A cheap way to do "communication" for now would to just add whistling. It would help non-vc rando parties to communicate like whistling to beckon them to pick up an item they dropped for them or to get them to follow along. Would also be funny to whistle at people from dark corners or behind walls to bait them for the funnys.

Have you considered adding survival bow to the rogues weapon list? I feel like as a solo in highroller a lot of the stronger PvE mobs are extremely rough without either a ranged weapon or a shield, especially floor 3. It also kind of fits rogues as a weapon already, low damage but high attack speed, could maybe work as a skill like how ranger has one for spear?

The skeletal cosmetic is a neat idea. However, can we not have cosmetics that change stats? I'd be interested in it, but I'm not penalizing myself. I also don't think it should provide any kind of buff. If a cosmetic gives any kind of stat change, any way changes the play, it's not cosmetic.

I have a feeling this has probably been said, BUT I enjoy the combat in this - though I think something that would make tight space/corridor melee combat more fluid and predictable would be binding stab to middle mouse button ( on click or scroll ). thise would allow long weapons to be used correctly on stairs and doorways making them useful. having to complete a 3 part melee chain in order to stab with a halberd is quite silly! thanks for the fun gameplay guys!

All classes should have the same base interaction speed for certain things the same, I agree that rogues should be faster with looting and doors and disarming as such but tedious things such as mining as a solo cleric mining is a damn chore but im desperate to rock a Red set of badass armour! After playing in all the playtests and trying every character I think the very low arrow count is a huge nerf to the Ranger. I like the limited arrow idea but I do believe it needs to be done in a different way. I would like to suggest that you make the bows one handed and the only secondary that can be added with the bow is a Quiver item. Make the quiver act like every other item so it has a grey-orange variant which allows the Ranger to have more arrows/stats like other characters get from having a secondary.

Make the Swarm envelope outer map rooms only then slowly take another room closing in the center. No circle though just coat the rooms in the swarm and the have it flood into the others like an entity rather then a circle closing. We need something to replace the swarm. The mechanic in it of itself feels extremely gimmicky and just doesn't fit this genre of game. I'd much rather have anything other than a BR knockoff mechanic. Spawn elite enemies in cleared rooms after a set time (that don't drop loot), have roaming minibosses that appear after a set time (like a minotaur or something), anything other than this obnoxious BR shit.

The entire point of swapping gear is to pull out fists and run away so it makes no sense that the swap makes you pause from moving fast for a second. Fighting stuff on the ground with a weapon larger than a dagger is not fun as your weapon constantly bounces off of the ground, resetting your combo

Barbarian feels way too slow, its very difficult to fight any enemy beyond basic skeletons and mummies without taking guaranteed damage

A more refined combat system would be amazing for pvp, though I imagine something like this is already intended. Even just the ability to feint or kick would make melee combat flow much better.

Ranged feels too strong given that most encounters happen in long corridors with no flanking opportunity for melee-bound characters. Giving every class a ranged option would make this feel a little better

I just played high roller for the first time. Very disappointing. I would consider it to be a complete failure. The rubberbanding was awful, I'm talk 10 second delays between actions. I got mobbed down by mobs after I "opened" a blue portal and couldn't walk into it due top the effects. I lost all my good gear and spent all that gold just to lose it in a bad scenario. I would suggest removing high roller till the servers are playable. I love this game and the work you're doing but I was just so disappointed after gearing up, saving up and then getting that sort of experience.

Please make one permanent final exit portal on the last circle closing that all players can leave and must fight for so there can always be one victor player/team. It feels VERY bad to have an expensive high tier gear set on and then get stuck with no exit and just have to die because of RNG gameplay mechanics. A final circle would funnel all players and create an arena style endgame that many BR style games thrive on.

Right now from a risk reward perspective it is just not worth bringing in top tier loot such as Purple gear because even if you clear the map of players you can still just die to RNG and lose a week of farming ore. I think it is a huge detrement to the overall competitive enjoyment of your title.

