Hello.
I installed an Immich server (v1.121) on an Orange Pi 3B board running both U-Boot and Linux upstream. I used the docker-compose method. And except for the addition of an external library path I used the default files.
At the creation/startup of the server container, I get the following error (see the full log attached):
ERROR [Microservices:MetadataService] Unable to initialize reverse geocoding: Error: timeout exceeded when trying to connect
I also noticed that the "extract metadata" job is paused.
Please let me know how I can fix that.
Thanks in advance.

Information
In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like
fdisk -landdf -h). - The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.
Without the right information we can't work out what the problem is. Help us help you ;)

You haven't even remotely provided all the information the bot asks for
Also, the logs you posted don't show any errors
(after it started)
Have a better look: $ grep ERR immich-geocoding-err.log [Nest] 18 - 12/05/2024, 3:53:31 PM ERROR [Api:EventRepository] Websocket connection error: UnauthorizedException: Invalid user token [Nest] 8 - 12/05/2024, 3:53:58 PM ERROR [Microservices:MetadataService] Unable to initialize reverse geocoding: Error: timeout exceeded when trying to connect
A problem is that the "EXTRACT METADATA" job is paused and it must be resumed in order to allow an import to happen
It doesn't strike me like the expected behavior. Is it ?
My statement still holds
That is before it started up
And even after asking twice you still haven't provided all the information the bot asks for
I'll provide more detailed information tomorrow. The board is running some benchmarks on Immich for the next hours.
It appears that the issue is not systematic. So I suspect there is a problem with my network. It would have been helpful for me to get the URLs used by Immich in order to check them. But I understand it is probably not the right place to get this information. So let's close this ticket.
