I click on the launcher shortcut again. And task manger confirms it trys to open it. But once it gets to 10 mb of data process it shut itself down.

you just need to learn how to fight against them. stuff like always looking to the sides when trying to dodge because that makes it more likely that you get hit in the limbs, which is little damage. you need to know when to push, what situations to avoid (narrow corridors benefit rangers, for example), etc. as a ranger, i will die vs a fighter/barb that W keys me if i miss my shots or reload at the wrong time. a PDR fighter with sprint is a nightmare, especially if they tag me with an arrow/bolt before closing in

you don't have to, it's simply beneficial/good strategy. plenty of times they simply close the distance with some smart positioning and mow me down with melee. you have to use all the tools at your disposal. if you're limiting yourself to just melee, then you can't really complain about not being able to deal with enemies at a distance.

thats the theory of it, not the practice. dungeon is too dynamic to always allow you to do all that which you mention. triple shot needs to hit, it's not as easy as you make it sound. spear loses effectiveness when you fight close melee as the sweet spot becomes awkward to land and can be blocked easily with a shield. traps can be jumped over and not every trap you set will be effective. fighters and barbs have very little reason to back off once they engage you in melee range. they superior dmg reduction and health pool will almost always out-trade a ranger, even those with a spear.

I know I know, just don't play goblin caves, problem is, they put in an awfully designed quest of 25 survivals. Can't get past 12, nothing but teaming or getting one tapped by random rogues with foreign names. This game is..... fun.....

Me and a large chunk of the player base don't have all day to spend playing a game. So when we get to play, it's nice for it to be mildly amusing. This quest system is awful. It's a terrible rip off of eft quests. All quests can be completed solo in eft. Poor design to force players to play how you want them to rather than how they want to.

Clearly needs another year or two before it's playable.

Why is there no tutorial or practice mode in this game to let new players get used to combat? The majority of this games community is players who've been playing since the start and know everything about it, it's not really fair to force new players to go in without knowing a damn thing. Esp when these veteran players are completely thirsty for blood, even in NORMALS. It's honestly anti-new player to push ppl into the game without telling them anything. if they reset to the middle of the arena yes, as in you were not in the room when the boss died so it reset. If you are in the room they wont heal, I do however believe most bosses have a special attack when a player dies

boss health always resets if they are not aggroed, so if you watch someone die killing the cave troll and the cave troll doesnt aggro anyone else then yes he resets.

some bosses also have moves that allow them to heal when they kill someone. I think lich and Ghost king have a move that heals/gives them a shield after they murder a player

Wraith is easy. Melee hit -> always back up and see what he does. If he raises one arm, just let him miss like a skeleton. If he raises both arms, strafe jump to either side.

Champion is a little awkward because afaik he has no visual indicator for whether he will do his 2hit or 3hit combo

His attacks also cheat visual animations by a little bit. I mean this may not be a satisfying answer depending on how you define "cheesing", but the sure ticket is to fight him on stairs and let him be above you slashing above your head

Otherwise, even if there were a method to melee dance him, his patterns are so good that it would take forever anyway.

Is it intended that the homing orb of the lich does AoE dmg? I dodged it by letting it hit one of the lights but it still did 95% of my HP as dmg apparently.

No it is not intended it’s does 100 magic dmg you’re lucky to be alive lol

As far as I'm told the homing orb always kills you. That's why I'm confused why the orb apparently has an AoE effect or if it's some sort of bug

Must've been a bug or you were too close the brazier and it still registered as a hit. I usually use mobs or train it around till they're back