PLEASE change the escape system somehow. Dying because of bad RNG is simply not fun in the slightest nor good gameplay. Dying because you misplayed is one thing, dying because you simply didn't get a portal spawn is terrible game design. The circle mechanic works in Battle Royales because if everyone but one player/group dies to the fog, then whoever lived the longest (last standing) ends up winning. In this game, if everyone dies to the circle because no portals, then nobody wins, so what is the point? Nobody wants situations where nobody wins because of RNG. Nobody is having fun in your game in that situation. On top of that this isn't a Battle Royale, it's an extraction game with LOOT that carries over and matters A LOT. BRs if you die you just queue another game and there's no persistence lost. Please please please, trust me on this and remove the RNG as much as possible. I'm fine with dying to mobs or players, but dying to RNG is horrible.

The game is great so far but I don't think the Battle Royale Ring system has a place here. It's just a different breed of game and much slower and more methodical than other BR games, maybe even slower paced than Tarkov which this game will be compared to a lot. Allowing the players to more freely progress and explore would be much better in my opinion. However I also understand that we can't let players just live inside the match. My initial thought was why not add a system that slowly respawns mobs as the match progress, but as time goes on mob density and toughness get stronger. This adds a system that still threatens the player for remaining in the match, as well as retaining an inevitable breaking point where the player won't be able to survive if they stay, while also giving the player the choice to leverage their own skill to stay in longer and continue exploring and looting as they please. Could also add in better loot drops from mobs as the match progresses.

A new character class - Merchant. Non PVP class (Mostly), main purpose is ability to to open mobile shops WITHIN the dungeon. Merchant's key ability would be "Push Cart" (homage to Ragnarok Online) - an ability to equip and use a new item type - the Merchant Cart. Items inside the cart are safe from being dropped in the Dungeon and can be sold through a temporary Shop/Trade interface within the dungeon.

There will going to have to be lots of balancing discussion/brainstorming on how to prevent any possible abuse with that system (for example Merchants wouldn't be able to put any stuff into the cart from the Dungeon, only the Gold from a Successful Trade), but if done right it could be incredibly fun to take a break from the usual PvE/PvP and make some gold a different way.

Ideas on how Merchant would be a viable class to make money:
-> Skills to make trading in the dungeon actually viable, for example an ability to set up a Trading Tent, which is a small PvP-free zone where passing players can take a quick rest and check out the wares. If the customer player has damaged someone or has been damaged within 60 seconds, they can't enter the Tent to prevent PvP abuse.
-> Skills to be able traverse the dungeon faster to get to the best place to open a shop and ability to predict where the circle is going, for same reason.
-> Skills to allow gold/equipment loan services with adjustable interest rates.
-> Skills to potentially make trading easier/more profitable like lowering the trading fee.
-> An ability for a personal golden portal, that only merchant can pass through. (To escape dungeon last minute after all the trading)
-> An ability to contract other players as "Mercenaries" and ability to boost their combat abilities in game using Gold Coins

make a ranged weapon for rouge, the only reason i suggest this is simply due to how deadly ranged monsters are to rouge. Now I'm not suggesting a crossbow or anything thing like that due to how frustrating/upsetting that can be in a pvp situation with sneak attack and poison. My idea would be a sort of blow dart gun, it would be slow and have just a bit more range than the throwing knifes. The damage ideally would be low and negligible on its own, with the actual damage coming from poison (like in real life) from the class.

So apparently if there is a dead mob on top of the revive altar (a skull bat) the player will spawn clipped into the dead mobs body and can not move. Decrease speed of the last few circles or add another stage in higher roller mode. Most games in high roller end with a big fight for the blue portals. These fights are fun but are not rewarding. By the 2-3 fully geared groups are done fighting the game has less than 30 seconds remaining. At this point you are able to loot maybe one of the other geared players if you are lucky and then forced to run away looking for a portal either blue or red. Having more time on the final zone will lead to more rewarding fights in high roller games.

Rogue gets a handheld crossbow, a sort of blowgun, or access to the survival bow. Their only real range comes from throwing knives and any archers are a death sentence. Ranger would have access to the handheld crossbow and dart gun, but the handheld crossbow would be barely as powerful as the recurve bow, High twenties if anything. The blow dart more dealing with poisonous damages. Giving access to only the handheld crossbow to the Fighter as a blowgun might be a bit finicky for someone not adept at hunting or rogue-like activities to be more adept with.

