which I think is around 15 seconds. This makes it so rangers barely need to reload, which I don’t think should be the case for the class. I think it should give 3 bullets to do the attack and not be cancelable. This way it will still be a 3 shot burst but not give a reload. Also maybe make multi shot not cancelable cause of the same issue. Tbh I think ranger now is pretty balanced other than quickshot

[Revamp player trading. Assuming player trading doesn't get completely transformed into some kind of auction house and that the devs want to keep the function as is where players show up to a chat room and hark their wares, I suggest to change the way the lobby population is displayed. Split the numbers to show how many of that class are in the trade chat and then show the rest of the players numbers. It allows players to know at a glance roughly how many people are in the channel to buy and how many are there to sell. Also, it would be nice to have an "all class" trade channel for the various armors that are all class.]

[ Have a settings toggle for auto-equipping items from inventory to belt (utility 3,4). Background: I find the current auto-equip to belt system frustrating, and would like to turn it off. Examples: I have only a single potion in slot 4, but if I spam 4 it brings a campfire or whatever from my inventory to my belt. the only place to find grey gear are the merchants (along side higher tier stuff). Greys will no longer spawn in dungeons. Dungeons will give out greens or higher at significantly higher rates. This will even out the gear imbalance by making it significantly easier to gear up.

Please make an option to view other players without skins, this wont hurt any gameplay design or mechanic, why do this? well simple because its easy to mix up other players for skeleton skin for example, they are going full commando usually and that is probably on purpose, this wont hurt anyone and its a choice if u want to see them in base form or skin.

Idk if it is just me but since the most recent hotfix I have been having a lot of instances where I will fire all 3 arrows from quickshot on ranger after using the ability and not a single arrow will fire it will just reload my bow and put quickshot on cd. It's very annoying when fighting players or mobs.

[Rogue Uncanny Dodge Skill: Gives the Rogue a small roll letting them dodge or get into or out of combat. When barbarian is tuned please be careful with what is changed.
Barbarians are meant to be high damage sorts of classes, so try not to focus on that.
I believe barbarians are only too strong because of how insanely tanky they are in addition to their damage.
Fighter should be the tank class, but at the moment Barbarian is just tankier.
I think that barbarian tankyness should be the first thing tuned and not their damage so that they are not turned into a worse fighter.
The damage is what makes them unique and is the staple of the barbarian class.

[The current market i think should go back to the old way. People dont know what stats other classes need and are posting them in the wrong channels. Prices are pretty messed up this patch. I believe the old way is just better. Add more sorting options to the game. Such as stat searching. Say for instance that i want +all stats. I could then search for only those items in the market and so on and so forth. I believe this would make the market actually enjoyable to view and try to get/sell items. Yea seeing everything go through chat is cool and all but more officiant market place would be better for everyone. Please consider this for next patch. Clerics healing in team fights is actually so strong your hindering yourself by not taking him on your team. Maybe make it a heal over time or a channeled heal effect like magic missle , longer cast time etc. And with the judgement you can just bring a fighters health to half instantaneously , the amount of time ive killed people by just pressing Q is kinda funny. Maybe add a perk for melee where we half healing done to a target they are fighting?

[Add a visual indicator to the amount of stacks of chill you have during the Ghost King fight. Something like ice gradually covering the corners of your screen. As it stands you can have 20+ stacks and not even realize if you don't look at the small debuff icon above your health bar. Remove somewhere around 30-50% of light sources inside of dungeons.
After the last few play tests, game speed and how people play the game has increased dramatically.
Reducing the amount of light would not only emphasize how beautiful the environments are (seriously, turn off the torches sometime) but also decrease the speed of game play and create more reasons to use torches and Wizard's Light Orb spell. Ignite would even benefit from it since the spell casts light around the target's weapons.
Besides, the game isn't called Dark and Darker for nothing.

Its not a suggestion but more of a concept to think about.
1. A small 3v3 arena map with tribunes on both sides.
2. Small enter fee, like 50-100g
3. Simple rating system, just +- fixed amount of pts
4. Winner takes both fees
5. No looting, if you die you don't lose your gear (similar to lineage olympiad and wow arenas, and the concept of resurrection is already in the game so it fits)
6. Top 50-100 teams (or just some qualifiers) can participate in the daily tournaments with a big enter fee, probably with 8 or 16 teams grid
7. In the tourney games viewers can actually join and sit on the tribunes (needs some performance thinking, but since viewers are just dummies Im sure there is a simple solution to that)
8. Viewers can gamble with gold on the games
9. To avoid fixed matches the will be a max bet limit, that is x3 times lower than enter fee, and to win something you need to get multiple bets right (this one is tricky, needs more thinking into it)
10. This way people wont lose interest in normal mode, because they need to get some dope gear and money, hardcore competitive players will jerk on ratings and casual players will have a daily entertainment and some gambling addiction (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖). Plus it will be a good way to practice pvp and its perfectly fits the setting of a fantasy adventure world

