there's a few jokes like "Where's everyone going? Bingo?" that just get dropped because it's not snappy enough to be funny in the other language
those are words
(I am bad at music recognition)
Yeah I don't know how to word that sentence better
It's the same song from the original game's opening but remixed
if I ever remembered VGM I'm sure it'd mean something to me
once you get enough points and everything turns into a disco with strobe lights and shit is when the song actually starts playing
complete with the la la la la la lyrics
I remember this actually happened with Hi-Fi Rush apparently
Since everything was written (and, seemingly, also voice acted entirely) by the writer or director I can't remember, a lot of jokes I think kinda didn't land in japanese or people thought they wouldn't land
people as in the localizers
That fight was incredible I was surprised to see the qte ''come back'' and it looks almost identical
Which is kind of fitting for almost all of the game that I've seen so far, it's almost identical to the original but changed and remixed in a way that is still fresh which is literally all I want out of a remake
Like the layouts of the areas are 1:1 it's kind of crazy
Yeah, the streamer I watch started on Hardcore but it turns out that Hardcore may be broken
as in, actually broken until a patch comes out
So i'm guessing this is a DMC3 scenario where the Standard difficulty is already pretty tough
standard is absolutely the right difficulty for a first playthrough
there've been multiple segments that I needed multiple tries to figure out a solution to
any harder and it would've actually stopped being fun for a while
which makes it weird that the startup menus describe hardcore as the difficulty for people who "have played Resident Evil 4 (2005)"
An absolutely terrible video made late at night with zero editing featuring the Resident Evil 4 Remake's shooting range music. Hopefully the actual soundtrack is uploaded soon.
Nobody had done this, so I felt that I had to.
Yeah no it's super wrong
Like the streamer I watch is no pro but he's certainly not a newbie, he's played through RE4 a bunch of times and Hardcore was borderline impossible
The beginning village section took like, over 4-5 tries because it was just that overwhelming
and you can see my accuracy percent; without speedrun skips, there's not that much room to be conserving more ammo
anyway, survival horror is a genre that rarely makes sense to play on a non-default difficulty at the start, since it's not just raw reflexes that determines your performance
so I'm not too fussed about this
Thing about RE4 is that unlike previous RE games sometimes you have to defeat all enemies but also enemies come in larger hordes and are a lot more aggressive so even if the game was to give you more ammunition than other RE games you're still spending all that ammo, for a standard player I'd assume they'd always be on the brink of being out of ammo
which is a neat way of replicating that feeling the classic games have I think
It doesn't really matter what difficulty you choose I feel, I did hear Sphere Hunter say that even the easy difficulty has its challenge which made me curious what she meant
yeah, it's the right way to translate this formula in the action-y direction
the only Re game where I purposefuly went for a harder difficulty was RE3 because it doesn't give you much of a choice
Easy is baby piss your diaper mode and Hard is.. well it's hard
though I'd raise that to you almost always have to defeat all enemies
half of my preventable deaths are trying to run by something and then I get swarmed and die because I only saw 20% of the enemies
which is one of the major types of "I died because my brain's in classic RE mode" deaths so far
oh right, Tale told me to do RE3 on Hard and indeed it felt about the same as any other RE so clearly that was the right move
Yeah in the original RE4 I can kind of understand having a bit of a classic RE brain because the game even controls like a classic RE game but this is totally modern action third person shooter at this point
There's a tangible difference in the way Leon controls from RE2R to RE4R
remember I was playing Code Veronica yesterday
I'm not saying my brain is mistaking this game for one of the PS1 games
anyway I've mostly finished adjusting at this point, the valley was definitely the "worst" because the main cause of death was me taking way too long to make tactical decisions; once I got comfortable with winging it again things got comfy fast
Is Code Veronica as 'meh' as I always hear it is?
People were wild asking for a remake of Code Veronica on the chat all day long yesterday while I was watching the RE4R stream and for a game that I always hear is 'meh' there sure are a lot of CV fans
huh, I always heard it was good but too few people played it
but mostly it is good, although I haven't finished it yet and it seems like the first half is the best part
in particular, on that scale of how much you stop to think vs how much you run around like it's an action movie, I think CV is the closest to RE1 of all the classic games; RE2 and 3 are definitely closer to 4, at least based on my personal experience playing them
(Zero tried to be closer to RE1, and tbf the opening train level is pretty solid, but you know the asterisks on the rest of it)
hm... it's probably also fair to say that CV is a bit of a mess story-wise, like there's great parts that feel like RE1 when you're cautiously exploring mansions and labs, or like RE3 since Claire's almost the only one left on the island, and then weird parts like RE5 when super-Wesker kicks your ass but doesn't kill you
, or when I have no idea why anyone's doing anything, or this particular male (Steve) lead being a love interest was just a terrible idea...
I really need to finish it though
actually lemme shorten all of that
RE1, 2, 3, and CV are all good games, which ones are better or best is mostly down to personal preference since they're also all different in small but important ways
Zero's really the only one that just plain screws up its core gameplay design, and even it's still decent fun overall
One of the things I think CV could've done better is improve the fixed camera and classic gameplay system a lot more since it's PS2 game
at least I assume it was originally ps2, I don't know if this is a RE4 case where it was originally for another console
I remember playing the beginning and thinking that not much had changed from RE3 except the camera now moves with the character which is great!
... except that was here since PS1 with Dino Crisis and Silent Hill
tbf, I think that was RE4's job in that generation
CV was always something of a spinoff and that's fine, plus the moving cameras are still a big improvement over strictly fixed angles in many rooms
RE4 didn't so much improve that classic gameplay as much as it changed it pretty much forever also changing how shooting games work in general, I understand people may like that more but it's still a change
I look at games like God of War and wonder why those games which use a similar fixed camera system for a similar feeling never get the rep that they're outdated or janky like RE and SH do
I wasn't trying to start an argument over whether action horror or regular horror is better, no need to get defensive about it again
I'm saying I think the mindset at the time was that CV was more content of broadly the same gameplay formula on the more powerful console gen, while RE4 was the one experimenting with a meaningfully different gameplay formula
To be fair that was the generation that saw an increase in shooting and action games
And if I'm not mistaken they even said it was one of the main inspirations for changing how RE worked at the time
that makes sense
If I remember correctly even the beginning of RE4 doesn't exactly show a 4 at all after the bingo line, it just says 'resident evil', kinda like symbolizing a brand new change and direction for the franchise
or I may be looking too much into it
all the logos I remember back then had a giant 4
Oh yeah I'm talking about that one at the beginning specifically, after you're done with the village portion
anyway, I should really focus on this for a while now; I've reloaded like five times here because I'm not sure how this stealth segment is supposed to work and I actually want to figure out how instead fighting another horde, but evidently I'm not capable of doing that while multitasking
Oh I thought you were done for now that's why I was talking
nah most of this has been in parallel with the game
it's very rare that I just chat without some TV or game going on too
right, okay, stealth like a stealth game is not what they want and impossible anyway without greater control over Ashley; what actually worked was sniping everyone who wasn't very obviously placed there to be an easy knife kill
Stealth is a neat extra option in RE4R but without max knife durability and with Ashley it's a method that will only allow you to take down a couple enemies and then you'll have to do it the regular way unfortunately
It's still neat that it's an extra option though but it doesn't seem to work 100%
there was a shooting gallery ?????
btw did you already rescue Ashley?
There are many shooting galleries, in RE4R they show up as early as the first merchant house
so around the Gigante boss fight
or, Del Lago's boss fight, more like
i dont remember any of this game omg 😭😭
I mean it just came out
but there were shooting galleries in the original game too, they're just spiced up and different now
yeah i dont remember there being any in the original
huh, I guess I never found them
ok I think I understand stealth now
managed to get to the scripted event where you have to fight anyway without triggering any extra fights, but I probably won't bother with that again since it was a lot of resets mostly to experiment and understand wtf killed me in previous attempts
amusingly that reset me to old RE brainstate because I needed 3 tries to win the fight, the 2 deaths being that once again I didn't run around enough to avoid getting swarmed
I did enjoy the addition of some stealth
it's clearly not supposed to be like, how you clear everything but it feels nice to feel out an area and thin out enemies for a bit
Stealth comes in clutch against || the garradores, this time around it seems like it's the way the game wants you to defeat them, takes like 2-3 knives to the back to bring down ||
Of course you can still kill them the old fashioned way, but the new arena where you fight them and the stealth mechanics reeaaaaally pushes you to fight them that way
I haven't even gotten to them yet and that would have been my guess
I think it's finally Mendez time for me
I feel silly for bringing flash grenades
but I did get him in one try, even if it cost most of my heals
I think the evasion prompt wasn't working for one of his attacks but otherwise that was a great fight, I can tell it's designed to work multiple ways even though I kept choosing to fight from the 2nd floor as soon as I realized that was an option
oh, the castle's just right there after the boss fight
in the original you have to take his fake eye somewhere to unlock the door out of the village, right?
eh, I'll take it (and this is excluding the 10-20 retries to make sense of the stealth bit)
Yeah this time around the eye is just something you can sell
what do you think of Ashley so far?
I love the new Ashley
the little tweaks are great, yeah
they managed to thread the needle between plausibly needing us to come rescue her, yet her never being the annoying kind of useless/helpless "damsel"
I never found Ashley annoying personally but new Ashley has a lot more agency
She actively helps out when she can and when she's not helping out she's freaking the fuck out because there's murderous villagers trying to get her and Leon and she's got a fucking weird parasite creature inside of her
And I may be a bit biased here but I seriously don't understand the people who really dislike or straight up hate the new Ashley and Merchant voices and designs
I love the new Merchant he's super charismatic this time, plus he says a bunch of the old merchant lines
sure it's not the same voice but come on
New Ashley is so much cuter too, the VA does an amazing work especially when she's freaking out and screaming
the merchant personality seems the same to me
.... which is a weird compliment but I just mean she's a great VA
the complete absence of anyone questioning his presence is certainly the same

