Did you modify files inside immichs internal library outside of immich?

sharp basin
#

Nope the process was upload via app -> run storage template migration

#

New install?

sharp basin
#

It was an old install with an external library, I deleted the external library and turned on the android import basically

Ok, I'll wait for the information that the bot asked for to be posted before commenting further

Storage-wise the entire /opt/immich is a single ZFS dataset and there is ample space available

debates just wiping the install and restarting clean

What is your ZFS and hardware setup? file indeed doesn’t exist in either spot?

sharp basin
#

For immich it's a single device pool on an nvme and I did a full find -type f -exec md5 on the immich library folder and compared it with the files I synced, that's how I found out that a couple are missing

#

(and zpool says the device is healthy, 0 errors)

Can you try unmounting the mount point and see if it happens to be on the underlying disk ?

#

Your storage setup seems more robust than most so this is odd

#

Do you have ZFS snapshots you can inspect?

Ok I have a theory, inspecting the missing pictures they are all related to a single album - I may have tried the immich import feature in the past with that album as a test case then forgot about it when I didn't care about the internal library. I think I'll do a full resetup on a clean instance to see if it happens again, it may just be old baggage when I was using immich as just a 'viewer' than 'archiver'

I'll not waste much more of your time and ping back if it comes back 🙂