I didn't put too much thought into this but it sounds like it could be cool, as like an alternative game mode. Add a Dungeon Master (mode) where players can queue as the DM (think Darwin Project, Zombie Master (hl2), death run,, etc.) where the DM can influence rooms/aspects of the matches.

Couple limitations/features:
-Can only modify/interact with a room once (possibly long cooldown)
-Has both negative and positive abilities
-DMs would have to queue separate in a solo queue
-Twitch integration for both DMs and players (where viewers can vote for positive/negative alike)

There's much more to this but it's 2am and drained of energy. The thought wouldn't be to take this over as a primary mode, but with 16 max players, you could always have consistent lobbies too.

Please normalize the damages a bit from min to max gear. The gap is just far too wide right now. I can go from a green bow that takes 8 arrow hits to kill a fresh spawned character to a purple bow that does one shot kills to that same player. Having tiered itemization is a very good thing but I do not want this game to become like The Cycle:Frontier where the people who have legendary gear are basically unkillable gods because the gear gap is so large. The game seems to feel much more fun when the fights rely on skill and stradegy and way less on who has the shiny loot. Keep high tier gear strong but bring the lower tier gear upwards more to reduce the gap.

Instead of nerfing skeleton archers, implement some sort of audio cue to let the player know when they are about to fire (maybe .5s - 1s before release). Something like a specific, distinguishable bone-crackling sound.
This would allow players to learn the timings better and allow room for skill instead of (what feels like) gambling.
New players will still get rocked by the archers until they learn, experienced players will be able to skillfully out-maneuver the shots with well timed movement.

Fighting other players has inherently more risk involved than PVE'ing. Generally more skillful and intricate strategy and gameplay is required to come out on top of a PVP interaction.

XP isnt really in a state that it needs to be scarce or carefully throttled/limited. It will still be incredibly more reasonable and time efficient to level through PVE Grinding.

I also understand the development team is small and hard at work on many things already. However this change should be realistically simple to implement, perhaps as simple as just changing a value from 1 to anywhere from 3-5.

The base speed of all classes need to be brought closer together. The faster moving classes have a distinct advantage over every other class solely because they move faster at base. When you are a class using a two handed weapon like barbarian or fighter, although you can certainly hit very hard, the fast moving classes can simply walk backwards and never get hit by you because of the speed penalty those weapons give you. While two handers feel nice to hit stuff with, it is also incredibly annoying to fight other players while using them because of this. Hence my suggestion to bring the base speed of all classes closer together, and possibly slightly increase the movement speed across the game even as a means to make rangers slightly less effective without changing numbers.

I've played with my entire community of friends on discord tonight. Here is the verdict that we all reached. All 6 of us believe that combat is too slow. My defense to this was for pvp and timing. If attacks are too fast you won't be able to time blocks and pvp would be heckteck. If some middle ground can be found here I believe you'll find a larger player base. Also adopt the swing and stab system from "we who are about to die" click and drag has your character swing in that direction. Double click is overhead attach, single click is stab. The longer you hold a click and drag the longer your character stays holding the attack and increases the damage. This let's other characters know to block in that direction in pvp but failure to do so is more punishing. To circle back to combat being slow, I believe that the cleric is too absurdly slow and underpowered. I am by no means very good at this game. I've got around 10 or so hours between a fighter and cleric and I find the cleric to be much harder to use unless you have a competent squad to back you up. Solo or even duo a cleric is too slow and lacks the defense to hold their own. I'm sure there are those better than me that say otherwise but this was the same conclusion that me and my friends arrived at. Finally my last suggestion and I apologize if this was too long. Some undead are just too tanky for no reason. It's brain numbing to smack a skeleton 7 times and then the next one 7 and so on. I'm sure this was done for a reason but we all want the game to be fun and smacking every enemy type for absurd amounts of time felt not so fun to most of us, it also makes it harder on the solo player

