what is this series about?

It's two videos. The first is about a person who finds a laptop with an old Minecraft world on it, but the world seems to not really be anything special or used...at first. They then find a mine that they did not dig with a chest containing a book. The book is a warning to the player (named Avery), and the warning is as follows: "Whatever you do at the crossroads, don't turn left", followed by "run, Avery".

The video then switches POVs to the previous owner of the world, who discovers a tunnel in the mine that they also did not dig, with unusual properties. It leads to creepy and unnatural locations, and it seems as if someone or something is following them on their journey.

I won't give away anything else because anything beyond that is VERY spoiler-heavy, but both videos tell a very creepy and unnerving cosmic horror story not unlike Lovecraft. It's all about atmosphere and lore. There are no enemies, no monsters, no jumpscares (except for a couple towards the end of the second video, and they're done very well). I don't usually like horror, but this was fantastic and surreal.

As long as you're willing to suspend a little bit of disbelief since it's obviously set in a Minecraft world, you will be highly entertained, and you will get multiple chills.

you can dig straight down in a 1x2 hole, by standing in the middle of the two blocks

this way, you never fall directly when digging a block, you can see what's below you

it's still faster than digging a staircase (which requires 3 digging blocks per block you go down), and you can build ladders on the way up (make sure to have enough wood in your inventory beforehand...)

There are a few genuinely funny jokes, and I honestly like the canyon chase scene ("man sandwich" aside), and the locations visually are pretty nice, but most of the dialogue is hot garbage, the story itself is almost nonexistent, the human characters (except Jason Momoa's character) are extremely forgettable and ear-grating, the memes the movie spawned are largely annoying, about 90% of the mob designs look terrible, and there are so many jokes that are not good or are very predictable.

Well, I'll give them this, the new forest biome is beautiful, the new wood set is lovely, and wool stairs are awesome, so this will be a great update for builders everywhere. Also, there are two other features that were shown off that weren't mentioned in the actual Live event, and here they are:

Shelf mushrooms is badass and we finally get a "sleeping bag" of sorts, so that's another plus.

Holy fuck, y'all can't understand how disappointed I am. I was literally dreaming about exploring a Deep Dark dimension while I was asleep. It was awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely in love with this drop and the features shown, there isn't a single thing that I dislike (quite the opposite, every feature shown here is tremendous for builders and also just really cool in general), but dang it, I was hoping for something...bigger.

Although, I suppose in a way it wouldn't make sense to reveal anything Deep Dark related yet since Dungeons 2 isn't out yet. Maybe that's hopium/copium on my part but I feel like something has to be coming.

Generally polar bears tend to be the most aggressive, while grizzlies will leave you alone if you play dead. Perhaps make polar bears more aggressive, and have grizzly bears at the current polar bear aggression level?

There's more to it, but a quick example of it would be firing an arrow in your main hand and then immediately switching your sword to your main hand before the arrow kills your target, thus gaining the benefits of the sword's sharpness and looting and such

It was extremely cheaty

More than once in UHC games I was the victim of it from sneaky snipers in the trees who would camp areas and attribute swap snipe from above.

Thus using an unenchanted bow to kill people in iron armor in like two or three hits thanks to sharpness enchants.