better not ask questions I guess
he's the only friendly face around other than Luis
and Luis didn't even pretend to give real answers
I don't know if you already read the files or if they're deeper in the castle but there's a loooot more info about Luis this time around
Which is a great addition
this remake does a great job at making the story a lot more cohesive and coherent
also Ada shows up much earlier here || and seems to be working with Luis?
||
not exactly, I've seen the first proper Ada cutscene which is definitely a welcome addition and has me trusting there are some legit answers coming
I saw the remade version of Leon and Ada's first encounter and I definitely felt the whole complaints about her VA
...was the catapult gauntlet always this janky and trial-and-error?
I honestly can't remember the original
big fan of the stealth mini-boss
I'm... 70%? sure that fight was very different in the original
that was the silliest viper encounter
I wasn't expecting one in that box, so I panicked and whiffed the buttons, end result was it leaped at me right as I did a broad swing instead of a targeted thrust
but by sheer coincidence it was also the last use of that knife before it broke
so I got this really loud noise like when two samurai duel in anime with a single slice and you have no idea who's dead until seconds later
and to my pleasant surprise the viper was dead
okay, for tonight I'm stopping right before the water hall
I'm sure we all remember that room (if not its name), and I'm getting tired so attempting it now would probably go very poorly
I would stuff her in my pocket
After playing RE4 Remake for about 11 hours across two difficulties, let me tell you. Start on standard. The descriptive text for the difficulty selections is a trap. Standard in RE4R is closer to the old games Professional than Normal. It's nuts.
Also the games incredible.
1169
I never tried Professional
Hah, baby eagle has special lines for stuff like going straight to the merchant after getting a treasure saying stuff like ''you're gonna sell that thing you got?''
so cute
SHE'S SO CUTE
one of the blue medallions I shot earlier got a "Nice shot!" from her, I assume because it was really far away and I got it in one
SHE'S SO FUCKING GREAT
I didn't get to screenshot it but || Ashley assists you with the armors by stunning them in place ||
SHE'S THE FUCKING BEST
Oh my god she says ''My hero''
did I mention I love Ashley already?
Okay so
Got to the Krauser knife fight and || Krauser fucking kills Luis now, Luis' death is so much more impactful and sadder, and the knife fight is AWESOME ||
welp back to not clicking on stuff lol
so I forgot / didn't realize yesterday that despite the welcome additional backtracking, there are still points of no return and there's no chance of a cleanup pass after leaving Village, and I got painfully close to gathering every Village treasure yesterday so I'm gonna be reloading some saves to see if there's a sane way to salvage that
ok that failed fast
apparently I'd have to go aaaaall the way back to before the Gigante fight to even access the lakeside settlement again, every other way is cut off by a scripted event or another PoNR
that's too much do-over for me, so back to Castle after all
woo, Water Hall beaten
since you all but have to start using the TMP in this area, accuracy going down a bit is probably to be expected
now speaking of Ashley, there were two changes there I really liked
the smaller one is that the original Water Hall I'm about 90% sure ends with you walking up to a ledge to catch Ashley, but this time she jumps down all by herself
the bigger one is that the way you ultimately get separated from her at the end of the chapter is not a weirdly elaborate scripted trap that would've failed had she moved in a slightly different direction, but instead... they just ||straight-up mind control her away from you||, which makes all kinds of sense
that's cool
the Leon x Ada cutscene was
especially love the implications that ||sometime between games Leon realized what was really going on with Ada during RE2, and has sort of accepted it, but at the same time is also still mad at her||
#characterdevelopment
I'm feeling like even Standard is a bit too hard for a first playthrough if you aren't very familiar with this game or series; there've been a bunch of segments, especially scripted ones, where I took so much unnecessary damage on the first try that I just reloaded
I'm worried by the time I get to the island it'll cross the line into not fun
my pizza delivery today picked the most frantic moment possible to show up and make me pause
"I'll just put this last head on the statue and then go save" the stupid part of me said
I love that ||Ada and her boss refer to Leon as her mutt||
pretty sure you said something like that when I was playing RE2
dammit, I think I missed one treasure as Ashley and the game's not letting me get it as Leon
this game is really not designed to be 100%'d without a walkthrough or a second run
It's a shame Ada's voice over is kinda ass
I saw Pat doing the same thing on his stream, is it a treasure where || the statues are chasing you as Ashley? ||
I can't remember if you can actually go back there
I mean that's half the Ashley segment
I love that Ashley || actually helps out in the fight too, it's super cute too seeing her scream at the plagas to leave Leon alone
||
Yeah you're right
in my case it's the ||"Locked Treasure" in the mausoleum, close to where the gold armor originally was; the way there is blocked by the four frozen armors||
The treasure map is very useful
yes I know about the maps, the game makes those basically unmissable
I've been using them the whole time and I still missed one
in addition to missing a chunk of the village I expected to revisit later
which is why I'm officially giving up on 100%ing the treasures, I'd clearly have to take un-fun measures to actually manage that
do you mean the "requests"? I tried to do all of them but somehow one of the ones in the village I never even found
in fact I just did the "Merciless Armor" one, that's why I know Leon can't get at the item back there
Yeah some of the treasures you can't get without a guide, there's a treasure in a later section that is very easy to miss since there's a lot of action going on and it's very on-rails so you wouldn't think there'd be a treasure there
I don't even know how you're meant to get it
OH MY GOD
She just gets in there before Leon even finishes talking, she loves it
Ashley is a ton of fun
You're too late Saddler, Ashley is forklift certified!
Oh my god Krauser's boss fight is so fucking amazing in this version
He's also literally just Vergil
straight up Krauser is just Vergil
ah, the "retro" design
I'm in the hive atm so not clicking on Nire's stuff
...what is this black bass for
consume
wow I have 32 spinels and nothing to spend them on
at this point I might as well grab an extra yellow herb
ah, I think I see the minecart treasure Nire was talking about earlier, and of course I missed it
NO