Suggestion Parry/Guard Meters. It all centers around making parries/blocks much more generous in terms of hitboxes as well as almost available weapon to be able to hold up a guard in some fashion. Every melee weapon/shield will have a set amount of "Guard points". The points can change depending on the weapon (bigger/shields = better). The Player who successfully parried will have their guard meter reduced by the impact power of the parried weapon or projectile (bigger weapon, faster guard break). Guard Point/Meter Recovery is put on cooldown until out of combat for 5 seconds (think of this like a debuff that prevents regenning guard points/meter). Obviously, when you guard meter is depleted, you cannot hold a parry up anymore. This system can make combat in melee range a whole lot less frustrating for all classes involved. Everyone has a solid melee defense option instead of just hoping you can straight out run/maneuver). It adds a little more depth while limiting potential mechanical skillgap. It opens the door for more mods (+guard points, +weapon impact) and gear/build variety (crazy rolls on a staff? meet the battle wizard).

Have a temporary addition of hit markers that are confirmed hits by the server. This is mostly as a temporary alpha/beta tool to help testers figure out if their hits are actually being registered by the server or not and to also help people figure out if and how the hit registration is broken. Alternatively, there could also be a log of all the hits and locations after death. This could be a fine alternative but it requires the player to remember how many times they hit someone before they die.

Add a service on the smith traders (armor or weapon) like the one for rubyore ingots, but add one for gold bars. Just like there is small fee of 5 gold for holding 50 gold in pouches. The gold loss can be more but stores a lot more gold in order to compress space usage in inventory, numbers will need to be adjusted. (for example, some service fee + conversion loss, like 500 gold bar will cost 600+ gold? since ingots are 2x2, converting 10 slots of pouches worth 50 extra gold)
For long term economy, people will want to have lots of gold stored in limited stash space, hence it can also be a money sink like trade fee to add to the economy system in order to save space. (just a different suggestion from people suggesting bigger pouches or increasing stack sizes for gold)

I think adding a mode where players can get into pvp significantly faster would be a good idea. Only allow starting equipment or make it like CSGO where you have to buy equipment. as it stands in the game I feel that some limited Stat increases through leveling up would greatly help this game. Something were every 4 or 5 levels you get to put a +2 in one Stat and a +1 in another with a cap off at 40 that can only be improved through gear from that point forward. So the current trading system is cool and all, and I think it has potential, but me personally I prefer a more 'Auction house' style trading system; Now thats not to say that it can sort of be similar to the current way we trade but with how the current system is there are a few problems to note.

►Overcrowding inside of often singular channels, people trying to find the most populated channel leading to a very fast scrolling chat that is hard for many players to keep up with and ultimately use.

►When trying to trade off items, often more than not, the amount of time that it takes to find a seller for items that not everyone is looking for, resulting in trying to advertise items for an unreasonable amount of time, and when paired with overcrowding it can be nigh impossible.

There are a few other problems but I'm trying to keep this at least a little brief. In order to fix some of these issues, maybe you can add a 'Bazaar' system. Where players can have a listing for their items they have put up with their own prices that they want for each item. Now I know you may think that it would be hard to find items having to go through each person's Bazaar, but if you just take the current categories that exist for items and turn that into a search function, then people would be able to easily find what they are looking for by seeing who has those items for sale inside of their Bazaars. For those who don't want a Trading channel to go away, then you could add 1-2 Trading channels for people to talk in from the Menus, as I think it is something nice to have and I don't think I would want that taken away.

