long list of miscellaneous thoughts:
- first, thank you Flitter for organizing all this
- this was a great way to shake up my second playthrough of Hollow Knight, I'm definitely down for replaying more games this way
- on splitting/removing abilities, I think the rule for me is I'd rather not split/remove starter combat stuff, but most everything else is a win. For HK, that means I'd prefer to start with all nail directions, but removing swimming was good and splitting dashes was good and so on.
- on shops, my main problem is that if someone's important item is in my shop and I can't buy it with standard money or items in my own world, then I can't do anything to get them that item. IMO it misses the entire point of a multiplayer randomizer if "I need X" can't be followed up with "gotcha, I'll go get X" (or "I can go get X after they get Y"). In particular, when there's a multiworld shop chain with "X needs Y", then some other player does the fun task of getting Y, and all I do is press a button to turn Y into X. So I think I'd rather all these special shop barriers were either left unrandomized, or (I assume this isn't a thing but) applied only to my own world's items.
- on high checks / geo rocks, in retrospect I think Flitter's right that having a bazillion checks is good overall, but I would prefer some weighting/priority/??? system that makes it so most bosses or platforming gauntlets give me something a little more valuable than 15 geo or 5 rupees, like a charm or a small key at least
- I believe I was right to play a game that other people were also playing for this, but now that I know Archipelago a bit better I'd be comfortable doing this with a game like Blasphemous that AFAIK no one here but me knows
- if we do this again, I'd likely be debating between Super Mario 64 (if I want chill
), Blasphemous (if I want hardcore 
), or in the unlikely but still possible event that I play Link to the Past for the first time this year, maybe that

The actual requirements for finishing the game are Boss Key (Ganons Castle), Fire Medallion, Forest Medallion if you want to hint for them.

I can't decide if SM64 is amazing or meh for multi-randomizer games. On the one hoof, all the gates being N power stars makes it basically impossible to get blocked on any single item, so BK mode would require being far ahead of the other players. On the other hoof, IIRC not a single item changes how you play the game, the way dashes and double jumps would.

I know you can collect stars and 1-up boxes, and areas are locked by stars. Some stars are locked behind cannons and hats.
