Background sync not working on android?

Hello, I'm on a oneplus 12 and the background sync never pops up and doesn't appear to be working. I disabled battery optimization for immich and enabled the background sync notification... Not sure what I'm doing wrong

Just FYI im on android v 2.5.5

I deployed the server with helm. If you need more logs lmk. I don't see anything in the server that applies

When you take photos do you see them get uploaded? Fyi background task on android is triggered when taken a photo at the moment

Make sure to turn on notification as well

As it helps to keep the background worker alive

I tried that, and I definitely turned on the notification. When I open the app 30s after taking a photo it still hasn't synced. Let me test again though