[Buff inferno loot, high roller inferno loot, and normal high roller loot. The risk to reward of inferno high roller is horrible. You beat the 3rd hardest buff boss in the game that you have to bring a team and you best loot for and you get a blue item. Same with all the other mobs down there, they are insanely strong and require your best loot and team yet they will drop absolutely nothing. Half the time your team doesn't even make money back with amount spent on heals and open fee. The only way you usually get loot is killing players or the main bosses in those arenas. Please change this so there is more variation on how its possible to get loot.]

[This one might be a wild one but a new class : Pirate. The concept i got in my head is something like this. Can only use 1 handed weapons and can have a flintlock pistol which takes longer to reload and can be put togather with the 1 handed main weapon or put as a 2nd one hand and mixed match.

[A PvE modality without a time limit would be incredible in which you could play even with 5 people, in which you were in a dungeon and your objective was to go down as many floors as possible, each floor being more difficult than the previous one and having better loot, making honor to the name "Dark and Darker" and having a Boss guarding the entrance to the next floor.
In some area of certain floors there would be a Safe Zone, where you could rest, revive fallen companions or even disconnect.
There would be a group leader and the number of floors would be saved in his game, if the entire team dies they restart and you have to start from the first floor.]

(14 damage) Let the Rogue choose between which type of dagger to start with, but all will be the lowest quality. (Maybe even same DPS?) This way players can personalize their kits more. Some Clerics may prefer a book to cast spells over the base staff. As long as they are of equal quality, (Or DPS, etc.) I don't think it will hurt the balancing. Maybe create a starter (Or old, rusty, broken, etc.) version of each classes weapon type so that they all end up with equal power. (This will also make it more clear as to which weapons can/can't be stored in the stash!) This will diversify the gameplay of early wipes, as well as just general gold runs, etc. Adding more character customization can only make it more in the spirit of the DnD that inspired it.]

Revert spawn locations to Playtest 2 locations. This playtest was substantially less fun as a result of unfair / garbage spawns. It was especially punishing for solo players. The goblin dungeon was also anti-fun.

Balance / Fix Wizard weapons. TLDR: Crystal Ball is overpowered, book is ok, staff is poop, crystal sword is mega poop. The easiest to use (casting speed, wall clanking) catalysts should not have the best +mag dmg bonus. Casting with a crystal sword is so unbearable it would need a big native bonus to be viable. Staff would be okay with some magic damage on it, or even better give it +Will natively. Staff / Crystal ball are unviable once you have access to crystal ball or at least a book.

NERF RANGER CLASS : They can do what they want (countering fighter/Barbarian/cleric and wizard geared) with 0 gearing. They got more move speed than another all class, except rogue..

there are too many mobs in goblin tunnels Its easier for solos to escape forgotten castle than goblin tunnels.
Please reduce spawns in the tunnels, OR space them out better so solo players are not dealing with kiting a goblin into a goblin into a goblin mage and so on.

[Remove the starter gear and provide perhaps 5 sets of starter gear for each new character. Make a merchant that sells starter gear and is always restocked. There is almost no risk or satisfaction of killing people when everyone is running around with the free starter gear.]

some sort of rogue buffs, they are one of the riskiest classes to play in PVE because of the low health, lack of range options and short range. On top of that their main class identity can easily be replaced with a potion. They are easily the worst class in high roller, and for bossing, and outside of the occasional cheeky ambush shenanigans, they are also worse than fighter at pvp
Hidden pockets/creep would be a good place to start, make them part of the base kit

CLERIC; Exclusive Primary Weapon: Flail Mace.
Has a triple animation attack using a "whip-like" arm action that whip the flail 3 times at the target. With each successful impact, damage is increased by 5% on next hit up to max 10%. Causes bleeding status effect if hit with all three impacts that deals 15% health over 5 seconds.