Not sure how balanced this could be made to be, but a parry mechanic would be neat. Mainly thinking about two handed swords as well as possibly for dual wielding daggers as a rogue, maybe implemented as a skill. Currently, there's no real upside to dual wielding as a rogue, and for the fighter classes, there's no secondary action for two handed weapons. For weapons like a two handed axe, which wouldn't really be used for parrying, maybe have a charge up attack as a secondary action, which could be locked behind a skill for balance sake or just implemented as is. in my opinion highroller makes the game less fun (keep reading ;]) because it makes normal mode only worth for getting money (no leaderboard contribution/you feel like ur playing baby for fun mode) and devalues trying to pvp. This coupled with the increase of map size and number of mobs slows down your gameplay and reduces pvp encounters. note I think this change is good because you can’t get rank one farming nakeds with an artifact weapon
In highroller being in a group makes this less of a factor where you can range/heal through mobs and traverse the map faster but you have to go through red portals because of the absence of triple blue portals. This doesn’t feel like a good obstacle because you have to extract for kills to count and it’s not about taking the risk to find the blue portal, it’s that there’s only red portals and all of your kills won’t count if you die in red zone. Having red portal zones pulling players from different matches allows for red zone pvp with out hindering the intended gameplay of certain players. I think highroller accomplished the goal of having more geared players separate from noobs but just some minor adjustments would make it more FUN. On another note it’s important the map we spawn into isn’t being balanced around it being the initial starter map instead of what it is the first down portal zone (more mobs, bigger, etc.)

So here are my two points of suggestions:

  1. Have kills count to leaderboard even if you die after red portal (maybe even before using red or blue portal)
  2. Having pvp incentive in normal mode isn’t bad (not leaderboard contribution but simply having triple blue portal/portals spawn in final circle works as a small incentive)

When the first floor is added, 2nd floor (the one we start on right now) could spawn a challenging boss when timer runs out in the middle of the dungeon and move the safe zone there. Killing it would drop high grade loot and spawn either a down or an escape triple portal (not sure which one should it be, just escape portals could drain players from the final level, just down portals means going to the hardest level weakened by the fight with rare loot), but be highly challenging.

The Fighter skills seem either very OP or near useless, severely limiting variety and options. I think Adrenaline Rush could be taken off the charges system and given a CD since it already has a drawback. Breakthrough would be a decent skill if slows were more prevalent, but given that it would constitute 50% of your available active abilities I think it would still be too niche. I'd suggest expanding the negative effects it clears and moving the Adrenaline Rush cleanse from Second Wind to Breakthrough. Taunt seems useless at best. In groups I have not found pulling aggro to be an issue and there aren't any tools besides kiting to deal with aggro from multiple enemies so I'm not sure that Taunting would ever really be a good idea. Victory Strike is extremely underwhelming and obtuse. You have to use it to kill an enemy, which can be very unclear given different damage values per weapon, per hit location, and per part of the weapon hit with, all combined with the lack of visible health bars. And on top of that it only heals for 5% (base value is literally 5 health which is far less than how much damage you'd take from a single enemy hit) and has a CD (20 seconds IIRC?). It's way too little reward for the effort and very unimpressive as an offensive option. Given that Fighter already has a sustain option and very limited offensive abilities other than basic weapon attacks, I would prefer to see Victory Strike scrapped in favor of an offensive ability with a CD (a large single hit damage buff, armor shred, a bleed, literally anything).

I think hunt: showdown's queue system might work well in this game. Default group size is duos and any non-trio has to op in to be matched against trios. So there is no solo mode but solos go against duos unless they check a box to go against three mans. And duos go against duos unless they check the same box. Silver is absolutely useless as a currency and servers no purpose other than to turn it to gold. + Gold should have its own place in the stash where you can infinitely pile it on with no limitations. I made this suggestion once but I wanna improve on it, the shop says "Items do not provide a competitive advantage, so the skeleton skins just give you a worse advantage for grinding out the shop and getting the skins only to have your armor rating slashed by 20 which is horrible, If it doesn't provide a competitive advantage, why is there a stat increase to magic protection, it makes no sense and it should be removed so we can all enjoy being happy skeletors.

The barbarians base should be increased . The classes are based on old-school RPGs like DND . The barbarians have always been known for fast movement while wearing little armor. Currently the barbarian is the slowest baseline class and is further punished in speed for using the two handed weapons it is encouraged to use .

The fact that other classes can attack you at the start of your swing animation and leave the hitbox area before you can hit them is pretty laughable.

