Hello! 2 questions regarding the fighter,
Can you block spells with ur shield?
Does ur second wind + adrenaline rush recharge at a campfire?
Yes all spells besides fireball and the overhead lightning, and yes it used too I can not say for sure it will in the next
I find adrenaline rush rather useless cuz its a one time use?
You can use things to store wealth other than gold. For example holding on to 200 Candy Canes is effectively 6000 gold but takes up way less space in the inventory.
I haven’t tried myself but sitting at 2 campfires won’t bring that skill back? Because I know that’s what I have to do for the healing skill for fighter
Had some problems playing fighter because of this too, sure it sounds like a good skill but the fact that I can only use it once completely overshadows anything else. Thing is, if they removed the one time use it'd be broken as hell and everyone would run fighter.

I forget what the skill was called but I used the "Last hit" one where you get one hit of +20% dmg and if you killed with it got 5% hp back it was reusable and would work on NPCs

Im pretty sure you can't block it but CAN negate damage if you crouch + block in the rough direction of the fireball, will have to test next time
I feel like if there is one, the character would be like fully PVE so all gear is used only in the PVE matches, I feel like farming up on AI then taking the gear against players wouldn't be fair compared to gearing and looting in PVP matches
In tarkov's offline mode you do not keep anything you loot in an offline game, but i think it would be fairly pointless for this game unless they change ai

I mean to get those stats you need to kill people, collect gold, kill bosses and then successfully extract. Only then are they placed on the leaderboard. I’d say that’s a fairly good indication of skill as those are metrics at being good at the game.

I’d agree if you don’t think leaderboard metrics are an indicator of some type of skill. There’s clearly a difference between those dying to normal pve mobs and those getting kills and leaving.

I was actually talking about this yesterday. I think instead of just a normal and a high roller version there should be tiers of difficulty. With the added difficulty would come better loot but you'd also have to pay higher prices comparative to the level but I think it would keep players of similar level/gear in the same brackets

Rangers can seriously cheese the ai though. I cleared so many rooms just sitting on a perch with a bow
Wizard is very good at bursting everyone to death if they don't get jumped. That might be all the spells they got for the round but they can make a 1v3 happen
i think ranger is arguably safest class
you can carry two bows for 12 arrows before reloading
yeah i do say with games like this going to to fights can be a big flip of the coin a team of three for okay gear can be hard to take done but a solo with great gear can take down a whole team of three with easy

their way of doing it is by making B1-2-3 and the high leveled players go to the lowers zones so if you got worse gear you are less likely to meet them atleast

I know they said leaderboards are mostly for playtesting only but I think it would be a shame if it wasn't in the full game. Could maybe make it a bit bigger so you can get on the leaderboard by doing more things but I think it being high roller only is a good idea so you don't have people just pub stomping lambs in normal.

Questions is the SHeild hitbox for blocking overhead swings working as intended i feel half the time Barbs hit thru it when looking up as fighter and Wraith will hit thru me shield is that intended

B2 is not that hard ,most people can beat it in 2-3 days and go to B3

@burnt badger strength gives 2 hp and 1% physical damage. you could test these things during the playtest by just equiping the gear and checking the stats.

@burnt badger its shown on the increased physical damage % stat. if you equip the weapon it will only show you the base damage of what you do. not what your weapon does with all the % increases/ decreases. the best way to test your actual damage is to hit the dummy. generally speaking strength just wasnt a worth while stat in the test. 1 strength gave 2 hp and with a weapon that did 100 damage would give you 1 extra damage. though you could get things like increased weapon damage which could give you +6 damage. which would give you the damage equivalent in that situation of 6 strength. however classes like rogues and wizards could abuse this with their low damage daggers that attacked super fast in order to dishout over 100 damage per attack.

Although, you have a point I must say that it's funny that you think of this as an abuse and not feature. If you think a little about it fighter and barbarian aren't as squishy as rouges and wizards, so I think it's fair to say that they should benefit more from those stats. Those two classes should be feared but also those classes should fear any other class that is close to them.
In my opinion they really need to adjust the additional statistics so the classes wouldn't scale so quickly and so well. I believe it would need to take a full orange set to be able to one shot or few shot people, not just few blues and greens with good statistics. Maybe making the additional damages, and good stats very very rare? I don't care what route they'll take as long as all classes are not becoming damage monsters from having just few better items.

