Ugh, the mechanic changes to pres evoker just hurts. Instead of taking the mechanics that were fun away they should have just scaled the numbers down and brought other healers up. I don't understand.

Well looking at how they revamped and tweaked things, they're probably open to keep working on evoker. If they over-corrected, the needle can still be tweaked in the other direction again. Just gotta have enough people giving this feedback

The other thing is that healing this expansion is brutal, especially for higher keys in M+. I felt bad for the healers that struggled to get through. It already felt pretty iffy at times as a pres evoker which says a lot about the system in general.

Oh well. I picked a broken healing class by accident at the start, taking a risk and trying a role I haven't done in a long time on a new class and it was a fun experience. This was definitely up there with early Legion shadow priest for me.

On the Resto shaman hype train I go.

The other thing is that I loved the tier bonus for pres evoker too. Getting instant fire breaths that stack up to 2 to juggle in your rotation to deal damage or spot heal was very good. The next tier set looks good for healing but not necessarily in a fun way.

6 weeks of timewalking in a row with a different expansion. Heroic raid level weekly quest for doing it = 6 402-411 pieces. So, I know I'm not supposed to do the quests on my alt I'm doing the M+ challenge on but uh, let's just say I will but won't equip the gear until after we're done doing the challenge because that's a lot of wasted loot otherwise.

Also, I guess I'm going to have 15 alts with at least 6 heroic raid pieces by the end of this... and I better see an infinite timereaver for my troubles after the grind hell I can only imagine I'll be putting myself through.

You can get tier set as a casual by converting the storm gear into tier.

And honestly, an M+2 isn't that different from an M0, but it can count I think? Gotta check exactly what rank minimum

For converting pieces? M0 I'm not 100% sure about since they're 372 and the lowest LFR pieces are 376—so probably not? M+2 for sure. The 385 pieces from the Forbidden Reach will be the best bet and easiest to convert. If you haven't been doing the revival catalyst requirements very often and have few charges the good news is that in season 2 you won't need to do a quest for the charges anymore, you'll get it for free each week.

I got up to 26 copper so I was 1/3rd of the way there. I've seen 1 silver drop for someone in the past and one gold from the lunker farm.

The lunker farm only happens like maybe once every 3 days I check and doesn't last long so it took like 2 weeks of constantly checking and joining the groups I could find to get that point.

Hmm, completing world quests in the forbidden reach doesn't count for the 5 needed for the weekly quest it seems.

So, I don't think I really need anything from the vault anymore on my main. I finished all my sockets. I guess the last thing would just be a terros core for the mount and that's about it. The most exciting things I can expect is a 6 ilvl upgrade for helm/chest which is eh.

Well, it looks like for some people (including me) that doesn't seem to be the case as an item or two are missing. Tbh instead of stones that give damage or healing I would have preferred to have seen fun ones instead like: each time you kill a legacy boss gain a 8/9/10% movement speed buff for 2 minutes, stacks 5 times (stones have 3 levels). 2) Exp gained for pets in pet battles is increased by 20/25/30%. 3) Increase aoe loot range by 1/2/3 yards. Stuff like that.

Unfortunately they seem very rare, so I got lucky getting even one of them. Sucks they're bop and I made them on a druid. Annoying that it didn't say it was BOP before I learned to make them. I sent them feedback on it in the hopes they'll at least put in BOP in the plans before learning them. I also posted on WoWhead about it so I hope others don't make the same mistake I did.

I think they may be accidently counting one of the bosses as a "raid boss" because it's 0/5 dungeons and/or raid bosses to count towards the goal.

I'm going to be doing the quest on several characters so I'll confirm if that's the case for sure or not. Perhaps it was a 1 off, rare occurrence but we'll see.

Yep, the "End of Times" dungeon for this week in the timewalking cata event 100% counts as 2 dungeons towards the 5 you need for the week to complete the quest. I joined again on my priest who just grabbed the quest, and got 2/5 once more.

A good week to quickly knock out those heroic pieces on alts; until they fix it of course. The dungeon pool isn't that big for cata. Seems less than normal? So, odds are you'll come across the dungeon on at least one or two alts I reckon.

Lot of comments on WoWhead are saying that the Mossy Mammoth (the mount you get from the Zskera Vault) is likely time-gated. It's the one where you need to combine items to make and every comment has been saying they've yet to receive one specific item from last and this week after opening all 30 doors.

I think it's a weird timegate considering that its items you need that are locked behind a bunch of doors each week and they're not BoA. Which means you'd have to unlock every door on one character each week in the hopes of getting the items you need when you could be using those keys for your alts to get the stones for the ring.

Btw, I've been leveling all my professions to 300 classic to craft all the ZG stuff and to prep for the Naxx stuff that'll eventually come out. If anyone ever sees a cool transmog item from any of those just let me know and I'll craft whatever you want for free. That includes potentially the Hungering Cold (Sword of a Thousand Truths), Wraith Blade, Atiesh (maybe, doubt they'll re-release this one) or whatever else they throw at us. Only annoying thing is the character needs to be between 25-30 to use them and learn the transmog but you could always just hold onto them and level when there's a big leveling event that happens for fast levels.