Swing animation does not need to be sped up as that would increase dps only movement speed so you can remain on target

fix the Cleric's 2 handed Warhammer, as of last night when I tried 2 runs with it it only has 2 attacks(slowly swing left, and slowly swing right) with no swing down attack, making it hard to attack the winged skulls, spiders and shielded enemies. On top of this, there is no right click attack or block, which just makes it feel unplayable in the sense of why would I take it over the basic kit mace and shield where I trade damage for a decent weapon and the ability to block?

Also make blocking with shields more viable, they seem to not work against PVE very well, and not at all against players. Shields are only working against projectiles SOMETIMES. Also, there should be an option to swing faster (Significantly) after blocking an attack. And finally, and most importantly. There should be a mechanic in the game that makes it so the moment your blade makes contact with the target, they can block/parry immediately afterwards without there being a delay. And if the player misses their strike/attack, they get punished by a second or 2 delay in blocking. I feel like shields are super underwhelming in this game and need a buff.

Issue: Rangers having unlimited arrows changes the entire dynamic of the game. Other classes that have range abilities have limited spell slots, a long cooldown, or limited ammunition. It's like playing Escape from Tarkov with only melee weapons and someone is sniping you with a sniper rifle with unlimited bullets while running away, kinda toxic to deal with. This compounds even further when you have a 3 man stack all playing rangers shooting you infinitely in rotation without pause.

Add a quiver item and slot while also making it function similarly to a gold pouch. These quivers can be filled up with different types of arrows that varies in prices and effects such as poison arrow, fire arrow, water arrow (To shoot at torches and instantly put them out) and more. Make a skill that allows them to rotate through their quiver like the spell wheel and choose from those arrow effects. Whatever you put into the quiver is what shows up on your spell/arrow wheel. This would also make them completely unique from fighters who can also use bows.

Where would you get them?
Buy them from the woodsman, regen from campfires, loot them off archers, crates, pots, chests, and other players.

What issues could arise from this solution?

Running out of arrows with default character and no stash. Example: You're a fresh spawn with no gear brought in from stash and you fired off all your limited arrows. You now have to punch everything to death.

This is really bad so I suggest giving rangers a starting melee weapon such as a grey arming sword or rapier.

I really think that this game is amazing but personally I think that this game would become way better if it went for more of a PvE game. Or go for more of a PvP game like by making the PvE elements of the game not as annoying and stuff. Or better yet they could make two modes. One is PvE, and the other is PvP. Because I feel like when you are trying to PvP, the PvE elements get into the way too much, or if you are trying to loot and fight off tons of mobs to then get rolled up on by a full team. This game is great tho but I feel like the mix they have with the PvE and PvP just doesn't work

Due to the mechanics of the game as it currently exists this causes any armor with higher movement to invaluable for multiple classes. Barb or Fighter skill, Buffs enemy damage (or debuffs caster damage received) but slows nearby enemies. Slow amount is based on distance from caster, based on a bell curve with the peak being maybe 4 meters. Therefore, the caster has the chance to catch-up, while enemies at the outer-edge of the AOE may feel a slight slow but can still escape. A status effect on afflicted enemies would indicate their increased damage buff (visual overlay?). The skill results in an exhausted status, maybe like adrenaline rush, putting the caster at a disadvantage and adding opportunity for counter attack.
I feel this method would incentivize focusing the caster, while also aiding with the current "ring-around-the-rosey" of faster classes kiting slower classes 100% of the time, as barb especially does not feel like it is hitting its potential as a high-risk high-reward class with its low armor/speed but heavy hitting swings

As it stands in the game I feel that some limited Stat increases through leveling up would greatly help this game. Something were every 4 or 5 levels you get to put a +2 in one Stat and a +1 in another with a cap off at 40 that can only be improved through gear from that point forward. Perks are a very fun system, and I enjoy tailoring my playstyle to my current equipment with them, however they are very lopsided in their implementation. There are some perks that are vital to how a class can be played or are very powerful modifiers (Ranger's +15% Headshot Damage, Rogue's Creep), and other perks that are smaller, stackable effects and flavorful niche benefits (Cleric's +25% Revival HP, Rogue's Trap Sense, Wizard's +Knowledge).

