#App sync status counts don't match assets on server

Initial IOS backup I selected too much for the phone to upload, so halfway through the initial backup from the phone, I cancelled and started with a smaller subset of albums/media. Now that the second batch has finished the counts don't match up or make sense.

In app:
Total - 7681
Backup - 7681
Remainder - 0

In app sync status:

Local - 7681
Remote - 11969
Hashed Assets - 7681

In web (server)

Photos - 6081
Videos - 1597

I reset file cache and sqlite on the app as well as logged out/in and it sync'd then displayed the same info. What did I do wrong, or what should I do now? I'm afraid I'm missing data on remote.

in the upload dir:

find . -type f | wc -l
11970

#

this aligns with the app displaying: Remote - 11969 - one file may have auto-synced from the app since this was originally posted

I was thinking this may have something to do with ios live view files not being considered photos/videos, but these are all supported formats according to the docs.

find . -type f | awk -F. '{if (NF>1) print $NF}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn
5589 MOV
2844 JPG
2776 HEIC
265 mov
229 jpeg
109 jpg
73 PNG
44 heic
35 mp4
3 GIF

1 JPEG

I'm not sure what else to do to figure out why remote doesn't match local

The numbers aren’t always reliable in the app

There’s nothing you can do to fix that on your end right now
