Originally, they were just telling her to use a Light Glyph to snap out of the nightmare. It wasn't specifically about Titan magic, just using the spell to break her out of the nightmare.

right, but what I'm trying to get at is... how would they know this would work? It seems like a strange inference. If magic alone would break someone out of the spell, then one of the many witches of the boiling isles would have thought about it and done so. The light glyph only works, near as I can tell, because it's titan magic

Both because we don't know, by the time it was relevant, she might have changed her mind, maybe she would have seen a more compelling direction for the character.
And not as relevant for TOH, but my stance is "if you want the good boy points for representation, you actually have to have the balls to represent, not confirm it later on twitter."
Now, TOH is a show with massive balls so it's not relevant in this case, but generally why I don't like after the fact canon details about shows.

So I just had a theory
The owl house ended one year ago today and it had an eclipse and it’s finale. Today is the solar eclipse in the US so it can be theorized that if the third season was not cut short that the series would have most likely ended today.
