What I was worried about when you were doing the trials bring, is that some of the trial stuff released after this patch, and the closure of the trial conserns ||the 13th shard, which as you might expect, is very relevant to the 1st, since they are opposite of one another as to what happened there, one consumed by light the other by darkness.||
And since there is Urianger talking about it in that questline, I was worried it could reference 3,4 events.
But they are pretty good at compartmentalising dialogue apparently

Basically, on paper, DPS meters are not allowed, as any 3rd party tools
That said, in pratice the DPS meter available for FFxiv doesn't modify any of the game files, it just takes something the game outputs (the combat log) and adds the numbers together
It is basically a fancy calculator
It being still technically against the TOS means that you are basically never allowed to mention or reference it in game
And also any amount of toxicity towards other players based on DPS is grounds for suspension

btw the blacksmith questline in hw is nice n i quite enjoyed it (that one specifically was helpin that smol lady noble tryin to gain knighthood thru tournament), i like how she n her butler (? servant?) were written. im tryin to remember if there were any craftin questlined i outright disliked in hw. well, probably the culinarian one, i know u saod u liked that one gen but for me its just, eeeh. my favorite was goldsmith for sure, n armorer n carpenter (helpin a dude slay a dragon) was neat too. tho that last one would've, probably been better to finish before ishgard's status quo changed . alchemist was quite interestin since it went for a mystery whodunnit storyline (the ||dude who experimented on ppl to make clones n hop body to body to live eternally||)
