I found a good overworld item farm in the broadleaf basin. There's three ore spawns and about four or five item pile spawns.

I have now maxed out the number of monsters I can keep, time to farm items and last monster I need to make the last weapons in the demo.

The demo for stories 3 was fun and I saw stories 2 was on sale on Xbox for under 30 dollars so I picked it up.

I rushed the main story to get to endgame, where all of the monsters I want were. Like the two pones I have now.

Now I just have to level and get skills for them.

@grizzled dagger I tried the MH Stories 3 demo. It feels a bit overwhelming, doesn't really explain some stuff? Like a) how do turns work, b) do you just control yourself or other team members/their monsties too, c) when you attack you sometimes get this circle thing that you can choose a section of, the heck is that?

Turns are determined by speed, you can only control yourself and your monster, and when you attack it's like rock paper scissors. If a monster is normally power you go speed also when a monster changes state like flying or rage it's attack type changes.

Now all Lulu needs is one more ice boost xl and her genes will be done. I still need inflict rate up, salt in wound, and thunder boost for Tia tho.

how does gene hunting work? do you find another monster with the genes and then meld em or something?

You get eggs and hatch them or get them though leveling if it's only available that way. If you find a gene you like you can move it to another, but you lose the monster it came from. In stories 3 they changed it to where you don't lose the monster the gene comes from anymore, which is a amazing quality of life change.

All genes in stories 2 can be upgraded twice, but you need the extra monsters with the gene you want. The same system is in stories 3, but unavailable in the demo so I don't know if you can upgrade them or not.

I had to cancel my ps+ subscription today, my modem was being an old piece of shit all day yesterday so I unplugged it and ordered a new one, I do have the ps app to put more money into my ps wallet to pay for another year of ps+ subscription but it's not worth keeping it if I don't have wifi at home right now

i don't feel accomplished unless i've done the fight myself

in other cases playing with people is also just a nightmare, hyper jho in mhgu i only do alone because playing lobbies against it is awful

otherwise i think playing online is much easier than alone (think about it like you have more hits to spare between each other) and u shouldn't be worried about being deadweight in that case, i think, minus stuff like the jho thing

or generally, i think, if you're worried about being deadweight you're probably conscious enough to be doing a good enough job of carrying urself

hey folks, I'm playing Mon Hun wilds, is it worth early on to spend armour spheres on Rarity 4 armour? I get hit pretty frequently, but I don't know how much value 10 Defense stat is worth in actual practice?

is there any guide or resource out there on when it's a good idea to upgrade armour?

i would say better to keep them for more endgame gear, and work on learning the patterns/dodging stuff more 🙂

its not to bad to use them earlier if you're struggling, but consider if its easy to get better armour first

Yeah. They aren't as plentiful as people would like, some events occasionally have quests that bring some armor farms

Also check what type of mob you are fighting and what the previous monsters actually have as armor. If you're fighting rey dau, that's heavy lightning damage, so you don't want to wear the... uth duna? that fish-y mob, since that's more about water and I think it has negative lightning resist

my 1200 hour in MH Wilds fiancée says that regarding armor spheres. So probably see what armor combo (not necessarily all pieces from the same set = best to wear, mix and match can work well) and armor sphere that up a bit, but not every single set you use

I got to HR 40 🥳 . As a celebration, I went with a friend to fight 8 ⭐ Mitsuzune! it was barely doable hahah, I need better armour for sure. I carted once and my friend almost carted twice. But we got it with a capture ^_^

That monster is a tough one to fight

so i swapped to lance and started guarding a lot

it really let me tank some hits

It was easier than I thought would be, but I normally do SOS with randoms. It's much faster and likes combo It's explosions. I had to fight it three times for the tickets, he carted me in two of the three quests.
