Im not following? If it wont let me, it wont let me
Use the terminal then
Ok interesting. I would not have thought that would work
If you can't do something with a terminal you'd be actually fucked :P
Thanks
Did you manage to do it? :)
Yeah it worked great. Immich took it, changes backup location to my external drive, but oddly still shows the "storage" space from the internal in the app
Did you recreate the container after you changed it in your env file?
I.e. ran docker compose up again
Oh wait you said you changed the "backup location"?
You want to change UPLOAD_LOCATION if you want to change where Immich stores the images
Yeah i mispoke. I changed upload location
Then do that and if it doesn't work please share your env and compose file
Sure. Thanks
Same problem. I have not touched the docker compose file and literally the only think ive changed in the .env is the upload location
You changed the upload location
And then you ran docker compose up -d?
And yuo saved the env file?
Yep. I can even see that it build the folder structure in the new location
Can you run docker container inspect immich-server?
I feel like that space in the path may be screwing up stuff
Spaces in paths are generally cursed
Sounds logical. Im removing it now and re trying
No cigar
I guess it is not a huge deal. It is putting things where they should be
Oh wait you said you were on macos right?
There's an issue with displaying the storage capacity on macos lmao
Sometimes it says like 200TiB or something insane
I thought it was too small 😅
Yeah you cannot fix that
👍
