Funny idea I had related to the Minecraft Movie, unsure if they used this gag or not (haven't seen it yet):

A riff on the age old illogic of collecting literal magma with iron pails, by having a curious and clueless protagonist pick up a lava bucket, stare mesmerized at the bubbling lava...than spontaneously burst into flames when they try to touch it, dropping the bucket (which gets burned up by the spilled lava) and running around screaming on fire until somebody else extinguishes them with a water bucket.

Could work really well as a humorous background incident while the group's leader talks to someone else about their quest.

when i played on my WiiU i filled the entire top right corner of the map with a floating obsidian platform and called it the Shadowlands

when you hold down the break/place key on the keyboard it will instabreak or place as fast as you can

I use that on a server where we have reach-extending tools so I can place 60 blocks in a line in a couple seconds

Does anyone know some good shaders and resource packs for fabric? Sorry for asking another question, im still new to this whole thing

That depends on a few factors. Let's start with the resource packs. What kind of theme do you like? Fantasy, modern, realistic, colorful, cartoonish, etc.? Also what resolution would you like? The default is 16x, but there's also 32x, 64x, 128x, 256x, and more. The higher the number, the higher the pixel resolution, and the more detailed things can be, but this also takes up more RAM and CPU resources.

For me, I play with a TON of smaller resource packs that change very specific portions of the textures, but not the entire game's textures.

And some of them are custom-made.

The first couple are actually 8x packs, which shrinks the resolution and makes every block look smaller than it is. It's super weird, but also super cool.

Tbh though, the packs within it are pretty much the ones I would've suggested anyway, they're all pretty good, just not my personal style.

Now for shaders. Gonna be honest, there isn't nearly as much variation for these, but there are a few I can recommend.

Miniature Shader is super small and offers mainly lighting, reflection, and shadow stuff. There's not much else to it, but it's nice if you just want a tiny bit of visual appeal without exploding your computer: https://modrinth.com/shader/miniature-shader

MakeUp Ultra Fast is a lightweight shader designed to give a graphical and visual overhaul while sticking to the vanilla feel without sacrificing performance. It's pretty nice, but nothing too "special". https://modrinth.com/shader/makeup-ultra-fast-shaders

Mellow Shaders is very slept-on, giving a very gentle and, well, mellow and warm shader look that greatly enhances the visuals of the game without being too resource-heavy, and it doesn't change the vanilla look that much either. https://modrinth.com/shader/mellow

I don't know how powerful your computer is, but if it can handle Complimentary Reimagined without imploding, I think you'll love it.

Tried my best to make an elytra tower that matched the rest of my base

First of all, I love how the stronghold is right under the village, that's super cool from a world lore perspective.

And second, I really really really hope that the Java edition of the game can eventually get Bedrock's smoother, faster, and MUCH bigger chunk rendering distance. It's one of the few things from Bedrock that handily beats Java. Sure, you can use mods to do it on Java, but it's not as smooth and not as pretty to look at.

Distant Horizons comes close but I hate how plastic-y it makes everything look, even at short distances. Like...come on, this is ugly.

I guess Distant Horizons doesn't look as bad if you have a high render distance normally, but at 10 chunks or less it looks terrible.

People complaining about mob transport, but I feel like they're not quite grasping all the Lead changes. Importantly, you can now leash mobs to other mobs. Attach one to a Happy Ghast, then attach a whole bunch of other mobs off that one. The Happy Ghast might be slower, but you can theoretically transfer so many more mobs all at once, and much more safely

That's the theory anyway. Requires experimentation

There's four bridges heading to El Farón (the village with my end portal) and they're made up of 3 different style of bridges

This is one of two bridges leading from spawn to Cliffs Edge (the town I built as my base)

Only this one and not the other because this one's significant better looking

A good chunk of the bridges on the trail from Cliffs Edge to TableKeep ruins (the ruins at the end of that long trail) are this style

Twords the end I decided to use some suspension style bridges, which I was nervous about, as when I was younger I really struggled with these and couldn't get the curves right, but I was able to get them with only like 2 iterations each

All of those were being designed as they were built, I didn't go in with any particular plans and didn't build a version in a creative copy to get an idea

However this next one was designed in a creative copy first, because of the sheer scale of it

Well, Appleskin won't work since you need it installed on the server, which it isn't. Not sure what Collective is, and Distant Horizons also needs server stuff installed before it can work on multiplayer, iirc.

Spectators Get up to the top floor, which is made almost entirely of glass, by riding the bubble elevators on either side of each entrance.
In the center is a reverse bubble elevator to take the spectators down to bedrock and to the exit tunnels, leading to right in front of the entrances
Each gear set is: 2 stacks of ender pearls, 64 steak, Netherite set including sword pickaxe and axe, a bow and 2 stacks of arrows, 3 enchanted golden apples, 2 stacks of their respective colored concrete, and a shield
Arena is mostly empty, as I'd have no idea what to put down there as like, obstacles or environment lol
LOTS of beacons, just to look cool and make sure every inch is covered with buffs, for fairness

Here's a tip for caving near lava: always have a water bucket, always have ender pearls (if you can get them), and always have blocks on your hotbar.

Your reactions are your first defence. Even in the Nether, you are fast enough to back away from lava if it starts pouring out of a wall. As soon as you see it, back away as quick as you can and place some blocks down between you and it. Use enderpearls if you need to get out quickly.

The water bucket is only useful in the overworld, but it's basically a shield. Simply place it down at your feet, and you'll likely be safe.

basically there’s a book that allows you to easily position armorstands, and the book is added by a datapack

in Java, armorstands can’t be modified like they can in bedrock, so vanillatweaks made this book that allows you to position, pose, and manipulate armorstands however you’d like

It's distasteful to me too, but that person hasn't been on the server in I think a couple years now. In hindsight, maybe they would've made a better decision. But the logo was there, they put work into making it, and I can only hope that they didn't destroy the logo pixel art afterwards.

Replacing the logo does not, however, mean that the warning is gone. Build integrity and keeping everything as pristine as possible is one of the core tenets of the server. PonyCraft was designed to be basically a forever world where people could hop in at any time, even years later, to pick up where they left off.

Usernames are case-sensitive in games (above your head), but when logging in using the username, whether is it in caps or not, will still work.

This sounds like a "yes, but not really". I just want to make sure that when I whitelist a person I don't screw up by capitalizing something on accident, or something. Because in their whitelist application it was all lowercase, but their actual name (presumably) in NameMC has a capital letter.

Mojang knows how badly some people want a truly rare cape, and I think they're not going to give in to those demands because it encourages the black market of account selling
