Everyone I talk to in every single server I'm in has heard of BG3. Everyone on my ship has heard of BG3. My roommate has heard of BG3 and he doesn't even play D&D or go on gaming sites. Even the older guys on the ship who are nowhere close to being gamers have heard of BG3.
There's memes everywhere, even outside of gaming circles. There's songs, there's skits, there's streams, there's TONS of exposure for the game. It is impossible that someone who is watching the Game Awards to have not heard of it.
