8gb ram for storing photos i am using an external hdd 1tb

#

*On rpi 8gb ram on phone 8gb ram too idk whitch u asked for

crystal lynx
gritty sage
#

Yea but just some light containers

crystal lynx
#

What's the ram used on the system when immich is not running?

gritty sage
gritty sage
#

Around 14%

crystal lynx
#

Just run htop from terminal to know

#

Is swap being utilized?

gritty sage
#

Dont think so

crystal lynx
#

Can you share a screenshot of the htop result?

gritty sage
crystal lynx
#

Ok so you're using 1gb, meaning you have about 7 free. Did you change the clip model or is it default?

gritty sage
#

Everything is default except the upload path

crystal lynx
#

Upload, library, database?

gritty sage
#

Huh

#

I just changed the location to upload on external hdd

#

Instead of sd card

crystal lynx
#

Ok. What do the logs show?

#

I'd probably try changing all jobs to a concurrency of 1, and see if it works from there. Might be a good starting point

gritty sage
#

Okay and what abt the syncing and mobile app tho

crystal lynx
#

Let's start with that and see what happens. I'm fairly sure you're limited by hardware somehow. Either memory or iops

#

Hopefully not disk space

gritty sage
#

I know 1 person who uses exactly same rpi for this purpose and he told it works fine

crystal lynx
#

I mean yes it'll work, how well is certainly debatable

gritty sage
#

Also if ya want here u can read some logs i dont think they will help much tho

crystal lynx
#

Are you sure your env is properly setup?

immich-server | Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, mkdir 'upload/upload/dca5ac92-e3dc-4ebb-a435-c18e6115cd26/96/e3'

#

/docker compose yml

gritty sage
crystal lynx
#

It's from the log

gritty sage
#

Idk

#

The top path is the only thing i changed

#

And it was before instak so everything shkuld be normal

#

Srry if im stupid but yh i dont understand docker much

crystal lynx
#

I'm sorry I don't have experience with casaos. I'm not sure if your directories even exist / if you have any media on the server.

gritty sage
#

I do

#

On pc it showed me pics that it synced from phone

#

But how do i fix the sunchronization and app things tho

crystal lynx
#

Well, for some reason it's expecting files to exist that do not

crystal lynx
gritty sage
gritty sage
#