@severe folio blue dagger about 23 damage 10 pieces of gear to use as rolled stats on lets say a wizard (ring 1, ring 2, amulet, orb, dagger, helm, chest, boots, gloves, pants). each of those can roll any stat for the blues. meaning you can lets say have an average of 4 damage (ranges from 1-6) per roll (what i would as a baseline consider for gear to be good). that means +4 weapon damage, +4 true physical damage, +4 physical damage, +4 magic damage (with ignite buff on), or +4 ture magic damage (with ignite buff on) could be used. out of those if you roll 2 of them on each piece you would have +80 damage flat. Then take the base of 23 with the added 5 damage from ignite. meaning in all blue gear you would hit for about 108 damage to the body.
Also gear like that wasnt even going for that much in the beta. for rolls of +4 flat with a second +4 flat would sell for about 300g-600g per piece if they were on bad bases (not the BIS base armors).
Did I not say they need to adjust those stats so they are not that easy to find/ stack.. or they should be completely removed from the game? For now, with full gear +2 add magic dmd and +1-2 true magical damage, in my opinion wizard is dealing too much damage. There's no class that can fight that, if they do they end up in the lobby. Now add to this three items with magical bonus damage +5%.

If you read my post thoroughly you would read that you should be able to do a lot of damage with full orange gear, but not with greens/blues with good stats.
The game currently favors scaling damage and that is wrong.
Look at any game with that system and the amount of complaints about it and then look at ff14 where you can craft everything at once and how positive that is and you get your answer

ALthough, I love all attribute stats on items I had, I believe they need to remove all stats from the game or they should be foundable on rarest quality items.
There should be restrictions on what rolls the item can have.
I have not tested anything besides additional mag and true damage, but I have seen wizards stacking will and knowledge. With those two statistics alone they're monsters.
The funny thing, you are able to stack +all atts, and will/knowledge. I think that's wrong as well knowing how scaling works in this game.
well that being said regardless any class in the game can oneshot with good gear. its just a matter of if you think that classes should be able to. I for instance dont think any class no matter the situation should be able to one shot another with full hp. I think the sweet spot would be for slower attacking melee classes liek barb 2-3 swings, while faster attacking classes should be about 4-5 swings.
Also as it currently stands it makes no thematical sense that a fully geared (even if all legendary or unique) rogue or wizard with a dagger should be able to oneshot a full geared (all legendary or unqiue) fighter or cleric in plate armor. as the game is currently balanced when you are factoring in oneshots you cant do much as movement speed and range will always reign supreme in those situations. I actually found for the most part the normal matches with base gear at the start of the play test were significantly more fun then high roller lobbies where everyone else would just oneshot each other.
but slower attacking classes already two tap :). I have always understimated barbarian until I have met a match for my gear. The moment he swung his axe and landed a hit, I had 30% hp left on my fighter.
And believe, barbarian is not the slowest class either. He was able to chase me down easily.

yep i also think that even if all of the flat damages get hit hard there are still some spells wizard has like magic missle that even with the slightest bit of flat damage can do insane damage. I tried going for a full MR barbarian and even then a mage with just 3 pieces of ture magic damage flat gear would kill me in half a cast. since the 12 shots of 10 damage doesnt really matter if its reduced by over 50%, when the true damage goes through all of it and 3 rolls of +4 true magic damage means it does 12 true damage per hit and with 12 hits its 144 unmitagatable damage.

There's certainly an issue with a defensive stats.. they're not powerful enough for how the offensive stats are.
I don't see the reason why I'd want to use protective stats over offensive stats.
For example, max health stat is a joke.. while you can get easily +2 str and.. yeah.. it'll give you more than this +4 max health stat. but str for some classes will also give you damage.

yep agree with you there on top of that you can go as much defensive stats as you want but if you want to kill bosses super fast you would always want the more offiensive route. like in normal ghost king runs we would kill the boss in gg gear in a few seconds. where if we went full defensive gear it would take a few mins.

