Yeah, having three custom warp points is super handy but not as useful if you clear every area thoroughly before moving on.

You can get an advantage by ping ponging between areas and getting valuable stuff without dealing with all the difficult enemies though

it feels like they decreased the price of the perma teleport crystals at some point, its never even scratched my bank to buy the big teleport ones, though. as the small ones feel redundant

The prices are balanced for people who do a limited amount of grinding. They're just here to ensure you can't reach an area super early and buy the crystal then leave

The mercury shrine crystal can be reached from the start and costs 10 silver. That's the biggest grind

For the PS1 rerelease they added an easier arrange mode with redesigned sprites, including red haired Ayami Kojima style Simon, a bit of a different Dracula design at the end, and alongside the new sprites is a groovy remixed soundtrack as GT posted… Chronicles/X68k is by far my favorite Castlevania game, hope ya don’t mind the infodump 💜

There's some good stuff in that chest actually, and if you're clever enough with your skills and spells, you can open the chest and get out of the explosive plant radius.

Now's also probably a good time to mention that there's a spell that allows you to teleport yourself and others (including enemies) all over the place. It's an aerothurge spell, so if any of your characters have a level or two in it, find that spell and give it to them. It's amazing, and damn near essential in later portions of the game.

Sony only have Firesprite (which is also downsizing), Media Molecule and XDev (who are technically a support studio and not a developer in their own right) in the UK now, they closed Sony Liverpool originally known as Psygnosis years ago.

So Sony have basically pulled out of Japan (ok they still have Polyphony Digital and Team Asobi, but that's it) and UK for the most part now. The 2 markets that basically helped get the PlayStation brand off the ground in the 90s. Good job Jim Ryan! Hope the door slams you hard on the butt when you finally leave in the next few months

these were useful, i have done the victory, it took me like 30 hours being semi thorough i also cleared the ||sequioa tree without the golden quintar || and spent a while exploring randomly

i am unsure if im gonna go do the various bosses i found in the depths+ quintars, i think thats the only bosses i found i didn't kill?

oh and the crag demon but that will be super easy at this level probably

It took me a hundred hours to get every achievement in one run

I recommend skipping minigames if you go for the golden quintar. Races are super annoying at the start when you only have a basic quintar

The endgame superbosses are the best part of the game, so I fully recommend them

i saw three? i almost killed ||the old one|| and then realised i was getting distracted and went back to main path

also the big cube which i found the solutions to enter at least, and then didn't do

As difficulty ramps up, the game enters the "puzzle" phase where you can't beat bosses with stats alone, and you have to devise strategies for each boss.

Chaos Mode remixes the game so almost every fight is a puzzle fight

The Sky Arena is a fun exercise in how much damage one character can deal before they get hit

Oh, I forgot one

||Overgrowth, hidden in a cave in one of the quintar race areas. Very difficult to reach without a bugged owl high jump (unless you're in a quintar race||

Capital Sequoia's ||Enami is the horse mermaid in the moat just outside the sewers||

And ||Hermetic is just out of the library. It pops out of the snow every so often||

You probably want Pointy Hat

In the water west of the big tree is a super fast squid. Catch up to it and talk to it from the sides or front to get the pointy hat. It adds one turn to every debuff you apply. Invaluable for summoners

i also need to master beastmaster+ blue mage still, i found 1 of the 2 spells i'm missing on a random octopus that escaped combat, and i imagine the other ones only in the post game dungeon judging from the mastery achievement %

Combine pointy hat with instability to get three turns of paralyze with one summon

Actually, swamp kids and dry kids have every blue magic in the game

Swamp kids can be found underwater just north of Neptune shrine
