mayhaps we should explain what deep dungeons are basically, they're side content where you explore procedurally generated floors either alone or in team up to four players. you do small timed partial runs in chunks of ten where each tenth floor has a set boss and you're trying to complete a full run, which is far from an easy feat. potd for example has 200 floors, others are 100 i think. its unusual in couple of ways; you have three "save slots" to do different runs in. you start at low level n gain levels for that dungeon run (with potd its 1-60), you have unique gear - kinda - that you upgrade as you proceed, there are traps to be avoided, you collect "powerups" and try to gauge best times to use them, some enemies aggro differently (by sound, by vision, by usin magic etc). wiping with a party forces you back to a checkpoint, dying on solo ends the run. the real crazy people try soloing the entirety of POTD without dying for the highly coveted necromancer title

its pretty fun and you learn to never trust middle portions of room floors ever again

The later tileset I literally memorised the 3 locations that can have traps that are on the border of rooms

A trap will 100% kill you past lvl 151 if it's the one that summon a bunch of enemies

The optimal gear you can get at max level, ignoring the savage stuff, is a mix of crafted gear and a few pieces of tomestone/alliance raid gear each week that are usually better but are limited as to how much you can get per week.

There is the week before the savage release, that the crafters that are up to date with all their stuff and bother studying the market, make big bucks by selling to the people that plan to get into savage right away

You literally see people selling slot in chat, as in "I'll be able to make gear for this many people, this is the starting offer, you can PM me with your offers"

That said you don't have your lvl 80 ability unless you did the lvl 80 quest

also fates there give quite a bit of exp

Especially in the 2nd zone

The first is a bit meh

The exp you get for you normal level

The one outside of the zone

Inside your quest and power is gated by something that's called "mettle"

You get mettle for doing stuff like fates, and you can spend a certain amount of mettle to level up your...I don't remember how it's called but it's the equivalent of the Elemental Level

Diying lose you mettle but once you bank it into a level it can't be touched anymore

You switch the 2nd part of the diagram if a spectral current happens, and try to triple hook one of those fishes by the type of bite

It's how you do a lots of point

So in the first zone you start with krill, switch to rugworm if there is a specral current and try to triple hook on a weak bite

If you nail that, its 1332 points on one fish