I have 95% of ZG stuff. The last 5% is kind of eh to grab besides maybe the last LW pattern I need.

Hmm, okayyyy. The changes are moving in a better direction. I do like the affixes being delayed... As long as they continue to monitor and make needed changes to affixes so they're not completely awful I'm fine with it but I'm still holding out hope for kiss curses as affixes instead; if not for the upcoming season, for future seasons.

I like it because it transforms you into the mount. I only have one other mount that does that.

You can snag the breaths from any difficulty of Nokhud at about a 20% chance; you need 3. You also need to be renown 22 with the Centaurs. The breaths are BOA so you can mail them if you get them on a character who doesn't have the renown. The other requirement is a few cheap mats from the AH and then you're set!

For me, it's right around that time I normally get burned out with a good new expansion. Actually, I played wayyy longer than I normally do consistently (compared to my favorites such as Legion and Wrath which I also took long breaks) so I'd say that's a win. Now, normally I would skip a major patch and likely come back the following but if 10.1 has compelling content I may come back at some point during it.

Then again I didn't really have people to play with during those expansions, so that may have been a big part of it. I'll likely linger around and hop on for M+ with Tcher at the start but otherwise I'll be on a lot less I'd say for a while.

I actually calculated the time I spent going around on each alt doing all 14* and found that it took me like 4 hours to get all my alts done (14 at the time) which equated to 28000 gold; which isn't bad in terms of raw gold but... meh I'm lazy.

I think I just hate doing raw gold farms anyway. I need something to keep me interested like a rare item that could drop that sells for a lot.

Instead of raw gold farming with all my alts each week I'll just pick one raid to send them all to in order to farm out one mount until I eventually get it before moving them to another raid.

G.M.O.D is my first target, which is why I'm gearing out as many as I can.

Biggest thing for me is feeling like I need to raid in order to obtain special pieces of loot that are vastly superior to that in m+ and I hate that. Not only that, the fact that they're rare pieces that everyone wants is kind of silly and they're carrying that into the next raid tier. Maybe I'm just getting old but my overall enjoyment of needing to set aside several hours a week to throw attempts at a raid for a small chance for the best pieces doesn't appeal to me and may be the biggest contributing factor of my burnout of the game.

I have no issues with raiding having better loot; it's harder content and people should be rewarded but the loot shouldn't be rare and shouldn't be miles ahead.

Not to say M+ doesn't have issues, it does. Farming the same dungeon 100 times for a trinket is never fun. I like FFXIV's approach of being able to save up tokens to acquire the loot you've been too unlucky to win.

And in that case, you either win the loot early on from sheer luck or buy it several weeks down the line when the content is already on farm.

Hmm, if they make the allied races baseline those mounts might become no longer obtainable. I'd say clean up any remaining allied races you have sooner rather than later. The best thing out of that spiel to me is BFA raids becoming easier to solo relatively soon.

Yeah, Dark Iron Dwarves and Mag'har Orcs require running BFA part 1, while the Alt-Trolls and Alt-Humans require BFA Part 2, which just sounds painful.

Lightforged Draenai and Void Elves require doing the entire Argus storyline from the end of Legion.

To be fair, they aren't timegated and I think not replocked either nowadays. You can hyperfocus on just the campaign stuff rather than any dailies or side quests

Ah, neat. A hotfix went through to limit this to mythic only (it was available on other difficulties) as is normal so far for tier. This got lots of complaints as people liked the raz skin idea too. Blizz listened to feedback and is making it so Mythic gets 2 per last boss kill, and the other difficulties have a very low drop rate chance

Just Evokers so far. Not to say other classes don't already have support stuff (power infusion comes to mind) but this spec seems to be adding a few abilities at a time. Will have to see if it truly feels like a different type of spec than just "DPS with group buffs"

I'm more excited about this than anything else currently happening in 10.1 or datamined for future patches. Something about crafting old weapons and gear no longer obtainable is awesome. I'm guessing it'll require classic professions as opposed to wrath ones since the ZG one worked that way; would be nice and make my life easy since I have all my classic stuff at 300. Mount's cool too I guess.

Also, the way you got the recipes in ZG were cool too so I hope they add some fun mechanics inside the raid you have to tinker with to unlock and gather them.

It starts out at like 40 per week, goes up to 80 when you hit a certain skill, and then 110 when you hit another skill rank.

Professions need a total rework, yes. Right now it's just a grind, either gold or time.

The only people who really benefited from it gold wise are the ones that maxed out a specific area, got a rare recipe, and immediately started selling crafts (lariat comes to mind).

Yeah, they need more toys/mounts/pets/cosmetics for anyone to craft that can only be bought through the crafting system.

Gear for content will eventually die or become wanted just for transmog, but cosmetics will always be wanted, forever.

Give more illusions for enchanters, give wand/staff appearances and glyphs for inscribers, toys for engineers, etc...
