Here's what I recommend:
1- A game whose runtime is about half an hour per session you suspect you'll have time to play, divided by half for the times you will not have any of the items you need to progress.
2- One that you can pick up and play in a few seconds, and can get new checks in less than five minutes.
3- Preferably one that connects automatically to archipelago, to minimize friction.

A Short Hike qualifies. I don't know whether Pseudoregalia or Rusted Moss qualify but you might enjoy them. Timespinner also qualifies but I would not recommend playing it on archipelago if you haven't played the vanilla game.

#

My personal rule is I guarantee one low-friction game, even if I am not looking forward to it as much, then if I have spare time in the month I add more games to fill it

1- Save states and the zora diving minigame (needs scale)

3- Collect fish in bottles and sell them (needs lots of bottles to be fast)

i'm pretty sure the sun tower goes to brittle hollow because nothing else goes there yet, so that means i have to do the narrow window of time entrance to get there, and THEN i can fall in the black hole to get to the WHS or use the surface warp to get to either the BHF or sun station, the WHS will go to the other one