Unfortunately, both of these kinds of perks require the same investment of Perk Slots, meaning that low-level players with limited slots and higher-end, more optimized players will be limited to the same selection of a few important perks. In addition, some characters like Fighter are dependent on multiple passive bonuses to try to match what other characters can do naturally, but have the same number of perk slots that other classes do.

To help this, Perks should be differentiated between Greater and Lesser Perks. Greater Perks should contain the more powerful, defining benefits similar to what we have now while the new and more numerous Lesser Perks should involve all of the passive stat or gear-dependent bonuses, small flavorful abilities, PvE bonuses, and map-learning abilities. For added versatility and build expression you could even make purely numeric Perks like "+X% to (class's favored weapon)" fit into both Lesser and Greater slots, with more benefit in the Greater slot.

What IF there is another service for each vedor, where you can select something to be "custom tailored" or something along those lines. You can choose the item (it has to be something the vendor sells), its rarity (up to blue maybe? Maybe green?), AND it's rolls (specifically wanting +move speed or something), BUT it costs 1.5x or 2x as much, AND you have to wait for it to complete (takes time based on rarity? Like 4 hours for a blue, 2 for a green?)

Add defence to your character while the shield is up, as this will make shields have more of a use than just holding them up and hoping for the best. You can still be hit but you take less damage even if it's a headshot, this also adds realism as you can really only hit the sides of players who have shields up and this won't do as much damage as a body shot. It also makes it more fair for solo players as if you are in a 1v2 situation, you can just get wacked from behind and die no matter what, and I get it makes it more realistic, but in this case I think the realism should be sacrificed for better playability.

After all the PvPvE main game is done, consider making a complete separate PvE only mode for casual fun that is in no way involved with the PvPvE mode we already have. Meaning all buffs, nerfs, levels, characters, and loot are completely in the PvE mode and never ever touch anything in the PvPvE mode, so no characters or loot carryover, their stuff stays in their respective modes. Also if possible that it is procedural for infinite fun. Reason being is there are plenty of casuals that would try the PvE mode first and might give the PvPvE mode a go. You guys have the assets to make one of the best DnD esque games that can cater to all audiences. TLDR: After main mode is finish make a separate DnD PvE campaign mode that completely different from PvPvE mode, nothing carries over to either modes, so more people can enjoy this amazing game in two kinds of ways.

I feel like there needs to be a bit more uniformity to how melee weapons attack when it comes to hitboxes and swing patterns. Not in the sense that they should swing the same but the following depending on what it is.
One handed slashing swords: First attack with the swing pattern should always be single creature type of attack vertical to diagonal swing or a thrust
Two handed slashing weapons: main attack string (left click) is single target with vertical and diagonal swings while secondary attack string (right click) is a sweeping attack to hit multiple enemies.
Currently its a bit too difficult to control as the user whether you're risking hitting more than the person you're aiming for or not and I feel putting more control in the players hand on how they swing would only benefit the game. It would raise the skill ceiling and lower the base skill required for melee combat.

Instead of a reload system for bows, change it to a recharge. I'm not sure what would feel best for each bow type, but having a recharge would do 2 things. One, it discourages spam firing arrows down range to get in easy damage which is incredibly annoying to put up with for what I've gathered would be most players. Two, it encourages the use of melee weapons as a ranger since you can't just rely on spamming arrows at everything you see. As it stands right now, I've seen a small number of people on here as well as me and a few friends that have said we either wont be buying the game, or we're stopping playing for now (something along these lines) until rangers are nerfed in some way. I can only assume this is because of the way bows work right now and nothing else about them, so I believe its a large enough problem to address it sooner rather than later. The speed of mining be increased or changed to a flat value, the fact that certain classes can mine WAY better than others is a bit annoying. Even more so when there isn't that much time to find, than mine the minerals to begin with. That being said the time given on each map seems a bit fast, I would understand the speed of something like the High-Roller dungeon being fast paced, but the normal dungeons should be given more time. It doesn't make sense to give players almost no time to clear/explore/loot. Even as a 3 man that's geared well the dungeon time just forces you to only experience 1 aspect of the dungeon IF your lucky.

