No, that's the neat part. If you kill the boss by using a suicide skill (that is, you both die at the same time), you still win. This applies both to the carnivale and actual group PvE bosses.
It's great for the Masked Carnivale 20 with act 3 Typhon. You can skip the whole tentacle phase (and earn a bonus achievement for not killing any tentacle while doing so)

For the actual SMN lore, you aren't technically summoning the primal, you are more taking a chunk of your own aether and attuning it to the "wavelength" of that primal you met in the past, to give it similar shape and abilities

At that point of the story, ||Eorzea is the continent you start on, and Hydealyn is what people in that (and surrounding) region call the planet||
As for what exactly is the Hydealyn you hear and have visions about, (the planet, a separate entity, something that gave life to the planet, etc) where you are at, it's unknown but yours are interesting guesses.

Elaborating a bit more on the primals you met on so far, ||it seems that the requirment to summon one are strong faith and a lot of aether (usually in the form of crystals) and hraesvelgr confirms that they are the conception of what tha being is supposed to be from the summoner(s) mind, so for example, Titan is what the collective mind of the kobold think Titian should look and act.||

Basically the way its set up, you set up your UI as you want it
Then you go in hud layout and copy it to a different layout number
You switch to that one and hide the stuff you want hidden
To switch between those 2 you create 2 macros
With /hudlayout "number"
For me the up arrow shows the hidden stuff and switched to the "3" layout
And the down arrow hides stuff and switches back to layout 2

it is really good! ||alphi's voice actor flexes as hell you can hear so much heartbreak in his voice when he finds out it isn't working. and then the animation as he struggles for a bit still, before accepting it and stopping the healing spell its just. so incredibly well done you can see every emotion in his face so clearly||

Yeah, considering this is a MMO, so the facial animations aren't usually what you spend the bulk of your budget on, they really do a marevelous job with still conveying the right emotions and setting the scene right for it to resonate
And yeah, good VA makes a world of difference
Especially since this ||was the dude that gave you asylum after you and alphi were fleeing from Ul'Dah, tried to cheer you up, etc, if this character mattered to anyone in the core group it was you and alphi||

All PLD really needs IMO are some tweaks like removing Divne Veil's healing spell proc, and just make it a normal raid defensive cooldown

I like it as well TBH, but I feel like the main problem with it, is that they shifted towards a more "burst window" focused approach in EW and the current rotation, which is largely stustained damage, alternating phisical and magical, really doesn't fit that style

These seems individually worse than the Shadowbringers ones, but are a lot less in numbers at least
There is also a step I can kind of doubledip in
There is a point in which you can run any dungeon to accumulate light for your weapon, and another you have to run specific dungeons to get certain items for another quest, 16 dungeons to be precise
The one you have to run those dungeons you can do at any point, and don't have to have a weapon at that stage for it to count
So those can be combined

Both because of the lost actions and the fact that there is unique rules
The 1st few runs of Delubrum are invevitably really rought because of the "twice comes to ruin" debuff
Plus learning what lost actions and essences work best for your class to optimise it
In my experience, people didn't bitch as long as you had an essence on that buffed your damage
But I did a while ago, where a lot of people were still farming the relics
I don't know who still lurk these halls now
I even main tanked Delubrum as samurai because when we went in, none was a tank class
Or main healed as paladin
I really like the lost actions system and how it allowed for absurd stuff like that

There is quite a bit of sitting down and reflecting through the story
They understand that after an emotional intense moment they need to reset the mood before pushing through
They become masters in that in Shadowbringers in particular but you can see it sprinkled earlier too

but ye its great when media isn't all just upwards trajectory of gogogo nonstop action. i like that in fire emblem three houses, you get major chunks of story in the end of month/main plot battles, but in between there's space for exploration phase where the other characters comment n reflect on the latest developments, reflect on the costs of war, etcetera etcetera

For the relic you can buy replicas for every step once you complete it, but before I don't think you can shove the relic weapon itself in the dresser
For the dresser, you go in an inn room, click on the fancy thingy

Once you put all the stuff you want in it, you click on "Edit Glamour Plates" and it opens this
You make your look by filling the slots, you save it, and if you want you apply it right away.
After your plate is set up, anywhere in a city or outside, near any aetherite, you click on the button with the red arrow I'm showing, and click apply to apply to whatever gear you are currently wearing
This application doesn't consume dyes or glamour prisms
You only consume the glamour prims to put stuff inside the box, and the dyes when you create the plate

IIRC the last area of HW makes flight mandatory for MSQ, but that's a weird thing that happens in HW and nowhere else (same with Idylshire allowing Mounts, that's the only hub that allows them)

It's really amazing how they took what were minor characters from the Dead Ends showing what Meteion had seen in their time crossing the universe and seeing them get restored to be given a second chance at life. If you haven't done the Omicron questline yet I highly recommend it if you like chill vibes. Also the title "Barista at the End of the Universe" is fucking rad, lmao.||

The best Mistake is using Superbolide a fraction of a second too late as Gunbreaker
Superbolide makes it so you can't die for 10 seconds, but also, sets your HP to 1 when you use it, so you use it right as you are about to die, but if half a second earlier the helaer just healed you with a massive skills, what happens is that you just wasted all his effort
And he has to heal you again from 1