I cared about that character this time!
lol, I didn't even notice the furnace was an option until I was almost done killing them the normal way
part of me is sad that the cutscenes no longer have QTEs in them, but that last fight being an actual fight was pretty great
Much camouflage. So stealthy.
''If I don't move.... he won't see me...''
seriously though the camo bugs are great in the remake
I kept almost stepping on one and spotting it at the last possible moment
I remember these guys being more annoying than fun in the original
Alrighty RE4R ''finished''
Game is good
Funnily enough they're easier to spot in the original
and in the original they're fully invisible!
hahaha of course this is still here
wait a second
||the merchant gives you a quest to deface Ramon Salazar's portrait, saying "even the very sight of his image makes my skin crawl"... could this be a clue as to who the merchant is?
||
I haven't made it to the island yet
epic
Iiiii wouldn't know about that, I don't think there's any real tidbits of info in the game to really know who he really is, it never really seemed to be too important but there's plenty of lore on all the other characters and that's appreciated
|| yes and maybe even more, the regeneradores are much faster and stronger now, they go down easier but they regenerate just as fast, and the regular types can evolve into the Iron Maidens now instead of it being a separate enemy type ||
wait, I missed an even more obvious one: ||the Jewel Thief quest says "It is an heirloom of our family"||
||
||
i love the Merchant
i also love how the Duke from RE8 and the Merchant are friends
also unrelated but cool nonetheless

the actual OG
I've been playing hardcore difficulty and just got my 150 death counter milestone
I'm excited to try it
...that is not what I was expecting him to drop
(I might start a hardcore playthrough, but I definitely don't expect to finish one; this already feels like it's on the edge of my skill level and of how many resources are actually there to spend)
Just Ashley and Leon having flirty conversations in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Intro Music: www.bensound.com
#residentevil4 #residentevil4remake #survivalhorrorgaming
She's so cute
Maybe
Aaaaa I need this game
It looks so fantastic in every aspect I'm so damn relieved it's as good as it is
It's everything a person could want out of an RE4 remake
It's still very much RE4, but better and with some changes, there's a lot of changes but I usually found myself saying ''Oh, that's so much better now!!''
Odds are I'll end up doing my Merchant cosplay at the con before I'm able to play the game and meet him all remade
I got the ammo box textures from the remake demo and made little papercraft sheets to fold into prop boxes
ok, did the first fight on the Island and that's definitely my stopping point for tonight
(or rather, this morning)
I did notice that basically every was-once-human enemy has a female version this time (I'm not sure how many always were but I feel like it was only the villagers), which is nice
I wonder if I got the better deal playing all this in Japanese voices
of course that's mostly trading cheesy Hollywood action movie vibes for cheesy shonen anime vibes
Probably, the english VA is very dull
it feels like Ada's VA recorder all of her lines with poor direction and no context for anything
Originally Ada had a very flirty attitude but in this she's just completely blunt and uninterested on anything, even when addressing Leon in a more ''''caring'''' way
...you can KNIFE them?
you are braver than I, sir
She kinda feels like an asshole
That's what you're 'supposed'' to do yeah
I just stealthed behind them to get a clean shot from a heavy weapon and/or flash before running away again
I didn't notice anything hinting at a knife
i find it funny that even during the streams me and other people always pointed out how there's female cultists now and how it's something that is so inconsequential and doesn't matter but regardless everyone who notices goes ''oh hey, nice''

not that it matters, but I also got this line today
yeah there's no bells in the arena this time so the most logical choice is ''guess I'll stab 'em'', or at least that's how it feels
so glad I didn't click that yesterday