I think the current gameplay loop of dungeon crawling battle royale is very interesting and cool, but tbh I think a few things that could improve it would be making it so gear doesn't carry over between matches, and instead have a seperate more traditional dungeon crawling mode where gear CAN carry over between levels, but with the caveat that there's no pvp. The traditional dungeon crawling mode could still have player groups, and maybe scale difficulty to how many players are in a group, or make it so they have to find each other within the dungeon. General Store, you can sell anything to this store. It's stock however is only of items that OTHER players have sold at random, it picks random items other players have sold to the general store restocking only once per hour. Items that are shown in stock if bought or the hour elapses will be completely deleted from the game like items normally are when sold. This makes it so items only get 1 chance to be rehomed to another player (allowing items to still sink out of the game) and said items only show up for 1 player due to this system as well so it doesn't produce duplicates of items.

I'd recommend replacing wall traps with traps that require actual skill to get past and expanding the trap system. Add other traps like dart traps (think Indiana Jones) a boulder trap, false floor tiles, spiked pits, etc. Not necessarily everything needs visual cues, but using audio cues and player's experience could lead to some fun and tense moments. an idea I got is basically ability score improvements along with races. every 4 or 5 levels let the player put a +2 in one stat and a +1 in another with a cap off at 40 that can only be increased by gear modifiers. That way it the game has a reason behind leveling up besides just perks and there's a permeant gain you get from leveling when you lose gear permanently in this game. second is I believe races should change starting stats by increasing certain ones will also having a passive hooked to them and not be just buyable skins with adventure currency.

There’s a room which has a wraith and a bunch of skeletons which usually ends up having the last 3-5 portals spawn there.

This is basically a death sentence to try and open them as you can’t clear all of the skeletons and wraiths in time.

Other suggestion: Buff crossbows somehow. They just aren't worth using right now with how all active ranger skills can't be used on them, the amount of shots you can get in with a longbow before reloading the crossbow, etc. They're only worth using as the first shot of an engagement atm, not a very good weapon.

Barbarian needs a player slow from skills or perks to "catch" players in pvp. Barbarian is to slow to catch 4/6 of the classes so he relies solely on team play and ambushing to do any damage. This makes Barbarian solo in a 1v2 / 1v3 situation the most impossible fight in the game.

Abandon the battle royale zone, or base game mechanics more logically around it.

Just a couple of ideas:
-Mobs drop more valuable loot each time the circle fully closes in. Maybe 10% more valuable each time, nothing crazy so there's still incentive to use down portals.
-One guaranteed escape portal at the final circle, maybe with a special condition to activate. Could be slower to activate, sacrifice something, etc. so you're not at the mercy of RNG every single match.

However, with a BR-style zone, it takes away the ability to create unique and varied quests once they're added down the line. For example, you can't have "go to X location and retrieve Y item" quests because you could have an unlucky spawn that doesn't allow you to make it there in time before the zone closes in. The less RNG, the better and more fair the game becomes in my opinion.

ranger nerf idea:

As of now the rangers have little to no penalty for running out of ammunition

I've had an idea of limiting their ammunition to around 20-30 shots after which they'll have to use a similar ability to regain around 10-15 of them like a wizard would with a meditation skill (of course they would still be able to move during the reload period, and it would be shorter, to compensate for the amount of precision required to play the class)

Maybe create smth like in CoD: DMZ, with ring in the end of the session and several extraction points. IMHO the best idea is just to delete circle mechanic completely.
This game will be great as Tarkov or Hunt variant in DnD environment, when you're looting dungeons, fighting mobs and players and have A BIG FRICKING SWORD instead of a gun. And this circle only make you rush, abandon loot, abandon fights with players , leaves you unsatisfied.

I think the invisibility spell that the Wizard has should be the default Hide ability for Rogue and the Wizard should get some kind of confusion spell instead (could even be an AOE spell) which confuses targets for a few seconds making them walk randomly (if they're unlucky they might run into traps or monsters) to keep his mobility.
