​I'm on a Samsung device and having a major issue with the "Free up space" feature in the Immich mobile app.
​It says it runs successfully, but no space is freed, nothing actually gets deleted, and nothing shows up in my Samsung Gallery Trash/Recycle Bin.

Nothing into bin of "my files"

Storage analysis says "90 GB of other files" and there are no buttons to delete them.

I don't see any logs related to failures. Can you try Freeing up space and share the logs after? Also, you can from the main timeline, select an asset that has been backed up but also has a local asset (has a clock check mark indicator) and try deleting local from there?

When I go to the regular photos on Immich and delete them from the device, they do disappear from my gallery (and I think the same happens when I do it via the “Free up some space” feature, but while they’re removed from the gallery, they’re still stuck somewhere—I don’t know where in the phone—and the space isn’t actually freed up? I’m not sure if this makes sense—I don’t think we’ll see it in the app logs, right? I’ll post the app logs right after a local deletion test.

I wanted the app logs to check any failures from the free up operation. If they're indeed removed from the system gallery as well, I'm not sure there is much we can do. You can try restarting the device and check. I also wonder if Samsung is moving them to a hidden "trash" directory somewhere. Can you check the gallery trash / file manager trash to see if they show up there?

Are you sure these are your media files? The last one says backup_settings.json.crypt15 and the other files seems to have the same extension as well?
