The area before him has one of those big golden armored guys (not a sentinel but something on foot) near the bridge. The one with a two handed sword wrecked me like 6 times before i killed him

Been having trouble with that guy in the dlc. I eventually just gave my mimic the river of blood build, then swapped mine to a serpent bow ranged build to just stay far and alive and poison it to death while the mimic bled it

I found a good combination of weapons for fighting the ||scadutree avatar|| the weapons are the Giant's Red Braid and the Magma Whip Candlestick cuz its weak to strike type attacks and fire

In most cases it's fun to try again and again because I see progress, but I feel like I can't do anything against him. I can read his attacks well enough and dodge many but there is just no rest at all between any of them so I have no time to summon without getting hit in the face at the same time

you only have 1 second to attack after a certain move set
also sometime he tricked you, like by do a little extra small move
and that's why jump hit is the fastest way to beat him

My normal build is a whip build and jump attacks is what I do. I just don't feel like I can get the timing down of those attacks before he just nukes me

Yeah, I couldn't even get to phase 2 consistently. Phase 1 he kept attacking and I never felt like I had any chance to punish him, no pause between attacks for like 1-2 minutes straight

Yeah but in ER you know how Co-op work right? You summon someone and only if you have to kill the boss of the area, and they go away once that's done, it's co-op with a specific objective in mind and not in general the whole game
Before the DLC came out a big integrated co-op mod got really popular, in which you could just play the game with a buddy all the time, I wonder if this is sorta of From looking at that sand saying "So, Monster hunter is pretty popular huh, and also that one mod, maybe we can do something like that"

Honestly I'm pretty excited because my biggest complaint with the seamless co-op mod is that it doesn't really lend itself to slowly exploring and taking in the open world - which is what ER excells at. This sounds like it'll be better optimized for rushing through and fucking shit up with your buds
