#Videos do not play on the iOS app

For some reason, I realized that videos in Immich do not play in the iPhone app. You can open the video, and the audio plays, but the image stays at the first frame and does not play. In android there are no issues. In Immich settings, i have it set to the accepted formats not to transcode are H.264 and VP9.

Any ideas? I've been google searching, but couldn't find anything specific. Thanks in advance.

I noticed that videos were being transcoded to VP9 format, I guess iPhones do not yet support this format

#

I tried recoding a video to H264 format, but the iphone doesn't support it either, apparently.

It definitely does support h264. Any logs?

#

Also please share your exact encoding settings

#

Does the video work on the web?

I think the phone must have cached the old video, I''ll try again tomorrow. On the web they play without issues. I'll provide the logs tomorrow

Ok, new videos that are transcoded to h264 appear to play just fine on the iphone, so I'll just transcode my library to that format. I just assume that VP9 is not fully supported on iOS yet.
