The later levels the hard part is not only surviving, but the race against the clock
The farther you go the tankier the enemies are, and 1 hours to clear 10 levels is not a lot
So doing a ton of damage helps with that

As a sidenote, with SCH you'll also automatically get SMN to level, so you don't strictly need to level RDM to experience all the role quests.

The data center visits in the same region has been a recent addition, and to my knowledge, they could just allow cross regional visitors with a flip of a switch
They are unsure if they want to do it, because they are afraid of lag.
Also some regions have developed certain cutural habits and they are afraid of friction when they allow them to intermingle

I kinda have to do those because time is really tight as tank and without doing it in one or 2 floors you just can't make it in that set
But they are really stressful and I am dumb
Getting comfortable is the way to not make those dumb mistakes, but to get comfortable I need to get there and pratice, and it's a long time to climb up 170 floors

Later you'll have big shields that lower the damage taken, then the cyrcle becomes follow the tank, figure out where they intend of stopping to fight the enemies, plop down the area shield and start healing then
Once you get it down you'll understand why healers do that btw
Healing is actually really boring unless the tank is pulling a couple of packs at a time

If it helps, assuming you go in crystalline conflict, the matches don't really drag over 5 minutes, so even if you suck at it, you won't be stuck in it for long
Also another positive thing, you can practices in the wolves den your comobs.
So if there are some combinations that are advised by the guide you can go there and hit a training dummy until you are confident on the order of operations
I never really tried it until after years I was playing so it's also really a part of the game you can avoid and not miss much

The Steppe is really unique, I liked a lot of the secondary quests in here too
Also a lot of the steppe tribes have a unique culture and folklore.
It feels like a bit of a break from the rest of the story but somehow it worked for me without compromising the main story plots too much.

nay. so during firmament questline in ishgard, ||he accompanies you and francel on visits to each city state to establish new trade deals. he starts as haughty high n mighty self important prick full of holier than thou bullshit, rude to you and francel both. over your visits he wisens up and actually tries to see other nations on equal footing. he's dad of captain carvallain (the ptsd guy) who ran away from home. tho the count doesnt know that part and is in that "its been so long its hard to hope he's still alive" phase but still misses him. and when you come back to ishgard you get this whole him looking at haillenarte siblings and going "ah, perhaps i have been a fool to forsaken these youths who try their best to usher ishgard into prosperity in this new age. what i wouldnt give to see my son stand beside them. perhaps he truly is still alive out there somewhere in the world, and will come back to me one day... or perhaps not. that is his decision after all" and i just waves hand am not immune to shitty guy realizing the error in his ways||

Personally PLD is my favorite tank in PVP because it fits the bruiser styler really well. Its atonements actually hurt and deal noticeable damage and It has a decent kit for survivability. Its guardian skill has the potential to be really busted at times too.
You can pop it on someone getting bursted and that teammate can literally use a Max potion without getting interrupted while being targeted by the whole enemy team.
You'll take all the damage though so you'll either bubble for them or use your Holy Sheltron
I think its really fun to play with. Definitely recommend you give it a shot. Its pretty easy to use too

The whole process is not that difficult, the difficulty is staying consistent and nor make catastrophic mistakes for 12 hours
You can recover from small mistakes
You can even recover from medium mistakes with some presence of mind and using some resources
But it's the bad mistakes that gets you

Luckily 150+ it's relatively easy to avoid traps
Since you can hug the walls and there are 3 locations total in which a trap can spawn on a wall
So as long as you memorise the rooms in which that happens, you are relatively safe, assuming you don't do risky moves

And there is always max one trap per room
And only in rooms, never in the connecting hallways
So the trick is trying to fight only where it's safe
And if you happen to trigger a trap, in knowing that at least that room is now safe

Yeah it seems that the theme for this set of relics, is colors you don't usually find them on that class
PLDs are red, WAR is blue

It's not really your fault, they on purpose went back and added content accessible to previous expansions in SHB, I don't think they did much of that in SB

Not sure if you've unlocked it yet but there is a "hidden" stormblood custom delivery npc that is unlockable in the Azim steppe. The reason I say "hidden" is that it's actually gated behind a default yellow quest marker. Since not many people bother with those not many have it unlocked

Oh sweet, I'm not sure when it becomes accessible, maybe after you reach a certain MSQ point? But if you did all yellow quests you should see it when it becomes available
