Unable to load and play .mts video using immich Android app

First time here,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right channel so I'll start here

Issue:
-Unable to load and play .mts video using immich Android app

What worked:
-Click share button and Play with VLC
-Playing through the web interface on Android Chrome browser

Thoughts:
If Immich App native video player couldn't handle MTS then can I change the default behaviour when opening video asset to "Play in VLC"?

If the issue is with .mts file, then how can I filter and select all video assets by filetype,
so that I can extract and remove them from immich library,
convert to .mov ,
reupload to immich

I understand that MTS file aren't supported currently

Is there a way to designate an external player by default?

Updated to latest server and android app (as of 18-Mar-24)

problematic video confirmed wouldn't play on multiple android device (Samsung A13, Redmi Note 11)

would play on ipad but muted

It'd be great if anybody can educate me on ways to make the video file compatible for immich app🙏

Just to confirm, you wrote that you also tried to convert it to mp4 and it didn't work for you, right?

Yup, using TEncoder with setting as shown

I reproduced the problem, and was able to get the file to work on mobile app (Android 13)
What I did was change the setting of AUDIO CODEC to:

It's playing in wrong aspect ratio on the app😣

It's strange, I don't think it's a matter of the coding, maybe a bug in the app? Can you try checking on another phone through the app?