Add some dodging system to the game like rolls, dash, or blocking with swords and bows, currently there is nothing you can do when someone comes close to you with a sword, you can't run because the guy even with a sword in his hand runs more than you and you as an archer or mage just accept death because you will hardly be able to recover the distance between you and your enemy once he sticks to you, so it should have some dodge system like it has in all games like elden ring where you can roll and dodge attacks or add a run that can only be used hands-free, no matter how skilled you are there's not much you can do when a barbarian comes at you with a hammer that takes away 80% of your life in 1 attack and hits from 2m away.

fix this crap you guys put in this patch where anything on the ground acts like sticky tar paper and makes you rubber band all over the place and fix the issue where people get caught ontop of spiders unable to jump off of them or take any action while the spiders damage them, it's really brought down the enjoyment of this playtest compared to the butter smooth zero issues none of this stuff being such a constant issue where even blank places of ground suddenly act like tar paper you have to jump/jiggle free from. People are complaining about this issue all over reddit, it's not unique to me, my internet is fantastic and my hardware isn't to blame as its an issue for people with multiple setups. Please resolve this issue, I talked this game up to thousands of people since the last playtest and now tons of them are having the same problem this playtest 😦

Make turning slower while swinging your weapon. This way weapons have more character like cleave vs stab. Currently you can just cleave with a rapier or longsword. Also makes 180 barbarian hits mid swing less likely

[So I have just had a game as fighter with full plate purple blue armor, and enemy barbar in basic gear managed to hit me once for 80% of my hp with his basic gray gear. Rework barbarian please. This is jsut not okay. I understand that we can block his attacks so there is counterplay but its still pretty OP. Give him less dmg and perk for disarming shields with few attacks or smth, Barbarian in green gear is like fighter in full purple with good bonuses on melee combat.... I played 100 hours of this playtest and its astonishing that he is still unnerfed, atleast remove his armor penetration so we can last bit longer as fighters... I tested it myself and barbarian with perk +10 is dealing 115 dmg to figurinu with only blue felling, its all just toooo much. Way too much ]

Give the rogue 2 versions of hide, one where they can move that's alot shorter in duration, and the current one. That way, they can equip both skills to have an initiation and an escape, with the 50% damage bonus from stealth on both from the perk. This allows more contextual play, where the rogue can save their second hide to run away, or burn it for bonus damage to get the kill.

I feel like this game could benefit very well from being able to identify people's current health status.
Depending on health (healthy, injured, hurt, near death) there could be subtle but noticeable cuts/scratches and/or blood to help identify current hp state for friends and enemies alike.

[Cross character stash. Idea is simple, give us a way to transfer items from one character to another. Item transfer is a thing already because of player trade, but there is no way for our own characters to pass items to each other. I would even enjoy it if there was a 15g deposit fee for every item put in the storage to bring it in line with the trade market. I wouldn't mind it being level locked to 10 or above either. the main thing is that I want to be able to pass that +5 weapon damage green mystic vestments I found on my ranger back to my smashy cleric instead of having to vendor it because nobody wants to buy it.]

If youre going to have bosses in the game that require you and your party to be fully geared in order to even have a shot at taking them down with the short ammount of time you have to get to and then kill said boss on inferno then they need to have means to learn said boss attacks to learn an dodge them. As for the Cave Troll idk what the ironmace team was thinking changing the attack mechanics for the boss from a overhead swing that you can duck under to a mix between the orignal attack and an a leg level sweep where you have to jump over. My issue is 1. The stutter movement problems that have been introduced to this playtest make jumping over said attack a 50/50 dice roll on if the game is going to rubber band or glitch out forcing my character back into the one shot swing. 2. Make the danm attack more telegraphed so we can tell which of the two swings he is going to do before hes two inches from our face leaving us zero time to react to properly dodge depending on the attack. I love this game and i have talked mountains of it to everyone ik but come on guys this needs to be fixed and this should have never slipped through the cracks!

The ability to set pocket slots to certain items so when I pick up a potion it goes in the right slot and not randomly.. hate having to scroll both pockets to know where my potions or items are.. Like if I pick this up I'm putting it in this spot on my side where I expect it to be.

Make silver much more common than gold. As it stands it seems as if it’s somewhat pointless to grab as gold is more common and comes in higher amounts. I feel as if every silver drop was instead a single gold coin than nothing of value would be lost. It would make much more sense if the silver was more common and shopkeeps dealt in silver and gold was essentially still worth 3 silver— effectively making silver the main currency.

