HEIC not showing on android phone

I have a iPhone and my wife has Android. My photos get uploaded as HEIC and they show up in her app but as a broken image and she can view or open them? Is HEIC not supported in the android immich app?

You are using iOS18 beta I assume?

it uses a different HEIC format. the fix for this will be avaialble in the next release

Is there an easy way to fix the ones that were uploaded previous the fix?

You can run thumbnail generation job for missing one