I think there must be a restriction of how many offensive rolls (I think one per item is enough) can be on a item.. like I said I hate it see gone but I don't think stacking offensiveness is good.

Honestly I think the game is literally perfect as is, wish it released early access man.
It's great as is. They can make a lot of improvements. From what I read a lot of the models are default to the engine so expect graphical improvements

@grim grail There are actually a lot of reasons, first of "Iron Mace" is a rather small you could call it "indi-company" therefore dispatching valuable workforce to monitor server status, cheaters and providing customer Support is not good for fast developing. Devs need to constantly work on game files, if the servers are running you can interact with files but it is bothersome. They should just work hard on the Game to make it good, to give us an even better playtest next time instead of trowing a unfinished product at us. Last playtest was a lot better then before and i really appreciate their effort. And costs do also play a role, i mean the game is currently free to play without a cash-shop or real life money trading (f.e. skins/dlc's/etc.) And the Servers last playtest where really stable considering they had 1 million testers.

But they wrote on they official website that they "[] are a merry band of veteran game developers disillusioned by the exploitative and greedy practices we once helped create". So far the only thing we have seen as far as a pay shop goes is literally pay to lose items. Blue torches which are a dead giveaway and skeleton skin for your character which lowers your physical defense

Their play test cycle gonna help them get a decent anti-cheat solution running I think. Issue with like the Cycle is that they have to try and rush to make an anti-cheat solution while also still working on content. It's a race to beat the clock on both engagement and player patience.

that makes sense, they want to make sure not to release anything that could be taken out of context by players, they want to interpret everything for themselves and make design decisions in-house
I joined a lfg and some dude was cheating it was pretty dumb, he told us and i just left
any ways to still play the game before the second playtest is out
I have like 150 hours in this game and have never encountered a cheater
same... never got a cheater once
ive only ran into one, they were doing the instant attacks/doors etc
I only ran into two cheaters, one who didn't do anything but open doors/chests and turn off lights while being Perma invis, and another was a rogue that had INSANE attack speed, like actually enough that it was confused. Full plate armor, dead almost instantly from the front, while not stealthed. Man's just ran at me

never got a chance to try it because its really hard to get magic damage sometimes and can't really tell from dummy how much either
because if magic damage does add to poison that could lead to some very silly interactions considering how easy it is to stack it quickly
Yes magic dmg helps poison but you need 15 will other wise you won’t get full effect it’s weird but yea pretty easy gear was doing 5 poison dmg for 1 stack so full stack 100g over 4 seconds

It depends on the tier of campfire. I believe green and above campfires give fighters second wind ability in one usage, but you would need 2 grey campfires to get second wind back.

I like a rapier for pve rondel or stilletos for pvp
Depends on your play style. Stilettos have a nice overhead stab that you use to get around shields and hit heads. Castilion daggers have a slash that in my opinion is a bit easier to hit. Rondel is just straight forward stab stab

What is the best build for fighter
Fighter skills that most people tend to bring are. Second wind and sprint. Usual perks are Combo attack, armor speed penalty reduction, project resistance, and AR increase or maybe weapon mastery (to use bows).
i believe its for any damage outside of spells and poison, so arrows, melee, etc. are all considered physical damage
What about projectile reduction?
i think it adds on top of that reduction
I would assume physical is for melee and projectile for throwables and arrows
Someone else will have to answer that one. I haven’t used the Kriss dagger enough to give a good answer.
When we can play this game again?
i could be wrong but im going off the fact that it seemed that physical damage added to bow damage when i played ranger since there is no +projectile damage mods in the game
People don't usually use those so i assume they are not that good

My Rogue friends didn't like the attack pattern on the Kris, but maybe we can get a Rogues opinion. I didn't really use the daggers
Kris was okay if you had a stiletto otherwise it was bad
Rondel has the range so does stilleto. All depends on what you need. Kris and castillo are great for slashing
Rapier is where its at. The distance makes such a big difference
Is there a plan to add a blocking mechanic with swords/axes or is it strictly a shield mechanic
Would be nice if barb could use a shield since fighter can use a bow
I just think sword / axe should have a block mechanic like mordhau does, or some counter attack feature so it's not just hitting people then backing up

is the fighter sheild vs Wraith still hiting thru ur shield when u Literally hear the sound of it bouncing back off Intended it also happens with other mobs but mainly wraith 1/3 of the time. ALso with Barb overhead swing i feel like the sheild vs it isn't working properly possibly?
If the weapon still hits you even through the block like the tip of the axe going over the shield and hitting your head

