@fervent current Can you help take a look at a possible sync bug here
have there been any manual edit of the database on your instsance?
Sorry to chime in, im having the same issue
Reverse proxy is through caddy, however the issue persisted even with http port forwarding
@onyx crow are you having any log output in the immich docker logs when trying to sync? Say, along the lines of a DB error?
@worn goblet My hunch is that it could be from one the recent PR regarding sync changes, ring any bell?
no idea can't see anything
Was looking for something like i posted in my help desk message
i dont think we touched syncassetexifv1, only new sync stuff is the edits and face entities i believe
manually selecting upload on a few times works, but at least 1 item will fail. not consistent as it is random with the 1 image which will fail
have you made any manual edits to your database?
Funny that my logs bring up issues when looking at faces and the DB
are you getting the exact same log with the error on syncassetexifv1?
otherwise you have a different error and should open a new help desk thread
No idea how this missed my radar. @onyx crow Can you export your SQLite DB from the mobile app and execute the following query against it and share the output?
select * from remote_asset_entity where id = '4b841de1-ec01-4b96-9bb4-9e5a7661194c'
lachlan@Lachlans-MacBook-Air-8 ~ % sqlite3 /Users/lachlan_1_2/Downloads/immich_export_1775848653101.sqlite
SQLite version 3.51.0 2025-06-12 13:14:41
Enter ".help" for usage hints.
sqlite> select * from remote_asset_entity where id = '4b841de1-ec01-4b96-9bb4-9e5a7661194c';
sqlite> ```
sorry for the delay, was traveling internationally yesterday
I'm afraid the asset for which the edits are being synced are missing in the local DB. Can you open the following in a browser and see if the asset still exists? https://<server-url>/photos/4b841de1-ec01-4b96-9bb4-9e5a7661194c. A log out and log in should fix this, but I'd like to troubleshoot this before falling back to doing it. But since you're travelling and want to access your instance ASAP, please feel free to log out and log back in and that should most likely fix your sync issue
it does indeed exist
Logging out seemed to fix it!
but somehow the assets remaining are negative
