#Removing superfluous motion image MP4s

I'm currently importing a Google takeout using Immich-go & notice that motion photos from Pixel OG to Pixel 4 (named MVIMG*) have accompanying MP4 files that were uploaded to immich, unlike newer ones that are correctly disregarded by IG, and have different naming format.

I see these files using a file browser but cannot find them within immich browser, where only details of the jpeg show.

How can I remove these MP4 files without breaking the database? Can I just delete them manually using a file explorer?

PS. I started a new account to do a manual upload, first with just the jpgs, where motion showed ok, then the MP4s, which immich flagged as duplicates & didn't upload them.

The container format stored your motion photos as jpg+mp4, you just see them seperately on the file system here