They can stay in stealth somewhere around 30-60ish seconds ( I don’t know the exact time but there is a limit on it this play test )
I think its 45 but its affected by buff duration

Anything projectile, correct, including fireballs, ice-arrows, magic missiles, any projectile.

nah the reason to duel weild is to have the stats of both daggers share on to the other. and you use one you like the best for attack pattern
youre slower with 2 daggers so unless you have a good statted second dagger just use 1 you like
I getcha, my last run I was just using stab from rondell for mobs and certain players.
i like rondle and also the castilo for the sweep motio but ive seen rogues have very hard stances on what dagger pattern they think is best
Yea, early to middle of my play of the game. I ran rapier with still, but got confident enough I felt best with just running rondle with Still.
Who do you feel is the hardest class to go against in the dudgeon 1 on 1 as a rogue?

i play rupture /weakpoint and nothing gave me more trouble than a decent wizard who knew how to haste and spam fireball

If I might add my perspective, as a fighter I may have had a lot of situations where a high level rogue player had the jump on me, maybe had an advantage in the scenario, but always I was able to do a lot of damage to them or win the 1v1.
In comparison to high level wizard they were the hardest for me by far.
I’m going to be trying Valheim. If you want a extract game, tarkov/the cycle, but Valheim seems very interesting in the survival aspect/leveling your character, PVE.
Appreciate the insight, it honestly helps my plans for the next play test. I am hoping to laugh my head off if deaths stats of rouges and fighters, were most by wizard class lol.
the cycle frontier is free but a completely different style

Personally I think there is a lot they can do to nerf the wizard but I think it's just inherently a very good class, team captains should probably main wizard.
Do stats stack from both your weapon slots? Or does it have to be the weapon you are holding to apply those stats? Just curious cause i did not seem like i got any stat boots from any of my weapons slotted.
You have to be holding said weapon to get the stat boosts from it

I run rupture if i had bad gear. But fully geared, i ran ambush with weakpoint. First stab on stiletto did 157 on dummies. And i was 1-2 shotting everyone. So it also depends on your playstyle. As a well used Hide or invis potion can let you easily win any fight. Found using invis pots to ambush first person then hiding on the body really did the job xD
I respect that hard. I have no issue with wizards for now. Especially since I soloplay atm. So maybe the 3v3 have a real reason to have wizard nerfed. But they feel alright for me in the last playtest.
If expedition agartha had a larger player base. Thats another medieval style extractor. But it has a averadge of 6-8 players a day due to no one knowing of the game.
If desperate enough, but gameplay and reviews just really show it a waste of money in the long run.
I feel that. Game would be enjoyable if larger player base. But its probly not worth the time for atleast a year or 2. It may become something by then.

Are their plans to have a magic/safe bag/pouch added to the game? Something that could be bough for 1000+ gold that would allow you to save some items on death(only a few slots, enough for lockpicks/keys)

My two cents, bad idea. The reason the game feels so suspenseful is because it is win all or lose all. You even moving in the direction of keep anything can end with keeping a super rare item. Which sucks if you risk going all on someone and they keep the very thing you wanted to have be your reward. Or another note justifying it is for something small 2x3 or lockpicks. Shows it is so small, there is no point in keeping it.
You could limit it to trinkets
At least you'd get some pocket money to buy consumables
That'd be useful for beginners imo
That way you can't try to put some purple/legendary stuff in it and act as if you didn't care about dying
If it's limited to trinkets i think that could work
So in that hypothetical, if they aren't good enough to get away with small amounts of gold. They by having that small amount of gold kept, will be able to grind at a snail pace to finally get one good item. Only to, very likely, lose it since it won't be a trinket they can keep and start all over. Again my two cents, from a complete stranger online, a bad idea and direction.