[The wizard needs a rework. The Skeleton mage's fireballs leave a puddle of fire that can do considerable damage, while the wizard's doesnt even do this. You have low HP and your spells travel slowly, chain lightning can backfire, and that's all reasonable. But for that, actually hitting someone with your spell (which takes considerably more effort than a ranger with infinite arrows spamming at you) should really fuck them up. Damage, debuffs, etc. Someone charging a wizard who takes a ball of burning magic energy point blank shouldn't just walk it off like nothing ]

make bardiche a baseline weapon for fighters. no barbarian will ever choose a bardiche above any other weapon because it counts as a polearm and they can just use axe specialization. people literally sell EPIC bardiches for only 100 gold because NO ONE will buy them and they cant be linked in fighter chat, only barb.

The way it works is by being the last message sent. If someone else sends a message, the bot deletes its message, and then sends an another message to be the last message sent.
It's very nice and works out extremely well in large community discord servers]

[Bigger map with 5 players, 15 teams with multiple bosses. Clearing bosses guarantees blue portals. Circle replaces with countdown timer. New white portals, activating and going into the portals will teleport to random far end side of the dungeon instead, portal lasts 3 seconds, provide temporary tactical retreat option if not able to clear boss and enemies at the same time. Red portals lead to a raid boss which is extremely hard which will give titles and weapon skins]

AHEM so I think we can all agree that good gears makes you way too OP. We should rebalance gear so that it focuses more on defense scaling as it goes up in tiers, instead of damage. This way, high end fights are more drawn out and skillfull, and less about who can headshot the other first with a +12 total damage unique felling axe. Maybe change armor rating scaling, and also diminish add ons that increase damage? For the health of the game...

[Rogue needs more mobility or a dodge skill. At the moment classes like Fighters and Barbarians can catch up to Rogues easily by using their skills and Rogues have less HP than Rangers. A dash skill with a 10-15 second cooldown or a dodge skill that requires timing would help Rogue a lot in surviving direct fights. There is honestly no point in using Rogue since they have barely anything over other classes, also only way to kill players without having tons of hours on Rogue is to ambush them.]

A forest update, adding a large forest map filled with ruins, wolves, goblins, rabbits, wondering deer, deer(?), and even dangerous werewolves. Makes the use of torches and lanterns more needed, in exchange for more torch and lantern spawns. Could even have more spawns for sub-weapons like traps, throwable knives, and throwable axes, along with campfires, as to add to the whole "we are going hunting tonight" feeling. Still could have chests lying around, of course. Could even come with a new player class: The lycanthrope, which can have two forms, the normal player form and a monstrous form. Both risky to play.

[Give Felling Axe recovery frames when hitting a shield. It currently has the ability to follow up attacks faster than any other class after being deflected off a shield, which makes no sense on a weapon that can 1-2 headshot in most cases.]

[ I feel like you should be able to leave the tavern before it starts without losing your equipment, as well as a way to cancel searching for a game. [improve items' hitbox to be able to pick them better. I see the aim for realism when puting a necklace's hitbox all auround the chain itself and not inside the circle it forms, but in real life you don't just use two fingers to grab it by the chain. What you do is extend your hand completely and then grab the object, specially when u're a sort of burglar and want to steal quickly]

Add extra tabs in stash. You could then monetize this by making them cost gold or IRL money to help fund more game development. I'd pay a boatload just to keep cool stuff I found in the dungeons instead of having to sell it all in trade chat because I simply dont have the space.. Sick of running out of space for items I want to keep on my explorations. There's just not enough room in the stash to make it viable for long-term play and it desperately needs a change.

Give Cleric an alternative spell catalyst to the staff. I find it odd that Cleric uses a wizard staff to cast spells. 2 ideas would be: Holy Cross (either wooden or golden) or Prayer Beads (monk style, could be bulky and wooden), you could melee attack with both. (Given how devoted the devs are, this is probably on a list somewhere already, so this is a minor, basically cosmetic suggestion).

Add a huge dungeon PVE exclusive dungeon for 6 players with a dragon/beholder/minotaur boss fight at the end. The entry would be paywalled by gold just like highroller so players couldn't play it exclusively unless they did really well. It could also be time gated to 1 entry a day or 3 entries per week.

gear in this game should have an item level or power level which combines into an average on your stat screen that matches you with other players of similar gear status. that would drastically improve matchmaking on finale release and you wont have people in full blue gear (like me) joining a lobby of players who just started the game and one shotting all of them while being tickled by them.
most games have some level of mmr system but because you made this game mostly gear based instead of skill based it's unlikely mmr would work for this game because somone in grey gear is always going to lose to somone in blue. many rpg's however do have a item lvl system or gear locked content that requires you to have higher lvl gear to participate, that can be this games mmr system
