#Images not backing up to albums

Since January 2026 my images have been backing up to my server, but they are not preserving the album from the file system on my phone like they used to.

For example: photos from the folder "dogs" on my phone are still backing up to immich, but they are no longer syncing to the album "dogs" in immich as they did before Jan 24, 2026.

In my immich backup settings, I have "sync albums" enabled and I've even tried using the "organize into albums" button.

My setup is running immich on unraid docker container, and the official immich app on android (pixel 9 xl pro)

It seems when I connect locally to back up photos, it's able to sync the albums correctly.

I am using NPM to connect over a cloudflare proxy connection. I also have issues with the 100mb limit backup with cloudflare, even though I'm not using a tunnel.

Is there a good way I can use my reverse proxy to backup photos/videos?
