Let's take a step back

  • Could you share your compose file and .env file? (If you made any modifications to them compared to the stock files downloaded from Immich releases)
  • Your storage layout - output of df -h when the external SSD is connected.
  • Elaborate a bit regarding "i want to connnect a external ssd to save my pictures on the ssd". (Asking details because Immich has 2 kinds of libraries currently - the native/internal/upload library and the external library. My advice for ext lib may be spurious)

btw whatever i did in my .yml i messed it up cannot connect to immich since then