I did notice bells in the fight with two of them but didn't feel any need to use them
I was too busy evading their random wandering
It's a lot harder to manage the two now with || the new plaga enemy type ||
post-game unlockables spoilers
|| He's still got his stupid reload animations! And Ashley looks so dumb and adorable in her armor
I'm so glad that the armor is still here!!!! this is the fucking best thing ever ||
Jonathan just did an RE4 episode of his Gamespot series
Thought y'all might like it
https://youtu.be/juPxEuUOxfA
Jonathan Ferguson, a weapons expert and Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries, breaks down more of the weaponry of the remake of Resident Evil 4, including the iconic Broken Butterfly revolver and Striker shotgun, as well as new weapons like the MP5-inspired LE 5, and the AR15-alike CQBR Assault Rifle.
00:00 - Opening
00:47 - SG...
Jonathan is a good lad
TIL the 9 on the Red9 was a historically accurate detail
this is more satisfying than it has any right to be
(I got the full x2 on the Castle's crown as well
)
nice, you can even stealth kill the big guys with animal heads
...I probably should not have tried the bolt thrower during the first regenerador encounter
I don't know if I'm ever getting those bolts back
lol, I found a rare z-order bug: when looking through the biosensor scope at a regenerator on the other side of a door, usually it's only highlighting parts of the regenerator visible through the little windows in the door, but for some reason if this random chair is also in front of the door then I can see parts of the regenerator through the chair too
yeah the bolts did not persist
this puzzle should not have taken me nearly as long as it did
kek
the best part is I "found" another wrench sitting on a table somewhere in easy reach, but it was just part of the set dressing and I couldn't pick it up
I was so confused
I find myself frequently missing regen bugs that I thought I'd hit, unsure if they're extra picky about accuracy or what
oh right, I ran out of gaming energy at the wrecking ball defense, need to give that another shot after this MagiRevo ep
oh yeah, I still haven't seen the proper Krauser fight
finds Krauser's tape recorder
did they go full Metal Gear Solid with this villain? because I'm down for that
yes, that is exactly what they did
woo final chapter
wtf, I got every treasure on the Island, and only the Island region
credits
how was it
it was... ✨ ACCEPTABLE ✨
if you meant the game, it's everything we wanted it to be, with the caveats that standard difficulty is harder than one would expect (definitely harder than the original's default difficulty), and while there is more backtracking than the original there's still a ton of points-of-no-return so never assume you'll get to do a cleanup pass later
...oh dear lord why would you do that to yourself
Depends on which boss you mean
see previous message lol
I like it, but I don't know if Professional is also on Hardcore, because Hardcore is kinda doodoo
it's waaaaaaaay too hard, stuff is too resistant and too bullet spongy
then yeah lol
Krauser is full on Vergil/Liquid Snake now
it's great
I wasn't even expecting there to be a Professional difficulty unlock considering how hard Standard already was
Hell Krauser even has the || ''I need more power!!'' and ''Where's your motivation?!'' lines || now
also my 1650 is gonna arrive soon so I may be able to actually play this game maybe perhaps
and a tragic backstory delivered mid-fight because he's just a rogue's gallery member unrelated to the main plot
and the amateur philosophy lecture delivered with zero urgency because everyone knows plot shall not advance until this scene is done
I'm cool with it
It happens on other games too like Devil May Cry
I was just listing why it gave me MGS vibes
Characters like || Salazar and Saddler || I've noticed just never shut up during their fights, which I guess is... fitting?
also holy shit || Salazar || is an immense improvement
ok those two got a bit repetitive
Krauser at least had something to say to us beyond "y u no die"
It did get pretty tiresome and I think it's hilarious that || Leon shoots at both of them during their speeches which IS GREAT ||
It's the kind of thing you scream to the TV when the characters don't do that and they actually did that
I love it
Leon is a funny fellow
Yeah Krauser is a massive improvement this time around
storytelling in general is better all around
|| especially his death, you can tell that Krauser probably didn't exactly hate Leon, nor did Leon exactly hate Krauser, but both just went their... separate ways and it inevitably culminated in this, and Leon getting Krauser's knife now feels more significant ||
i was watching Jerma play it last night but fell asleep halfway through
Yeah, I still prefer the stories of the original games in some cases like RE3, but the actual direction and storytelling is inevitably better because the standards are just higher up now
it's still cheesy action movie nonsense of course, but this time they properly characterized everyone and even fit in a few character arcs so there are no longer gaping chasms like "nobody was any different at the end except the ones we killed" and "so... why did Luis exist, other than to remind us not all Spanish people are evil?
" and "I feel like we're missing half the scenes from Ada's story" and "who tf even was Krauser???", so it's always top-tier fun nonsense
I feel like back then videogames were still trying to fully figure out how to do... anything, really
Yeah, everything feels much more cohesive and connected now
For sure
i still dont know what Ada's deal is
Everything has a purpose and is properly explained or left up in the air
I don't think even Ada knows what her deal is
did you play the game?
ive played the original
yeah it's much clearer this time around
Well in the original she was working for Wesker
she's still plenty mysterious but now she has a clear goal, a clear arc, makes choices for obvious reasons, all separate from the stuff kept mysterious for her vibe's sake
I like Ada's new direction yeah but I still think the voice acting sucks
You played on JP but on english it's... it's just really not great
whereas before she just sorta showed up and did that one slo mo knife fight scene that was really cool in isolation, tossed us a rocket at the end because ??? and then had this weird unlockable mission that explained nothing
It's a different VA from the one in RE2R and the direction also feels lackluster, like the VA for Ada recorded her lines with no context at all and separate from the other VAs
to be fair, I've also played or watched all the other REs now, so maybe this was "obvious" in the original too and just meant nothing to me (and even this time it's a mid-credits scene, as it should be)
also now we get to see how Ada || actively goes against Wesker and takes her own choices separate from her job when Wesker hints at his plans in RE5 and Ada realizes that maybe billions of casualties isn't worth a couple thousand dollars
||
It was obvious in the sense that, well, it's part of the ending so there's no way you can miss it, whether or not it means something to you I guess depends on how much you're compelled by the story
I think the original's story is fine enough, it clearly doesn't take itself very seriously so you don't end up going ''woah this is killing my immersion'' or whatever, but the remake definitely takes itself more seriously and treats its characters as... well, characters
Kind of like Devil May Cry 3-5 do in the sense that wackiness and stupid ridiculous shit is the norm but the characters are still treated like characters, they go through arcs, they have compelling personalities and stories, the story is coherent and has a point and a purpose
yeah, the original's writing problems were never disruptive, unless you were expecting a very different kind of story, but they did incur a ton of weird fridge logic that made it hard to care about anything beyond the gameplay in retrospect
whereas this time I actually would like to know more about most of them and play prequel/sequel DLC missions about parts of their past mentioned in-game or things they suggested they might do after the game
I will say while I still fully think the original game is still amazing and still holds up and that the remake doesn't fully replace it like RE1R did to RE1, the improvements are just... so much better, and it makes the original seem stupid in comparison
Krauser is a colossal example of how this random stupid character got turned into an actually interesting guy
They actually kept a surprising amount of the original dialogue which is very awesome but they added onto that in here so that Krauser isn't just spouting random nonsense at Leon
Also this time Leon and Krauser actually... talk and don't just fight it out, they actually have a back and forth and Leon tries to wrap his mind around why Krauser is doing this and it ends up in the way it ends up
lol, the bonus menu model for Ashley is the barrel sit; you're not the only one who thought that was her cutest pose

