The ilvl sync to your highest level will be so good for gear managment

You can basically not bother until you decide to start minmaxing a job

I really hope that it works so if you have IDK, a max level DRG with high lvl appropriate gear, and a lvl 50 Warrior, you can sync it so the WAR gets the max ilvl his level allows, similar as to when you sync down some gear

It takes a bit more but duty support is a pretty passive experience if you want to lvl up tanks without much effort

currently im putting my bets on ||partial rejoining, like we're doing with ninth (hence why dawntrail would still be considered a start of a new arc). invite a little bit of the reflection to camp on etheirys, share our aether with them. the more planets we collect the better we balance each other's aether, thus preventing calamities||

just gotta figure out ||how to stop the planet from greedily eating up the whole of the shards||

I think I plan to have 1 general glam, 14-17 job specific glams and the rest for other uses, maybe I can have a few casual or silly getups ready to go to play around with and be silly

And if I want a new job specific glam, I will just roll one of the ones I have as specific back into the general glam pool and rotate the new one in the plate I freed up

Incidentally my WHM has a specific set so it is white , my BLM definitely isn't black since it's the one in armor with the fire but I feel like it fits, and BLU uses another set of gear, being capped at lvl 80 and doesn't need a dedicated plate, so it's blue (a bit)

funny how i was planning on being a PCT instead of VPR and Hi-Devil planned on being a VPR rather than a PCT... lo and behold, we did opposites for the first DT job

i will say that the cosmic exploration has some really fun crafter mechanics, which might sound strange but they introduce some things i really, really hope make it to 8.0 in some form

missions can get quite hard and you will sob if you misclick ruining everything, but gods its addicting

But to go forward I basically have to be lvl 100, so I decided I would go back to it once I get there

poeple were just killing random things for months on release of eureka because all of the spawn conditions for things were not crazy obvious

theres also to many active spawns, compared to it sometimes being like 20 minutes between something spawning of importance in release eureka

it was also much harder to safely traverse as a low level in the instance

I was worried about this step because I though I had to do them with the class I was making the weapon for

Luckily I can just do them with lower level jobs so I was already doing most of those daily already even without the relic weapon step to lvl the classes

So it's just essentially a "wait 2 weeks" step for me

I'm going at a decent clip for levels, I could afford the slowdown there

It'd be a new weapon every 4-5 days, so basically 3 new weapons at step 1

Or more likely 2 and then the next step for VPR without having to farm it on the day

Yesterday I did the penultimate step of the Mamool'Ja society quest, this is something I love about this game so much.

You go someplace that is fucked up, and they let you help fix it and show you the results, and it's so heartwarming every time.

spent the last day or so gathering stuff for crested doh/dol gear+offhands, free trial style

at least as a oneoff thing, a pilgrimage of sorts now that i'm finally at current content after half a decade

been going too hard crafting and gathering though, while everything else is whatever, tomes are gating me pretty hard

it's also making me learn systems i forgot existed/didn't touch, like aetherial reduction or basically anything to do with materia

What crafters need to get a shake up IMO is stuff like chained crafts.

Like you craft a thing, good, it's 3 combined crafts that you have to do in sequence,and maybe we give you back half the CP between them.

I do like that they are experimenting with less formulaic craft recipes in cosmic exploration though, it's a good direction

I lowkey liked it when you had to level separate crafters to get specific crafting skills but I get why they omogenised them.

the others tend to just be normal difficult but the floor 10 boss is hell for solo specifically

also the adds thing is standard rotation so you gotta keep killing them like every minute

truly though, the "new" 1-2-3 is the same as endwalker 1-2-3 (we are no longer doing the funni 7.0 misalignment) except you follow the glowy path and dont have dots anymore. nadis are the same. you still double lunar at the beginning. the only thing changing is the replies to the riddles which is like. earth reply, press to heal after the big ouchie you used earth riddle for. wind reply, press whenever within countdown window. fire reply grants formless fist and hey, you remember bootshine-dragon kick optimalization, this is just endwalker again except its not called bootshine anymore! so you always tap fire reply after an opo opo form within countdown so you can keep doing your 1-1-1 and stuff. congrats, if you're not forgetting your formless monkeys and swapping nadis as usual and pressing riddles on cooldown you're already doing better than a lot of monks

or you just wing it for ten levels and wait for evolved mode which. valid

I think ||evil Azem would work in the sense that they are the same stock as you, and you would have to wonder if their actions are justified given that they have your same heart, and are just given a different circumstance to work with||

We know from ||Ardbert actions on the Source that an Azem shard given a shitty enough set of circumstances can go down the wrong path||

Well, arguably, ||given that the 4th surface is already gigafucked, it's not quite as losing what's left of 1st and everyone on every other reflection||.

And we do have also another ||reflection, the Ninth, with small pockets of life we could cut and paste on the Source in a way that would be beneficial to everyone involved, similarly as to how Solution 9 is now better off than when it was still there.||

That said, that can't be the ||main solution to the crisis, maybe it's just a "we need to buy time" stopgap in the places in which it makes sense, because they are clearly going towards preservation and restoration when it comes to the 13th and the 1st, and I doubt we are reversing that given how many characters seem committed to that course of action||
