See, I'm helping the ManePixls group defend this giant transgender flag and the art on it from a racist Nazi and his quadrillion alt accounts (most named after famous Nazis) from planting a massive racist apartheid flag on top of everything. We could use any help anybody is willing to spare. I understand that you won't be able to help with the artworks, but the trans flag itself is easy enough. It's mostly the dark blue, although the line at the top is tricky because there's also a bunch of artwork underneath it that uses dark blue as well.

the 2 numbers are the block coordinates when you pull out of the location X/Y
If its just 1 block you dont need to merge images like the other archiver is doing.
and since id start the script on the area and going to try and make sure i dont cross blocks its a simple matter of pull the image every 15 minutes using a cloudflare bypass

ive been smacking my head against my code becuase the gif has been skipping frames. it seems its the optimisation of duplicate frames becuase less then about 150 pixles changing the frame skips

so i solved it by adding a frame counter at the bottom corner

wow this python code passed 500 lines
it now has a cron mode that i run in crown to download the blocks defined in the settings file and a gentl commadn to generate the timelapses based on the config.
As well as a bunch of helper stuff to modify the config file adding removing and modifying settings

its not great code but its been ages since i sat back and coded something up

the top row is all in the same block as the rest of the stuff
while the left column is in the block next to it with 1 pixles being in the block diagonal up and left
most of the image ends up being in the 1 chunk except for the edges.

trying to add whatever is going to be ther einto my config made the code span the 4 blocks downloading and i ended up making a slighly modification to handle the situation. Thanks for the laugh on the placement

Just a warning to all artists: the Wplace mods are now banning mouth-to-mouth kiss art, even if it's SFW, because they are prudes who think that all mouth-to-mouth is "tongue kissing", which they now call a sexual act and therefore NSFW.

This means that multiple MLP arts are now in danger of being mod-nuked.

To top it off, ManePixls discovered the mods actually creating their own private art of two men kissing full on the lips, and when it was reported due to being utterly hypocritical, another mod nuked it, causing a civil war within the mod team.

So yeah...kissing is now illegal on Wplace, unless it's on the cheek.

Yeah, one mod nuked two other mods and their art, and those two mods got pissed because they had not been informed about the rule change (apparently?), so now they're crying foul and all the rest of the mods are scrambling to fix the mess.

All because the entire team is made up of pearl-clutching prudes.

And apparently the kissing part wasn't part of the rules originally. It was a new change, added specifically so that the mods could retroactively nuke kissing art they didn't like.

And they do not define what "tongue kissing" even is, because they've erased multiple SFW art pieces that had no tongues visible. The reasoning was that if it's "obvious" to the mod that there's tongue kissing involved, even if there's no tongue in the arts, then it's NSFW and is thus erasable.

Meaning that the mods can effectively just imagine that the art is NSFW, and their imagination becomes the reality.

Even more interesting, almost all the kissing art that has been erased is strictly gay/lesbian art, almost never straight art.

Look up Openplace, it's an open source fork of Wplace that a large chunk of the Manepxls alliance has migrated to out of frustration, including me. It is soooo much more fun and relaxing. There's not as many players around the world, only about 10600 or so, but it's by far the better site for art creation. There's also frequent events and alliance-based activities to participate in for droplets.

I use the Skirk template program and it mostly still works. There's a couple bugs but the actual template side of things still works. You just need to add the Openplace website to its list of permissions in Tapermonkey, iirc. ManePxls has the full fix to get it working in their Discord, I'll forward the message here once I find it again.

The backend will likely stay mostly the same (though they did go and patch a lot of the performance issues on Wplace with transparent pixels)

Code haad a bug where if an image spanned a chunk in both the X and Y direction it would get the top left, top, right, bottom left, but miss bottom right in the combined file. It still had the intervidual chunk downloaded so yay can fix

For now, I'm still defending against griefers, but I'm mostly not doing much in Wplace anymore. Instead I've moved on to Openplace (which is a separate fork of Wplace). It's much calmer, quieter, and nicer, and with much better moderation (imo), though there's a lot less people playing on it. ManePxls has established a sizable presence there, as Shival can no doubt also attest to.