Ashley is too good in this remake I never found her annoying on the original personally but this remake just made her so much better
That's kind of my opinion on the whole game to be honest, it's either ''oh wow this is pretty much untouched/slightly remixed!'' or '' oh wow this is different, BUT IT'S SO MUCH BETTER!!''
That's my review on RE4R
also does Wesker look like... the live action Wesker or is it just me?
along with a million microscopic QoL improvements that we take for granted with AAA games these days
even the settings menu impressed me in a couple places
The settings is ridiculous the amount of things you can change is just absurd
One of my favourite QoL improvements in this game: Leon can now just smash crates open
It's such a small change but it's so good
oh right, in the original you had to pull out your knife and swing wildly?
Yeah you couldn't just smash things open, I think you could examine them but you had to take out your knife to smash them
Which is fine, it was 2005
But being able to just smash them open or kick them open is just... so much better, it's always the little things that add up to make a more satisfying and smoother experience
I think you can still do it the old fashioned way if you so desired
I did so much weapon reloading while kicking a barrel and magically absorbing its contents
and if there's a snake in there then you have to do it the old-fashioned way
at this point I feel like I should play RE3's remake just for completeness' sake
If you can get it on discount and you really wanna play it... sure
I wouldn't recomment paying full price for that game
well first I need to finish CV anyway
Once all my new parts arrive I'm gonna replay Signalis, RE1 and RE3 again
I might start with RE1 because I really wanna unlock RE3 Jill's costume
Well its ''been out'' for a bit longer if you count the review codes and stuff but yeah I'm not surprised
the day it came out people were already reporting on how to get S+ rank at the end screen
You have to finish the game in 5 hours to get S+ rank
Leon's mind is constantly replaying ''Bring me to life''
I do want to point out
That I totally called the bit in RE3 about how they used a parasite to control nemesis being a tie in to re4
WHAT
Yeah there's no more dumpsters
At least, not any empty ones}
there's lockers now
So you can stuff Ashley in the locker like the nerd she is
What kind of dumb article is this?
Of course Separate Ways is going to be DLC...
Mercenaries is already coming in April
To be fair. I didnt know it wasn’t included
That and most people probably assume it is cause the original comes with it nowadays on modern consoles and pc
still upset over REmake 3
Well I don't wanna sound rude but that's on them if they believe that considering the current landscape of videogames, have they not seen RE3R?
Hell I don't think Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is gonna be safe from this, a bunch of the roster is probably gonna be microtransactions
Hell, even DMC5 didn't release complete, Bloody Palace mode was added after the fact on a free update
RE4R doesn't even have Mercenaries yet, you bet your sweet bippy Separate Ways is gonna be DLC, they wouldn't cut out Separate Ways in a million years but making it DLC is something anyone could've seen coming
that and everyone in this thread finished playing the game or watching someone play the game already, we're very aware there wasn't a Separate Ways in there, and those of us who played the original have obviously thought of it being a DLC candidate
if Capcom confirmed it, or dated it, that'd be news, but even that headline is a "might"
TO be fair even the initial release of RE4 didn't have it on the GC version
Only the PS2
ah, I probably played it on the PS2
Oh god sonic blast
Sonic Blast will be playable on all modern consoles in 88 days
It is inevitable that budokai tenkaichi 4 will be getting micro transactions but it will make the game not so very over 9000 like because not having the whole roster as unlockables makes me big sad
Wait really
yeah
it's being added to Sonic Origins remember
along with 11 more Game Gear games
I completely looked over that, now Im even more excited for it knowing it has the game of all time
US Government: Leon, we're sending you in to rescue the President's Daughter!
Leon: What kind of equipment will I get in order to rescue her?
US Government: 10 handgun bullets
10440
1339
and a really nice attache case
wtf even is an attache case

Today I learned you can skip the opening village fight in Resident Evil 4 Remake by shooting the bell from a rooftop. A scoped rifle makes it easier, obviously.
Jesus the amount of detail from this game is outstanding!

For your new game plus hard run lol
BTW Ashley still fist pumps when you get a headshot!
I saw that a few times
I love this stupid meme
I wonder if you could actually use the herbs this way
What do the characters even do with the herbs? I never really questioned that before
how do they combine them
eat them
(RE0 made it weird by giving Rebecca an herb mixing kit, so the other player character couldn't combine herbs)
ok but do you accept the blunt from Leon
what do you mean Leon wouldn't
Leon wouldn't damage his body with toxic substances like that!!!
..... he would become an alcoholic instead
Leon explicitly doesn't smoke
just like other Capcom heroes like Dante
edibles
Leon puts the herbs in that little test tube and just downs them when hurt
Yeah
WAIT
Brainblast
We know that people make ice cream from the Racoon herbs
So you could absolutely make herb brownies
the in-universe flavor names are just "red", "yellow", "green"
even in context this brand name sounds like a guy named Herb started selling ice cream to the pioneers in 18-whatever
I guess they always existed they just weren't used?

