#extract metadata always at 1 active 0 waiting

might just be beacuse i just setup immich with immich go and a large takeout (73gb) but the extract metadata job is always at 1 - 0 .

Sidecar metadata saeems to not run if i hit sync it will run for a second then stop but the number goes down each time.

is extract metadata just so fast the numbers never change or could this be an issue?

for refence i have 15067 photos (27gib) and 1724 (41gib) videos. its been running over an hour maybe closer to two.

changing the PostgreSQL_Immich docker to tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:pg16-v0.3.0 and restarting immich caused the job to finish after 60 seconds

trying to run sidecar metadata discover made the number of missing over 1500 and stopped right away again.

running missing on extract metadata now shows the updated amount of 50 active and waiting now shows over 1500.

my guess is the updated sql allowed the job to run and this will need to happen before sidecar.

if someone could confirm this then all will be well thank you.

I deleted them and hit missing and nothing really happened it didn't run and nothing popped up in the logs.

So I did all again and looks like it's fine so far

I'm going to let this finish see if there's any errors and then I'll try to run sidecar again and I'll come back and let you know

Thumbnails ran all the way through with zero errors.

Sidecar metadata will still not run

Well I don't know now first time I clicked on it it showed 15 - 7,000 and stopped running after 3 seconds

Now when I click on it it shows 0 - 1 and then stops running so I don't know on that one.

I'll leave this open while I run the rest of the jobs just in case there's another error I need help with on one of them.

Almost 100% of the photos have moved from uploads to library and there's no sidecars anymore

I guess it processed them already but idk why it shows 1500 on the sidecar job when I try to run it then
