@bold yoke I replied to the op of the thread, not you

@bold yoke sorry for taking only this now, but can you share the output of this command in TrueNAS shell:
sudo ls -la /mnt/.ix-applications/releases/immich/volumes/ix_volumes

#

And also tell me how much storage you have left on your TrueNAS system?

celest pike
#

Just to explain a bit more, your TrueNAS version is a bit outdated for the apps, as TrueNAS changed the underlying system (If a car example helps: they went from diesel to gasoline) but you missed the timeline where everything was automagically handled and now you have to make the change "by yourself"
So I just need to know where everything is right now, then so we can copy your data to be exactly sure where there are, then update your NAS, and finally make immich work/update again

that command didnt work, so I made my way (cd) through the file structure to get to ix_volumes, which yields:
library pgBackup pgData profile thumbs uploads video
I have 7 TB left

Can you do
pwd

And also

du -sh

And where the output ?

bold yoke
#

28K

celest pike
#

Yeah so it's empty

#

I have no clue where your data is that is so weird

#

I'll have a look in 1h

celest pike
#

Do you have all originals images and video elsewhere ?

bold yoke
#

pwd gives /home/admin

#

actually. I am going to download all the pictures and videos using the web application (which works). Update truenas and then reinstall immich. So one question please:
duriung install (as I remember a year ago), it asks if you want to use the defualt file structure, OR create your own. which is best ?

Read the whole thing especially for the datasets permissions before reinstalling immich

Wait you say your instance is working and you can download the images?

The data is definitely somewhere, I'll have a look how it was managed when it was kubernetes