Alternately: All the yellow herbs were used by people who got there first
Well the yellow herb used by Leon increases your max health so that would've been useful
but that max health thing was introduced in 4 not in the other games
ah, the special RE2R herb rule was that B+R grants temp buffs
Yes but from a worldbuilding perspective the yellow herbs must have existed
So why didn't we see any?
well
I'm providing an answer
from a lore perspective
the documents in early REs describe the herbs as being unique to the Raccoon City area
and then suddenly they're in Spain

I headcanon that Umbrella couldn't care less about introducing invasive species to other ecosystems
Yeah
I mean they are miracle cures
ACtually
I think Rebecca states in RE0 that the racoon herbs were part of a lot of umbrella medicines
Luis was an Umbrella researcher and they did have an hq at Spain too apparently
The Umbrella Corporation created other species of the herbs that could grow on Rockfort Island and at the Antarctic Base by breeding the ones from Raccoon City.[3]
- Resident Evil CODE:Veronica (2000), item: Green Herb Examine.
that'll teach me not to examine every random item in the game
We also know for a fact that Luis worked on Nemesis now
Or at least the same team that he was on did
oh I completely missed a connection there
I totally called that
I think I was too busy barely being alive to fully internalize the lore room
yes
The handsome lad yeah
Apparently, I guess it's because people get too used to the clearly anime stylized faces of previous games
The same thing happened when DMC also went for a photorealistic style and ditched the anime-ish look
Everyone in the remake is, Ada, Ashley, Hunnigan are all bombshells now
Hell the only one who is a downgrade is Leon unfortunately
Lmao
Yeah Ada had me acting out
Ashley is definitely the most improved though
ASHLEY IS SO CUTE IN THE REMAKE GGGGHHG
She went from very annoying to adorable and fun
I gave her the red glasses and wowie what a cutie
She wasn't annoying before honestly
But she's much better now
her design and personality and even the things she does are a massive improvement
but what if she was a mouse
I remember back when RE4 came out it was the example of how to make "escort missions" that were actually fun
Yeah it was really good at that
(y'all remember when "escort mission" was a pejorative, right?)
I mean it still mostly is
One good example does not mean it's not still terrible generally
right, I mean these days games usually don't do it at all if they won't do it well
back then in nearly every game that had one it was the worst part by far
I never found Ashley to be annoying ever when I played through all of RE4 last time
or at least these days if they won't put effort into it they'll make the NPC functionally immortal so it's still playable
I just threw her in a dumpster and problem solvd

Yeah Ashley is immortal in this game too
Luis is too
I've seen Luis take a fucking grenade to the face and he just gets up
heh, during my last family zoom chat I was showing them RE4 and Luis complained that I threw a grenade at him
To be fair Ashley does a loooot of work to explicitly get away from your line of sight
It's actually adorable seeing Ashley struggling to move out of your way and shifting around so much because she wants to not bother you

If you keep following her by aiming at her she just starts freaking out because she's programmed to get away from where you're aiming at it's cute
yeah she very consistently ducks or hides behind you so you're basically only at risk of hitting her if you're trying to hit the enemy carrying her away
and in the story all the enemies want her alive, so it all makes sense
Resident evil revelations 2 had an escort type team, it was Barry and Natalia
i never got super annoyed with Ashley
same
It wasn't mindblowing writing but I liked Moira's character development in that DLC
she's better in the remake, but she was always pretty great
although it is funny that you can no longer just leave her in a random dumpster for half of the big fights
I guess she hides herself well enough now that it's unnecessary
(I only ever found one locker that she could hide in)
You can stuff her inside a locker like the nerd she is
And for some fights like Mendez's she actually does something so she isn't just hiding
which is great
I actually remember cursing at her and being like ''What are you doing?!??'' when she smashes the window to let you escape the burning house
Because she could've burned herself
Jake and Sherry in re6 also, except jake jumps into dumpsters to hide as well
like, now I want a Special Agent Ashley DLC
Yeah Ashley even jokes about becoming a special agent like Leon
she should've come back
Remake Ashley reminds me of remake Aerith
I think Ashley being inspired by Leon to battle BOWs would be nice
just like Rose grew up to do secret agent stuff
yeah what happened to her
Chris' story was action oriented, Leon was horror oriented and Jake was a puzzle game for me
When I was playing chris I felt like was playing some type of call of duty game
all I remember is HAMMER THE BUTTONS AND WIGGLE THE STICKS
That's a classic song
back "on topic" so to speak
what's your favorite detail of RE4 that isn't in the remake
for me it's a handful of the cutscene QTEs
Yep especially the goofy qte of Leon running from the oversized boulder
I was really looking forward to that one
this QTE in particular https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUhH8PEhrYs&t=30s I vividly remember missing the first time because I'd let my guard down, and instantly dying like a muppet, which is exactly the sort of thing that kept me on edge (in a good way) for the whole rest of it

Resident Evil 4 - 4-4 Castle: Leon Throws Knife at Roman Salazar QTE Dodge Cutscene Sequence (2019)
I miss the stupid codec calls Leon has with the villains
''We've jacked the line!!''
''Can't remember? A senior moment perhaps?''
and Saddler just laughs and has no comeback at all
he knows he got fucking owned
I've said it before but I feel like someone on the RE4 team was like "how do we make this metal gear"
enjoy the reunion with your old friend?
wow I do not remember these at all
now I see what you meant about the remake bosses retaining some of their original lines
"Your right hand comes off?" okay that one sounds familiar
if they got rid of the right hand quip im gonna be pissed
I don't remember it from the remake but there may not have been any natural place to put it
Leon's a lot more no-nonsense around the villains this time
at least they kept the bingo line
I like that Leon becomes severely less goofy and wacky when Luis is around
is he goofy around Ashley
also I completely forgot about the "It" boss
yes, though especially later on it's more like Ashley's goofy around him
He is and he's constantly showing off
the 'It' boss may be a thing in Separate Ways
but yes overall it was the 'biggest' cut content and honestly? I don't mind
Nobody really likes that fight anyway
I remember enjoying it, but considering I forgot it was even there I can hardly complain
"It" boss?
I guess the castle chambers with inexplicable lava are also "missing"
Yep and I'm not mad about that either
The fire stuff got repurposed into the Salazar mecha and the fire breathing dragon thingies are just statues now
y'know
So they're still there, technically
why was there lava in the castle
Because nobody stopped to question whether or not they should

