Anybody have tips for fighting Skeleton Champion that doesn't revolve around cheesing it? I want to get good at fighting every enemy the proper way. Cheesing enemies doesn't interest me. But when I look up videos on how to fight this guy, every single video is just cheese strats. He does his triple combo which has pretty long range and the last attack is a thrust attack that seems to pierce through my shield and do damage to me even though (I think) I am blocking it in the right place. Does this sound right? Can some physical attacks go through shields? Or am I just missing the block?

When does it crash? My game often crashes on launch (sometime before I can load my character into the lobby). It doesn't seem to crash at all when I disable my MSI Afterburner (RivaTuner) overlay though. So maybe you have some overlays enabled that are causing issues?

Make sure you have enough room to move back. Bait his 3 attacks, hit once in the head, repeat.

Sometimes you'll bait only 1 or 2 attacks. If you hit him and your reaction isn't fast enough, you might get hit back.

Also, if wearing heavy armor, make sure you're running by turning your body sideways and walking either left or right. This way, your movement speed is higher than moving backwards.

Oh okay yeah I get this so often and it really pisses me off. If you're playing with friends, you'll notice that your character actually continues to move in-game on the server. So even though you can't interact with anything and you can't see what the characters / npc's are doing, your character is actually still moving the way you are moving it. So when you notice this happens, try to put your character into a safe spot where you're less likely to aggro an enemy or be seen by another player. My theory is that the game's netcode isn't able to handle minor hiccups in the player's connection. So maybe our internet drops a few packets where a normal online game would just rubberband you in a minor way. But this game can't reconcile the dropped packets and so your client isn't able to reconnect to the server properly. It's just a theory. I submitted a bug report about it and I would encourage you to do the same. The more exposure we can get on the issue, the more likely they are to try to fix it.

If you're mid-combat with something. You're fucked and you're dead either way. If not, you can potentially put yourself in a safe corner so that when you return, you're more likely to still be alive.

Although, if you're mid-combat, you might actually still be able to kill the thing you're fighting if you just stand there and keep swinging. I believe your character will be issuing those swings on the server so you may be able to kill the enemy before it kills you even though you won't see it happen on your machine.

But yeah I have it happen fairly regularly. I only started playing this game very recently so I don't know if this is a new problem or not.

They go for the Cleric because it's too slow to run from anything.
If you want healing in your Rogue Duo - switch to Druid. It can heal better, and can escape if need be, along with 2 CC spells and healing, it's great for teams.

You have initially 5 music slots, 3 for drum, 2 for Lyre, so you can start with that.
Later you can use all 10 music slots, just gets more complicated.
Hotbar/key your instruments, and just cycle them, not too hard.
It is a lot of micromanagement, but it is extemely strong when fully buffed.
If you hear a Bard...just run, hehe

Also, your builds abilities can affect what is shown.
Best example is the fighter.

If you really mean the Troll and not the Cyclops then the best strat is to send the Warlock or Bard alone. This boss is meant to be done in Solo, when there is several person in the room he switch aggro randomly, shout at everyone so it's really hard to avoid him charging or even hit him at all. When there's only one personne in the room you can learn all his pattern and kill him way easier

The cyclops seems easier but is more random in reality. You can fight it at 3 and you need to DPS him as fast as you can we the rock fall phase start. With a Warlock I suggest you let him put a Hellfire first and then melee it with the bard, if you can put the Shriek of weakness on the boss while you'r warlock cast Hellfire you should be able to end the Rock fall really fast

I could see it creating advantages if you end up seeing them in-game and are going to fight them and now already know what kind of build they have (stats, perks, abilities). For it to not create as much of an advantage, you'd need every player to do it for every other player so that everyone is on even-footing in this regard. But that isn't particularly fun to have to do and also isn't really practical. It's basically like the game saying "if you want to give yourself the best chance to succeed, you need to do this" which isn't bad in itself (and is honestly a good thing in a lot of cases), but if the "this" isn't fun or practical, it's not good design.
