You upgraded to 2.x without passing the breaking changes for 1.136, it's a miracle your install still works

#

please take good note of 1.133 and 1.136

hi thanx! how did you see i did that ? would you rather reccomend a fresh install of immich? this seems very critical apparently ?

#

and is this the core of the issue im experiencing ? or just a general comment ?

little fossil
#

Because your compose is outdated

#

You can take a backup and then upgrade, do note that you need a postgres container with both extensions for the migration to happen

little fossil
#

You should try direct IP and see if you still have the issue

i am using direct ip, when im on my home wifi i acces immich via 192.168.1.250:2283

viral compass
#

well i did the upgrade, video transcode still very slow, but at least im on vectorchord now 🙂

huzzah, no hiccups?

viral compass
#

nope

#

What kind of videos are you loading, and what browser(s)?

#

Only Vivaldi?

viral compass
#

mp4, and yes vivaldi as written in my post. but the native immich app has the same problems

#

im completely off anything US big tech related, and preferably only EU-based. so vivaldi is my only option.

One thing I can think of is that transcoding options don't matter too much in the sense that Immich always sends the video over and does no on-the-fly bitrate adjustment like plex/jellyfin would

#

But then again, a couple dozen mbit/s is not a lot even for a usb-c raid enclosure

i recon the video download speed is even below the download speed of the raw file

What kind of resolution are you targetting?