Yeaaaaahh this small moment was amazing
Game is full of little details like that
I also liked how often he does that when auto-switching weapons
Also fun fact that I heard repeated a lot but I don't know if enough people are into the game's lore to know about
The handgun that Leon has was specifically handmade just for him by Kendo's brother who also makes guns and is stationed in San Francisco I believe
If you'll notice the handgun has a engraving that says ''KENDO''
Leon originally requested a Samurai Edge but Kendo turned him down and said it was just a really good gun that anyone could use, so he made Leon's from scratch completely
Originally, Joseph considered naming the weapon the "Gray Phantom" due to Leon seeing "phantoms" of the Raccoon City Incident. Leon, however, chose to call it the "Silver Ghost" due to him being a man who disappeared from this world during that incident and "wanders in the dark and gray fog."
It's a special operation and Leon has special military training, all of his resources are procured on site and nobody can know he's associated with the US
It's like Snake's infiltration missions in MGS
Actually it's exactly just like that
and of course they have no idea he's gonna have to kill hundreds of bioweapons
That and they werent expecting the high levels of resistance yeah
i wish we got a for fun mode like RE0 where we played as super human wesker
what?
Tramp stamp?
Ooh
I didn't know glue traps were a thing
So this is Mouse Leon?
it's a tattoo on the lower back
you've never heard of the tramp stamp Leon mod ????
I never knew what 'tramp stamp' meant

Yeah that's....
Krauser I don't know about that
he totally angry smooches that picture at night
LOL
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that

ah, the classic hit the button prompt through the door trick
Speedrunners are definitely gonna have with these
I'm curious what the final categories will be
obviously there's enough skippable content that just an any% won't cut it
All Treasures feels like the obvious way to define a "100%" category
actually All Treasures + Requests might be fun too
Egg%
Egg percent
I want that to mean get to the throne room and egg the portrait
that seems like a more satisfying run than getting to the gold egg by the lake
Friend showed me the last hour or so of RE4, hot damn
I won’t say too much but it turns out the chainsaw dude spawns were the least of my concerns, a very out of place sound effect during a cutscene is what caught me off guard instead
I apparently didn't get the achievement for killing ||Blind bro|| with knife only?
Which is annoying to me
I swear I did that
that one might actually be fun to do
What do you need to get the primal knife
the what
unbreakable knife
oh, apparently destroy all 16 of the salazar thingies

man Chris was absolutely amazing in this game, though it's really sad to see his progression from RE1-CV to 5-6-8 where he increasingly grows more jaded and depressed
I remember when people complained about his face in RE7 too, it was supposed to bring back his more original look from RE1 and CV but I guess by that point people were already more than familiar with RE5 Chris and it was an extremely odd change to make so suddenly
Only part I don't like about this game is Mia though
and she gets to survive over Ethan, and she also gets away with everything she did before, I'm sure I'm not the only one that doesn't like her character even a single bit
I really like Chris' tactical look, very slick (and from all the images that popped up when I searched for his RE8 appearance I can tell fans liked it too
) his section in RE8 overall was pretty damn nice
also I know peeps are excited with RE4R now but I'm still waiting for any RE9 news to see what the hell those BSAA bioweapons were all about
ok i'll stop
Ethan is such a pathetic sopping wet joke of a man i love him
Ethan is like Leon and Dante except a lot lamer
Leon and Dante are goofs and kinda lame but in a very cool way and they're also really cool
Ethan is just lame, and that makes him cool
He's also trying to save his daughter so that makes him instantly cool
true
:c
Good to know Chris is now in Piccoro territory where he's taking care of the MC's kid and raising them
who is Piccoro
Hopefully their relationship will be fleshed out more in the next RE game but if all other RE games are anything to go by Rose may just disappear completely and we will never hear about her again lol
Piccolo
who is Piccolo
oh he's an anime guy
I legitimately can't tell if you're making a bit here or if you just really don't know who one of Dragonball's most popular character is
i dont know who that is
Huh
i only know Goku and the white and purple guy

I was vaguely aware of the name but didn't know which character it was
I'm barely even sure about goku tbh
Too many vaguely spikey lads
so true
Leon is also experiencing unspeakable trauma everyday he wakes up
Ashley's just getting a taste of that
so it turns out it is ridiculously easy to softlock yourself in the later half of Code Veronica, and not notice until several hours later, because of the only-semi-shared inventory between characters
this unfortunately means I've been forced to drop CV roughly an hour before the end
it's super weird because the first half of CV with Claire on the island is honestly great, right up there with RE1, 2, and 3, in particular IMO it's the closest the series gets since RE1 to recapturing those Spencer Mansion vibes
and if you know about the character change points in advance so you can avoid softlocks, the second half is probably still good, but running into that without warning made it quite literally unplayable for me
(although I can say I knife-only'd Alexia so that's fun
)
wait so there's no way to un softlovk without losing hours of progress?
nope
it mostly is, that's what's so nuts about this
like this is a basic failure of QA testing
at least this is something you can very easily work around once you're warned about it
but it's too late for me
what's extra weird is that this is an issue Zero has as well (I did finish that because in that case Tale warned me), although Zero has other problems that remain problems even with a warning
Absolutely
This is one of the reasons I always hear when people say that CV is a meh game
The fact that it's very very easy to just softlock yourself entirely and make a save file completely useless and have to start over
Hell I think it's even brought up on Suzi's CV video

of course I don't watch that kind of content before playing
do you have any memory of how you fought the worm?
None whatsoever
if this one doesnt get remade next im gonna be mad
you shoot it
if you fight it as claire the fight is easier with chris and makes it easier to save the one dude
if it wasn't obvious, I never fought it at all, because there was no indication I needed to (and my weapons/ammo were clearly not up to it the first time I saw it as both Claire and Chris)
yeah most people dont think you can kill it first time
but you can go back and always fight it as claire before you activate self destruct
i think if you beat it first time its health is halved for chris
someone made a plush of her 😭😭

the power of fandoms
The real reason you need to play Resident Evil 4 is not for its horror and action but for its oddly pleasing inventory management.
#residentevil #inventory #asmr
there's not really an explanation, someone just drew it once and it caught on

wow rude
This is great!
at this point I'm hoping a future DLC references this meme
People are going to mod this into the game soon
I don't think it's easy to make a good mouse Ashley mod
unless it's just a reskin, you'd have to rethink how all the Ashley mechanics work when she's that sm0l
Yeah, scale is the biggest issue but also it's hard to make good anthro style models
well, I'm getting somewhere in Hardcore

Yes. This art piece quotes the tweet you just posted
It's not a porn artist. The link indicates a discord server image post
Here's the source
ok that's my favorite instance of this meme, paws down
I have no idea who they're supposed to be
I see Leon, Ashley, the Merchant... Wesker?
And I don't know the last one
if you're asking about the first image, that's the Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers cast as I think Leon, Luis, Ashley, Mendez and Ramon
Yes. The first image. I don't know who the fuck are Luis, Mendez and Ramon
Been like a decade since I played the game
Luis is the hot Spanish guy
Luis is the mysterious spaniard who inconsistently helps you at first, particularly during the memorable horde mode segment in the two-story cabin, and later turns out to be the key las plagas researcher who realized he was working for the bad guys and gives you what you need to beat the parasites
I do not recall but that sounds fun
Mendez is the village chief you boss fight in the burning barn at the end of the Village segment
I remember that one
Ramon Salazar is the little creep you boss fight at the end of the Castle segment
the 2 schools of thought
I recall the castle segment but don't remember anything about Ramon specifically
he was silly
Except kinda religious looking
not to be confused with Osmund Saddler, the Los Illuminados cult leader, controller of the las plagas hive mind, and final boss of the Island segment and the whole game
Look, my strongest memories of the game are me complaining about how the start feels bad
i should really replay RE4
Remake or original?
Is it on the switch?
Your other options are run the remaster on PC, or emulate via dolphin (or emulate via PCSX2)
I love the mousetrap with cheese in the corner
“Because RE has always been somewhat grounded in realism and I like my characters to make somewhat logical choices sometimes”
I'm not gonna lie, I like Ada's new design a lot more than the red dress, but I do agree that complaining about realism in RE is pointless
(reminder to please use vxtwitter so embeds work)
"Resident Evil has always been grounded"
have we been playing the same game???????
Leon literally backflips away from dual chainsaws in the new game when he could have easily just stepped back or something lmao
RE5 is special in this regard, but the writing was always cheesy B-movie horror even in RE1
which of course is fine when it's the level design and core gameplay loop that sets them apart
i mean even in Resident Evil 2 you had Mr Fedora Man who is basically immune to bullets
@EightUltra @emopetergriffin @ComicLoverMari You mean like dropping your gun? Or a police squad having no standard uniform? With a rescue team unit specializing in demolition? Where the gun expert holds the lock pick by default instead of the lock picker? Said woman was also a green beret in the NINETIES?
659
@EightUltra @emopetergriffin @ComicLoverMari This series had no sense of groundedness. It’s a B movie. What scenario can you remotely describe as based in realism when the first game has a shark basement, an Indiana jones attraction, magic weed, and a ceiling that crushes ppl in a mansion? Not to mention the obvious ZOMBIES
463
that's a pretty standard thing in all the REs
He's right you know
Mr X is even the same kind of Tyrant as the RE1 final boss
RE is about as grounded in reality as DMC
how do i always forget his name when it's literally 3 letters long
I mean this is obvious to everyone who's ever played them
what are we arguing against
you've really gotta stop going on twitter if you're gonna get angy that easily
I'm not angry
i love Moushley
the only problem with the Moushley trend is that the actual game contains multiple mouse-killing sidequests
WHAT
Actually now that you mention it
Wait I actually wonder if this is somehow too graphic

figured there was no I way I was the first to notice
omg Leon's thumb in the first panel made me think the crop top mod was installed
...it is very easy to imagine Freya giving Moushley a "you think you know pain?" speech
It's a shame how little good art Freya has
All the art that was made of her was in the early 2000s where fanart as a whole tended to be low quality
idk who she is but she's cute

basically, a lot of the complaints there I understand but don't strike me as things that'd bother me nearly as much as the more emotionally invested fans

in particular, I don't mind the idea of uptown being more linear because... it really wasn't that non-linear in the original anyway (despite how everyone describes it), that honestly sounds like an improvement to me
General thoughts on the RE3R at large on the community are extremely mixed to say the least
even some positive opinions at least have ''it should've been in development for longer'' or ''they shouldn't have cut content'' somewhere in there
I'm extremely aware, that's why I wanted to watch this in the first place
and of course she is very positive on 99% of what is there
When it comes to RE3R, what is there is a fun game, it's not a bad game, but I wouldn't tell anyone to go into it expecting RE3 Nemesis, because it's not, it's like a completely different experience, a loose adaptation if you will
It's no RE2R or RE4R
and I'm bummed that RE3R Jill will now be the face and voice of Jill going forward because I'm just way too attached to the original Jill that has been there since day one and while I don't hate the actress I definitely don't enjoy or like RE3R
I also recommend watching Suzi's videos on Dead aim and Survivor for some of the most unhinged Resident Evil content
way ahead of you
but yeah RE3 is definitely the weakest of the remakes so far and for casual players or people who don't care that much or even fans of RE3 it can be fun because it's not a broken unfinished game or anything, but it's a lot lot more different from the original compared to RE2 and 4 and has nothing of what made the original RE3 great and it barely has any of the locations with one of the locations being swapped for another one entirely for no real reason and the ones that are there are cut extremely short
I will also never forgive them for || putting Jill's iconic STARS line on a random hallway chase sequence at the middle of the game and Nemesis can just interrupt that line instead of putting it at the end where it belongs ||
"barely has any of the locations" sounds like an overstatement; iiuc it's missing the clock tower and dead factory, which is a shame, but the rest is all there
The park isn't there either
aaah, I thought Suzie said it was, but come to think of it there was no footage so I guess I misheard
and yeah the RPD is there but you don't go in there as Jill and it's completely different which is fine because the original RPD was pretty short but I don't understand why they had to give that section to Carlos and not just keep it with Jill
eh that's fine
Even as short as the RPD was it has one of the most iconic moments in RE3
i need to show u all how lame and silly ethan is (in a enderaing way) bro is on the verge of tears 24/7 giggling at his own jokes like hes going insane
he's such a joke of a man i love him
This is about where I'm at
Well, that and for the length of the game it should have been like 30 bucks not 60

Not only is it fucking insane that RE4 has a mobile version
It's insane that the mobile version is the actual full game
It's just straight up RE4 in its entirety but for mobile, amazing
based leon s kennedy says women HE LOVES WOMEN LET'S GOOO
#chrisposting #residentevil #leon
They cut this one out of RE4R
good lol
I kinda wish they kept it along a bunch of other lines but what is there is good too
it does suck they cut out Hunnigan's last convo for no reason...
You don't really think about it much at first but then you realize that even in the remake Leon just barges into a random local's home and immediately kills them when they try to defend themselves from a foreign intruder way before Leon even knows about the Plagas
and then proceeds to go on a killing spree on the rest of the local village and people
yeaaaaaah
